Transverse momentum balance of dijets in Xe+Xe collisions at the LHC

We present a theoretical study of the medium modifications of the Pr balance(xJ)of dijets in Xe+Xe cllions at√SNN=5.44 *** initial production of dijets was carried out using the POWHEG+PYTHLA8 prescription,which matches the next-to-leading-order(NLO)QCD matrix elements with the parton shower(PS)*** SHELL model described the in-medium evolution of nucleus-nucleus collisions using a transport *** theoretical results of the dijet xJ in the Xe+Xe collisions exhibit more imbalanced distributions than those in thep+p collisions,consistent with recently reported ATLAS *** utilizing the Interleaved Flavor Neutralisation,an infrared-and-collinear-safe jet flavor algorithm,to identify the flavor of the reconstructed jets,we classify dijets processes into three categories:glucn-gluon(gg),quark-gluon(qg),and quark-quark(qq),and investigated the respective medium modification *** fraction changes of the 9g,qg,and qq components of the dijet sample in Xe+Xe *** is shown that the increased fraction of qg component at a small xJ contributes to the imbalanceof the dijet;in particular,the 9192(quark-jet-leading)dijets experience more significant asymmetric energy loss than the 9192(gluon-jet-leading)dijets traversing *** comparing the O(xz)=(x)pp-(xJ)AA ofincdusive,cc and b6 dijets in Xe+Xe cllions,we observe△(xj)inal.>△(xj)cε>△(xj)***,Pxe,Pb,the ratios of the nuclear modification factors of dijets in Xe+Xe to those in Pb+Pb,were calculated,which indicates that the yield suppression of dijets in Pb+Pb is more pronounced than that in Xe+Xe owing to the larger radius of the lead nucleus.

Study on vibration reduction of two-scale system coupled with dynamic vibration absorber

The dynamic vibration absorber with inerter and grounded stiffness(IGDVA) is used to control a two-scale system subject to a weak periodic perturbation. The vibration suppression effect is remarkable. The amplitude of the main system coupled with absorber is significantly reduced, and the high frequency vibration completely ***, through the slow-fast analysis and stability theory, it is found that the stability of the autonomous system exerts a notable regulating effect on the vibration response of the non-autonomous system. After adding the dynamic vibrator absorber, the center in the autonomous system changes to an asymptotically stable focus, consequently suppressing the vibration in the non-autonomous system. Further research reveals that the parameters of the absorber affect the real parts of the eigenvalues of the autonomous system, thereby regulating the stability of the system. Transitioning from a qualitative standpoint to a quantitative approach, a comparison of the solutions before and after the introduction of the dynamic absorber reveals that, when the grounded stiffness ratio and the mass ratio of the dynamic absorber are not equal, the high-frequency part in the analytical solution disappears. As a result, this leads to a reduction in the amplitude of the trajectory,achieving a vibration reduction effect.

Quantum support vector machine for multi classification

Classical machine learning algorithms seem to be totally incapable of processing tremendous data, while quantum machine learning algorithms could deal with big data unhurriedly and provide exponential acceleration over classical counterparts. In this paper, we propose two quantum support vector machine algorithms for multi classification. One is the quantum version of the directed acyclic graph support vector machine. The other one is to use the Grover search algorithm before measurement, which amplifies the amplitude of the phase storing of the classification result. For k classification, the former provides quadratic reduction in computational complexity when classifying. The latter accelerates the training speed significantly and more importantly, the classification result can be read out with a probability of at least 50% using only one measurement. We conduct numerical simulations on two algorithms,and their classification success rates are 96% and 88.7%, respectively.

A Low Cost, Green Sustainable and Biodegradable Biomass-based Fluorine-free Water and Oil Repellent

With the global ban on plastics intensifying, the substitution of plastic with paper has garnered increasing attention. However, the inadequate water and oil repellency of pulp molding hinders its practical applications. Currently, the common method to enhance the oil and water repellency of pulp molding is by adding fluorinated water and oil repellents. Nevertheless, fluorinated compounds are environmentally and physiologically harmful. Therefore, the development of fluorine-free, water and oil repellent alternatives is crucial. In this study, chitosan and stearic acid were utilized as the first and second layers of the oil and water repellent coatings, respectively. The coated samples exhibited favorable water repellency, with a water contact angle of 116.4°, and excellent oil repellency, achieving a 12/12 rating on the kit scale. Importantly, the samples did not exhibit any leakage after being soaked in hot water and hot oil at 95±5℃ for 30 min, demonstrating remarkable performance as a barrier against hot water and oil. Moreover, the coated samples displayed outstanding mechanical properties, thermal stability, biodegradability, and recyclability. The approach presented in this study is simple, cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and represents a promising technique for producing fluoride-free, oil-and water-resistant pulp molding products.

