Cyclic trinuclear units(CTUs) MPz(M = Cu(I), Ag(I) and Au(I), Pz = pyrazolate) are of significantly fascinating supramolecular synthons[1-5] to achieve novel supramolecular aggregates based on metallophilicity, πacid/base interactions and coordination bond due to their planar geometry and unsaturated metal centers(UMC). These supramolecular aggregates are lightened by these supramolecular interactions to show tunable colors based on multi-emissions,[3] including the feature emission color of the individual component and newly-emerged emission color of the dimer/trimer. They show potential applications in sensors, luminescent materials and even white-light emission diode(WLED).[4] For examples:1. The complexes incorporating(Cu Pz) and Cun In units show temperature sensing ability and chemopalette effects;2. Modulating the aggregation behaviors to realize fluorescence/phosphorescence switching and even white-light emission;3. π acid/base adducts show special luminescence properties for halide/pseudo-halide or sensing aromatic molecules;4. Coordination adducts show colorful luminescence properties sensitive to the weak coordination bonds.

Optical functional materials,as one of the research hotspots,have been widely used in luminescence,catalysis,detection,and *** them,trinuclear copper(I) pyrazolate (CuPz) complexes and cubic tetranuclear copper iodine cluster (CuI) have unique advantages in terms of *** a continuous work about 2-D luminescent CuPz-CuI system,this work reported two isostructural CuPz-CuI complexes with CuI(NH)/CuI(CHNH)intersected between the 2-D *** show the similar CuPz-CuI 2-D sheets,but substituent effects on phenyl group lead to large distances between the adjacent sheets,allowing pure inorganic CuI(NH3)3/CuI(CHNH)*** show bright orange emission colors with only one dominant emission band withl=610-620 nm,completely different from the dual emission behaviors of these reported *** work provides a feasible clue for the design of optical functional materials by changing the auxiliary ligands to control the luminescence properties.

For the great contributions in the research of molecular machines,Jean-Pierre Sauvage,Sir *** Stoddart and Bernard *** awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2016 jointly. Interlocked 3-D cages,as potential molecular machines,have attracted a great deal of attentions for their aesthetic charm and potential applications in supramolecular materials. Herein an edge-interlocked heteroleptic metallocages based on Cu3(pyrazolate)3 was prepared through a ligand replacement reaction from a homoleptic metallocage and a new ligand (Figure 1). Its mechanically interlocked structure was confirmed by XRD and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry (Figure 2).The interaction energy and photoluminescence properties (Figure 3) were also studied by DFT and TDDFT calculations.

Trinuclear CuI-pyrazolate units are a kind of coordination luminophore,which have important research value for exploring the luminescence properties and *** results indicate that they give low-energy phosphorescence from yellow color to red color based on intertrimers *** we reported a kind of dual emissive complexes by attaching blue emissive group on trinuclear CuI-pyrazolate unit,which exhibits blue and red emission *** relative intensity of the two bands is dependent on excitation energy and the emission color changed from red to purple and to blue,showing emission-color-tunable features.

Trinuclear Cu（I）,Ag（I）and Au（I）pyrazolate complexes have attracted much attentions because of their remarkable structural diversity and peculiar luminescence properties[1,2].These molecular complexes tend to form dimers and oligomers due to metallophilic interactions,leading to low energy photoluminescence properties based on 3[MM].Herein,two supramolecular isomeric complexes Cu3Pz3,1a and 1b,were reported,which were prepared under solvothermal *** have the same chemical composition but different stacking model between Cu3Pz3units（Fig 1a and 1b）.Dimer of trimers were formed with the shortest intertrimer Cu-Cu distance about 3.03in1a,and a chain-like oligomers were formed in 1b with intertrimers Cu-Cu distance about 3.20and 3.47,indicating metallophilic interactions *** give different emission color（orange-red for 1a and red for 1b）based on the *** different maximum wavelength maybe originate from the different Cu-Cu distances（Fig 1c）.The low energy emission of the isomer was tentatively ascribed to the 3[MC].

The pyrazolated complexeswithd closed-shell coinage metal(Cu,Ag,Au)have received extensive attentions in the field of photofunctional organometallic *** of the rich and complicated charge transitions and the existence of the metallophilic interactions,these complexes usually show attractive and colorful photoemission *** trinuclear complexes are prepared with deprotonated pyrazole andd coinage metal in a linear coordination *** diversity of packing modes and interesting luminescence properties make these complexes a research ***,a new cyclic trinuclear Cu(Ⅰ)-pyrazolated complex was reported,which was preparedunder solvothermal *** crystal structure of the complex was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction(Fig.1 a).The inter-trimers Cu-Cu distances are about 3.602 A(Fig.1 b),indicating weak cuprophilicity *** complex show dual emissive ***-dependent emission spectra indicate that it can be a sensor material for luminescence thermometer.(Fig.1 c).

In recent years,mechanochromic and photochromic materials have attracted much intention due to their potential applications in sensing and recording devices[1].Complex 1（Fig.1a）,namely Au3（PPz）3（PPz=4-phenyl-3,5-dimethylpyrazolate）has been *** of the trimers in the complex forms two Au-Au contacts with one molecule above and with one molecule below to form an extended chain arrangement,giving a total of four Au-Au intermolecular interactions with distances of 3.5（Fig.1b）.After grinding for a while,the bright yellow-luminescent crystal changes into red-luminescent powder under *** luminescence recovered to bright yellow when added THF（tetrahydrofuran）to the ground sample（Fig.1c）.The same luminescence changes also occurs when exposure the crystal under 254 nm for 3 days（Fig.1d）.Therefore,complex 1 shows reversible mechanochromic and photochromic properties which may serve as a potential material with multi-reponsive luminescence changes[2].

Cyclic trinuclear units(CTUs) MPz(M = Cu(I), Ag(I) and Au(I), Pz = pyrazolate) are of significantly fascinating supramolecular synthons to achieve novel supramolecular aggregates based on π-acid···base interactions, metallophilicity and other non-covalent interactions due to their planar geometry and unsaturated metal centers(UMC). Most of them show novel photoluminescence properties, including the feature emission color of the individual component and newly-emerged emission color of the dimer/trimer, to give off tunable colors based on multi-emissions. They show potential applications in sensors, luminescent materials and even white-light emission diode(WLED). Accordingly, we proposed the chemopalette effect based on MPz to realize color-tunable luminescence materials and even WLE materials by regulating their aggregation behaviors, dual chromophores, and other supramolecular coordination microenvironments.

Since the discovery of C_(60)[1],considerable efforts have been made to explore the potential applications of fullerene-based materials in photoelectronic devices[2–9].Such materials show highly efficient charge carrier generation and separation upon light illumination due to their spherical polyene structure and high electron affinity[10].Many C_(60)-based composite materials,including C_(60)-embedded metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)[11,12],C60-doped polymers[2],organic C_(60)derivatives[7,13–15],and C_(60)-anchored perovskite films[16],show advantageous photoelectronic performances by virtue of highly efficient photogenerated donor-acceptor charge transfer[17–19].However,only a small number of these materials exhibit precise crystal structures,which hampers the evaluation of their structure-function relationships.
