Immunotherapeutical Potential of Mycobacterium Vaccae on M. Tuberculosis Infection in Mice

Tuberculosis remains the worldwide infectious disease. To identify the therapeutic potential of M. vaccae in treating tuberculosis, M. vaccae was injected into Mycobacterium tuberculosis （M. tuberculosis） infected mice. The optimal dose of M. vaccae （22.5 μg/mouse） treated mice showed lower pathological change index, spleen weight index, lung weight index and vital M. tuberculosis count than those of the untreated group. Treatment with M. vaccae enhanced the percentages of CD3^＋ and CD4^＋ T cells, IFN-γ^＋CD4^＋ T cells, innate immune cells including NK cells, NK1.1^＋ T cells and γδ T cells, and reduced the percentage of IL-4^＋CD4^＋ T cells. Therefore, M. vaccae could protect the mice from M. tuberculosis infection and improved mouse innate and adaptive cell-mediated immunity, suggesting that M. vaccae is a potential immunotherapeutic agent in pulmonary tuberculosis. 目的对乳腺癌化疗所致周围神经病变运动干预的相关研究进行范围综述，为开展运动干预提供参考。方法基于JBI范围综述框架，系统检索国内外常用数据库，检索时限为建库至2024年3月31日，对检索出的文献进行筛选和信息提取。结果共纳入13篇文献，其中10篇随机对照试验，3篇类实验研究。运动类型包括有氧运动、抗阻运动、感觉运动训练、平衡训练、振动训练、神经舞蹈训练、自行设计的四肢锻炼操等；总干预时长4～12周或化疗时长，运动强度多为轻中度，运动频率多为2～5次/周，30～60 min/次。运动干预评价指标包括安全性、依从性、化疗所致周围神经病变症状及其严重程度、生活质量等。结论运动干预可改善乳腺癌患者化疗所致周围神经病变发生率及严重程度、提高患者生活质量，但运动干预策略和评价标准存在较大差异，有待更多证据以制订最佳运动干预方案。

The acute lethality and endocrine effect of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD in juvenile goldfish (Carassius auratus) in vivo

1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD was administrated to juvenile goldfish （Carassius auratus） by peritoneal injections to explore the acute lethality and endocrine effects of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD in vivo. The value of acute median lethal dosage （LD50） of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD was determined in acute lethality tests. The endocrine effect of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD, whose exposed concentrations were determined based on the LD50 （1.84 mg/kg）, was studied by measuring the plasma vitellogenin （Vtg） content in juvenile male goldfish with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays （ELISA）. Due to its significant induction of the plasma Vtg after one week＇s exposure in vivo in the 1/2 LD50 and LD30 groups, 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD might be one of the important contributors to the estrogenic effect of PCDDs in the environment. The values of 1/2 LD50 and LD30 were within the range of the effective dosages of 1,2,3,7,8-PeCDD, indicating that there was a certain relationship between the estrogenic effective dosages and the LD50.

The settling of resuspended lake sediment related to physicochemical properties of particles of different sizes: Implication for environmental remediation

Sediment resuspension is an important way for shallow lake internal pollution to interact with the overlying water column,and the pollution risks are reasonably related to the retention of resuspended sediment particles in overlying *** the current study,the settling of resuspended sediment particles was comprehensively investigated under different disturbances using five urban lake *** results show that the particle size distributions of resuspended sediment from different lakes exhibited similar variations during settling with disturbance,although varied settling times were observed under static *** settling with and without disturbance,sediment particle sizes were mainly within 8-63 μm at the initial stage,and were 63 μm),silt(8-63 μm),and very fine silt and clay(<8 μm) *** analysis suggested that sediment settling for different particle sizes could be well described by the first-and second-order kinetic equations,especially when settling was disturbed(r~2=0.727-0.999).The retention of resuspended sediment could be enhanced as particle sizes decreased and disturbance intensities ***,a water elutriation method was successfully optimized,with separation efficiencies of 56.1%-83%,to separate sediment particles into the defined three particle size *** chemical compositions of sediment were found to change with different particle ***,calcium tended to form large-size sediment,while the total contents of aluminum,iron,magnesium,and manganese showed significantly negative correlations with sediment particle sizes(p <0.01) and tended to distribute in small-size particles(e.g.,<8 μm).Overall,the sediment particle size related settling dynamics and physicochemical properties suggested the necessity on determining the pollution of resuspended sediment at different p

