Background： White matter lesions （WMLs） are common findings in brain magnetic resonance imaging （MRI） and are strongly associated with stroke incidence, recurrence, and prognosis. However, the relationship between WMLs and transient ischemic attacks （TIAs） is not well established. This study aimed to determine the clinical significance of WMLs in patients with TIA. Methods： A total of 181 consecutive inpatients with first-ever TIA were enrolled. Brain MRls within 2 days of symptom onset were used to measure WML volumes. Recurrent vascular events within 1 year of TIA onset were assessed. The relationship between WMLs and recurrent risk of vascular events was determined by a multivariate logistic regression. Results： WMLs were identified in 104 patients （57.5%）. Age and ratio of hypertension were significantly different between patients with and without WMLs. The incidence of vascular events in patients with WMLs significantly increased in comparison to those without WMLs （21.15% vs. 5.19%, 95% confidence interval [CI]： 1.18-[ 5.20, P = 0.027） after controlling for cont／~unders. Furthermore, distributions of WML loads were found to be different between patients who developed vascular events and those who did not. WML volumes were demonstrated to be correlated with recurrent risks, and the fourth quartile of WML volumes led to an 8.5-fold elevation of recurrent risk of vascular events compared with the first quartile （95% CI： 1.52-47.65, P = 0.015） alier adjusting for hyperlipidemia. Conclusion： WMLs occur frequently in patients with T1A and are associated wiila the high risk of recurrent vascular events, suggesting a predictive neuroimaging marker for TIA outcomes.

0 INTRODUCTION Landslide is one of the most common and serious natural disasters in the world,which causes great damage to social development and people's life and property safety(wei et al.,2024;Froude and Petley,2018).Landslides are responsible for an average of thousands of deaths and billions of economic losses annually(Dai et al.,2023).The study of landslide geomorphology plays a crucial role in many aspects such as landslide formation mechanisms,dynamic process,and prevention and control(Hou et al.,2024;Wang et al.,2024),and provides scientific support for infrastructure construction,road route selection,and urban land planning(Vargas-Cuervo et al.,2024;Laimer,2017).Therefore,it is essential to gain a better understanding of those roles and to further contribute to disaster prevention and reduction.

Giant tunneling magnetoresistance(TMR)has always been a pursuit in the research of magnetic tunnel junctions(MTJ).Two-dimensional(2D)magnetic materials have been used to construct lateral MTJ with high *** we investigated the crystal structure and magnetic property of CrSI monolayer,and found that it is a ferromagnetic semiconductor with a Curie temperature of about 180 *** CrSI monolayer with Li adsorption(Li-CrSI)show ferromagnetic half-metallic with a high Curie temperature of 300 *** we designed a lateral Li CrSI/CrSI/Li-CrSI monolayer *** TMR of the MTJs along b transport direction is 3 orders of magnitude times larger than that of the a transport direction,which should result from the different spin filtering ability along the two *** TMR of b transport direction in the MTJ is 7.67×10^(14),which is significantly higher than that of any reported lateral MTJs based on 2D *** results provide a promising avenue for designing lateral MTJs with giant TMR and high Curie temperature.

Loss of synapse and functional connectivity in brain circuits is associated with aging and neurodegeneration,however,few molecular mechanisms are known to intrinsically promote synaptogenesis or enhance synapse *** have previously shown that MET receptor tyrosine kinase in the developing cortical circuits promotes dendritic growth and dendritic spine *** investigate whether enhancing MET in adult cortex has synapse regenerating potential,we created a knockin mouse line,in which the human MET gene expression and signaling can be turned on in adult(10–12 months)cortical neurons through doxycycline-containing *** found that similar to the developing brain,turning on MET signaling in the adult cortex activates small GTPases and increases spine density in prefrontal projection *** findings are further corroborated by increased synaptic activity and transient generation of immature silent *** MET signaling resulted in an increasedα-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid/N-methyl-Daspartate(AMPA/NMDA)receptor current ratio,indicative of enhanced synaptic function and *** data reveal that enhancing MET signaling could be an interventional approach to promote synaptogenesis and preserve functional connectivity in the adult *** findings may have implications for regenerative therapy in aging and neurodegeneration conditions.

