A novel Ce-containing poly(tungstobismuthate)Cs18Na8H_(2)0[Ce3(H_(2)O)10W8Bi4O_(2)8(B-α-Bi W9O_(3)3)4]2·64H_(2)O(1)has been synthesized by a facile one-pot self-assembly reaction *** structural characterization is realized by virtue of single-crystal X-ray diffraction,infrared spectroscopy,powder X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric *** polyoxoanion of 1 is an octameric architecture consisting of two tetrameric entities[Ce3(H_(2)O)10W8Bi4O_(2)8(B-α-Bi W9O_(3)3)4]23-linked by two Ce–O–W bonds,and adjacent polyoxoanions are further combined together by means of Ce3+linkers,resulting in an infinite 1D chain *** 1 is the currently largest tungstobismuthate,and also represents the first example of lanthanide-encapsulated tungstobismuthate exhibiting an extended ***,compound 1 as a heterogeneous catalyst,exhibits high activity for the oxidative decontamination of a sulfur mustard simulant,2-chloroethyl ethyl sulfide(CEES)into 2-chloroethyl ethyl sulfoxide(CEESO).

The plastic deformation properties of cylindrical pre-void aluminum-magnesium(Al-Mg)alloy under uniaxial tension are explored using molecular dynamics simulations with embedded atom method(EAM)*** factors of Mg content,void size,and temperature are *** results show that the void fraction decreases with increasing Mg in the plastic deformation,and it is almost independent of Mg content when Mg is beyond 5%.Both Mg contents and stacking faults around the void affect the void *** phenomena are explained by the dislocation density of the sample and stacking faults distribution around the *** variation trends of yield stress caused by void size are in good agreement with the Lubarda ***,temperature effects are explored,the yield stress and Young’s modulus obviously decrease with *** results may enrich and facilitate the understanding of the plastic mechanism of Al-Mg with defects or other alloys.

Fibers have been of great significance in our daily lives,especially in the industrial production of *** in this area has been focused on developing microfibers with superior functions to enhance the filtration performances of the ***,inspired by the frog’s predation mechanism using its tongues to swiftly grab flying insects,we propose novel porous wettable microfibers from microfluidics to efficiently capture particles in the air for *** pre-dispersing LP emulsions into polyurethane(PU),porous microfibers dispersed with oil droplets could be continuously spun from a co-flow microfluidic device based on the quick phase inversion of *** design an optimal system with frog-tongue-like interfacial adhesion properties,the wettability performances of the porous microfibers are investigated under full,partial,and no oil coverage *** implemented in a mask,the 3D patterned networks based on the frog-tongue-inspired microfibers have been proven with remarkable particle capture performances while maintaining good air *** on these features,we believe that frog-tongue-inspired microfibers and their derived masks are of practical significance in multiple applications.

Biomineralization has garnered significant attention in the field of wastewater treatment due to its notable cost reduction compared to conventional *** reinjection water from oilfields containing an exceedingly high concentration of calcium and ferric ions will pose amajor hazard in ***,the utilization of biomineralization for precipitating these ions has been scarcely investigated due to limited tolerance among halophiles towards such extreme *** this study,free and immobilized halophiles Virgibacillus dokdonensis were used to precipitate these ions and the effects were compared,at the same time,biomineralizationmechanisms and mineral characteristicswere further *** results showthat bacterial concentration and carbonic anhydrase activitywere higher when additionally adding ferric ion based on calcium ion;the content of protein,polysaccharides,deoxyribonucleic acid and humic substances in the extracellular polymers also increased compared to *** ions were biomineralized into calcite and vaterite with mul-tiple *** to iron doping,the crystallinity and thermal stability of calcium carbonate decreased,the content of O-C=O,N-C=OandC-O-PO_(3) increased,the stable carbon isotope values became much more negative,andβ-sheet in minerals *** calcium concentrations facilitated ferric ion precipitation,while ferric ions hindered calcium *** immobilized bacteria performed better in ferric ion removal,with a precipitation ratio exceeding 90%.Free bacteria performed better in calcium removal,and the precipitation ratio reached a maximum of 56%.This research maybe provides some reference for the co-removal of calcium and ferric ions from the oilfield wastewater.

