Phthalate esters(PAEs),recognized as endocrine disruptors,are released into the environment during usage,thereby exerting adverse ecological *** study investigates the occurrence,sources,and risk assessment of PAEs in surface water obtained from 36 sampling points within the Yellow River and Yangtze River *** total concentration of PAEs in the Yellow River spans from124.5 to 836.5 ng/L,with Dimethyl phthalate(DMP)(75.4±102.7 ng/L)and Diisobutyl phthalate(DiBP)(263.4±103.1 ng/L)emerging as the predominant *** exhibit a pattern of upstream(512.9±202.1 ng/L)>midstream(344.5±135.3 ng/L)>downstream(177.8±46.7 ng/L).In the Yangtze River,the total concentration ranges from 81.9 to 441.6 ng/L,with DMP(46.1±23.4 ng/L),Diethyl phthalate(DEP)(93.3±45.2 ng/L),and DiBP(174.2±67.6 ng/L)as the primary *** levels follow a midstream(324.8±107.3 ng/L)>upstream(200.8±51.8 ng/L)>downstream(165.8±71.6 ng/L)*** should be directed towards the moderate ecological risks of DiBP in the upstream of HH,and both the upstream and midstream of CJ need consideration for the moderate ecological risks associated with Di-n-octyl phthalate(DNOP).Conversely,in other regions,the associated risk with PAEs is either low or *** main source of PAEs in Yellow River is attributed to the release of construction land,while in the Yangtze River Basin,it stems from the accumulation of pollutants in lakes and forests discharged into the *** findings are instrumental for pinpointing sources of PAEs pollution and formulating control strategies in the Yellow and Yangtze Rivers,providing valuable insights for global PAEs research in other major rivers.

Background： Dendritic cells are professional antigen-presenting cells found in an immature state in epithelia and interstitial space, where they capture antigens such as pathogens or damaged tissue. Matrix metallopeptidase 13 （MMP- 13）, a member of the collagenase subfamily, is involved in many different cellular processes and is expressed in murine bone marrow-derived dendritic cells （DCs）. The function of MMP-13 in DCs is not well understood. Here, we investigated the effect of MMP-13 on DC maturation, apoptosis, and phagocytosis. Methods： Bone marrow-derived dendritic cells were obtained fiom C57BL/6 mice. One short-interfering RNA specific for MMP- 13 was used to transfect DCs. MMP-13-silenced DCs and control DCs were prepared, and apoptosis was measured using real-time polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting. MMP-13-silenced DCs and control DCs were analyzed for surface expression of CD80 and CD86 and phagocytosis capability using flow cytometry. Results： Compared to the control DCs, MMP- 13-silenced DCs increased expression of anti-apoptosis-related genes, BAGl （control group vs. MMP-13-silenced group： 4.08 ± 0.60 vs. 6.11 ± 0.87, P = 0.008）, BCL-2 （control group vs. MMP-13-silenced group： 7.54 ± 0.76 vs. 9.54 ± 1.29, P = 0.036）, and TP73 （control group vs. MMP- 13-silenced group： 4.33 ± 0.29 vs. 5.60 ±0.32, P = 0.001 ） and decreased apoptosis-related genes, CASPI （control group vs. MMP- 13-silenced group： 3.79±0.67 vs. 2.54±0.39, P - 0.019）, LTBR （control group vs. MMP- 13-silenced group： 9.23 ±1.25 vs. 6.24 ± 1.15, P = 0.012）, and CASP4 （control group vs. MMP-13-silenced group： 2.07 ± 0.56 vs. 0.35 ±0.35, P = 0.002）. Protein levels confirmed the same expression pattern. MMP- 13-silenced groups decreased expression of CD86 on DCs; however, there was no statistical difference in CD80 surface expression. Background Based on the hypothesis that pulmonary vein isolation could result in the damage of the epicardial fat pads, this study aimed to investigated the impact of right upper pulmonary vein （RUPV） isolation on vagal innervation to atria. Methods Bilateral cervical sympathovagal trunks were decentralized in 6 dogs. Metoprolol was given to block sympathetic effects. Multipolar catheters were placed into the right atrium （R.A） and coronary sinus （CS）. RUPV isolation was performed via transseptal procedure. Atrial effective refractory period （ERP）, vulnerability window （VW） of atrial fibrillation （AF）, and sinus rhythm cycle length （SCL） were measured at RA and distal coronary sinus （CSd） at baseline and vagal stimulation before and after RUPV isolation. Serial sections of underlying tissues before and after ablation were stained with haematoxylin and eosin. Results SCL decreased significantly during vagal stimulation before RUPV isolation （197±21 vs 13±32 beats per minute, P〈0.001）, but remained unchanged after RUPV isolation （162±29 vs 140±39 beats per minute, P〉0.05）. ERP increased significantly before RUPV isolation compared with that during vagal stimulation [（85.00±24.29） ms vs （21.67±9.83） ms at RA, P〈0.001; （90.00± 15.49） ms vs （33.33±25.03） ms at CSd P〈0.005], but ERP at baseline hardly changed after RUPV isolation compared with that during vagal stimulation [（103.33 ± 22.50） vs （95.00± 16.43） ms at RA, P = 0.09; （98.33±24.83） vs （75.00±29.50） ms at CSd, P=0.009]. The ERP shortening during vagal stimulation after RUPV isolation decreased significantly [（63.33 ±22.51） ms vs （8.33 ± 9.83） ms at RA, P〈0.005; （56.67±20.66） ms vs （23.33± 13.66） ms at CSd, P〈0.05]. AF was rarely induced at baseline before and after RUPV isolation （VW close to 0）, while VW of AF to vagal stimulation significantly decreased after RUPV isolation [（40.00± 10.95） vs 0 ms at RA, P〈0.001; （45.00±32.09） vs （15.00±23.45） ms at CS, P 〈0.05].