Exploring the Spatiotemporal Changes and Driving Forces of Ecosystem Services of Zhejiang Coasts,China,Under Sustainable Development Goals

Ecosystem services(ESs)refer to the continuous provisioning of ecosystem goods and services that benefit human *** recent decades,rapid urbanization has exerted significant pressure on coastal ecosystems,resulting in biodiversity and habitat loss,environmental pollution,and the depletion of natural *** response to these environmental challenges,the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)were *** the pressing need to address these issues,understanding the changes in ESs under the SDGs is crucial for formulating specific ecological *** this study,we first analyzed land use and cover change in the Zhejiang coasts of China during 2000–***,we investigated the spatiotemporal configuration of ESs by integrating carbon storage(CS),soil retention(SR),habitat quality(HQ)and water yield(WY)using the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs(InVEST)*** driving mechanisms of ESs,which varied by space and time,were also explored using the Geo-detector *** results revealed that,over the past two decades:1)the Zhejiang coasts have experienced a significant increase of 2783.72 km^(2) in built-up land areas and a continuous decrease in farmland areas due to rapid urbanization;2)owing to higher precipitation,extensive vegetation cover,and reduced anthropogenic disturbances,forests emerge as a crucial land use type for maintaining ecosystem services such as HQ,CS,WY,and SR;3)ESs have generally declined across the entire Zhejiang coasts,with a significant decrease observed in the northern areas and an increase in the southern areas spatially;4)the expansion of built-up land areas emerged as the primary factor affecting ecosystem services,while the vegetation factor has been increasingly significant and is expected to become predominant in the near *** study provides insights of understanding of ecosystem service theory and emphasizing the importance of preserving biodiversity for long-term sustainable development

Design of High Performance MXene/Oxide Structure Memristors for Image Recognition Applications

Recent popularity to realize image recognition by memristor-based neural network hardware systems has been witnessed owing to their similarities to neurons and ***,the stochastic formation of conductive filaments inside the oxide memristor devices inevitably makes them face some drawbacks,represented by relatively higher power consumption and severer resistance switching *** this work,we design and fabricate the Ag/MXene（Ti3C2）/SiO2/Pt memristor after considering the stronger interactions between Ti3C2and Ag ions,which lead to a Ti3C2/SiO2structure memristor owning to much lower "SET" voltage and smaller resistance switching fluctuation than pure ***,the conductances of the Ag/Ti3C2/SiO2/Pt memristor have been modulated by changing the number of the applied programming pulse,and two typical biological behaviors,i.e.,longterm potentiation and long-term depression,have been ***,device conductances are introduced into an integrated device-to-algorithm framework as synaptic weights,by which the MNIST hand-written digits are recognized with accuracy up to 77.39%.

This paper presents an attempt at assimilating clear-sky FY-4A Advanced Geosynchronous Radiation Imager(AGRI)radiances from two water vapor channels for the prediction of three landfalling typhoon events over the West Pacific Ocean using the 3DVar data assimilation(DA)method along with the WRF model.A channel-sensitive cloud detection scheme based on the particle filter(PF)algorithm is developed and examined against a cloud detection scheme using the multivariate and minimum residual(MMR)algorithm and another traditional cloud mask–dependent cloud detection *** show that both channel-sensitive cloud detection schemes are effective,while the PF scheme is able to reserve more pixels than the MMR scheme for the same *** general,the added value of AGRI radiances is confirmed when comparing with the control experiment without AGRI ***,it is found that the analysis fields of the PF experiment are mostly improved in terms of better depicting the typhoon,including the temperature,moisture,and dynamical *** typhoon track forecast skill is improved with AGRI radiance DA,which could be explained by better simulating the upper *** impact of assimilating AGRI radiances on typhoon intensity forecasts is *** the other hand,improved rainfall forecasts from AGRI DA experiments are found along with reduced errors for both the thermodynamic and moisture fields,albeit the improvements are limited.

