Continuous pulse wave signals monitoring is the essential basis for clinical cardiovascular diagnosis and *** researches show the majority of current electronic pulse sensors usually face challenges in electrical safety concern,poor durability and demanding precision in position ***,a highly sensitive,inherently electrical safe,robust and alignment-free device is highly ***,we present a wearable alignment-free microfber-based sensor chip(AFMSC)for precise vital signs monitoring and cardiovascular health *** AFMSC comprises an optical micro/nano fber sensor(MNF)and a fexible soft liquid sac while the MNF sensor is used to perceive the physiological signals and the liquid sac is used to eliminate the *** real-time and accurate monitoring of the pulse signals was realized by tracking the optical power variation of transmitted light from ***,the cardiovascular vital signs extracted from radial artery pulse signals were used to evaluate cardiovascular health condition and the results were in accordance with human physiological ***,the pulse signals from diferent arterial area,the respiration signals from chest and the radial pulse signals before and after exercise were detected and *** non-invasive,continuous and accurate monitoring of cardiovascular health based on the reported wearable and alignment-free device is promising in both ftness monitoring and medical diagnostics for cardiovascular disease prevention and diagnosis.

Automatic and continuous blood pressure monitoring is important for preventing cardiovascular diseases such as *** evaluation of medication effects and the diagnosis of clinical hypertension can both benefit from continuous *** current generation of wearable blood pressure monitors frequently encounters limitations with inadequate portability,electrical safety,limited accuracy,and precise position ***,we present an optical fiber sensor-assisted smartwatch for precise continuous blood pressure monitoring.A fiber adapter and a liquid capsule were used in the building of the blood pressure smartwatch based on an optical fiber *** fiber adapter was used to detect the pulse wave signals,and the liquid capsule was used to expand the sensing area as well as the conformability to the *** sensor holds a sensitivity of-213μw/kPa,a response time of 5 ms,and high reproducibility with 70,000 *** the assistance of pulse wave signal feature extraction and a machine learning algorithm,the smartwatch can continuously and precisely monitor blood pressure.A wearable smartwatch featuring a signal processing chip,a Bluetooth transmission module,and a specially designed cellphone APP was also created for active health *** performance in comparison with commercial sphygmomanometer reference measurements shows that the systolic pressure and diastolic pressure errors are-0.35±4.68 mmHg and-2.54±4.07 mmHg,*** values are within the acceptable ranges for Grade A according to the British Hypertension Society(BHS)and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation(AAMI).The smartwatch assisted with an optical fiber is expected to offer a practical paradigm in digital health.

Histopathological Observation of Lymphocystis Disease and Lymphocystis Disease Virus (LCDV) Detection in Cultured Diseased Sebastes schlegeli

Lymphocystis nodules occurring in the cultured sting fish Sebastes schlegeli were observed under light and electron microscope. Lymphocystis disease virus (LCDV) in the tissues of diseased fish was detected with indirect immunofluorescence test (IFAT). Results showed that lymphocystis cells had overly irregular nuclei, basophilic intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies with virions budding from the surface, and hyaline capsules outside the cell membrane. Numerous virus particles about 200 nm in diameter scat- tered in the cytoplasm, electron-dense particles 70-80 nm in diameter filled in perinuclear cisterna, and membrane-enveloped parti- cles with electron-dense core of 70-80 nm appeared around cellular nucleus. IFAT using monoclonal antibody against LCDV from Paralichthys olivaceus revealed that specific green fluorescence was present in the cytoplasm of lymphocystis cells, epithelium of stomach, gill lamellae, and muscular fibers under epidermis of S. schlegeli, just as that in the cytoplasm of lymphocystis cells of P. olivaceus, suggesting the presence of LCDV in these tissues.

Gross Nitrification Rates and Nitrous Oxide Emissions in an Apple Orchard Soil in Northeast China

A better understanding of nitrogen （N） transformation in agricultural soils is crucial for the development of sustainable and environmental-friendly N fertilizer management and the proposal of effective N20 mitigation strategies. This study aimed： i） to elucidate the seasonal dynamic of gross nitrification rate and N20 emission, ii） to determine the influence of soil conditions on the gross nitrification, and iii） to confirm the relationship between gross nitrification and N20 emissions in the soil of an apple orchard in Yantai, Northeast China. The gross nitrification rates and N20 fluxes were examined from March to October in 2009, 2010, and 2011 using the barometric process separation （BaPS） technique and the static chamber method. During the wet seasons gross nitrification rates were 1.64 times higher than those under dry season conditions. Multiple regression analysis revealed that gross nitrification rates were significantly correlated with soil temperature and soil water-filled pore space （WFPS）. The relationship between gross nitrification rates and soil WFPS followed an optimum curve peaking at 60% WFPS. Nitrous oxide fluxes varied widely from March to October and were stimulated by N fertilizer application. Statistically significant positive correlations were found between gross nitrification rates and soil N20 emissions. Further evaluation indicated that gross nitrification contributed significantly to N20 formation during the dry season （about 86%） but to a lesser degree during the wet season （about 51%）. Therefore, gross nitrification is a key process for the formation of N20 in soils of apple orchard ecosystems of the geographical region.

