Discovery of the mid-Cretaceous sedimentary rocks from the ultrahigh-pressure terrane,Dabie Orogenic Belt,and its tectonopaleogeographic implications

The Dabie Orogenic Belt, located in east-central China, is known for the greatest outcrop area of the ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic rocks in the world and is typical for studying deep continental subduction and continent-continent collision. However, since lower-grade metamorphic rock occurrence in the core of the ultrahigh-pressure terrane was reported, it has become a new point of concern. This study reported new results. The so-called lower-grade metamorphic rocks are divided into sedimentary rocks and *** sedimentary rocks consist mainly of fine-grained turbidites formed under an anoxic deep-water lacustrine basin. Laser Ablation-Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry U-Pb detrital zircon dating indicates that their maximum deposit age is 119.0 ± 1.1 Ma belonging to the mid-Cretaceous Aptian. U-Pb detrital zircon ages from the sedimentary rocks cluster in three age groups: 1) 2773.8-1550.0 Ma(45.0%);2)868.8-622.3 Ma(23.0%);3) 147.0-100.0 Ma(31.5%). And the provenance and tectonic settings of these sedimentary rocks are discussed by synthesizing U-Pb detrital zircon ages, initial Hf isotope ratios, and trace elements of the zircons. Source rocks of the first group were mainly composed of the Paleoproterozoic basement derived from the reworking of the Paleoarchean-Neoarchean Yangtze continental crust. For the second group, its source rocks consisted of Neoproterozoic volcanics mainly from an island arc system, which derived from the reworking of older continental crust in the northern Yangtze Block. The third group’s source rocks were chiefly composed of Cretaceous rift igneous rocks derived from the derivation through melting of middle-aged continental crust in the Dabie Orogenic Belt. The meta-volcanics have weighted mean U-Pb ages from 751.0 ± 16 Ma to 786.3 ± 5.9 Ma, and their protoliths formed under a Middle Neoproterozoic island arc system in the northern Yangtze Block. Myeloid-derived Suppressor Cells Activate liver Natural Killer Cells in a Murine Model in Uveal Melanoma

Objective Elevated myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)in many malignancies are associated with the increased risk for metastases and poor ***,a mouse model of intraocular melanoma was established to explore how MDSCs influence liver *** In this study,murine B16LS melanoma cells were transplanted into the posterior compartment(PC)of the eye of C57BL/6 *** from the liver of naive mice and mice bearing melanoma liver metastasis were isolated using isotonic Percoll centrifugation,examined by flow cytometry for their expression of Gr1,CD11b,F4/80,RAE-1,and Mult-1,and further isolated for MDSCs and natural killer(NK)*** effects of MDSCs on NK cells were tested by coculturing and assessing the ability of NK cells to produce interferon-gamma(IFN-γ)by EliSA and NK cell cytotoxicity by 3H-thymidine incorporation *** impact of IFN-γon liver metastases was examined via selectively depleting IFN-γin *** The results showed that mice with liver metastases had increased levels of CD11b+Gr1+F4/80+as well as CD11b+Gr1+F4/80−*** significantly enhanced the generation of IFN-γtogether with the cytotoxicity of the NK ***,these effects were cell-cell *** IFN-γwas not of a toxic nature to the melanoma cells,it profoundly inhibited B16LS cell *** IFN-γin vivo led to increased liver *** All these findings first revealed that MDSCs accumulated in liver metastasis of intraocular melanoma could activate the NK cells to produce an effective anti-tumor immune ***,the MDSCs’performance in different tumor models would need more investigation to boost current immunotherapy modalities.

