This paper presents a new feature descriptor, namely local extreme complete trio pattern （LECTP） for image retrieval application. The LECTP extracts complete extreme to minimal edge information in all possible directions using trio values. The LECTP integrates the local extreme sign trio patterns （LESTP） with magnitude local operator （MLOP） for image retrieval. The performance of the LECTP is tested by conducting three experiments on Corel-5 000, Corel-10 000 and MIT-VisTex color databases, respectively. The results after investigation show a significant improvement in terms of average retrieval precision （ARP） and average retrieval rate （ARR） as compared to the other state-of-the art techniques in content based image retrieval （CBIR）.

BACKGROUND Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)is an essential therapeutic tool for biliary and pancreatic *** and elderly patients,especially those aged≥90 years are generally considered a higher-risk population for ERCP-related *** To investigate outcomes of ERCP in the Non-agenarian population(≥90 years)concerning *** This is a cohort study using the 2018-2020 National Readmission *** aged≥90 were identified who underwent ERCP,using the international classification of diseases-10 code with clinical *** Hopkins’s adjusted clinical groups frailty indicator was used to classify patients as frail and *** primary outcome was mortality,and the secondary outcomes were morbidity and the 30 d readmission rate related to *** used univariate and multivariate regression models for *** A total of 9448 patients were admitted for any indications of *** and non-frail patients were 3445(36.46%)and 6003(63.53%)*** for ERCP were Choledocholithiasis(74.84%),Biliary pancreatitis(9.19%),Pancreatico-biliary cancer(7.6%),Biliary stricture(4.84%),and Cholangitis(1.51%).Mortality rates were higher in frail group[adjusted odds ratio(aOR)=1.68,P=0.02].The Intra-procedural complications were insigni-ficant between the two groups which included bleeding(aOR=0.72,P=0.67),accidental punctures/lacerations(aOR=0.77,P=0.5),and mechanical ventilation rates(aOR=1.19,P=0.6).Post-ERCP complication rate was similar for bleeding(aOR=0.72,P=0.41)and post-ERCP pancreatitis(aOR=1.4,P=0.44).Frail patients had a longer length of stay(6.7 d vs 5.5 d)and higher mean total charges of hospitalization($78807 vs$71392)compared to controls(P<0.001).The 30 d all-cause readmission rates between frail and non-frail patients were similar(P=0.96).CONCLUSION There was a significantly higher mortality risk and healthcare burden amongst nonagenarian frail patients undergoing ERCP compared

Unravelling the bottleneck of phosphonic acid anchoring groups aiming toward enhancing the stability and efficiency of mesoscopic solar cells

Novel near-infrared sensitizers with different anchoring groups aiming toward improved stability and efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells were synthesized. Adsorption of these dyes on the mesoporous TiO_(2) surface revealed the dye adsorption rate of –CH=CH–COOH (SQ-139)>–CH=C(CN)COOH (SQ-140)>–PO_(3)H_(2) (SQ-143)>–CH=C(CN)PO_(3)H_(2) (SQ-148)>–CH=C(CN)PO_(3)H–C_(2)H_(5) (SQ-157)>–PO_(3)H–C_(2)H_(5) (SQ-151)> –CH=CH–COOH(–PO_(3)H_(2)) (SQ-162). The binding strength of these dyes on mesoporous TiO_(2) as investigated by dye desorption studies follows SQ-162>SQ-143>SQ-148>SQ-139≫SQ-157~SQ-151≫SQ-140 order. The acrylic acid anchoring group was demonstrated to be an optimum functional group owing to its fast dye adsorption rate and better binding strength on TiO_(2) along with good photoconversion efficiency. Results of dye binding on TiO_(2) surface demonstrated that SQ-162 bearing double anchoring groups of phosphonic and acrylic acid exhibited>550 times stronger binding as compared to dye SQ-140 having cyanoacrylic acid anchoring group. SQ-140 exhibited the best photovoltaic performance with photon harvesting mainly in the far-red to near-infrared wavelength region having short circuit current density, open-circuit voltage and fill factor of 14.28 mA·cm^(–2), 0.64 V and 0.65, respectively, giving the power conversion efficiency of 5.95%. Thus, dye SQ-162 not only solved the problem of very poor efficiency of dye bearing only phosphonic acid while maintaining the extremely high binding strength opening the path for the design and development of novel near-infrared dyes with improved efficiency and stability by further increasing the π-conjugation.

