The toxicity of PM_(2.5)does not necessarily change synchronously with its mass *** this study,the chemical composition(carbonaceous species,water-soluble ions,and metals)and oxidative potential(dithiothreitol assay,DTT)of PM_(2.5)were investigated in 2017/2018 and 2022 in Xiamen,*** decrease rate of volume-normalized DTT(DTTv)(38%)was lower than that of PM_(2.5)(55%)between the two sampling ***,the mass-normalized DTT(DTTm)increased by 44%.Clear seasonal patterns with higher levels in winter were found for PM_(2.5),most chemical constituents and DTTv but not for *** large decrease in DTT activity(84%−92%)after the addition of EDTA suggested that watersoluble metals were the main contributors to DTT in *** increased gap between the reconstructed and measured DTTv and the stronger correlations between the reconstructed/measured DTT ratio and carbonaceous species in 2022were *** decrease rates of the hazard index(32.5%)and lifetime cancer risk(9.1%)differed from those of PM_(2.5)and DTTv due to their different main *** PMF-MLR model showed that the contributions(nmol/(min·m^(3)))of vehicle emission,coal+biomass burning,ship emission and secondary aerosol to DTTv in 2022 decreased by 63.0%,65.2%,66.5%,and 22.2%,respectively,compared to those in 2017/2018,which was consistent with the emission reduction of vehicle exhaust and coal consumption,the adoption of low-sulfur fuel oil used on board ships and the reduced production of ***,the contributions of dust+sea salt and industrial emission increased.

BACKGROUND Despite laparoscopic total hysterectomy provided more benefits to patients and has become one of the most commonly used surgical methods for total ***,vaginal cuff dehiscence is a serious complication after laparoscopic total hysterectomy and so far,there are limited studies on vaginal cuff dehiscence after a total *** To investigate the factors influencing vaginal cuff dehiscence after laparoscopic hysterectomy and the psychological state of the *** This study retrospectively,univariately,and multivariately analyzed the clinical data of patients who experienced vaginal cuff dehiscence after laparoscopic hysterectomy in Yuyao People’s Hospital from January 2015 to December *** regression was utilized to analyze the high-risk factors of vaginal cuff *** Among 1459 cases with laparoscopic hysterectomy,9 reported vaginal cuff dehiscence postoperatively,with an incidence of 0.617%.Univariate logistic regression analysis revealed that preoperative hemoglobin value[odds ratio(OR)=5.12,P=0.016],vaginal cuff suture method(OR=0.26,P=0.048),and postoperative first sexual lifetime(OR=15.86,P=0.002)were associated with vaginal cuff dehiscence following laparoscopic *** logistic regression analysis revealed that preoperative hemoglobin value of<90 g/L(OR=5.17,P=0.015)and time interval between postoperative first sexual life and operation of<3 months(OR=54.00,P=0.004)are independent risk factors for vaginal cuff dehiscence after laparoscopic *** Postoperative hemoglobin and the time interval between postoperative first sexual life and operation were the independent factors of developing vaginal cuff dehiscence after laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Objective: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC), a commonly encountered malignant tumor in the gastrointestinal tract, poses a significant health burden. Bufalin, a pharmacologically active molecule, has been shown to exhibit antitumor activity against various types of cancers. This study investigates the molecular mechanism underpinning the effects of bufalin on ESCCs. Materials and Methods: The impact of bufalin on the proliferation and migration of ESCC cells was evaluated through the utilization of the Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8), scratch assay, and transwell assay. In addition, ribonucleic acid(RNA) sequencing was performed to identify genes that were abnormally expressed in response to bufalin treatment. Western blotting was utilized to ascertain the expression levels of protein arginine methyltransferase-6(PRMT6), phosphorylated AKT(p-AKT), and phosphorylated mammalian target of rapamycin(p-m TOR). Cell transfection was then performed to observe the rescue effect of PRMT6 on bufalin. Results: Bufalin displayed a significant time-dependent inhibition of the proliferation, migration, and invasion of ECA109 cells. An RNA sequencing(RNA-seq) analysis revealed that PRMT6 expression was downregulated in the cells treated with bufalin. PRMT6 promoted the proliferation, migration, and invasive potential of ECA109 cells. The overexpression of PRMT6 boosted p-AKT and p-m TOR levels in ECA109 cells and reversed bufalin inhibition. Conclusions: These findings indicate that bufalin exerts its inhibitory effects on ESCCs through the PRMT6/AKT/m TOR signaling pathway. These findings lay the groundwork for bufalin as a promising therapeutic candidate for the treatment of ESCC.

Current situation and influencing factors of palliative care practice ability among oncology nurses:A multicenter cross-sectional study

Objectives:The study aimed to survey the current situation and explore the factors that influence the ability of palliative care practice among oncology ***:A multicenter cross-sectional study was conducted using stratified random sampling to select 26 tertiary hospitals’oncology departments in Hubei Province,China.A total of 1,198 nurses were included and finished the questionnaire consisting of social demographic characteristics,Palliative Care Self-Report Practice Scale(PCPS),End-of-life Professional Caregiver Survey(EPCS),and Self-Perceived Pain Assessment Knowledge and Confidence Scale(Self-PAC)through the online *** were analyzed using t-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson correlation analysis,and multiple linear regression analysis in SPSS ***:The total score for PCPS was 67.17±12.57,the three dimensions’scores were:physical symptom care(32.50±6.10),spiritual and psychological care(23.35±4.97),communication(11.58±2.48).There are significant positive correlations between the palliative care practice ability and core competence(r=0.77,Psion analysis identified female,with high education background(bachelor’s degree and master’s degree or above),interest in palliative care,pain assessment ability,and core competence were positive predictors of palliative care practice ability(Adjusted R^(2)=0.668,Psions:The overall ability of the oncology nurses to practice palliative care was relatively high,but the palliative nurses reported suboptimal performance in the communication dimension of palliative nursing practice *** comprehensively improve oncology nurses’palliative care practice ability,managers must consider the gender structure,educational background,enthusiasm for palliative care work,core competence,and pain assessment ability.