The alloy-type material Sb is widely used in the anode materials of lithium-ion batteries(liBs)due to its high theoretical specific ***,its serious volume expansion problem during alloying/dealloying of li~+limits its practical *** this work,C-Sb composite was constructed as anode material of liBs by electrospinning route for the first time,Sb was introduced into the polyacrylonitrile-based hard carbon and coal tar pitch-based soft carbon composite amorphous carbon fiber with a diameter of 300-600 nm,which realized high cycling *** C-Sb-2(the mass ratio of polyacrylonitrile to Sb source is 1:2)electrode displayed charge capacities of 1098.5,930.3,841.7,753.5,643.9 and 545.8 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.1,0.2,0.3,0.5,1 and 2 A·g^(-1),*** when the current density returned to 0.1 A·g^(-1),the charge capacity was 939.3 mAh·g^(-1),revealing good stability and *** introduction of Sb into the amorphous carbon improved its conductivity and addressed the volume expansion issue of high specific capacity Sb during charge/***-situ XRD analysis confirmed the high reversibility of the C-Sb-2 during charging and *** functional theory(DFT)calculations revealed the gradual enhancement of the interface interaction between Sb_(x)li_(y) and amorphous carbon(AMC)with increasing lithium content,contributing to the anchoring of alloy nanoparticles on the AMC surface and buffering the volume change of the ***,the gradual lithiation of Sb facilitated the electron transfer from Sb_(x)li_(y) to *** findings hold promise for designing lithium storage materials with exceptional performance,highlighting the potential of C-Sb composites as anode materials for efficient next-generation lithium storage.

Constructing a 3D multichannel structure to enhance performance of Ni–Co–Mn hydroxide electrodes for flexible supercapacitors

The balancing of the electrochemical performance,mechanical stability,and processing technology for applying supercapacitors to flexible and wearable electronics continues to encounter severe ***,we prepare Ni-Co-Mn hydroxide electrodes with a threedimensional multichannel structure via a simple hydrothermal *** are constructed using vertically contiguous nano sheets with a uniform thickness and rough *** electrodes can provide numerous electroactive sites and accelerate the transmission of electrolyte *** relationship between the structure and electrochemical performances is verified by experiments and theoretical ***-dimensional(2D)planar and one-dimensional(1D)fiber electrodes are prepared using a flexible carbon cloth(CC)and carbon fiber(CF),respectively,as *** assembled quasi-solid-state flexible asymmetric supercapacitor(FASC)with a twodimensional sandwich structure using NiCoMn-OH/CC as the electrode achieves a remarkable energy density of73.8 Wh·kg^(-1)at a power density of 1.03 kW·kg^(-1).The quasi-solid-state FASC with a 1D linear structure using NiCoMn-OH/CF as the electrode also attains a high energy density(12.9 Wh·kg^(-1)at a power density of0.75 W·kg^(-1)).Moreover,the electrochemical performances of the NiCoMn/CC//AC/CC and NiCoMn/CF//AC/CF FASCs are not disturbed at different bending angles(0°,45°,90°,135°and 180°),This indicates the superior flexibility of the *** also assemble a self-powered energy-harvesting storage system by integrating FASCs and commercial solar cells to verify its *** displays sustainable development potential for energy storage.

Stimuli-responsive luminescent materials have attracted significant attention in the development of smart photoactive materials for both fundamental research and technological *** this work,a new copper iodide cluster(1)with aggregationinduced emission(AIE)characteristic,was obtained combining Cu_(4)I_(4) core with rhodamine B derivative ligand.1 has reversible and distinct multi-stimuli-responsive luminescence for external temperature,volatile organic compound,and mechanical ***,1 exhibited unusual large blue shift(84 nm)after being ground,which originated from the change of intermolecular ***,1 exhibits high oxygen quenching efficiency for 82.2% at 1 *** studies showed that the multi-stimuli-responsive luminescence properties of 1 can be attributed to the regulation of cluster-centered luminescence process,metal-to-ligand charge transfer process,halide-to-metal charge transfer luminescence process and aggregationinduced barrier to oxygen *** work not only reports an AIE copper iodide cluster,but also provides a new strategy to develop multi-stimuli-responsive luminescence materials.

Flocking of a Cucker–Smale Type Model with Compactly Supported Interaction Functions

How to analyze flocking behaviors of a multi-agent system with local interaction functions is a challenging problem in *** and Tadmor in 2011 also stressed the significance to assume that the interaction function is rapidly decaying or cut-off at a finite distance(*** and Tadmor in ***.2011).In this paper,we study the flocking behavior of a Cucker–Smale type model with compactly supported interaction *** properties of a connected stochastic matrix,together with an elaborate analysis on perturbations of a linearized system,we obtain a sufficient condition imposed only on model parameters and initial data to guarantee ***,it is shown that the system achieves flocking at an exponential rate.

