Cloud providers(e.g.,Google,Alibaba,Amazon)own large-scale datacenter networks that comprise thousands of switches and links.A loadbalancing mechanism is supposed to effectively utilize the bisection *** Equal-Cost Multi-Path(ECMP),the canonical solution in practice,and alternatives come with performance limitations or significant deployment *** this work,we propose Closer,a scalable load balancing mechanism for cloud *** complies with the evaluation of technology including the deployment of Clos-based topologies,overlays for network virtualization,and virtual machine(VM)*** decouple the system into centralized route calculation and distributed route decision to guarantee its flexibility and stability in large-scale *** In-band Network Telemetry(INT)to obtain precise link state information,a simple but efficient algorithm implements a weighted ECMP at the edge of fabric,which enables Closer to proactively map the flows to the appropriate path and avoid the excessive congestion of a single *** achieves 2 to 7 times better flow completion time(FCT)at 70%network load than existing schemes that work with same hardware environment.

The cyclic oxidation behavior of Hf/Y-doped B2 FeAl intermetallics at 1373 K was *** an undoped FeAl alloy,premature spallation of the alumina film occurs due to the formation of numerous voids at the film/alloy interface and apparent shrinkage in the *** contrast to this,doping with either Hf or Y significantly improves the interfacial adhesion between the alumina film and the alloy substrate,particularly with *** observation in combination with Anger electron spectroscopic analysis suggests that in addition to prohibiting interfacial void formation and alleviating film shrinkage,the addition of Hf in the FeAl alloy could consolidate the film/alloy interface by directly participating in chemical bonding across the interface as a Hf *** causes the spallation of alumina film from the equiaxed grains/columnar grains interface rather than the bottom of the film.

The size effect of the polydopamine(PDA)-coated BaTiO_(3)(BTO)(BTO@PDA)nanoparticles(NPs)on the interfacial compatibility between BTO NPs and the polymer matrix and the resultant piezoelectric performance of the composite films remain *** this study,BTO and BTO@PDA NPs of various sizes were incorporated into a P(VDF-TrFE)matrix to prepare two series of P(VDF-TrFE)/BTO and P(VDF-TrFE)/BTO@PDA ***,the effects of the NP size on the dielectric,ferroelectric,and piezoelectric properties of the composite films were comprehensively *** the size of the BTO@PDA NPs increased,residual hole defects were clearly observed in the cross section of the composite *** deteriorated interfacial compatibility due to the large size of the BTO@PDA NPs was also confirmed by the increased dielectric permittivity of the composite film,which was induced by the intensified interfacial *** P(VDF-TrFE)/BTO@PDA composite with NPs of the smallest size(100 nm)exhibited superior piezoelectric performance owing to the excellent interfacial compatibility between the fillers and the *** piezoelectric performance was significantly enhanced by the reduced leakage current during electrical poling and reduced trap ***,the pulse waveform originating from the radial artery was precisely measured using the optimised P(VDF-TrFE)/BTO@PDA composite film.

When the face of the inspected person and the photograph on their identification(ID)card cannot be clearly matched,the individual is undocumented,or the ID is forged,it is often difficult for the on‑site police to respond in *** study proposes a number of key technologies for collecting fingerprints at mobile terminals for fast comparison using an automated fingerprint ID system(AFIS).These technologies ensure intelligent mobile fingerprint collection and allow the transmission of fingerprint information from the terminal to AFIS,over a wireless public security network for real‑time fingerprint *** study also analyzes the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed technologies for system design and the applicability of fingerprint ID *** system achieved good results in a test by the Shanghai Public Security Bureau Criminal Investigation Corps.

Recently emerged cancer immunochemotherapy has provided enormous new possibilities to replace traditional chemotherapy in fighting ***,the treatment efficacy is hampered by tumor hypoxiainduced immunosuppression in tumor microenvironment(TME).Herein,we fabricated a self-oxygenation/degradable inorganic nanozyme with a core-shell structure to relieve tumor hypoxia in cancer *** integrating the biocompatible CaO2 as the oxygen-storing component,this strategy is more effective than the earlier designed nanocarriers for delivering oxygen or H2O2,and thus provides remarkable oxygenation and long-term capability in relieving hypoxia throughout the tumor ***,in vivo tests validate that the delivery system can successfully relieve hypoxia and reverse the immunosuppressive TME to favor antitumor immune responses,leading to enhanced chemoimmunotherapy with cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 ***,a facile,robust and effective strategy is proposed to improve tumor oxygenation by using self-decomposable and biocompatible inorganic nanozyme reactor,which will not only provide an innovative pathway to relieve intratumoral hypoxia,but also present potential applications in other oxygen-favored cancer therapies or oxygen deficiency-originated diseases.