Battery safety is influenced by various factors,with thermal runaway being one of the most significant *** most studies have concentrated on developing one-time,self-activating mechanism for thermal protection,such as temperature-responsive electrodes,and thermal-shutdown separators,these methods only provide irreversible ***,reversible temperature-sensitive electrolytes have emerged as promising alternatives,offering both thermo-reversibility and self-protective ***,further research is crucial to fully understand these thermal-shutdown *** this study,we propose lower critical solution temperature(LCST) phase behavior poly(benzyl methacrylate)/imidazolium-based ionic liquid mixtures to prepare temperature-sensitive electrolytes that provide reversible thermal shutdown protection of *** electrolyte features an appropriate protection temperature(～105℃) and responds quickly within a 1 min at 105℃,causing cells to hardly discharge as the voltage suddenly drops to 3.38 V,and providing efficient thermal shutdown protection within 30 *** cooling back to room temperature,the battery regains its original ***,the electrolyte exhibits excellent cycling stability with the capacity retention of the battery is 91.6% after 500 *** work provides a viable solution for preventing batteries from thermal runaway triggered by overheating.

The expandable graphite(EG)modified TiO_(2) nanocomposites were prepared by the high shearmethod using the TiO_(2) nanoparticles(NPs)and EG as precursors,in which the amount of EG doped in TiO_(2) was 10 wt.%.Followed by the impregnation method,adjusting the pH of the solution to 10,and using the electrostatic adsorption to achieve spatial confinement,the Pt elementswere mainly distributed on the exposed TiO_(2),thus generating the Pt/10EG-TiO_(2)-10 *** best CO oxidation activity with the excellent resistance to H_(2)O and SO_(2) was obtained over the Pt/10EG-TiO_(2)-10 catalyst:CO conversion after 36 hr of the reaction was ca.85%under the harsh condition of 10 vol.%H_(2)O and 100 ppm SO_(2) at a high gaseous hourly space velocity(GHSV)of 400,000 hr−*** properties of the catalystswere characterized by various *** results showed that the electrostatic adsorption,which riveted the Pt elements mainly on the exposed TiO_(2) of the support surface,reduced the dispersion of Pt NPs on EG and achieved the effective dispersion of Pt NPs,hence significantly improving CO oxidation activity over the Pt/10EG-TiO_(2)-10 *** 10 wt.%EG doped in TiO_(2) caused the TiO_(2) support to form a more hydrophobic surface,which reduced the adsorption of H_(2)O and SO_(2) on the catalyst,greatly inhibited deposition of the TiOSO4 and formation of the PtSO4 species as well as suppressed the oxidation of SO_(2),thus resulting in an improvement in the resistance to H_(2)O and SO_(2) of the Pt/10EG-TiO_(2)-10 catalyst.

Rubble deposits with a high concentration of rock debris were created after the powerful earthquakes in *** of the restricted soil resources,water leaks,and nutrient deficits,these deposits pose serious obstacles for vegetation *** purpose of this study was to investigate the main mechanisms controlling soil water retention and evaluate the effects of different amendments on the hydraulic characteristics and water-holding capacity of collapsed rubble *** soil,forest humus,crushed straw,and organic components that retain water were added to the altered soils to study the pore structure images and soil-water characteristic *** understory humus to other supplements,the results showed a considerable increase in the soil's saturated and wilting water *** saturated water content and wilting water content rose by 17.9%and 4.3%,respectively,when the percentage of understory soil reached 30%.Additionally,the enhanced soil's microporosity and total pore volume increased by 45.33%and 11.27%,respectively,according to nuclear magnetic *** was shown that while clay particles and organic matter improved the soil's ability to adsorb water,they also increased the soil's total capacity to store *** particulate matter did this by decreasing macropores and increasing capillary *** results offer an essential starting point for creating strategies for soil repair that would encourage the restoration of plants on slopes that have been damaged.
