Alloy-type materials with the characteristics of high theoretical capacity,low sodiation/desodiation potential,and good conductivity are considered as one of the most promising anodes for sodium-ion batteries or ***,the large volume change during the sodiation leads to poor cyclability and slow kinetics,thus presenting the main issue impeding the practical ***,we propose a facile wet chemistry and pyrolysis method to synthesize Sb-carbon composite that Sb nanoparticles or single atoms are confined and/or dispersed in the wrinkled carbon framework with high nitrogen *** unique architecture of Sb-carbon composite increases atomic interface contact/interaction with Na~+,facilitating ion diffusion and alleviating the volume change of Sb during the charge/discharge ***-cell test shows that Sb-carbon composite exhibits a high-rate capability and stable cycling ***,sodium-ion capacitors fabricated by employing Sb-carbon composite as anode and home-made active carbon as cathode,deliver both high-energy density of 157 Wh·kg^(-1)and high-power density of 25 kW·kg^(-1)as well as excellent cycling performance exceeding 4000 cycles.

Association of higher resistin levels with inflammatory activation and endothelial dysfunction in patients with essential hypertension

Background Some studies have shown that serum resistin levels increase in hypertensive patients. Whether the increase of resistin is related to inflammatory or vascular endothelial function is still unknown. We investigated the relationship of increased resistin levels to inflammatory factors and circulating biomarkers of vascular endothelial function in hypertensive patients. Methods One hundred and forty-four nondiabetic patients with new onset, hypertension were recruited. Blood pressure, blood glucose, insulin, resistin, tumour necrosis factor-a （TNF-a）, interleukin-6 （IL-6）, von Willebrand factor （vWF）, endothelin-1 （ET-1） and nitric oxide （NO） were measured. The homeostasis model assessment, insulin resistance index （HOMA-IR） was calculated. Patients were divided into two groups according to the median level of resistin. Cytokine levels and indicators of vascular endothelial function were compared. Multiple linear regression was used to determine factors influencing resistin. Results Serum resistin ranged from 2.57 ng/ml to 20.18 ng/ml in hypertensive patients. High resistin group （〉8.36 ng/ml） had higher levels of TNF-a, IL-6, vWF and ET-1 but lower level of NO compared with low resistin group （P 〈0.01）. Resistin was positively correlated with body mass index, systolic blood pressure, HOMA-IR, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, TNF-a and ET-1 but negatively correlated with NO （all P 〈0.05）. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that HOMA-IR, TNF-a, NO and ET-1 are independent predictors of resistin with standardized regression coefficients of 0.625, 0.368, -0.260 and 0.222, respectively （all P 〈0.01）. Conclusions We conclude that higher resistin levels are associated with inflammatory activation and endothelial dysfunction, because patients with essential hypertension have increased TNF-a, IL-6, vWF and ET-1 and decreased NO. Moreover, the statistical association of resistin with TNF-a, NO and ET-1 suggests involvement of resistin in the progression

Objective: To examine the effectiveness of Chinese medicine(CM) Lianhua Qingwen Granule(LHQW) and Jingyin Gubiao Prescription(JYGB) in asymptomatic or mild patients with Omicron infection in the shelter hospital. Methods: This single-center retrospective cohort study was conducted in the largest shelter hospital in Shanghai, China, from April 10, 2022 to May 30, 2022. A total of 56,244 asymptomatic and mild Omicron cases were included and divided into 4 groups, i.e., non-administration group(23,702 cases), LHQW group(11,576 cases), JYGB group(12,112 cases), and dual combination of LHQW and JYGB group(8,854 cases). The length of stay(LOS) in the hospital was used to assess the effectiveness of LHQW and JYGB treatment on Omicron infection. Results: Patients aged 41–60 years, with nadir cycle threshold(CT) value of N gene <25, or those fully vaccinated preferred to receive CM therapy. Before or after propensity score matching(PSM), the multiple linear regression showed that LHQW and JYGB treatment were independent influence factors of LOS(both P<0.001). After PSM, there were significant differences in LOS between the LHQW/JYGB combination and the other groups(P<0.01). The results of factorial design ANOVA proved that the LHQW/JYGB combination therapy synergistically shortened LOS(P=0.032). Conclusions: Patients with a nadir CT value <25were more likely to accept CM. The LHQW/JYGB combination therapy could shorten the LOS of Omicron-infected individuals in an isolated environment.

GPIO-Based Continuous Sliding Mode Control for Networked Control Systems Under Communication Delays With Experiments on Servo Motors

To handle input and output time delays that commonly exist in many networked control systems(NCSs), a new robust continuous sliding mode control(CSMC) scheme is proposed for the output tracking in uncertain single input-single-output(SISO) networked control systems. This scheme consists of three consecutive steps. First, although the network-induced delay in those systems can be effectively handled by using Pade approximation(PA), the unmatched disturbance cames out as another difficulty in the control design. Second, to actively estimate this unmatched disturbance, a generalized proportional integral observer(GPIO) technique is utilized based on only one measured state. Third, by constructing a new sliding manifold with the aid of the estimated unmatched disturbance and states, a GPIO-based CSMC is synthesized, which is employed to cope with not only matched and unmatched disturbances, but also networkinduced delays. The stability of the entire closed-loop system under the proposed GPIO-based CSMC is detailedly *** promising tracking efficiency and feasibility of the proposed control methodology are verified through simulations and experiments on Quanser's servo module for motion control under various test conditions.