Development of an LC–MS/MS method for the quantitation of deoxyglycychloxazol in rat plasma and its application in pharmacokinetic study

Deoxyglycychloxazol （TY501） is a glycyrrhetinic acid derivative which exhibits high anti-inflammatory activity and reduced pseudoaldosteronism compared to glycyrrhetinic acid. In this study, a sensitive and rapid liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry （LC-MS/MS） method was established for the quantitation of TY501 in rat plasma. Plasma samples were treated by precipitating protein with methanol and supernatants were separated by a Symmetry C8 column with the mobile phase consisting of methanol and 10 mM ammonium formate （containing 0.1% of formic acid）（90：10, v/v）. The selected reaction monitoring （SRM） transitions were performed at m/z 647.4→191.2 for TY501 and m/z 473.3→143.3 for astragaloside aglycone （IS） in the positive ion mode with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization （APCI） source. Calibration curve was linear over the concentration range of 5-5000 ng/mL. The lower limit of quantification was 5 ng/mL. The mean recovery was over 88%. The intra- and inter-day precisions were lower than 6.0% and 12.8%, respectively, and the accuracy was within ± 1.3%. TY501 was stable under usual storage conditions and handling procedure. The validated method has been successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study after oral administration of TY501 to rats at a dosage of 10 mg/kg.

Shaped Pt-Ni nanocrystals with an ultrathin Pt-enriched shell derived from one-pot hydrothermal synthesis as active electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction

Alloy nanocrystals （NCs） of Pt with 3d transition metals, especially Ni, are excellent catalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction （ORR）. In this work, we, for the first time, demonstrated the water phase colloidal synthesis of Pt-M （M = Ni, Co and Fe） alloy NCs with tunable composition and morphology through a facile hydrothermal method. Pt-Ni alloy NCs synthesized with this method presented better ORR activity than commercial Pt/C catalysts. The X-ray energy dispersive spectra （EDS） mapping technique revealed that Pt-enriched shells existed on the as-synthesized Pt-Ni alloy NCs. About two atom thick layered Pt-enriched shells formed on Pts0Nis0 NCs and the thickness of the Pt-enriched shells increased as the Ni content increased. Furthermore, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis revealed that the oxidation level of the surface Pt atoms on the Pt-Ni alloy NCs decreased compared with monometallic Pt NCs, implying a decrease in the oxophilicity of the surface Pt atoms. Pt-Ni alloy NCs with lower oxophilicity of the surface Pt atoms give higher ORR activity. The most active alloy sample showed 13 times higher specific activity and six times higher mass activity at 0.9 V vs. a reversible hydrogen electrode when compared with commercial Pt/C. Pt-Ni alloy NCs also showed better durability than commercial Pt/C in long term ORR tests.

An Event-Triggered Energy-Efficient Clustering in Collaborative Beamforming for Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper, we present a protocol, CEWEC （Collaborative, Event-Triggered, Weighted, Energy-Efficient Clustering） , based on collaborative beamfor^ning. It is designed for wireless sensor nodes to realize the long-distance transmission. In order to save the energy of sensor nodes, a node ＂wakes up ＂when it has data to be uploaded. In our protocol, multi-layer structure is adopted： trigger-node layers, clusterhead-node layers, child- node layers. The number of child nodes and clusterheads depends on the distance of transmission. Clusterheads are selected according to the node 5 s weight which is based on its residual energy and distance to the trigger node. The main characteristic of this protocol is that clusterheads can directly communication with each other without the large-scale base station and antennas. Thus, the data from the trigger node would be able to be shared within the multi-layer structure. Considering the clustering process, energy model, and success rate, the simulation results show that the CEWEC protocol can effectively manage a large number of sensor nodes to share and transmit data.
