Microspheres composited with mesoporous SBA-15 particles and silica were investigated as fillers in miniature loudspeakers to study the factors influencing the resonance frequency offsets(RFOs).Mesoporous silica microspheres(MSMs)were prepared by self-assembling SBA-15 mesoporous silica in a microemulsion synthesis *** formation process involved the fabrication of a stable O/W microemulsion of tetrabutyl orthosili-cate(TBOS)and hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide(C16TAB)and encapsulation of *** RFO increased and then decreased with increasing particle size(in the length range of 0.7—5.5 μm and in the width range of 0.2—0.45 μm),increased with increasing pore size(in the range of 7.0—9.4 nm)of SBA-15s,and increased with decreasing particle size(105—900 μm)of MSMs.

Anisotropic silica nanoparticles (AISNPs) are appealing for various applications due to their greater effective surface area and increased active sites compared to isotropic silica nanoparticles (ISNPs).Herein,we employed a sol-gel method to synthesize AISNPs utilizing the mixture of ethylenediamine (EDA);1,3-diaminopropane (1,3-DAP) as both structure-directing agents and *** increasing EDA:1,3-DAP molar ratio,the samples transitioned from isotropic spherical particles to anisotropic particles with increasing *** synthesis of AISNP with a particle size of ca.40 nm,average circularity (e) of 0.83,fitting ellipse aspect ratio (ar) of 1.18 and percentage of deformed particles of 83.3% was achieved with a molar ratio of EDA:1,3-DAP=7:*** is speculated that the close proximity of EDA's amine groups facilitates their adsorption on the same primary particle through electrostatic interaction,inhibiting primary particle connections and resulting in spherical seeds that grow into small isotropic particles;the long-distance amine groups of 1,3-DAP connect adjacent particles anisotropically due to the steric hindrance,leading to large anisotropic particles;the mixtures with different EDA/1,3-DAP molar ratios result in different morphologies and sizes by their cooperative effect.

Hematite(α-Fe_(2)O_(3))is known to undergo conversion from weak ferromagnetic to antiferromagnetic as the temperature decreases below the Morin temperature(TM=250 K)due to spin moment rotation occurring during the Morin transition(MT).Herein,we endowed hematite with mesostructured chirality to maintain weak ferromagnetism without *** mesostructured hematite(CMH)nanoparticles were prepared by a hydrothermal method with glutamic acid(Glu)as the symmetry-breaking *** triangular bipyramidal CMH nanoparticles were composed of helically cleaved nanoflakes with twisted crystal ***-cooled(FC)magnetization measurements showed that the magnetic moments of CMH were stabilized without MT within the temperature range of 10–300 *** loop measurements confirmed the weak ferromagnetism of *** enhanced Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction(DMI)was speculated to be responsible for the temperature-independent weak ferromagnetism,in which the spin configuration would be confined with canted antiferromagnetic coupling due to the mesostructured chirality of CMH.

Chiral inorganic materials have attracted great attention owning to their unique physical and chemical properties attributed to the symmetry-breaking of their *** inorganic materials can be endowed with chiral geometric configurations from achiral space group crystals through lattice twisting,screw dislocations or hierarchical self-assembled spiral morphologies,showing various characteristic chiral ***,the multilevel chirality in chiral nickel molybdate films(CNMFs)remains to be elaborately *** this paper,we report three hierarchical levels of chirality in CNMFs,spanning from the atomic to the micron scale,including primary helically coiled nanoflakes with twisted atomic crystal lattices,secondary helical stacking of layered nanoflakes,and tertiary asymmetric morphology between adjacent *** findings may enrich the chiral self-assembly structural types and provide valuable insights for the comprehensive analysis path of hierarchical chiral crystals.

The self-assembly of DNA provides an attractive approach to understanding structural formation mechanism in living organisms and to assisting applications in materials ***,we investigated the effect of metal ions on chiral self-assembly of DNA through the synthesis of chiral mesostructured silica via self-assembly of metal ions,DNA,and silica source.31 types of multivalent cationic metal ions were found to induce formation of chiral impeller-like DNA-silica complexes due to the chiral stacking of *** strength of the interaction between the metal ion and phosphate group of DNA was speculated for the chiral stacking of DNA due to close distance of adjacent DNA to assure mutual *** calculations indicated that chiral packing of DNA depends on the stability of the bridging phosphate-metal ion-phosphate bonds of DNA based on electron delocalization in d-orbital conjugation of metal ions.

The chirality-induced spin selectivity(CISS)has been found in the antiferromagnetic and paramagnetic chiral inorganic materials with unpaired electrons,while rarely reported in the spin-paired diamagnetic inorganic materials with spin-pairing ***,we report the CISS in the spin-paired diamagnetic BiOBr endowed with three levels of chiral *** mesostructured BiOBr films(CMBFs)were fabricated through a sugar alcohol-induced hydrothermal *** antipodal CMBFs exhibited chirality-dependent,magnetic field-independent magnetic circular dichroism(MCD)signals,which indicates the existence of spin *** spin selectivity of CMBFs was speculated to be the result of the competing effect between the externally applied magnetic field and the effective magnetic field arisen from the spin electron motions in chiral *** chirality-induced effective magnetic field acts on the magnetic moment of electrons,potentially overcoming the spin-pairing energy and producing opposite energy changes for spin-down and spin-up electrons.

Spin chiral anisotropy(SChA)refers to the occurrence of different spin polarization in antipodal chiral ***,we report the SChA in diamagnetic chiral mesostructured In2O3 films(CMIFs)with manifestation of chirality-dependent magnetic circular dichroism(MCD)*** were grown on fluorine-doped tin dioxide conductive glass(FTO)substrates,which were synthesized via a hydrothermal route,with malic acid used as the symmetry-breaking *** levels of chirality have been identified in CMIFs:primary nanoflakes with atomically twisted crystal lattices and secondary helical stacking of the *** exhibit chirality-dependent asymmetric MCD signals due to the different interactions of chirality-induced effective magnetic field and external magnetic field,which distinguish from the commonly observed external magnetic fielddependent symmetric MCD *** findings provide insights into spin manipulation of spin-paired diamagnets.
