L-Ergothioneine ameliorates MPTP-induced Parkinson's disease in C57BL/6J mice by activating DJ-1

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases. The loss of dopaminergic (DAergic) neurons in the substantia nigra and the decrease of dopamine (DA) levels accelerate the process of PD. L-Ergothioneine (EGT) is a natural antioxidant derived from microorganisms， especially in edible mushrooms. EGT can penetrate blood-brain barrier and its levels are significantly decreased in the plasma of PD patients. Therefore， we speculated that EGT could ameliorate PD， and determined its effect on PD development by using 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1，2，3，6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-induced PD mouse models and neurotoxin 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium (MPP+)-induced cell models. Our results show that EGT alleviated MPTP-induced behavioral dysfunction in mice. Mechanistically， we innovatively revealed that EGT is a key regulator of DJ-1. EGT restored DA levels by activating the DJ-1-Nuclear receptor-related factor 1(Nurr1) axis. Furthermore， it reduced reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels by regulating the DJ-1-Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) pathway， which inhibited oxidative stress-induced DAergic neuronal apoptosis. Combined treatment with DJ-1-siRNA transfection revealed that blocking DJ-1 reversed EGT upregulated Nurr1 and Nrf2 expression in the nucleus， which significantly decreased the benefits of EGT. Taken together， our study suggests that EGT can ameliorate PD and be considered as a strategy for PD treatment.

随着电动汽车应用的快速发展,负责行驶安全的电池管理系统(BMS)的重要性日益凸显。高精度的电池荷电状态(SOC)估计方法是BMS有效运行的基础。对近年来有关电池模型、模型参数辨识和SOC估计方法三个领域的研究进行了较为系统的综述,总结了主要电池模型的特点及发展趋势,介绍了模型参数辨识的一般过程以及常见的辨识方法,对四类常见SOC估计方法做了介绍,分析了它们的特点和局限性,并探讨了SOC估算功能在BMS行业中的应用研究。针对当前研究中存在的不足,提出了未来的研究方向。

长期以来,安全问题一直是制约锂电池发展应用的瓶颈。用固态电解质代替液体电解液是突破此瓶颈的最有效方法之一。固态电解质Li_(7)La_(3)Zr_(2)O_(12)离子电导率高、电子电导率低、电化学稳定窗口宽,而且与Li负极接触电化学稳定性好,应用潜力大,故Li7La3Zr2O12的烧结制备方法一直是电池领域的研究热点。阐述了Li_(7)La_(3)Zr_(2)O_(12)的烧结方法,包括固相烧结法、微波烧结法、助烧剂辅助烧结法、场助烧结法、高温快速烧结法,总结了它们各自的特点。为优化现有烧结方法工艺以及寻求更好烧结方法提供参考,对烧结方法的发展方向进行了展望。

为了提高模具表面的磨损性能,采用稀土催化共晶渗硼工艺对45钢模具表面进行了处理,研究了不同稀土加入量对共晶渗硼层组织、渗硼层厚度、硬度梯度及其磨损性能的影响规律,分析了稀土活化催渗机理和材料磨损机制。结果表明:共晶渗硼层组织为硼化物与γ铁的混合物;稀土加入量为9%时共晶渗硼效果最佳,渗硼层厚度比传统固体渗硼层增加近1倍,渗硼层硬度显著提高且硬度梯度减小;稀土元素具有活化催渗硼原子、促进硬质相形成以及细化晶粒、强化晶界的作用;经稀土催化渗硼的试验材料两体磨损性能比传统固体渗硼材料提高约18%,且耐磨行程提高近12倍;试验材料磨损失效主要以显微切削为主;渗硼层厚度增大、硬度提高、硬度梯度减小是稀土催化共晶渗硼材料磨损性能得以提高的主要原因。

以表面改性的铸造碳化钨颗粒(CTCP)为增强体,以NiCrBSi合金为粘结相,以耐热钢为基板采用真空熔烧工艺制备了一种CTCP/NiCrBSi局域化增强耐热钢基复合材料。观察分析了复合材料的界面特征及其形成机理,研究了复合材料在25~800℃下的磨损性能,并讨论了复合材料的磨损机理。结果表明,复合材料增强区域组织致密、CTCP分布均匀,增强区域与耐热钢基板之间的界面由CTCP分解区,γ-Ni等温凝固区和富含(Fe,Cr)-B的扩散影响区3个部分构成;在试验温度范围内,复合材料的磨损率都小于耐热钢的磨损率,复合材料的磨损率和相对耐磨性都随着试验温度的升高呈现先减小后增大的趋势,800℃时复合材料的相对耐磨性最高,达到耐热钢的1.8倍;在25~600℃时,复合材料的磨损机理主要是微观切削、塑变疲劳断裂、CTCP表面由磨料碾压刮擦导致的疲劳剥落和CTCP因NiCrBSi支撑不足导致的折断或脱落,在600~800℃时,复合材料的磨损机理主要是微观切削和氧化与磨损的交互作用。

Auxetic metamaterials,which exhibit the negative Poisson’s ratio(NPR)effect,have found wide applications in many engineering ***,their high porosity inevitably weakens their bearing capacity and impact *** improve the energy absorption efficiency of auxetic honeycombs,a novel vertex-based hierarchical star-shaped honeycomb(VSH)is designed by replacing each vertex in the classical star-shaped honeycomb(SSH)with a newly added self-similar *** analytical model is built to investigate the Young’s modulus of VSH,which shows good agreement with experimental results and numerical *** in-plane dynamic crushing behaviors of VSH at three different crushing velocities are investigated,and empirical formulas for the densification strain and plateau stress are *** results reveal more stable deformation modes for VSH,attributed to the addition of self-similar star-shaped ***,compared with SSH under the same relative densities,VSH exhibits better specific energy absorption and higher plateau ***,VSH is verified to be a better candidate for energy absorption while maintaining the auxetic *** study is expected to provide a new design strategy for auxetic honeycombs.

This paper considers the problem of approximating the infinite-horizon value function of the discrete-time switched LQR *** particular,the authors propose a new value iteration method to generate a sequence of monotonically decreasing functions that converges exponentially to the value *** method facilitates us to use coarse approximations resulting from faster but less accurate algorithms for further value iteration,and thus,the proposed approach is capable of achieving a better approximation for a given computation time compared with the existing *** numerical examples are presented in this paper to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Theoretical study on the stability of nanobubbles and its verification in molecular dynamics simulation

The stability of vapor nanobubbles in bulk liquid was investigated theoretically and the critical bubble size was derived from macroscale thermodynamic equations,below which the system destabilizes with sharp drop in *** critical size was quantitatively verified in molecular dynamic simulation using the Lennard-Jones model of argon,where stronger attraction between the molecules at lower density is found to contribute most to the drop of system pressure and,as the Laplace pressure on the curved bubble interface fails to balance the pressure difference across the interface,the bubbles become *** theoretical model could be extended to other systems where reliable equations of state and interfacial tension are available.
