IMAGGS: a radiogenomic framework for identifying multi-way associations in breast cancer subtypes

Investigating correlations between radiomic and genomic profiling in breast cancer(BC)molecular subtypes is crucial for understanding disease mechanisms and providing personalized *** present a well-designed radiogenomic framework image–gene–gene set(IMAGGS),which detects multi-way associations in BC subtypes by integrating radiomic and genomic *** dataset consists of 721 patients,each of whom has 12 ultrasound(US)images captured from different angles and gene mutation *** better characterize tumor traits,12 multi-angle US images are fused using two distinct ***,we analyze complex many-to-many associations between phenotypic and genotypic features using a machine learning algorithm,deviating from the prevalent one-to-one relationship pattern observed in previous *** radiomic and genomic features are screened using these *** addition,gene set enrichment analysis is performed to investigate the joint effects of gene sets and delve deeper into the biological functions of BC *** further validate the feasibility of IMAGGS in a glioblastoma multiforme dataset to demonstrate the scalability of IMAGGS across different modalities and *** together,IMAGGS provides a comprehensive characterization for diseases by associating imaging,genes,and gene sets,paving the way for biological interpretation of radiomics and development of targeted therapy.

Analog spatiotemporal feature extraction for cognitive radio-frequency sensing with integrated photonics

Analog feature extraction(AFE)is an appealing strategy for low-latency and efficient cognitive sensing systems since key features are much sparser than the Nyquist-sampled ***,applying AFE to broadband radio-frequency(RF)scenarios is challenging due to the bandwidth and programmability bottlenecks of analog electronic ***,we introduce a photonics-based scheme that extracts spatiotemporal features from broadband RF signals in the analog *** feature extractor structure inspired by convolutional neural networks is implemented on integrated photonic circuits to process RF signals from multiple antennas,extracting valid features from both temporal and spatial *** of the tunability of the photonic devices,the photonic spatiotemporal feature extractor is trainable,which enhances the validity of the extracted ***,a digital-analog-hybrid transfer learning method is proposed for the effective and low-cost training of the photonic feature *** validate our scheme,we demonstrate a radar target recognition task with a 4-GHz instantaneous *** results indicate that the photonic analog feature extractor tackles broadband RF signals and reduces the sampling rate of analog-to-digital converters to 1/4 of the Nyquist sampling while maintaining a high target recognition accuracy of 97.5%.Our scheme offers a promising path for exploiting the AFE strategy in the realm of cognitive RF sensing,with the potential to contribute to the efficient signal processing involved in applications such as autonomous driving,robotics,and smart factories.

Atomically precise Ru-O-Ru clusters for enhanced water dissociation in alkaline hydrogen evolution

Atomic clusters typically exhibit distinctive electronic structures and physicochemical ***,as the size decreases,their ability to adsorb and dissociate water also diminishes,thereby affecting chemical reactions involving water *** the adsorption and dissociation capabilities of atomic clusters towards water molecules and elucidating the mechanisms underlying their performance enhancement have become important research ***,employing the carrier-anchored strategy,Ru-O-Ru atomic clusters were prepared and displayed excellent activity and durability in the hydrogen evolution ***,the Ru-O-Ru atomic clusters exhibited only 86 mV overpotential at 100 mA·cm−^(2)and superior membrane-electrode-assembly activity than commercial Ru/C *** radiation-based Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic measurements revealed that the modification of oxygen in Ru-O-Ru units promoted the reorientation of water molecules from a H-up orientation to H-down,therefore,enhanced the formation of strong hydrogen-bond network of interfacial water on the surface of Ru-O-Ru clusters,leading to enhanced adsorption and dissociation of water and accelerated Volmer *** findings provide a potential strategy and deep insights for the development of atomic clusters in electrocatalysts.

High power tunable Raman fiber laser at 1.2μm waveband

Development of a high power fiber laser at special waveband,which is difficult to achieve by conventional rare-earth-doped fibers,is a significant *** of the most common methods for achieving lasing at special wavelength is Raman ***-doped fiber(PDF),due to the phosphorus-related large frequency shift Raman peak at 40 THz,is a great choice for large frequency shift Raman ***,by adopting 150 m large mode area triple-clad PDF as Raman gain medium,and a novel wavelength-selective feedback mechanism to suppress the silica-related Raman emission,we build a high power cladding-pumped Raman fiber laser at 1.2μm waveband.A Raman signal with power up to 735.8 W at 1252.7 nm is *** the best of our knowledge,this is the highest output power ever reported for fiber lasers at 1.2μm ***,by tuning the wavelength of the pump source,a tunable Raman output of more than 450 W over a wavelength range of 1240.6–1252.7 nm is *** work proves PDF’s advantage in high power large frequency shift Raman conversion with a cladding pump scheme,thus providing a good solution for a high power laser source at special waveband.

Regulating atomic Fe-Rh site distance for efficient oxygen reduction reaction

Exploring the atomic interaction mechanisms of dense single-atom catalysts(SACs)is of great significance for their application in oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).However,the intrinsic mechanism of the site-distance effect on the catalytic performance has been largely ***,we demonstrate the site-distance effect of Fe-Rh_(x)@NC catalysts in ORR theoretically and *** charge analysis reveals that the strong interaction between Fe and Rh atoms at a certain atomic distance(dFe-Rh)alters the catalytic electronic structure,facilitating the optimization of catalyst adsorption *** by the theoretical calculations,we designed and synthesized the Fe-Rhx@NC catalysts through a spatial confinement *** characterization results prove that the Fe-Rh_(2)@NC has the optimal d_(Fe-Rh),which improves its intrinsic ORR activity,providing a half wave potential of 0.91 V,higher than that of the commercial Pt/C(0.86 V).This study emphasizes the importance of determining the basic mechanism of the site-distance effect in dissimilar metal atoms catalysts,which is conducive to the design of efficient catalyst systems for practical applications.

