The TiO2-water based nanofluid flow in a channel bounded by two porous plates under an oblique magnetic field and variable thermal conductivity is formulated as a boundary-value problem(BVP). The BVP is analytically solved with the homotopy analysis method(HAM). The result shows that the concentration of the nanoparticles is independent of the volume fraction of TiO2nanoparticles, the magnetic field intensity, and the angle. It is inversely proportional to the mass diffusivity. The fluid speed decreases whereas the temperature increases when the volume fraction of the TiO2nanoparticles increases. This confirms the fact that the occurrence of the TiO2nanoparticles results in the increase in the thermal transfer rate. The fluid speed decreases and the temperature increases for both the pure water and the nanofluid when the magnetic field intensity and angle increase. The maximum velocity does not exist at the middle of the symmetric channel, which is in contrast to the plane-Poiseuille flow, but it deviates a little bit towards the lower plate, which absorbs the fluid with a very low suction velocity. If this suction velocity is increased, the temperature in the vicinity of the lower plate will be *** explicit expression for the friction factor-Reynolds number is then developed. It is shown that the Hartmann number of the nanofluid is smaller than that of pure water,while the Nusselt number of the nanofluid is larger than that of pure water. However,both the parameters increase if the magnetic field intensity increases.

Congestion of transmission line is a vital issue and its management pose a technical challenge in power system deregulation. Congestion occurs in deregulated electricity market when transmission capacity is not sufficient to simultaneously accommodate all constraints of power transmission through a line. Therefore, to manage congestion, a locational marginal price （LMP） based zonal congestion management approach in a deregulated elec- tricity market has been proposed in this paper. As LMP is an economic indicator and its difference between two buses across a transmission line provides the measure of the degree of congestion, therefore, it is efficiently and reliably used in deregulated electricity market for conges- tion management. This paper utilizes the difference of LMP across a transmission line to categorize various congestion zones in the system. After the identification of congestion zones, distributed generation is optimally placed in most congestion sensitive zones using LMP difference in order to manage congestion. The performance of the proposed methodology has been tested on the IEEE 14-bus system and IEEE 57-bus system.

In existing power system networks,the positioning and sizing of multi-DG is critical at the optimum locations for effective energy *** optimal power flow is assessed using the NR method(without DG)in which performance parameters such as real power loss,accuracy,selectivity and MSE are obtained,but in an undesirable *** meet load demand;multi-DGs are placed and their optimal locations are assessed by the proposed heuristic probability distribution methodology and an ANN because existing techniques provides poor performance parameters for selecting the location and sizing of *** optimal positions of multi-DGs are estimated in terms of performance parameters including real power loss of transmission network,accuracy,selectivity and MSE,while the performance parameters obtained with the ANN are better than the heuristic ***,the sizing of multi-DGs is evaluated in relation to active and reactive *** is found that that sizes of multi-DGs are smaller with ANN than with heuristic *** is preferable to connect the buses having lowest real power losses with the smallest *** performance analysis is tested in the standard IEEE 9-bus and IEEE 57-bus systems on *** improve the distortion level in real and reactive power,multi-FACTS namely TCSC,TSC and STATCOM are *** switching of TCSC and TSC is done by SPWM while STATCOM switching is controlled with *** locations of multi-FACTS devices are chosen for buses having larger distortion and the sizing of multi-FACTS devices is also optimally *** application of multi-FACTS devices helps to improve power quality and fulfill load demand with minimal size in order to make the system economical.

This study aimed to examine the induction of disease resistance, and growth response in chilli plants elicited by plant growth promoting endophytic bacteria [Pseudomonas aeruginosa （UPMP3）, Burkholderia cepacia （UPMB3）, and Serratia marcescens （UPMS3）]. Seed bacterization with UPMP3 and UPMB3 significantly increased peroxidase （PO）, polyphenol oxidase （PPO）, and phenylalanine ammonia-lyase （PAL） activities. This increase corresponded to greater reduction in pre-and post-emergence damping-off caused by Sclerotium rolfsii. UPMS3 alone or as mixture with UPMP3 and UPMB3 did not show any significant reduction in disease incidence. However, all the isolates tested did not inhibit the seed germination and seedling establishment in chilli.

