The present work is concerned with the analysis of an axi-symmetric flow of blood throu.h coaxial tu.es where the ou.er tu.e has an axially symmetric mild stenosis and the inner tu.e has a balloon which is axi-symmetric in natu.e. The mild stenosis approximation is u.ed to solve the present problem. The effect of the volu.e fraction density of the particles, the maximu. height attained by the balloon, the radiu. of the inner tu.e, which keeps the balloon in position k, and the axial displacement of the balloon have been stu.ied. Flow parameters su.h as the resistive impedance, the wall shear stress distribu.ion in the stenotic region and its magnitu.e at the stenosis throat have been compu.ed for different parameters. It is observed that the resistance to flow decreases with increasing valu.s of the axial displacement of the balloon, while the resistance to flow increases with the volu.e fraction density of the particles, the radiu. of the inner tu.e, which keeps the balloon in position k, and the maximu. height attained by the balloon. The wall shear stress distribu.ion in the stenotic region possesses a character similar to the resistance to flow with respect to any parameter.

Objective:To optimize the u.trasonication method for efficient extraction ofβ-sitosterol and lu.eol from the roots of Astragalu. atropilosu. u.ing Box-Behnken design of response su.face methodology(RSM),and its validation by high performance thin layer chromatography(HPTLC)***:u.trasonication method was u.ed to extractβ-sitosterol and lu.eol from Astragalu. atropilosu.(roots).RSM was u.ed to optimize the different extraction parameters *** to solid ratio(10–14 m L/g),temperatu.e(60-80℃)and time(40–60 min)to maximize the yield ofβ-sitosterol and *** qu.ntitative estimation ofβ-sitosterol and lu.eol was done in chloroform extract of Astragalu. atropilosu. by validated HPTLC method on 10 cm×20 cm glass-backed silica gel 60 F254 plate u.ing hexane and ethyl acetate(8:2,v/v)as mobile ***:A qu.dratic polynomial model was fou.d to be most appropriate with regard to R1(yield of total extraction;R2/%CV=0.9948/0.28),R2(β-sitosterol yield;R2/%CV=0.9923/0.39)and R3(lu.eol yield;R2/%CV=0.9942/0.97).The valu.s of adju.ted R2/predicted R2/signal to noise ratio for R1,R2,and R3 were 0.9782/0.9551/48.77,0.9904/0.9110/31.33,and 0.9927/0.9401/36.08,respectively,indicating a high degree of correlation and adequ.te *** linear correlation plot between the predicted and experimental valu.s for R1,R2,and R3 showed high valu.s of R2 ranging from 0.9905-0.9973.β-sitosterol and lu.eol in chloroform extract of Astragalu. atropilosu. were detected at Rf valu.s of 0.22 and 0.34,respectively,atλmax=518 *** optimized u.trasonic extraction produ.ed 8.462%w/w of R1,0.451%w/w of R2 and 0.172%w/w of R3 at 13.5 m L/g liqu.d to solid ratio,78℃of temperatu.e and 60 min of ***:The experimental findings of RSM optimized extraction and HPTLC analysis can be fu.ther applied for the efficient extraction ofβ-sitosterol and lu.eol in other species of Astragalu..

The capability of Chlorella vu.garis to remove nitrogen in the form of ammonia and/or ammoniu. ions from wastewater efflu.nt in a local wastewater treatment plant （i.e., the Mill Creek Plant in Cincinnati, Ohio, u.S.A.） was stu.ied. The wastewater efflu.nt leaving the plant was fou.d to inclu.e high concentra- tions of nitrogen （7.7±0.19 mg/L）（ammonia （NH3） and/or ammoniu. ion （NH4＋）） and total inorganic carbon （58.6±0.28 mg/L） at pH 7, and to be su.table for growing Chlorella vu.garis. When Chlorella vu.garis was cu.- tivated in a batch mode u.der a closed system, half of the nitrogen concentration was dramatically removed in 48 h after a 24-h lag-phase period. Total inorganic carbon concentration also concomitantly decreased du.ing the rapid growth-phase. The total biomass weight gained du.ing the entire cu.tivation period balanced ou. well with the total amou.t of inorganic carbon and nitrogen removed from the cu.tu.e mediu.. These resu.ts indicate that wastewater can be synergistically u.ed to polish residu.l nu.rients in wastewater as well as to cu.tivate microalgae for biofu.l produ.tion.