The post-earthquake emergency period,which is a sensitive time segment just after an event,mainly focuses on saving life and restoring social *** improve the seismic resilience of city road networks,a resilience evaluation method used in the post-earthquake emergency period is *** road seismic damage index of a city road network can consider the influence of roads,bridges and buildings along the roads,*** road capacity after an earthquake.A function index for a city road network is developed,which reflects the connectivity,redundancy,traffic demand and traffic function of the *** optimization model for improving the road repair order in the post-earthquake emergency period is also developed according to the resilience evaluation,to enable decision support for city emergency management and achieve the best seismic resilience of the city road *** optimization model is applied to a city road network and the results illustrate the feasibility of the resilience evaluation and optimization method for a city road network in the post-earthquake emergency period.

Working as aerial base stations,mobile robotic agents can be formed as a wireless robotic network to provide network services for on-ground mobile devices in a target ***,a challenging issue is how to deploy these mobile robotic agents to provide network services with good quality for more users,while considering the mobility of on-ground *** this paper,to solve this issue,we decouple the coverage problem into the vertical dimension and the horizontal dimension without any loss of optimization and introduce the network coverage model with maximum coverage ***,we propose a hybrid deployment algorithm based on the improved quick artificial bee *** algorithm is composed of a centralized deployment algorithm and a distributed *** proposed deployment algorithm deploy a given number of mobile robotic agents to provide network services for the on-ground devices that are independent and identically *** results have demonstrated that the proposed algorithm deploys agents appropriately to cover more ground area and provide better coverage uniformity.

Segmental nature of the Red River fault revealed by seismic anisotropy and geological structures

As the western boundary of the Sichuan-Yunnan block(SYB),the Red River fault(RRF)is a major fault that controls deep crustal movement and deformation in the southeast margin of the Tibetan Plateau and regulates middle-lower crustal *** data suggest that the RRF is segmented and exhibits distinct variations in seismicity,velocity structure and crustal deformation from north to *** anisotropy reveals a complex pattern of lateral spatial and vertical stratified distributions.(1)From the perspective of crustal stratification,in the upper crust,the fast wave polarization in the north segment of the RRF is complex and possibly influenced by the Sanjiang lateral collision zone and adjacent faults with varying *** fast wave polarization in the middle segment is in the NW-SE direction,indicating a localized area of closed down or locked up with consistent *** in the south segment,it presents a disordered pattern,signifying complex deep tectonics and stress conditions at the wedged intersection *** the middle-lower crust in the north and south segments of the RRF,the azimuthal anisotropy is strong and consistent with the spatial strike of the weak zone characterized by low-velocity and *** suggests a connection between the anisotropy and the material migration.(2)In the whole crustal scale,the fast wave directions in two sides of the RRF are consistent with the NW-SE tectonic *** indicates that the RRF,as a large fault potentially cutting through the whole crust,strongly controls the surrounding media.(3)In the lithospheric scale,the fast wave polarizations are oriented nearly E-W and independent of the fault strike,consistent with the low P-and S-wave velocity structures and positive radial anisotropy in the upper *** fast wave directions could be related to lithospheric olivine deformation and asthenospheric *** paper suggests a decoupling of deformation between the crust and the lithospheri

Ocular surface in patients with different degrees of myopia

AIM:To investigate the clinical features of the ocular surface in patients with different degrees of ***:A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 122 participants with myopia in Beijing Tongren Hospital from February to June,*** completing the Ocular Surface Disease Index(OSDI)score scale,measurements were taken for refraction,biometric parameters and ocular surface *** prevalence,severity and related parameters of the dry eye among different groups based on axial length(AL)were *** analysis was performed between ocular surface parameters and refraction/biometric measurement ***:Statistically significant differences were observed in refractive error,corneal thickness,anterior chamber depth,and subfoveal choroidal thickness among the groups(all P<0.05).With the increase in AL,the incidence and severity of dry eye increased significantly(P<0.05).Moreover,the tear film break-up time(BUT)shortened(P<0.05),and the corneal fluorescein staining(CFS)points increased significantly(P<0.05).OSDI scores were positively correlated with AL and spherical equivalent(SE;both P<0.05);BUT was negatively correlated with AL,SE,and corneal astigmatism(AST;all P<0.05);Schirmer I test(SIT)results were negatively correlated with AL and SE(both P<0.05).CONCLUSION:AL elongation is a risk factor for dry eye onset in myopic *** longer the AL,the more severe the dry eye is,with the increased CFS spots and tear film ***,SE and AST exhibit negative correlations with dry eye symptom scores and ocular surface parameters.