Multi-pass TIG welding was conducted on plates(15×300×180 mm^(3))of aluminum alloy Al-5083 that usually serves as the component material in structural applications such as cryogenics and chemical processing *** formation and solidification cracking are the most common defects when TIG welding Al-5083 alloy,which is sensitive to the welding heat *** the experiment,the heat input was varied from 0.89 kJ/mm to 5 kJ/mm designed by the combination of welding torch travel speed and welding ***,micro-Vicker hardness and Charpy impact tests were executed to witness the impetus response of heat input on the mechanical properties of the *** inspection was performed to assess the joint’s quality and welding *** results show that all the specimens displayed inferior mechanical properties as compared to the base *** was established that porosity was progressively abridged by the increase of heat *** results also clinched that the use of medium heat input(1-2 kJ/mm)offered the best mechanical properties by eradicating welding defects,in which only about 18.26% of strength was *** yield strength of all the welded specimens remained unaffected indica ted no influence of heat *** melted zone(PMZ)width also affected by heat input,which became widened with the increase of heat *** grain size of PMZ was found to be coarser than the respective grain size in the fusion *** impact testing revealed that the absorbed energy by low heat input specimen(welded at high speed)was greater than that of high heat input(welded at low speed)because of low porosity and the formation of equiaxed grains which induce better impact ***(-196℃)impact testing was also performed and the results corroborate that impact properties under the cryogenic environment revealed no appreciable change after welding at designated heat ***,Macro and micro fractured surfaces of tensile and impact spe

Deep learning has been constantly improving in recent years,and a significant number of researchers have devoted themselves to the research of defect detection *** and recognition of small and complex targets is still a problem that needs to be *** authors of this research would like to present an improved defect detection model for detecting small and complex defect targets in steel *** steel strip production,mechanical forces and environmental factors cause surface defects of the steel ***,the detection of such defects is key to the production of high-quality ***,surface defects of the steel strip cause great economic losses to the high-tech *** far,few studies have explored methods of identifying the defects,and most of the currently available algorithms are not sufficiently ***,this study presents an improved real-time metallic surface defect detection model based on You Only Look Once(YOLOv5)specially designed for small *** the smaller features of the target,the conventional part is replaced with a depthwise convolution and channel shuffle *** assigning weights to Feature Pyramid Networks(FPN)output features and fusing them,increases feature propagation and the network’s characterization *** experimental results reveal that the improved proposed model outperforms other comparable models in terms of accuracy and detection *** precision of the proposed model achieved by mAP@0.5 is 77.5%on the Northeastern University,Dataset(NEU-DET)and 70.18%on the GC10-DET datasets.

Analytic expressions for speed, flux, microrotation, stress, and couple stress in a micropolar fluid exhibiting a steady, symmetric, and one-dimensional electro-osmotic flow in a uniform cylindrical microcapillary were derived under the constraint of the Debye-Hiickel approximation, which is applicable when the cross-sectional radius of the microcapillary exceeds the Debye length, provided that the zeta potential is sufficiently small in magnitude. Since the aciculate particles in a micropolar fluid can rotate without translation, micropolarity affects the fluid speed, fluid flux, and one of the two non-zero components of the stress tensor. The axial speed in a micropolar fluid intensifies when the radius increases. The stress tensor is confined to the region near the wall of the mi- crocapillary, while the couple stress tensor is uniform across the cross-section.

Petrogenesis of Late Cretaceous Volcanism in Kazhaba Area and Its Relationship with Mantle Plume Activity of Reunion Hotspot

Basaltic pillow lavas near the Kazhaba village in Balochistan are found in the tectonic slivers of the Bagh complex： the melange zone beneath the Muslim Bagh ophiolite complex. These volcanics are mainly represented by alkali basalts. The petrography and chemistry suggest that these volcanic rocks belong to mildly to strongly alkaline, intra-plate volcanic rock series. Their low Mg~# and low Cr, Ni and Co contents suggest that the parent magma of these volcanics was not directly derived from a partially melted mantle source, but resulted fractionation in an upper level magma chamber, en-route to eruption. Their LILE and HFSE, enriched primordial mantle-normalized patterns with marked positive Nb anomalies further confirm their within-plate geochemical signatures and are consistent with an enriched mantle source. Their highly enriched LREE patterns and high（La/Yb）_N and（Ce/Yb）_N ratios suggest a partially melted garnet-lherzolite parent magma source. The Zr versus Zr/Y studies suggest that these volcanics were derived from about 15% partially melted enriched mantle source. It is suggested that these Late Cretaceous intra-plate volcanics may represent the mantle plume activity of the Reunion hotspot, and were erupted during the passage of Ceno-Tethys Ocean floor prior to the passage of Indian Plate over it.
