Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Undular Tidal Bores in the Qiantang River Based on Field Observations

Understanding the undular tidal bores in the Qiantang River is essential for effective river management and *** breaking tidal bores have been studied extensively, reports on undular tidal bores in the Qiantang Riverremain limited. Furthermore, observed data on undular tidal bores fulfilling the requirements of short measurementtime intervals, and spring, medium, and neap tide coverage, and providing detailed data for the global vertical stratificationof flow velocity are quite limited. Based on field observations at Qige in the Qiantang estuary, we analyzedthe characteristics of undular tidal bores. The results showed that the flooding amplitude (a) of the first wave isalways larger than its ebbing amplitude (b). Moreover, the vertical distribution of the maximum flood velocity exhibitesthree shapes, influenced by the tidal range, while that of the maximum ebb velocity exhibites a single shape. Duringthe initial phase of the flood tide in the spring and medium tides, the upper water body experiences multiple oscillatingchanges along the flow direction, corresponding to the alternating process of the crest and trough of the tide levelupon the arrival of the tidal bore. The tidal range is a crucial parameter in tidal bore hydrodynamics. By establishingthe relationship between hydrodynamic parameters and tidal range, other hydrodynamic parameters, such as the tidalbore height, maximum flood depth–averaged velocity, maximum flood stratified velocity at the measurement points,and duration of the flood tide current, can be effectively predicted, thereby providing an important reference for rivermanagement and maintenance.

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a common malignant tumor,and liver metastasis is one of the main recurrence and metastasis modes that seriously affect patients’survival rate and quality of *** such as albumin bilirubin(ALBI)score,liver function index,and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)have shown some potential in the prediction of liver metastasis but have not been fully *** To evaluate its predictive value for liver metastasis of CRC by conducting the combined analysis of ALBI,liver function index,and CEA,and to provide a more accurate liver metastasis risk assessment tool for clinical treatment *** This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of patients with CRC who received surgical treatment in our hospital from January 2018 to July 2023 and were followed up for 24 *** to the follow-up results,the enrolled patients were divided into a liver metastasis group and a nonliver metastasis group and randomly divided into a modeling group and a verification group at a ratio of 2:*** risk factors for liver metastasis in patients with CRC were analyzed,a prediction model was constructed by least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)logistic regression,internal validation was performed by the bootstrap method,the reliability of the prediction model was evaluated by subject-work characteristic curves,calibration curves,and clinical decision curves,and a column graph was drawn to show the prediction *** Of 130 patients were enrolled in the modeling group and 65 patients were enrolled in the verification group out of the 195 patients with CRC who fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion *** LASSO regression variable screening and logistic regression *** ALBI score,alanine aminotransferase(ALT),and CEA were found to be independent predictors of liver metastases in CRC patients[odds ratio(OR)=8.062,95%confidence interval(CI):2.545-25.540],(OR=1.037,95%CI:1.004-1.071)and(OR=1.0

