Plasmonic tandem heterojunctions enable high-efficiency charge transfer for broad spectrum photocatalytic hydrogen production

Rational engineering of semiconductor photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen production is of great significance but still challenging,primarily due to the limitations in charge transfer ***,a fascinating plasmonic tandem heterojunction with the hc-CdS/Mo2C@C heterostructure is aimfully prepared for effectively promoting the charge separation kinetics of the CdS photocatalyst via the synergistic strategy of phase junction,Schottky junction,and photothermal *** difference in atomic configuration between cubic-CdS （c-CdS） and hexagonal-CdS （h-CdS） leads to effective charge separation through a typical Ⅱ charge transfer mechanism,and plasmonic Schottky junction further extracts the electrons in the hc-CdS phase junction to realize gradient charge ***,the photothermal effect of Mo2C@C helps to expand the light absorption,accelerate charge transfer kinetics,and reduce the hydrogen evolution energy *** carbon layer provides a fast channel for charge transfer and protects the photocatalyst from *** a result,the optimized hc-CMC photocatalyst exhibits a significantly high photocatalytic H2production activity of 28.63 mmol/g/h and apparent quantum efficiency of 61.8%,surpassing most of the reported *** study provides a feasible strategy to enhance the charge transfer kinetics and photocatalytic activity of CdS by constructing plasmonic tandem heterogeneous junctions.

Metal nanoparticles decorated CoFe-(oxy)hydroxysulfides nanosheets fabricated by a general strategy for electrocatalytic water splitting

This study presents a novel method to fabricate metal-decorated,sulfur-doped layered double hydroxides （M/SLDH） through spontaneous redox and sulfurization *** developed Ag/SLDH and Pt/SLDH catalysts with abundant heterogeneous interfaces and hierarchical nanostructures demonstrated outstanding oxygen evolution reaction （OER） and hydrogen evolution reaction （HER） performance,achieving low overpotentials of 212 and 35 mV at 10 mA cm-2in 1 M KOH,*** both anode and cathode in water splitting,they required only 1.47 V to reach 10 mA cm-2and exhibited high structural robustness,maintaining stability at 1000 mA cm-2for 300 ***-situ Raman analysis revealed that the synergistic effects of metal nanoparticles and S doping significantly promote the transformation into the S-Co1-xFexOOH layer,which serves as the active phase for water ***,ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy （UPS） and density functional theory （DFT） analyses indicated that incorporating metal nanoparticles and S doping increase electron density near the Fermi level and reduce reaction energy barriers,thus enhancing intrinsic OER and HER *** study provides a scalable strategy for synthesizing high-performance electrocatalysts for water splitting,with promising potential for broader applications.

Two-dimensional/two-dimensional(2D/2D)heterostructures consisting of two or more 2D building blocks possess intriguing electronic features at the nanosized interfacial regions,endowing the possibility for effectively modulating the confinement,and transport of charge carriers,excitons,photons,phonons,*** bring about a wide range of extraordinary physical,chemical,thermal,and/or mechanical *** rational design and synthesis of 2D/2D heterostructures,electrochemical properties for advanced batteries and electrocatalysis can be well regulated to meet some practical *** this review,a summary on the commonly employed synthetic strategies for 2D/2D heterostructures is first given,followed by a comprehensive review on recent progress for their applications in batteries and various electrocatalysis ***,a critical outlook on the current challenges and promising solutions is presented,which is expected to offer some insightful ideas on the design principles of advanced 2D-based nanomaterials to address the current challenges in sustainable energy storages and green fuel generations.

Due to the lack of accurate data and complex parameterization,the prediction of groundwater depth is a chal-lenge for numerical *** learning can effectively solve this issue and has been proven useful in the prediction of groundwater depth in many *** this study,two new models are applied to the prediction of groundwater depth in the Ningxia area,*** two models combine the improved dung beetle optimizer(DBO)algorithm with two deep learning models:The Multi-head Attention-Convolution Neural Network-Long Short Term Memory networks(MH-CNN-LSTM)and the Multi-head Attention-Convolution Neural Network-Gated Recurrent Unit(MH-CNN-GRU).The models with DBO show better prediction performance,with larger R(correlation coefficient),RPD(residual prediction deviation),and lower RMSE(root-mean-square error).Com-pared with the models with the original DBO,the R and RPD of models with the improved DBO increase by over 1.5%,and the RMSE decreases by over 1.8%,indicating better prediction *** addition,compared with the multiple linear regression model,a traditional statistical model,deep learning models have better prediction performance.

