Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of expanded scalp flaps pedicled with superficial temporal vessel in the repair of facial skin *** From May 2017 to October 2018,4 patients with facial skin scars were treated with expanded scalp flaps pedicled with superficial temporal vessels and laser hair *** patients were followed up for at least 6 to 12 *** The flaps of all 4 patients survived well,and the color,texture and thickness of the flaps matched well with the surrounding skin *** Expanded scalp flaps pedicled with superficial temporal vessel is a good option for repairing facial skin scars,which is worthy of clinical application.

The microscopic global nucleon–nucleus optical model potential(OMP)proposed by Whitehead,Lim,and Holt,the WLH potential(Whitehead et al.,Phys Rev Lett 127:182502,2021),which was constructed in the framework of many-body per-turbation theory with state-of-the-art nuclear interactions from chiral effective field theory(EFT),was tested with(p,d)transfer reactions calculated using adiabatic wave *** target nuclei included both stable and unstable nuclei,and the incident energies reached 200 *** results were compared with experimental data and predictions using the phenomenological global optical potential of Koning and Delaroche,the KD02 ***,we found that the micro-scopic WLH potential described the(p,d)reaction angular distributions similarly to the phenomenological KD02 potential;however,the former was slightly better than the latter for radioactive *** average,the obtained spectroscopic factors(SFs)using both microscopic and phenomenological potentials were similar when the incident energies were below approxi-mately 120 ***,their difference tended to increase at higher incident energies,which was particularly apparent for the doubly magic target nucleus 40Ca.

Locally resonant metamaterials have low-frequency band gaps and the capability of converging vibratory energy in the band gaps at resonant *** has been demonstrated by several researchers that the dissipatioin of vibratory energy within the band gap can be improved by using viscoelastic *** paper designs an integrated viscoelastic metamaterial for energy harvesting and vibration *** viscoelastic metamaterial is achieved by a viscoelastic beam periodically arrayed with spatial ball-pendulum nonlinear energy *** nonlinear resonator with an energy harvesting function is achieved by placing a free-rolling magnetic ball in a spherical cavity with an additional induction *** dynamic equations of viscoelastic metamaterials under transverse excitation are established,and the energy harvesting and vibration isolation characteristics within the dispersion relation of viscoelastic metamaterials are *** results show that the vibrations of the main body of the viscoelastic metamaterial beam are significantly suppressed in the frequency range of the local resonance band *** the same time,the elastic waves are limited in the nonlinear resonator with an energy harvesting function,which improves the energy ***,an experimental platform of viscoelastic metamaterial vibration is established for validation purposes.

Severe immunosuppression is a hallmark of colorectal cancer(CRC).Myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs),one of the most abundant components of the tumor stroma,play an important role in the invasion,metastasis,and immune escape of *** create an immunosuppressive microenvironment by inhibiting the proliferation and activation of immunoreactive cells,including T and natural killer cells,as well as by inducing the proliferation of immunosuppressive cells,such as regulatory T cells and tumor-associated macrophages,which,in turn,promote the growth of cancer ***,MDSCs are key contributors to the emergence of an immunosup-pressive microenvironment in CRC and play an important role in the breakdown of antitumor *** this narrative review,we explore the mechanisms through which MDSCs contribute to the immunosuppressive microenvironment,the current therapeutic approaches and technologies targeting MDSCs,and the therapeutic potential of modulating MDSCs in CRC *** study provides ideas and methods to enhance survival rates in patients with CRC.

Resolving aging dynamics of a 3D colloidal glass

Physical aging is an inherent property of glassy matter, but understanding its microscopic mechanism remains a challenge particularly at the particle level. In this work, we use a confocal microscope to in-situ trace the particle trajectories in a 3D colloidal glass for 73000 s, aiming at resolving the aging dynamics. By calculating the mean square displacement of particle motions, we find that the glass aging with time can be divided into three stages: β relaxation, α relaxation and free diffusion. The system's mean square displacement at each aging state is quantitatively resolved into three contributions of particle dynamics modes: vibration within the nearest-neighbor cages, hopping between cages and cooperative rearrangement. We further calculate the particle's free volume and find that the β-to-α transition is accompanied by the temporary increase of the system-averaged free volume due to pronounced hops of particles. Nevertheless, the temporal autocorrelation of the free volume spatial distribution still obeys a monotonically stretched exponential decay with an exponent of 0.76, which is related to the sub-diffusion dynamics of cooperative rearrangements and hops mixed in α relaxation. According to the resolved vibrational displacements,we calculate the vibrational density of states of this 3D glass, and the characteristic boson peak is reproduced at low *** findings shed insight into the particle-level aging dynamics of a real glass under purely thermal activation.