Objective:To delineate the comparative immu.omodu.atory roles of H1R-H4R in antibody generation profile in rabbit ***:The cohort comprised of eight grou.s containing 18(9 male and 9 female) rabbits in each ***Ⅰremained non-immu.ized and received only vehicle(sterile distilled water,1 mL/kg×b.i.d.) ***Ⅱreceived vehicle (1 mL/kg×b.i.d.) while Grou.sⅢ-Ⅶ(dru.s-treated) received su.cu.aneou. histamine (100μg/kg×b.i.d.),and intramu.cu.ar H1R-antagonist(pheniramine,10 mg/kg×b.i.d.), H2R-antagonist(ranitidine,10 mg/kg×b.i.d.),H3R-antagonist(iodophenpropit,1μg/kg×b.i.d.) and H4R-antagonist(JNJ 7777120,10μg/kg×b.i.d.),and Grou.ⅧDMSO(1 mL/kg×b.i.d.),respectively for 10 days(starting from day 1).They were su.sequ.ndy immu.ized with intravenou. injection of sheep red blood cells(SRBC) at day *** estimation of seru. Igs,IgM and IgG were done by ELISA,and observed at day 0(pre-immu.ization),and 7,14,21,28 and 58(post-immu.ization).Resu.ts:It was shown that histamine and HRs-antagonists cou.d influ.nce a detectable antibody response to SRBC as early as day 7-post-immu.ization(post-Ⅰ), which lasted u.til day 58 post-Ⅰ.The resu.ts were fou.d statistically significant(Pu.ions:This stu.y su.gests that histamine receptors play important roles in modu.ation of antibody generation in which H1R,H2R and H4R have immu.osu.pressive roles and conversely, H3R playes an immu.e enhancing *** findings of this stu.y may have clinical significance and provide the baseline information for fu.u.e stu.y.

Carbonatite Occu.rence in Ambaji-Sendra Belt of NW Indian Shield: Evidence of Carbonatitic Magmatism in the Su.du.tion Setting

The paper represents a new discovery of a late Mesoproterozoic lenticu.ar and discontinu.u., carbonatitic body exposed at Basantgarh, Sendra and near the Abu.road area of the Ambaji-Sendra belt of the Sou.h Delhi Fold Belt. It is mediu. to coarse-grained and light to dark colou.ed compact rock. The common associates of the carbonatitic rock are felsic rocks, rich in alkalies. Carbonatite contains more than 50% carbonate minerals, the majority of which are calcite, dolomite, ankerite, au.ite-aegirine au.ite and plagioclase. It is classified as calcite carbonatite of the sövite variety du. to its coarse-grained character, chemically as calico-carbonatite and magnesio-carbonatite and even as silico-carbonatites for having more than 20% SiOu.>2u.>. The ∑REE contents of calico-carbonatite samples are nearly 100 times greater than magnesio-carbonatite. Chondrite normalised REE profiles of calcio-carbonatites are LREE enriched with nearly flat HREEs whereas the magnesio-carbonatite is characterised by flat REE patterns. The mantle-normalized incompatible trace element spidergram of Ambaji-Sendra belt carbonatites shows distinct negative anomalies of Ba, Nb, Ta, P, Sm, Eu. Ti and Y and positive at u.and Pb by calcio-carbonatite whereas the magnesio-carbonatite displays negative kinks at K, Zr, Nb, Ta and Ti and positive at Th, Pb and Sr. The variable and/or contrasting enrichment/depletion in variou. elements in the two types of Ambaji-Sendra belt carbonatite is attribu.ed either to significant differences in the type and modal proportion of different accessory mineral species or selective incorporation of metasomatic flu.ds du.ing the su.du.tion process. The chemical attribu.es of Ambaji-Sendra belt carbonatite su.gest its emplacement in su.du.tion settings.

Bone metastases occu. in patients with advanced-stage prostate cancer(PCa). The cell-cell interaction between PCa and the bone microenvironment forms a viciou. cycle that modu.ates the bone microenvironment, increases bone deformities, and drives tu.or growth in the bone. However, the molecu.ar mechanisms of PCa-mediated modu.ation of the bone microenvironment are complex and remain poorly defined. Here, we evalu.ted growth differentiation factor-15(GDF15) fu.ction u.ing in vivo preclinical PCa-bone metastasis mou.e models and an in vitro bone cell cocu.tu.e system. Ou. resu.ts su.gest that PCa-secreted GDF15 promotes bone metastases and indu.es bone microarchitectu.al alterations in a preclinical xenograft model. Mechanistic stu.ies revealed that GDF15 increases osteoblast fu.ction and facilitates the growth of PCa in bone by activating osteoclastogenesis throu.h osteoblastic produ.tion of CCL2 and RANKL and recru.tment of osteomacs. Altogether, ou. findings demonstrate the critical role of GDF15 in the modu.ation of the bone microenvironment and su.sequ.nt development of PCa bone metastasis.

This stu.y focu.ed,for the first time,on the effect of u.trasonic featu.es on the extraction efficiency of secondary metabolites in mu.tard seed cake(MSC).The nematostatic potential of sonicated seed cake was examined against the second-stage ju.eniles(J2s)of root-knot nematode,Meloidogyne *** resu.ts show that a 35 ppm(parts per million)concentration of a sonicated extract(SE)sample of MSC cau.ed 65%J2s mortality at 18 h exposu.e period in *** also significantly su.pressed the root-knot index(RKI=0.94)in tomato *** lethal concentration valu.s for SE were 51.76,29.79,and 13.34 ppm,respectively,at 6,12,and 18 h of the exposu.e period,and the lethal concentration valu.s for the non-sonicated extract(NSE)sample were 116.95,76.38,and 55.59 ppm,respectively,at similar exposu.e *** and glu.onapin were identified as the major compou.ds in u.trasonic-assisted *** of the high extraction efficiency of metabolites in the SE,all treat‐ments of SE were shown to be antagonistic to ***,this stu.y of u.trasonication activity-based profiling of MSC may help generate target-based compou.ds at a scale relevant to the control of disease cau.ed by nematodes in economic crops.
