Objective:This study aims to identify the relationship between the intolerance of uncertainty and the fear of COVID-19 in patients awaiting kidney transplantation during the COVID-19 ***:This descriptive and cross-sectional study was performed with the participation of 355 *** data were collected with a patient information form,the intolerance of uncertainty scale–short form(IUS),and the fear of COVID-19 scale(FCV-19S).Results:The mean IUS–short form score of the participants was 53.03±5.11,and their mean FCV-19S score was 30.62±4.10.A statistically highly significant positive relationship was identified between the FCV-19S and IUS scores of the participants(r:0.850;P<0.001).Conclusion:As the patients’intolerance of uncertainty increased,their fears of COVID-19 also *** patients awaiting kidney transplantation during the COVID-19 pandemic,which is full of challenges,to cope with fear and uncertainty,it is recommended that patients are provided with care with a multidisciplinary team approach.

Somalia Mogadishu-Turkey Training and Research Hospital is only powered by diesel generator *** this paper,the energy demand of this hospital is supplied by determining the optimum hybrid power renewable generating ***,numerous hybrid renewable power generating systems including the components like diesel generator,wind turbine,photovoltaic(PV)and battery are considered in different ***,they are technically,environmentally and economically analyzed by using the well-known HOMER ***,a sensitivity analysis is also performed considering variations in three important parameters,namely average wind speed,current diesel price and also solar *** to the results,the optimal system is the standalone Wind/Diesel/Battery hybrid renewable energy system(HRES)with the configuration of 1,000 kW wind turbine,350 kW diesel generator,250 kW power converters and 750 ***,this system has the net present cost of$5,056,700 as well as the cost of energy as$0.191/***,it is clearly occurred that the Wind/Diesel/Battery HRES is eco-friendlier than other HRESs.

The deterioration of endothelial structure plays a very important role in the development of vascular diseases. It is believed that endothelial dysfunction starts in the early stage of kidney disease and is a risk factor of an unfavorable cardiovascular prognosis. Because a direct assessment of biological states in endothelial cells is not applicable, the measurement of endothelial microparticles(EMPs) detached from endothelium during activation or apoptosis is thought to be a marker of early vascular disease and endothelial dysfunction in children with chronic kidney disease(CKD). Few studies have shown increased circulating EMPs and its relationship with cardiovascular risk factors in patients with *** contain membrane proteins and cytosolic material derived from the cell from which they originate. EMPs having CD144, CD 146, CD31+/CD41-, CD51 and CD105 may be used to evaluate the vascular endothelial cell damage and determine asymptomatic patients who might be at higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease in CKD and renal transplant.

The effect of compassion levels and empathic tendencies of intensive care nurses on quality of life: a cross-sectional study

Objective: This study was conducted to determine the effect of compassion levels and empathic tendencies of intensive care nurses' on quality of life. Methods: This descriptive and cross-sectional research study was completed with a total of 202 nurses. The data were collected using the Personal Information Form, Compassion Scale, Empathic Tendency Scale and Professional Quality of Life Scale. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Student t test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis Test, One-way analysis of variance ( ANOVA ) , Spe a rman correlation and Multiple regression analysis. Results: As a result of multiple regression analysis, it was found that the variable of compassion ( β = - 0.263, P < 0.01) had a negative and significant effect on the quality of life of employees;and the empathic tendency ( β = 0.385, P < 0.01) variable had a positive and significant effect on the quality of life of employees. Conclusion: As the compassion levels of intensive care nurses increase, their quality of life decreases;as their empathic tendencies increase, their quality of life also increases. Psychoeducation about compassion and empathy should be given to nurses who work in intensive care units with the aim of reducing compassion fatigue.

In the Turkish society, family is accepted as the basic element of social structure. However, the role and importance ofwomen in the family is mostly neglected. Thirty-three percent of women state that their primary duties are child care and domestictask. Besides duties of women in the house, the participation of women to both agricultural production and activities outside thehouse is quite high. On the other hand, only 5% of women accept income generating activities as the main duty of women. Thepercentage of women who accept all above-mentioned responsibilities as women’s duty is 60%. This high ratio shows that agreat deal of women can participate indoor or outdoor activities depending on the family needs, however, their responsibilitiesstemming from being a mother or wife always have thepriority. However, in rural areas women are involved in agriculturalproduction activities as a labor, in adition to housework, care for children and the elderly. In small and medium-sized enterprises,labor-intensive work is mostly undertaken by women, and workloads are often higher than men. In this study, face-to-face surveyswith 84 women in small-scale livestock farming in villages in the central province of Diyarbakır yielded results. It has beenunderstood that women do not make decisions on domestic affairs in their own family, that they can not decide on their own behalf,they give more opinions on decisions taken, and even some families do not even report opinions on decisions. It may be possible toimprove and increase the living standards and social and economic structures of women living in rural areas by increasing theirknowledge of animal care.