A circular shaft is often used to access a working well for deep underground space *** the depth of underground space increases,the excavation depth of the shaft *** this study,the deformation characteristics of a circular shaft with a depth of 56.3 m were presented and *** main monitoring contents included:(1)wall deflection;(2)vertical wall movement;(3)horizontal soil movement;(4)vertical surface movement;and(5)basal ***,the maximum wall deflection was only 7.7 *** with the wall deflection data collected for another 29 circular excavations,the ratio of maximum wall deflection to excavation depth of this shaft was smaller due to a smaller ratio of diameter to excavation *** wall deflection underwent two stages of deformation:the first stage was mainly circumferential compression caused by the mutual extrusion of joints between walls,and the second stage was typical vertical deflection *** horizontal soil movement outside the shaft was greater than the wall deflection and the deep soil caused great horizontal movement because of dewatering at confined water ***,a basal heave of 203.8 mm occurred in the pit centre near the ***,the shaft was uplifted over time and showed 3 stages of vertical *** surface outside the shaft exhibited settlement and uplift deformation at different locations due to different *** basal heave caused by excavation was the dominant factor,driving the vertical movement of the shaft as well as the surrounding *** correlation between the wall deflection and the surface settlement outside the shaft was weak.

Heavy neutral gauge boson Z' is proposed in many new physics *** has rich phenomena at the future muon *** study the properties of Z' boson with the process of μ^(+)μ^(-)→qq,μ^(+)μ^(-)→l^(+)l^(-),μ^(+)μ^(-)→ ZH and μ^(+)μ^(-)→ W^(+)W^(-).The discrepancy of Z' coupling to different types of particles can be shown in the cross section distributions around the resonance peak of various decay *** distributions of the final quark or lepton in μ^(+)μ^(-)→qq/l^(+)l^(-)process are sensitive to the parameters such as mass of Z' and the Z-Z' mixing *** interaction of new gauge boson coupling to the standard model gauge particles and Higgs boson are also studied through μ^(+)μ^(-)→ ZH→l^(+)l^(-)bb and μ^(+)u^(-)→ W^(+)W^(-)→l^(+)l^(-)v_(l)v_(l).The cross section and the final particles' angular distributions with the contribution of Z' boson differ from those processes with only standard model particles.A forward-backward asymmetry defined by the angular distribution is provided to show the potential of searching for new physics at the muon ***,the beam polarization with certain value can effectively enlarge the forward-backward asymmetry.

An anion exchange membrane(AEM)is generally expected to possess high ion exchange capacity(IEC),low water uptake(WU),and high mechanical strength when applied to electrodialysis *** different types of AEMs,semi-interpenetrating polymer networks(siPNs)have been suggested for their structural superiorities,i.e.,the tunable local density of ion exchange groups for IEC and the restrained leaching of hygroscopic groups by insolubility for ***,the conventional siPN AEMs still struggle to balances IEC,WU,and mechanical strength simultaneously,due to the lack of the compact crosslinking *** this work,we proposed a novel siPN structure of polyvinylidene difluoride/polyvinylimidazole/1,6-dibromohexane(PVDF/PVIm/DBH).On the one hand,DBH with two cationic groups of imidazole groups are introduced to enhance the ion conductivity,which is different from the conventional monofunctional modifier with only one cationic *** the other hand,DBH has the ability to bridge with PVIm,where the mechanical strength of the resulting AEM is increased by the increase of crosslinking *** show that a low WU of 38.1%to 62.6%,high IEC of 2.12—2.22 mmol·g^(-1),and excellent tensile strength of 3.54—12.35 MPa for PVDF/PVIm/DBH membrane are *** work opens a new avenue for achieving the high-quality AEMs.