Assessment of Waterlogging Risk in Lixiahe Region of Jiangsu Province Based on AVHRR and MODIS Image

Four images of 1991 AVHRR, 2003 and 2007 MODIS were used to extract waterlogging inundated water of three years, and three inundated water maps were overlaid to estimate waterlogging affected frequency. Based on wa-terlogging affected frequency, waterlogging hazard of pixel scale was assessed. According to the weighed score of area percentage of different waterlogging affected frequency in 13 counties/cities of Lixiahe region, waterlogging hazard rank of every county/city was assessed. Waterlogging affected frequency map and 1km×1km grid landuse map were used to assess waterlogging risk of pixel scale; and then waterlogging risk rank of every county/city was assessed by the similar method by which waterlogging hazard rank of every county/city was assessed. High risk region is located mainly in core zone of Lixiahe hinterland, medium risk region is adjacent to high risk region, and low risk region is located in the most outlying area of risk zone and mainly in south to middle part of Lixiahe region. Xinghua and Gaoyou belong to high risk city, Jiangyan belongs to medium risk city, and the other counties/cities have low or lower waterlogging risk. The method of assessing waterlogging risk in this paper is simple and applicable. This paper can provide guidance for the waterlogging risk analysis in broader area of Huaihe River Basin.

Metabolic reprogramming has been demonstrated to have a significant impact on the biological behaviors of tumor cells,among which glycolysis is an important *** research has revealed that the heightened glycolysis levels,the abnormal expression of glycolytic enzymes,and the accumulation of glycolytic products could regulate the growth,proliferation,invasion,and metastasis of tumor cells and provide a favorable microenvironment for tumor development and *** on the distinctive glycolytic characteristics of tumor cells,novel imaging tests have been developed to evaluate tumor proliferation and *** addition,glycolytic enzymes have been found to serve as promising biomarkers in tumor,which could provide assistance in the early diagnosis and prognostic assessment of tumor *** glycolytic enzymes have been identified as potential therapeutic targets for tumor treatment,and various small molecule inhibitors targeting glycolytic enzymes have been developed to inhibit tumor development and some of them are already applied in the *** this review,we systematically summarized recent advances of the regulatory roles of glycolysis in tumor progression and highlighted the potential clinical significance of glycolytic enzymes and products as novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets in tumor treatment.

Simulation of Airblast Load and Its Effect on RC Structures

In the analysis of a structure subjected to an explosion event, the determination of the blast load constitutes a crucial step. The effect of the blast load on the structure depends not only on the peak shock overpressure, but also the impulse (hence the duration). For structures with a regular geometry, the blast load may be fairly well estimated using appropriate empirical formulae; however, for more complex situations, a direct simulation using appropriate computational techniques is necessary. This paper presents a numerical simulation study on the prediction of the blast load in free air using a hydrocode, with focus on the sensitivity of the simulated blast load to the mesh grid size. The simulation results are compared with empirical predictions. It is found that the simulated blast load is sensitive to the mesh size, especially in the close-in range, and with a practically affordable mesh grid density, the blast load tends to be systematically underestimated. The study is extended to internal blast cases. An example concrete slab under internal explosion is analyzed using a coupled analysis scheme. The internal blast load from the simulation is examined and the response of the RC slab is commented.

This paper examines China＇s urban housing sector and proposes that property, tax reform be undertaken. Specifically, China should significantly reduce taxes on transactions and introduce property taxes during the possession of houses. This will increase housing affordability as a result of lower transaction costs, reduce speculation because of the higher opportunity cost of holding vacant houses, stabilize the fiscal system by generating more sustainable tax revenue, and improve the efficiency and fairness of the property tax system according to the principles of ＂ability-to-pay＂ and ＂user pays＂.

Immune checkpoints are differentially expressed on various immune cells to regulate immune responses in tumor *** cells can activate the immune checkpoint pathway to establish an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment and inhibit the anti-tumor immune response,which may lead to tumor progression by evading immune *** coinhibitory signaling pathways with immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)could reinvigorate the anti-tumor immune response and promote immune-mediated eradication of tumor *** a milestone in tumor treatment,ICIs have been firstly used in solid tumors and subsequently expanded to hematological malignancies,which are in their ***,immune checkpoints have been investigated as promising biomarkers and therapeutic targets in hematological malignancies,and novel immune checkpoints,such as signal regulatory proteinα(SIRPα)and tumor necrosis factor-alpha-inducible protein 8-like 2(TIPE2),are constantly being *** ICIs have received clinical approval for clinical application in the treatment of hematological malignancies,especially when used in combination with other strategies,including oncolytic viruses(OVs),neoantigen vaccines,bispecific antibodies(bsAb),bio-nanomaterials,tumor vaccines,and cytokine-induced killer(CIK)***,the proportion of individuals with hematological malignancies benefiting from ICIs remains lower than expected due to multiple mechanisms of drug resistance and immune-related adverse events(irAEs).Close monitoring and appropriate intervention are needed to mitigate irAEs while using *** review provided a comprehensive overview of immune checkpoints on different immune cells,the latest advances of ICIs and highlighted the clinical applications of immune checkpoints in hematological malignancies,including biomarkers,targets,combination of ICIs with other therapies,mechanisms of resistance to ICIs,and irAEs,which can provide novel insight into the future