To enhance the high-temperature oxidation resistance and mechanical properties of a secondgeneration nickel-based superalloy,various concentrations of lanthanum(La)ranging from 5.0×10^(-5)wt.%to 3.4×10^(-4)wt.%are added to the *** microstructure of the nickel-based single crystal superalloy with trace of La was examined by means of SEM,EDS and *** show the addition of La decreases the segregation of elements and increases the amount ofγ/γ′eutectics of the as-cast alloy,and in the interdendritic region,the growth of eutectics is accompanied by the growth of strip clusters composed of Ni_(5)La and Ni_(3)*** the La content in the alloy increases,the proportion of Ni_(5)La in the cluster *** heat treatment,incipient melting occurs in the cluster regions,leading to an increase in microporosity compared to the original as-cast ***,the heat treatment alters the shape of the clusters from a strip morphology to an elliptical one,and it changes their composition from Ni_(5)La and Ni_(3)Ta to a combination of Ni_(5)La,Ni_(3)Ta,and MC carbides.

During data center operation,it generates a significant volume of low-grade waste *** recover waste heat,a coupled system including solar collector,double effect absorption refrigeration and organic Rankine cycle is *** system performance is analyzed in *** the organic Rankine cycle,five organic working fluids(R245fa,R245ca,R123,R11,and R113)are selected.R245fa,R113 and R245ca obtain the maximum net power output,thermal efficiency and exergy efficiency,*** the double effect absorption refrigeration system,the evaporation temperature,condensation temperature,and generation pressure affect the COP and exergy *** the generator pressure is unchanged,the COP increases with increasing evaporation temperature and decreasing condensation *** the COP reaches 1.3,the COP slightly decreases as the evaporation temperature or condensation temperature ***,the exergy efficiency of refrigeration systems exhibits the same trend as the COP,and the exergy efficiency maximum value appears at approximately 0.32.A new performance indicator,rPUE,was defined to evaluate the data center power utilization *** flow distribution ratio and heat source temperature were optimized with multi-objective *** the mass flow distribution rate is 0.6 and the heat source temperature is 441.5 K,rPUE and the total unit production costs of the system obtain the optimal solution.

Detonation performance is crucial for evaluating the power of high explosives(HEs),and the equation of state(EOS)that accurately describes the high-temperature,high-pressure,and high-temperature,medium-pressure states of detonation products is key to assessing the damage efficiency of these energetic *** article examines the limitations of the VLW EOS in representing the thermodynamic states of explosive detonation gas products under high-temperature and medium-to high-pressure conditions.A new gas EOS for detonation products,called VHL(Virial-han-Long),is *** accuracy of VHL in describing gas states under high-temperature and medium-to high-pressure conditions is verified,and its performance in evaluating explosive detonation and working capabilities is *** results demonstrate that VHL exhibits high precision in calculating detonation ***,the detonation performance of three new HEs(ICM-101,ONC,and TNAZ)was calculated and compared to traditional HEs(TATB,CL-20,and HMX).The results indicate that ONC has superior detonation performance compared to the other explosives,while ICM-101 shows a detonation velocity similar to CL-20 but with slightly lower detonation *** detonation characteristics of TNAZ are comparable to those of the standard HE *** the perspective of products,considering the comprehensive work performance(mechanical work and detonation heat),both ONC and ICM-101demonstrate relatively superior performance.