The fixed-setting face-milled curvilinear cylindrical gear features teeth that are arc-shaped along the longitudinal *** researchers hypothesize that this arc-tooth may enhance the lubrication conditions of the *** study focuses on this type of gear,employing both finite element analysis(FEA)and analytical methods to determine the input parameters required for elastohydrodynamic lubrication(EHL)*** effects of assembly errors,tooth surface modifications,load,and face-milling cutter radius on the lubrication performance of these gears are systematically *** finite element model(FEM)of the gear pair is utilized to calculate the coordinates of contact points on the tooth surface and the corresponding contact pressures at the tooth surface nodes throughout a meshing ***,the normal load on specific gear teeth is determined using a gradient-based *** speed,slip-to-roll ratio,and effective radius near the contact points on the tooth surface are derived through analytical *** data obtained from FEA serve as input parameters for EHL *** lubrication performance of the curvilinear cylindrical gear is evaluated through example *** findings indicate that using FEA to provide input parameters for EHL simulations can reveal the occurrence of edge contact phenomena during gear meshing,allowing for a more accurate representation of the gear’s lubrication *** lubrication performance of the curvilinear cylindrical gear is shown to be independent of the face-milling cutter radius but is significantly influenced by the size of the contact pattern on the tooth *** gears with larger contact patterns demonstrate superior lubrication performance.

This paper develops fuzzy Hfilter for state estimation approach for nonlinear discrete- time systems with multiple time delays and unknown bounded *** design a stable fuzzy Hfilter based on the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model,which assures asymptotic stability and a prescribed Hindex for the filtering error *** condition for the existence of such a filter is established by solving the linear matrix inequality (LMI) *** LMI problem can be efficiently solved with global convergence using the interior point *** examples are provided to illustrate the design procedure of the proposed method.

Exo-atmospheric vehicles are constrained by limited maneuverability,which leads to the contradiction between evasive maneuver and precision *** address the problem of Integrated Evasion and Impact(IEI)decision under multi-constraint conditions,a hierarchical intelligent decision-making method based on Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)was ***,an intelligent decision-making framework of“DRL evasion decision”+“impact prediction guidance decision”was established:it takes the impact point deviation correction ability as the constraint and the maximum miss distance as the objective,and effectively solves the problem of poor decisionmaking effect caused by the large IEI decision ***,to solve the sparse reward problem faced by evasion decision-making,a hierarchical decision-making method consisting of maneuver timing decision and maneuver duration decision was proposed,and the corresponding Markov Decision Process(MDP)was designed.A detailed simulation experiment was designed to analyze the advantages and computational complexity of the proposed *** results show that the proposed model has good performance and low computational resource *** minimum miss distance is 21.3 m under the condition of guaranteeing the impact point accuracy,and the single decision-making time is 4.086 ms on an STM32F407 single-chip microcomputer,which has engineering application value.

Background Imiquimod is an imidazoquinoline, which class of compounds are known to have antiviral and antitumoural properties. In recent studies, it was shown that imiquimod modulates the T helper cell type Th1/Th2 response by inducing the production of Thl cytokines like IFN-γ, and by inhibiting the Th2 cytokines like interleukin （IL）-4. Several investigators have shown that T-bet and GATA-3 are master Thl and Th2 regulatory transcription factors. This study investigated whether irniquimod treatment inhibited airway inflammation by modulating transcription factors T-bet and GATA-3. Methods Thirty-six male SD rats were randomly divided into a control group, an asthmatic group, and an imiquimod group, which was exposed to an aerosol of 0.15% imiquimod. Twenty-four hours after the last ovalbumin （OVA） challenge, airway responsiveness was measured and changes in airway histology were observed. The concentrations of IL-4, IL-5 and IFN-γ in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid （BALF） and serum were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）. The rnRNA expressions of IL-4, IL-5, IFN-γ, T-bet and GATA-3 in lung and in CD4^＋ T cells were determined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR）. The protein expressions ofT-bet and GATA-3 were measured by Western blot. Results It was demonstrated that imiquimod 1） attenuated OVA induced airway inflammation; 2） diminished the degree of airway hyperresponsiveness （AHR）; 3） decreased the Th2 type cytokines and increased Thl type cytokines mRNA and protein levels; 4） modulated the Th1/Th2 reaction by inhibiting GATA-3 production and increasing T-bet production. Conclusion Imiquimod treatment inhibits OVA induced airway inflammation by modulating key master switches GATA-3 and T-bet that result in committing T helper cells to a Thl phenotype.

B2-CuZr phase reinforced amorphous alloy matrix composites has become one of the research hotspots in the field of materials science due to the“transformation-induced plasticity”phenomenon,which makes the composites show better macroscopic plastic deformability and obvious work-hardening behavior compared to the conventional amorphous alloy matrix composites reinforced with ductile ***,the in-situ metastable B2-CuZr phase tends to undergo eutectoid decomposition during solidification,and the volume fraction,size,and distribution of B2-CuZr phase are difficult to control,which limits the development and application of these *** date,much efforts have been made to solve the above problems through composition optimization,casting parameter tailoring,and post-processing *** this study,a review was given based on relevant studies,focusing on the predictive approach,reinforcing mechanism,and microstructure tailoring methods of B2-CuZr phase reinforced amorphous alloy matrix *** research focus and future prospects were also given for the future development of the present composite system.