Fermi Blazars in the Zwicky Transient Facility Survey:Properties of Large Optical Variations

We analyze the optical light curve data,obtained with the Zwicky Transient Facility(ZTF)survey,for 47 γ-ray blazars monitored by the Large Area Telescope onboard the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope(Fermi).These 47sources are selected because they are among the Fermi blazars with the largest optical variations in the ZTF *** color-magnitude variation patterns are seen in them,with one being redder-to-stable-when-brighter(RSWB;in 31 sources)and the other being stable when brighter(in 16 sources).The patterns fit with the results recently reported in several similar studies with different ***,we find that the colors in the stable state of the sources share similar values,for which(after being corrected for the Galactic extinction)most sources are in a range of 0.4–*** feature could be intrinsic and may be applied in,for example,study of the intragalactic *** also determine the turning points for the sources showing the RSWB pattern,after which the color changes saturate and become *** find a correlation between optical fluxes and γ-ray fluxes at the turning *** physical implications of the correlation remain to be investigated,probably better with a sample of high-qualityγ-ray flux measurements.

Assessing the corrosion protection property of coatings loaded with corrosion inhibitors using the real-time atmospheric corrosion monitoring technique

The atmospheric corrosion monitoring(ACM)technique has been widely employed to track the real-time corrosion behavior of metal ***,limited studies have applied ACM to the corrosion protection properties of organic *** study compared a bare epoxy coating with one containing zinc phosphate corrosion inhibitors,both applied on ACM sensors,to observe their corrosion protection properties over *** with artificial damage via scratches were exposed to immersion and alternating dry and wet environments,which allowed for monitoring galvanic corrosion currents in *** the corrosion tests,the ACM currents of the zinc phosphate/epoxy coating were considerably lower than those of the blank epoxy *** trend in ACM current variations closely matched the results obtained from regular electrochemical tests and surface *** alignment highlights the potential of the ACM technique in evaluating the corrosion protection capabilities of organic *** with the blank epoxy coating,the zinc phosphate/epoxy coating showed much-decreased ACM current values that confirmed the effective inhibition of zinc phosphate against steel corrosion beneath the damaged coating.

A path factor of G is a spanning subgraph of G such that its each component is a path.A path factor is called a P≥n-factor if its each component admits at least n vertices.A graph G is called P≥n-factor covered if G admits a P≥n-factor containing e for any e∈E(G),which is defined by[Discrete Mathematics,309,2067-2076(2009)].We first define the concept of a(P≥n,k)-factor-critical covered graph,namely,a graph G is called(P≥n,k)-factor-critical covered if G-D is P≥n-factor covered for any D⊆V(G)with|D|=*** this paper,we verify that(i)a graph G withκ(G)≥k+1 is(P≥2,k)-factor-critical covered if bind(G)>2+k/3;(ii)a graph G with|V(G)|≥k+3 andκ(G)≥k+1 is(P≥3,k)-factor-critical covered if bind(G)≥4+k/3.

Biopharmaceutics classification evaluation for paris saponin Ⅶ

To study the biopharmaceutics characteristics of paris saponin Ⅶ(PSⅦ). The solubility of PSⅦ was evaluated by measurement of the equilibrium solubility in different solvents and media. The permeability of PSⅦ was evaluated by measuring the oil/water partition coefficient(lgP_(app)) and determining the apparent permeability coefficient(PC_(app)) on a mono-layer Caco-2 cell model. The effects of p-glycoprotein and multidrug resistance related protein 2 on PSⅦ transport in mono-layer Caco-2 cell model were further investigated. Finally, the small intestinal absorption of PSⅦ was investigated in rat. In solvents of different pH, the equilibrium solubility of PSⅦ was quite low, and the dose number of PSⅦ was larger than 1. The lgP_(app) of PSⅦ was less than 0. The apparent permeability coefficient [PC_(app)(AP-BL)] of PSⅦ in mono-layer Caco-2 cell model was less than 14.96 × 10^(-6) cm·s^(-1), and the efflux ratio of PSⅦ in mono-layer Caco-2 cell model was less than 1. The transport rate of PSⅦ in mono-layer Caco-2 cell model was not affected by the inhibitors of p-glycoprotein and multidrug resistance related protein 2. After oral administration, PSⅦ could be detected in rat intestinal contents, but could not be detected in the small intestinal mucosa. PSⅦ showed low solubility and permeability,which would result in low oral bioavailability in clinic. PSⅦ belonged to Class IV compound in biopharmaceutics classification system.

Two-dimensional metal oxide nanosheets for rechargeable batteries

Two-dimensional（2D） metal oxide nanosheets have attracted much attention as potential electrode materials for rechargeable batteries in recent years. This is primarily due to their natural abundance, environmental compatibility, and low cost as well as good electrochemical properties. Despite the fact that most metal oxides possess low conductivity, the introduction of some conductive heterogeneous components, such as nano-carbon, carbon nanotubes（CNTs）, and graphene, to form metal oxide-based hybrids,can effectively overcome this drawback. In this mini review, we will summarize the recent advances of three typical 2D metal oxide nanomaterials, namely, binary metal oxides, ternary metal oxides, and hybrid metal oxides, which are used for the electrochemical applications of next-generation rechargeable batteries, mainly for lithium-ion batteries（LIBs） and sodium-ion batteries（siBs）. Hence, this review intends to functionalize as a good reference for the further research on 2D nanomaterials and the further development of energy-storage devices.