Steel containing carbon of 0.2% was coated with Ni and Cr through electrodeposition,and subsequently annealed at 400 and 600 ℃ for 5 min,30 min,1 h and 2 *** annealing at 400 ℃,the formation and growth of oxides occurred in the form of petals along with voids,cracks and ***,at 600 ℃,the nucleation and growth of chromium oxide whiskers produced a surface almost free from crack,porosity and void for 1 h and 2 h of *** accordance with the surface morphology,the bare steel,as-deposited steel,all specimens deposited and annealed at 400 ℃,and specimens deposited and annealed at 600 ℃ for 5 and 30 min exhibited continuous corrosion in 3% of NaCl ***,the specimens deposited and annealed at 600 ℃ for 1 and 2 h exhibited an improved corrosion resistance in 3% of NaCl solution with high pitting potential due to presence of a dense passive oxide film almost free from voids at the surface.

Computation of Error in Estimation of Nonlinearity in ADC Using Histogram Technique

Computation of error in estimation of nonlinearity in ADC using histogram test are reported in this paper. Error determination in estimation of Differential Nonlinearity (DNL) and Integral Nonlinearity (INL) of an ADC is done by taking deviation of estimated value from actual value. Error in estimated INL and DNL is determined to check the usefulness of basic histogram test algorithm. Arbitrary error is introduced in ideal simulated ADC transfer characteristics and full scale simulated sine wave is applied to ADC for computation of error in estimation of transition levels and nonlinearity. Simulation results for 5 and 8 bit ADC are pre-sented which show effectiveness of the proposed method.

Rapid and automated identification of blight disease in potato will help farmers to apply timely remedies to protect their *** detection of blight disease can be cumbersome and may require trained *** overcome these issues,we present an automated system using the Mask Region-based convolutional neural network(Mask R-CNN)architecture,with residual network as the backbone network for detecting blight disease patches on potato leaves in field *** approach uses transfer learning,which can generate good results even with small *** model was trained on a dataset of 1423 images of potato leaves obtained from fields in different geographical locations and at different times of the *** images were manually annotated to create over 6200 labeled patches covering diseased and healthy portions of the *** Mask R-CNN model was able to correctly differentiate between the diseased patch on the potato leaf and the similar-looking background soil patches,which can confound the outcome of binary *** improve the detection performance,the original RGB dataset was then converted to HSL,HSV,LAB,XYZ,and YCrCb color spaces.A separate model was created for each color space and tested on 417 field-based test *** yielded 81.4%mean average precision on the LAB model and 56.9%mean average recall on the HSL model,slightly outperforming the original RGB color space *** analysis of the detection performance indicates an overall precision of 98%on leaf images in a field environment containing complex backgrounds.

Light plays an important role in plants' growth and development throughout their life cycle. Plants alter their morphological features in response to light cues of varying intensity and quality. Dedicated photoreceptors help plants to perceive light signals of different wave-lengths. Activated photoreceptors stimulate the down-stream signaling cascades that lead to extensive gene expression changes responsible for physiological and developmental responses. Proteins such as ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5 (HY5) and CONSTITUTIVELY PHOTO-MORPHOGENIC 1 (COP1) act as important factors which modulate light-regulated gene expression, especially during seedling development. These factors function as central regulatory intermediates not only in red, far-red, and blue light pathways but also in the UV-B signaling pathway. UV-B radiation makes up only a minor fraction of sunlight, yet it imparts many positive and negative effects on plant growth. Studies on UV-B perception, signaling, and response in plants has considerably surged in recent times. Plants have developed different strat-egies to use UV-B as a developmental cue as well as to withstand high doses of UV-B radiation. Plants' re-sponses to UV-B are an integration of its cross-talks with both environmental factors and phytohormones. This review outlines the current developments in light sig-naling with a major focus on UV-B-mediated plant growth regulation.

Acute onset clozapine-induced hyperglycaemia: A case report

Clozapine is an atypical antipsychotic which is described to have higher efficacy among all available antipsychotic medications. Clozapine is reserved especially for resistant schizophrenia due to its side effects. Clozapine-induced metabolic syndrome and hyperglycaemia are common longterm side effects and are responsible for increased mortality in patients with schizophrenia. In this case, a patient with resistant schizophrenia was presented with acute-onset hyperglycaemia and delirium with the use of clozapine within a week. Withdrawal of clozapine in the patient led to the improvement in delirium and hyperglycaemia without the use of any hypoglycaemic agent. This case s叩ports the notion that in certain cases clozapine can induce hyperglycemia through possible direct pathophysiological mechanisms within a shorter time frame.

Cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarct and leukoencephalopathy(CADASIL) is the most common monogenic form of cerebral small-vessel disease characterised by recurrent strokes. Behavioural disturbance also presents in a significant proportion of subjects as neurotic spectrum disorders and psychotic features are rarely reported. In this case report, we highlight a 32-year-old man with CADASIL syndrome, who had overt psychotic symptoms with neurological signs later on.