Heat generated by the quantum defect(QD)in optically pumped lasers can result in detrimental effects such as mode instability,frequency noise,and even catastrophic ***,we demonstrated that boson-peakbased Raman fiber lasers have great potential in low QD laser *** their power scalability and heat load characteristics have yet to be ***,we demonstrate a boson-peak-based Raman fiber amplifier(RFA)with 815 W output power and a QD of 1.3%.The low heat generation characteristics of this low QD RFA are *** experimental and simulation results show that at this power level,the heat load of the low QD RFA is significantly lower than that of the conventional RFA with a QD of 4.8%.Thanks to its low heat generation characteristics,the proposed phosphosilicate-fiber-based low QD RFA provides an effective solution for the intractable thermal issue in optically pumped lasers,which is of significance in reducing the laser’s noise,improving the laser’s stability and safety,and solving the challenge of heat removing.

作为具有鼓吹部和雅乐部双重特征的宫廷乐部类或演奏团体,鼓吹十二案地位的历史沿革值得研究。鼓吹十二案在命名、曲目、演奏场合、功能范围及配器等方面随着时间的推移,在宫廷乐体系中不断被雅化,并在唐宋达到顶峰。由于无法被剥离的鼓吹乐及俗乐特征与制乐者对其雅化需求的不断提高形成矛盾,鼓吹十二案在功能上原有的特殊性被削弱,因而在北宋之后逐渐被边缘化。由于雅化,鼓吹十二案并未随着鼓吹乐的俗化而与民间发生较多关系,而是在朝代更迭中随着宫廷雅乐的沉没而消失。其对宋元舞台艺术有一定的影响,创造出了“舞台上的小舞台”这一表演形式;在当代民间音乐中,长安古乐与鼓吹十二案的朝会奏乐略有相似,是一种继承和发展。

Riverine sulfate sources and behaviors in arid environment,Northwest China:Constraints from sulfur and oxygen isotopes

The fate of riverine sulfate ion (SO_(4)^(2-)) and its environmental effects in arid environment are difficult to evaluate due to its complicated sources and strongly coupled behaviors with water cycle which is significantly modified by *** understand the sulfur cycle in aquatic systems in arid environment,the chemical and sulfur and oxygen isotopic compositions (δ^(34)S_(SO4)and δ^(18)O_(SO4)) of major rivers around the Badain Jaran Desert,northwestern China,were *** rivers had averaged SO_(4)^(2-)content at 1336μmol/L,over 10times higher than the global *** δ^(34)S_(SO4)and δ^(18)O_(SO4)values ranged from-5.3‰to+11.8‰and+1.6‰to+12.8‰,*** end-member analysis and the inverse model showed that riverine sulfate was mainly derived from evaporites dissolution (0-87%),sulfide oxidation (13%-100%) and precipitation (0-33%),indicating heterogeneity in sulfur sources and behaviors along the river drainage with the lithology variations and climate *** isotopic tools combining with hydro-chemistry compositions could be applied to reveal sulfur cycle in arid *** on the calculation,sulfide oxidation plays the primary role in the headwater and upstream in the Qilian-Mountains area,where sulfide is widely *** the proportion of evaporites dissolution contributing to riverine sulfate is much higher in downstream in a drier ***,less precipitation and higher temperature can lead to more intensive evaporation,affecting the process of sulfide oxidation and enhancing the rates of evaporites dissolution and sulfate precipitation in the basin.

Aldehyde oxidase mediated enantioselective metabolic health risk of dinotefuran

Chiral pollutants often pose significant differential environmental health *** this study,the biotransformation of chiral dinotefuran(DIN)and its enantioselective metabolic toxicity mechanisms have been systemically ***,reversedphase chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry was developed to quantify the content of DIN R/S chiral enantiomer with pg level sensitivity,revealing a lower elimination rate constant(K_(e))of S-DIN(0.730 h^(-1))than R-DIN(0.746 h^(-1)).Secondly,the interaction mechanism between DIN metabolism and important endogenous bioactive molecules,such as aldehyde oxidase(AOX)and neurotransmitters,was *** DIN nitro-group was converted into a guanidine group by the reducing site of nearby flavin adenine dinucleotide(FAD)in AOX with the preferred higher affinity of ***,the endogenous tryptophan(Trp)aldehyde metabolic intermediate,5-hydroxyindoleacetaldehyde(5-HIAL),provides a persistent electron donor for DIN reduction via the oxidation-catalyzed site in AOX,resulting in remarkable up-regulation of monoamine neurotransmitters such as serotonin and ***,the higher level of neurotransmitters further mediated dysregulation of oxylipin homeostasis via the serotonergic pathway,where S-DIN exhibited more pronounced liver lipid damage and environmental health risk with the accumulated lipid biomarkers,oxidized triglyceride(OxTG)and oxidized sphingomyelin(OxSM).This study elucidates the AOX-mediated enantioselectivity metabolic pathway of DIN,providing a new analytical method for chiral pollutants and paves the way for their health risk assessments.