The deep-ultra deep carbonate reservoir in China, commonly subjected to modification of multi-stage diagenesis, has extremely high heterogeneity. Conventional rock physics analysis cannot accurately identify the elastic responses of reservoir. Here, the rock physics properties of the dolomite from the 4th Member of the Sinian Dengying Formation are experimentally measured, and the change law of rock physics characteristics is investigated within the framework of the diagenetic processes by the analysis of the elastic and petrologic characteristics, pore structure, and sedimentary environments. The results show that the differentiated diagenesis results in different pore structure characteristics and microtexture characteristics of the rock. The microbial dolomite of the algal mound-grain beach facies is subjected to the contemporaneous microbial dolomitization and seepage-reflux dolomitization, penecontemporaneous selective dissolution, burial dolomitization, and hydrothermal dolomitization. The resultant crystalline dolomite is found with one main type of the dolomite crystal contact boundaries,and the dissolution pore is extensive development. The siliceous, muddy, and limy dolomite of the interbeach sea environment mainly experiences the weak capillary concentration dolomitization, intensive mechanical compaction-induced densification, and burial dolomitization. Such crystalline dolomite is observed with four types of contact boundaries, namely the dolomite contact, clay contact, quartz contact, and calcite contact boundaries, and porosity mostly attributed to residual primary inter-granular or crystalline pores. The samples with the same crystal boundary condition have consistent correlations between the compressional-and shear-wave velocities, and between the compressional-wave velocity and the velocity ratio. The conventional reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS) is limited to reflecting incident signals,thereby imposing constraints on the placement of the transmitter and receiver, which hinders achieving comprehensive signal coverage across an entire area. This paper investigates a simultaneously transmitting and reflecting(STAR)-RIS-aided simultaneous wireless information and power transfer(SWIPT) system with a nonlinear energy harvesting model under three different RIS transmission protocols: energy splitting(ES),time switching(TS), and mode switching(MS). The objective of this paper is to maximize the weighted sum power(WSP) of all energy harvesting receivers(EHRs) while ensuring fairness in the collected power among them. This is achieved by jointly optimizing the transmit beamforming at the base station(BS)and the transmission and reflection coefficients at the STAR-RIS, subject to rate constraints for information decoding receivers(IDRs), transmit power constraint at the BS, and coefficient constraints of each element at the STAR-RIS corresponding to the three protocols. Solving this optimization problem poses challenges because of the complicated objective function and numerous coupled optimization variables of the ES STAR-RIS. To address this complexity, an efficient alternating optimization(AO) approach is proposed as an iterative solution method that achieves suboptimal results. The AO algorithm is then extended to MS STAR-RIS and TS STAR-RIS. Specifically, for MS STRA-RIS, binary constraints in the STAR-RIS coefficient optimization subproblem are handled using the first-order approximation technique along with the penalty function method. While a plethora of studies has been conducted to explore demotivation and its impact on mental health in second language(L2)education,scanty research focuses on demotivation in L2 speaking ***,little research explores the measures to quantify L2 speaking *** present two-phase study attempts to develop and validate an English Speaking Demotivation Scale(ESDS).To this end,an independent sample of 207 Chinese tertiary learners of English as a Foreign Language(EFL)participated in the development phase,and another group of 188 Chinese EFL learners was recruited for the validation of the *** Factor Analysis(EFA)and Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA)were employed to determine the factor structure of the *** EFA results revealed a six-factor solution with Teacher-related Factors in Learning Spoken English(TFLSE),Interest and Valence in Learning Spoken English(IVLSE),Self-efficacy in Learning Spoken English(SELSE),Negative Peer Influence in Learning Spoken English(NPILSE),Undesirable Environment for Learning Spoken English(UELSE),and Negative Influence of Assessment and Learning Materials in speaking class(NIALM).In the validation phase,Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA)was performed to validate the internal structure of the *** CFA results showed that the model fits the data ***,the ESDS is a robust and trustworthy psychometric tool that could be utilized to examine L2 speaking *** for diminishing EFL learners’demotivation,lessening their aversive emotions and promoting their mental health are also discussed.

Grain boundary(GB),as a kind of lattice defect,widely exists in two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides(2D TMDs),which has complex and diverse influences on the physical/chemical properties of 2D *** are universally considered to be a double-edged sword,although some electrical and mechanical properties of 2D TMDs would be adversely affected leading to the reduced overall quality,certain structure-oriented applications could be realized based on its unique *** this review,we first detailed the atomic structure characteristics of GBs and the corresponding techniques,then we systematically summarized the methods of introducing GBs into 2D ***,we expounded unique electrical,mechanical,and chemical properties of the GBs in 2D TMDs and clarified its internal relationship with the atomic ***,the application of GB structure in hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is also *** the end,we make a conclusion and put forward outlooks,hoping to further promote the basic research of GB and boost the wide application of 2D TMDs.
