Modifed Pre-stretching Assembly Method for Cable-Driven Systems

Soft cable-driven systems have been employed in many assembled mechanisms, such as industrial robots, parallel kinematic mechanism machines, medical devices, and humaniform hands. A pre-stretching process is necessary to guarantee the quality of cable-driven systems during the assembly process. However, the stress relaxation of cables becomes a critical concern during long-term operation. This study investigates the effects of non-uniform deformation and long-term stress relaxation of the driven cables owing to moving parts in the system. A simple closed-loop cable-driven system is built and an alternating load is applied to it to replicate the operation of transmission cables. Under different experimental conditions, the cable tension is recorded and the boundary data are selected to be curve-fitted. Based on the fitted results, a formula is presented to estimate the stress relaxation of cables to evaluate the assembly performance. Further experimental results show that the stress relaxation is mainly caused by cable creep and the assembly procedure. To remove the influence of the assembly procedure, a modified pre-stretching assembly method based on the stress relaxation theory is proposed and verification experiments are performed. Finally, the assembly performance is optimized using a cable-driven surgical robot as an example. This paper proposes a dual stretching method instead of the pre-stretching method to assemble the cable-driven system to improve its performance and prolong its service life.

Application of Vacuum Drying to Silica Sol Ceramic Mold

Silica sol ceramic mold was made at room temperature with JN-30 silica sol, silica powder and NH4Cl. It is found that the harden time of silica sol ceramic mold is only 0.5 to 1.5 h under the amount of NH4Cl solution of 7% to 8% with 15% concentration, and less surface cracks occur by using vacuum drying. The proper vacuum drying process parameters： vacuum drying temperature is 80 to 100℃, drying time is 5 h and vacuum is 0.06 to 0.07MPa. The harden mechanics, vacuum drying mechanics and the reason of less surface cracks of silica sol ceramic mold by vacuum drying： were also analyzed in this paper.

飞机着陆下沉速度是起落架设计和飞机设计定型试飞的起落架强度检查中的最主要的参数之一。本文按军用飞机强度和刚度规范中规定的要求,通过对皮尔逊Ⅲ型概率密度分布函数的推导,完成了在不同偏态系数Cs下的离均系数Φp和超越概率P的对应数值编程计算,并得到了相应的计算结果。据此可以确定各类飞机在各种着陆类型下的着陆下沉速度的最大值。这对飞机的设计研究提供指导。

We measured lifetime and doppler broadening spectra of Sm_(2/3)Sr_(1/3)MnO_(3+δ) as functions of temperature by positron annihilation technology In terms of lifetime spectrum,we found that the lattice effects triggered by ferromagnetic transition give rise to the change of the coefficient of the average linear thermal expansion of Sm_(2/3)Sr_(1/3)MnO_(3+δ) at *** terms of doppler broadening spectrum,we found the delocalization of low-momentum electrons occurs in Sm_(2/3)Sr_(1/3)MnO_(3+δ) at metal-insulator transition temperature.

A novel Zn-PANI dry rechargeable battery

Conducting polyaniline (PANI) powder was well mixed with graphite and acetylene black to obtain the optimum conductivity and porosity. The mixed powder was compressed into a pellet for cathode. Zinc powder was mixed with some metal powder, and compressed into a pellet used as the anode. The electrolyte comprised ZnCl2, NH4Cl, Triton-X100 and PVA at pH 3. The battery has an open-circuit voltage of 1.44 V. The battery underwent charge-discharge cycle with a constant current density of 3 mA·cm-2, within the voltage range of 0.40-1.68 V. It is found that the capacity of the battery is related to the charge-discharge cycles, the maximum capacity is 67.9 mAh·g-1, and Coulombic efficiency is between 95% and 100%. The battery stability was also investigated after 78 d of standing without use. It is found that the battery experiences a self-discharge of less than 0.29% per day.

Structural and Magnetic Studies of CTAC-assisted NiZn Ferrite Films within 0.1-3.5 GHz

Spinel NiZn ferrite thin films were prepared on glass substrates by spray plating method. Adding cetyltrimethylammoniumchloride （CTAC）, adsorptive energy of substrate surface increased, and smooth surface and uniform columnar film structures were observed. The optimum reaction temperature up to 85℃ and pH up to 7.5 were obtained. As the solution pH value increases from 6.5 to 7.5, the film saturation magnetization increases to 36.1 and the imaginary part μ″ up to 53.2 for NiZn ferrite film at 500 MHz were achieved, and higher magnetic resonance at 508 MHz was observed. As the ferrite plate thickness is 50 μm, the attenuating characteristics for reflection loss ≤-0.8 dB can be obtained in the wide frequency ranging from 0.5 to 2.7 GHz. Theμ″ of thin film has values higher than 20 at the frequencies between 0.5 and 2 GHz, and the thin film can be applied as shielding material in GHz range.