The toxicity of PM_(2.5)does not necessarily change synchronously with its mass *** this study,the chemical composition(carbonaceous species,water-soluble ions,and metals)and oxidative potential(dithiothreitol assay,DTT)of PM_(2.5)were investigated in 2017/2018 and 2022 in Xiamen,*** decrease rate of volume-normalized DTT(DTTv)(38%)was lower than that of PM_(2.5)(55%)between the two sampling ***,the mass-normalized DTT(DTTm)increased by 44%.Clear seasonal patterns with higher levels in winter were found for PM_(2.5),most chemical constituents and DTTv but not for *** large decrease in DTT activity(84%−92%)after the addition of EDTA suggested that watersoluble metals were the main contributors to DTT in *** increased gap between the reconstructed and measured DTTv and the stronger correlations between the reconstructed/measured DTT ratio and carbonaceous species in 2022were *** decrease rates of the hazard index(32.5%)and lifetime cancer risk(9.1%)differed from those of PM_(2.5)and DTTv due to their different main *** PMF-MLR model showed that the contributions(nmol/(min·m^(3)))of vehicle emission,coal+biomass burning,ship emission and secondary aerosol to DTTv in 2022 decreased by 63.0%,65.2%,66.5%,and 22.2%,respectively,compared to those in 2017/2018,which was consistent with the emission reduction of vehicle exhaust and coal consumption,the adoption of low-sulfur fuel oil used on board ships and the reduced production of ***,the contributions of dust+sea salt and industrial emission increased.

AIM:To investigate the influence of postoperative intraocular lens(IOL)positions on the accuracy of cataract surgery and examine the predictive factors of postoperative biometry prediction errors using the Barrett Universal II(BUII)IOL formula for ***:The prospective study included patients who had undergone cataract surgery performed by a single surgeon from June 2020 to April *** collected data included the best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),corneal curvature,preoperative and postoperative central anterior chamber depths(ACD),axial length(AXL),IOL power,and refractive *** formula was used to calculate the IOL *** mean absolute error(MAE)was calculated,and all the participants were divided into two groups *** t-tests were applied to compare the variables between *** regression analysis was used to analyze the influence of age,AXL,corneal curvature,and preoperative and postoperative ACD on ***:A total of 261 patients were *** 243(93.1%)and 18(6.9%)had postoperative MAE1 D,*** number of females was higher in patients with MAE>1 D(χ^(2)=3.833,P=0.039).The postoperative BCVA(logMAR)of patients with MAE>1 D was significantly worse(t=-2.448;P=0.025).After adjusting for gender in the logistic model,the risk of postoperative refractive errors was higher in patients with a shallow postoperative anterior chamber[odds ratio=0.346;95% confidence interval(CI):0.164,0.730,P=0.005].CONCLUsiON:Risk factors for biometry prediction error after cataract surgery include the patient’s sex and postoperative *** with a shallow postoperative anterior chamber are prone to have refractive errors.

Hematophagous female mosquitoes are important vectors of numerous devastating human diseases, posing a major public health threat. Effective prevention and control of mosquito-borne diseases rely considerably on progress in understanding the molecular mechanisms of various life activities, and accordingly, the molecules that regulate the various life activities of mosquitoes are potential targets for implementing future vector control strategies. Many long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been identified in mosquitoes and significant progress has been made in determining their functions. Here, we present a comprehensive overview of the research advances on mosquito lncRNAs, including their molecular identification, function, and interaction with other non-coding RNAs, as well as their synergistic regulatory roles in mosquito life activities. We also highlight the potential roles of competitive endogenous RNAs in mosquito growth and development, as well as in insecticide resistance and virus-host interactions. Insights into the biological functions and mechanisms of lncRNAs in mosquito life activities, viral replication, pathogenesis, and transmission will contribute to the development of novel drugs and safe vaccines. Thousands of long non-coding RNA (lncRNAs) have been identified from different species of mosquitoes based on high-throughput transcriptome sequencing. Here we present a comprehensive overview of the research advances on mosquito lncRNAs, including their molecular identification, function, and interaction with other non-coding RNAs, as well as the potential mechanisms by which they regulate various mosquito life activities. image
