Due to the rapid development of obesity and related metabolic diseases in the world， it is particularly important to explore the ability of novel materials in regulating obesity. In this study， C57BL/6J obese mice were used as objects， and 16S rRNA gene sequencing and lipidomics techniques were used to explore the regulatory effect and mechanism of the P. brevitarsis ethanol extract (50%， v/v) against obesity. Our results showed that P. brevitarsis extract could significantly reduce the body weight， triglyceride (TG)， total cholesterol (TC)， low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C)， and pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α， IFN-γ， and IL-6) levels of HFD-fed mice. Moreover， the P. brevitarsis extract changed the composition and relative abundance of its gut microbiota， especially increasing Akkermansia muciniphila. Meanwhile， the content of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) was increased， especially acetic acid and butyric acid， which leads to a decrease in the synthesis and accumulation of lipids in the liver. Furthermore， the P. brevitarsis extract also induced the difference in lipid synthesis in the liver by down-regulating the mRNA levels of SREPB-1C， FAS， and ACC. Therefore， this research provided preliminary work and reference for the development of P. brevitarsis as a functional food for anti-obesity.

An efficient high-order numerical method for supersonic reactive flows is proposed in this *** reactive source term and convection term are solved separately by splitting *** the reaction step,an adaptive time-step method is presented,which can improve the efficiency *** the convection step,a third-order accurate weighted essentially non-oscillatory（WENO）method is adopted to reconstruct the solution in the unstructured *** results show that our new method can capture the correct propagation speed of the detonation wave exactly even in coarse grids,while high order accuracy can be achieved in the smooth *** addition,the proposed adaptive splitting method can reduce the computational cost greatly compared with the traditional splitting method.

Based on the long wave limit method,the general form of the second-order and third-order rogue wave solutions to the focusing nonlinear Schr?dinger equation are given by introducing some arbitrary *** interaction solutions between the first-order rogue wave and one-breather wave are constructed by taking a long wave limit on the two-breather *** applying the same method to the three-breather solutions,two types of interaction solutions are obtained,namely the first-order rogue wave and two breather waves,the second-order rogue wave and one-breather wave,*** influence of the parameters related to the phase on the interaction phenomena is graphically *** occur among the rogue waves and breather *** the collisions,the shape of them remains *** abundant interaction phenomena in this paper will contribute to a better understanding of the propagation and control of nonlinear waves.

Background:Lower urinary tract symptoms commonly occur in the elderly population and seriously constrain the quality of *** fibrosis is an important pathobiological process in benign prostatic hyperplasia and is also a main inducing factor for benign prostatic hyperplasia-associated lower urinary tract *** species is an important herbal medicine resource and is traditionally used in ameliorating renal and prostatic ***:This study was to investigate the potential protective function of echinacoside(a bioactive compound from Cistanches)against prostatic fibrosis in mice and human benign prostatic hyperplasia epithelial-1 cell ***:It was found that echinacoside attenuated testosterone-induced prostatic hyperplasia and collagen deposition in mice,relieved prostate local inflammation and oxidative damage,and ameliorated prostatic epithelial-mesenchymal ***,echinacoside inhibited the activation of the MKK6/MK2 signaling pathway both in vivo and in ***:This study added new evidence for the anti-fibrotic function of echinacoside on the prostate and provided new insights for understanding its possible pharmacological mechanisms.

An anti-saturation fault-tolerant adaptive torsional vibration control method with fixed-time prescribed performance for the rolling mill main drive system(RMMDS)was investigated,which is affected by control input saturation,actuator faults,sensor measurement errors,and parameter ***,we gave a continuously differentiable saturation function to approximate the control input saturation characteristic of the RMMDS,translating the saturation characteristic into the matched uncertainty and unknown time-varying gain in the ***,an RMMDS mathematical model with unmatched uncertainty and unknown time-varying gain was developed,taking into account the presence of control input saturation,actuator faults,sensor measurement errors,and parameter *** on the established mathematical model,an error transformation model of the roll speed tracking was constructed by the equivalent error transformation *** to the error transformation model,a barrier Lyapunov function and a novel adaptive controller were studied to ensure that the roll speed tracking error always evolves inside a fixed-time asymmetric ***,numerical simulations were performed in Matlab/simulink to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control method in suppressing the RMMDS torsional vibration.