Impact of transcranial electrical stimulation on serum neurotrophic factors and language function in patients with speech disorders

BACKGROUND Speech disorders have a substantial impact on communication abilities and quality of *** treatments such as speech and psychological therapies frequently demonstrate limited effectiveness and patient *** electrical stimulation(TES)has emerged as a promising non-invasive treatment to improve neurological ***,its effectiveness in enhancing language functions and serum neurofactor levels in individuals with speech disorders requires further *** To investigate the impact of TES in conjunction with standard therapies on serum neurotrophic factor levels and language function in patients with speech *** In a controlled study spanning from March 2019 to November 2021,81 patients with speech disorders were divided into a control group(n=40)receiving standard speech stimulation and psychological intervention,and an observation group(n=41)receiving additional *** study assessed serum levels of ciliary neurotrophic factor(CNTF),glial cell-derived neurotrophic factor(GDNF),brainderived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),and nerve growth factor(NGF),as well as evaluations of motor function,language function,and development quotient *** After 3 wk of intervention,the observation group exhibited significantly higher serum levels of CNTF,GDNF,BDNF,and NGF compared to the control ***,improvements were noted in motor function,cognitive function,language skills,physical abilities,and overall development quotient *** is worth mentioning that the observation group also displayed superior perfor CONCLUSION This retrospective study concluded that TES combined with traditional speech and psychotherapy can effectively increase the levels of neurokines in the blood and enhance language function in patients with speech *** results provide a promising avenue for integrating TES into standard treatment methods for speech disorders.

Prediction model for the initial seed clearing angles of a precision seed meter based on vector fields

Seed clearing is a critical stage during precision seed metering process to ensure high seed ***,there is a lack of understanding of the dynamics in the seed clearing *** this study,a model was developed to predict initial seed clearing angle,in the seed clearing process using vector *** model was applied to an existing high-speed metering device and soybean seeds,and the model was evaluated with bench testing *** showed that dynamic changes in forces and constraints of seeds during the seed clearing process could be abstracted as vectors,and the changes of vector directions could be described by their phase *** phase angles were functions of the rotational angle of the seed *** phase angle of the constraint boundary linearly increases with the increase of the rotational *** phase angle of the force fluctuates,as the rotational angle *** seed clearing angle obtained from the phase angles varies from 8°to 59°,depending on the seeder travel *** comparing the values of the initial seed clearing angles predicted by the model with those from the bench tests,the root mean square error(RMSE)were from 2.73 to 3.14,and the correlation(r)between predict and observer were all higher than 0.98,indicating that the model had reasonably good accuracy.

Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Undular Tidal Bores in the Qiantang River Based on Field Observations

Understanding the undular tidal bores in the Qiantang River is essential for effective river management and *** breaking tidal bores have been studied extensively, reports on undular tidal bores in the Qiantang Riverremain limited. Furthermore, observed data on undular tidal bores fulfilling the requirements of short measurementtime intervals, and spring, medium, and neap tide coverage, and providing detailed data for the global vertical stratificationof flow velocity are quite limited. Based on field observations at Qige in the Qiantang estuary, we analyzedthe characteristics of undular tidal bores. The results showed that the flooding amplitude (a) of the first wave isalways larger than its ebbing amplitude (b). Moreover, the vertical distribution of the maximum flood velocity exhibitesthree shapes, influenced by the tidal range, while that of the maximum ebb velocity exhibites a single shape. Duringthe initial phase of the flood tide in the spring and medium tides, the upper water body experiences multiple oscillatingchanges along the flow direction, corresponding to the alternating process of the crest and trough of the tide levelupon the arrival of the tidal bore. The tidal range is a crucial parameter in tidal bore hydrodynamics. By establishingthe relationship between hydrodynamic parameters and tidal range, other hydrodynamic parameters, such as the tidalbore height, maximum flood depth–averaged velocity, maximum flood stratified velocity at the measurement points,and duration of the flood tide current, can be effectively predicted, thereby providing an important reference for rivermanagement and maintenance.