To monitor the reaction between Ce^(4+) ion and Cl-ion at the electron level,an electrochemical experiment was designed in this ***,the intermediate and final products that may be produced during the redox reaction are directly tracked by using cyclic voltammetry,and the influences of Ce^(4+) ion concentration,temperatu re and F-ion on the reduction peak potential of Ce^(4+) ion were *** results show that Ce^(4+) ion reacts with Cl-ion through an irreversible reaction without any intermediate products,and the rate-determining step of the reaction is diffusion during the electrode *** effects of temperature(20-40℃) and Ce^(4+) ion concentration(0.04-0.12 mol/L) on the reduction peak pote ntial of Ce^(4+) ion can be ignored,but the higher the molar ratio of F-to Ce^(4+)(0-3 mol/mol),the mo re easily the reduction of Ce^(4+) ion to Ce^(3+) ion ***,the Ce^(4+) ions are preferentially reduced by thiourea when thiourea is added in the HCl solution,and thiourea inhibits the oxidation of Cl-ions to Cl_(2) by forming a complex with *** work provides a theoretical basis for the role of thiourea in inhibiting Cl_(2) production and offers a new way to find new reductants.

Patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)undergoing interferon(IFN)-α-based therapies often exhibit a poor HBeAg serological ***,there is an unmet need for new therapies aimed at *** study comprised two clinical trials,including 130 CHB patients,who were treatment-naïve;in the first,92 patients were systematically analyzed ex vivo for interleukin-2 receptor(IL-2R)expression and inhibitory molecules expression after receiving Peg-IFN-α-2b *** our second clinical trial,38 non-responder patients,in whom IFN-αtherapy had failed,were treated with or without low-dose IL-2 for 24 *** then examined the hepatitis B virus(HBV)-specific CD8+T-cell response and the clinical outcome,in these *** the majority of the participants undergoing Peg-IFN-α-2b therapy were non-responders,we observed a decrease in CD25 expression on their CD4+T cells,suggesting that IFN-αtherapy may provide a rationale for sequential IL-2 treatment without increasing regulatory T cells(Tregs).Following sequential therapy with IL-2,we demonstrated that the non-responders experienced a decrease in the numbers of Tregs and programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1)*** addition,sequential IL-2 administration rescued effective immune function,involving signal transducer and activator of transcription 1(STAT1)***,IL-2 therapy significantly increased the frequency and function of HBV-specific CD8+T cells,which translated into improved clinical outcomes,including HBeAg seroconversion,among the non-responder CHB *** findings suggest that sequential IL-2 therapy shows efficacy in rescuing immune function in non-responder patients with refractory CHB.

Lithium sulfur batteries are regarded as a promising candidate for high-energy-density energy storage ***,the lithium metal anode in lithium-sulfur batteries encounters the problem of lithium dendrites and lithium metal consumption caused by polysulfide *** we design a dualfunction PMMA/PPC/LiNO3composite as an artificial solid electrolyte interphase(PMCN-SEI)to protect Li metal *** SEI offers multiple sites of C=O for polysulfide anchoring to constrain corrosion of Li metal *** lithiated polymer group and Li3N in PMCN-SEI can homogenize lithium-ion deposition behavior to achieve a dendrite-free *** a result,the PMCN-SEI protected Li metal anode enables the Li||Li symmetric batteries to maintain over 300 cycles(1300 h)at a capacity of 5 m Ah cm^(-2),corresponding to a cumulative capacity of 3.25 Ah cm^(-2).Moreover,Li-S batteries assembled with 20μm of Li metal anode(N/P=1.67)still deliver an initial capacity of 1166 m A h g-1at ***,introducing polycarbonate polymer/inorganic composite SEI on Li provides a new solution for achieving the high energy density of Li-S batteries.