This paper presents the study of the dynamic characteristics of confined mixed pebble beds with different friction under different vibration conditions using the discrete element ***λsegre-gation index is used to quantify the degree of particle mixing or *** percolation,convection and diffusion mechanisms are responsible for the segregation patterns of the mixed *** results show the degree of segregation can be suppressed by decreasing the vibration acceleration or free space height below a *** simulation reveals the threshold of vibration acceleration or free space height both are related to the bed height increment which determines the strength of the percolation *** addition,the strength of percolation and convection becomes weaker by decreasing the friction of particles and walls,which makes the pebbled bed remains in a mixed state under *** findings are significant to clarify the main factors behind the three segregation mechanisms and hence provide solutions to retaining the mixed state of the Li2TiO3&Be12Ti mixed pebble bed.

The microscopic global nucleon–nucleus optical model potential(OMP)proposed by Whitehead,Lim,and Holt,the WLH potential(Whitehead et al.,Phys Rev Lett 127:182502,2021),which was constructed in the framework of many-body per-turbation theory with state-of-the-art nuclear interactions from chiral effective field theory(EFT),was tested with(p,d)transfer reactions calculated using adiabatic wave *** target nuclei included both stable and unstable nuclei,and the incident energies reached 200 *** results were compared with experimental data and predictions using the phenomenological global optical potential of Koning and Delaroche,the KD02 ***,we found that the micro-scopic WLH potential described the(p,d)reaction angular distributions similarly to the phenomenological KD02 potential;however,the former was slightly better than the latter for radioactive *** average,the obtained spectroscopic factors(SFs)using both microscopic and phenomenological potentials were similar when the incident energies were below approxi-mately 120 ***,their difference tended to increase at higher incident energies,which was particularly apparent for the doubly magic target nucleus 40Ca.

Effect of alumina occurrence form on metallurgical properties of hematite and magnetite pellets

The effect of alumina occurrence form on the metallurgical properties of both hematite and magnetite pellets was investigated at the same Al_(2)O level of 2 wt.%,including reduction index(RI),low-temperature reduction disintegration index(RDI),reduction swelling index(Rsi),and high-temperature softening-dripping *** mineralogy of fired pellets was also studied to reveal the influence of alumina occurrence form on the phase composition and *** the results,the alumina occurrence form presents tremendous impacts on the metallurgical perfor-mance of both magnetite and hematite *** of all alumina occurrence forms contributes to inferior reducibility of pellets,especially in the case of gibbsite for magnetite pellets with a RI of 58.4%and kaolinite for hematite pellets with a RI of 56.8%.However,addition of all alumina occurrence forms improves the RDI of magnetite pellets,while there is no significant difference among various alumina occurrence *** contrast,alumina occurrence forms have little influence on the RDI of hematite *** presence of free alumina,gibbsite,and kaolinite tends to improve the Rsi of hematite and magnetite pellets,whereas hercynite gives the opposite trend with a Rsi of 25.6%.For softening-dripping performance of magnetite pellets,all alumina occurrence forms contribute to narrower softening-melting ***,alumina,gibbsite,and kaolinite give narrower softening-dripping interval,at 229,217,and 88℃,respectively,whereas addition of hercynite results in the largest melting range at 276℃ due to its high melting *** hematite pellets,free alumina,gibbsite,and hercynite tend to enlarge melting range,whereas kaolinite contributes to lower dripping temperature of 1148℃ and narrow softening-dripping interval of 88℃ due to the formation of a greater amount of slag phase at high temperatures.
