Comparative studies on Fenton-like reactions catalyzed by Fe_(3)O_(4) loaded inside and outside halloysite nanotubes for the removal of organic pollutants

In this work,Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles(NPs)loaded inside and outside halloysite nanotubes(HNTs)were prepared and developed as the heterogeneous Fenton-like catalysts for the removal of representative organic pollutants.Characterization results indicated that the samples with Fe_(3)O_(4) NPs loaded outside the HNTs lumen(Fe_(3)O_(4)/HNTs)and inside the HNTs lumen(Fe_(3)O_(4)@HNTs)were successfully prepared.Both samples had typical magnetic hysteresis loops,while Fe_(3)O_(4)@HNTs exhibited higher magnetization intensity.The comparative experiments showed that Fe_(3)O_(4)@HNTs had better Fenton-like catalytic ability than that of Fe_(3)O_(4)/HNTs in the degradation of various organic pollutants.Taking Rhodamine B(RhB)as an example,the adsorption thermodynamics and kinetics of RhB onto Fe_(3)O_(4)/HNTs and Fe_(3)O_(4)@HNTs were also investigated.The comparative results demonstrated that the adsorption ability of Fe_(3)O_(4)/HNTs was better than that of Fe_(3)O_(4)@HNTs.Moreover,the dissolved concentration of Fe^(2+)and production amount of hydroxyl radical(·OH)in the Fe_(3)O_(4)@HNTs-H_(2)O_(2) system were significantly higher than those in the Fe_(3)O_(4)/HNTs-H_(2)O_(2) system.Based on aforementioned comparison,the nano-confinement effect in the Fe_(3)O_(4)@HNTs-H_(2)O_(2) system was verified.This work provides meaningful guidance for the cheap and convenient design of nanoreactors for Fenton-like applications.

Observation of spectral lines in the exceptional GRB 221009A

As the brightest gamma-ray burst ever observed, GRB 221009A provided a precious opportunity to explore spectral line features. In this article, we performed a comprehensive spectroscopy analysis of GRB 221009A jointly with GECAM-C and Fermi/GBM data to search for emission and absorption lines. For the first time we investigated the line feature throughout this GRB including the most bright part where many instruments suffered problems, and identified prominent emission lines in multiple time intervals. The central energy of the Gaussian emission line evolves from about 37 to 6 MeV, with a nearly constant ratio（about 10%） between the line width and central energy. Particularly, we find that both the central energy and the energy flux of the emission line evolve with time as a power law decay with power law index of –1 and –2, respectively. We suggest that the observed emission lines most likely origin from the blue-shifted electron positron pair annihilation 511 ke V line. We find that a standard high latitude emission scenario cannot fully interpret the observation, thus we propose that the emission line comes from some dense clumps with electron positron pairs traveling together with the jet. In this scenario, we can use the emission line to directly, for the first time, measure the bulk Lorentz factor of the jet（Γ） and reveal its time evolution(i.e., Γ～ t-1) during the prompt emission. Interestingly, we find that the flux of the annihilation line in the co-moving frame keeps constant. These discoveries of the spectral line features shed new and important lights on the physics of GRB and relativistic jet.

Despite epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKl)have shown remarkable efficacy in patients with EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),acquired resistance inevitably develops,limiting clinical efficacy.We found that TET2 was poly-ubiquitinated by E3 ligase CUL7^(FBXW11) and degraded in EGFR-TKI resistant NSCLC ells.Genetic perturbationof TET2 rendered parental cells more tolerant to TKI treatment.TET2 was stabilized by MEK1 phosphorylation at Ser 1107,while MEK1 inactivation promoted its proteasome degradation by enhancing the recruitment of CUL7^(FBXW11),Loss of TET2 resulted in the upregulation of TNF/NF-kB signaling that confers the EGFR-TKI resistance.Genetic or pharmacological inhibition of NF-kB attenuate the TKI resistance both in vitro and in vivo.Our findings exemplified how a cell growth controlling kinase MEK1 leveraged the epigenetic homeostasis by regulating TET2,and demonstrated an alternative path of non-mutational acquired EGFR-TKI resistance modulated by TET2 deficiency.Therefore,combined strategy exploiting EGFR-TKI and inhibitors of TET2/NF-κB axis holds therapeutic potential for treating NSCLC patients who suffered from this resistance.

Based on the lightning observation data from the Fengyun-4A(FY-4A)Lightning Mapping Imager(FY-4A/LMI)and the Lightning Imaging Sensor(LIS)on the International Space Station(ISS),we extract the“event”type data as the lightning detection results.These observations are then compared with the cloud-to-ground(CG)lightning observation data from the China Meteorological Administration.This study focuses on the characteristics of lightning activity in Southeast China,primarily in Jiangxi Province and its adjacent areas,from April to September,2017–2022.In addition,with the fifth-generation European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts reanalysis data,we further delved into the potential factors influencing the distribution and variations in lightning activity and their primary related factors.Our findings indicate that the lightning frequency and density of the FY-4A/LMI,ISS-LIS and CG data are higher in southern and central Jiangxi,central Fujian Province,and western and central Guangdong Province,while they tend to be lower in eastern Hunan Province.In general,the high-value areas of lightning density for the FY-4A/LMI are located in inland mountainous areas.The lower the latitude is,the higher the CG lightning density is.High-value areas of the CG lightning density are more likely to be located in eastern Fujian and southeastern Zhejiang Province.However,the high-value areas of lightning density for the ISS-LIS are more dispersed,with a scattered distribution in inland mountainous areas and along the coast of eastern Fujian.Thus,the mountainous terrain is closely related to the high-value areas of the lightning density.The locations of the high-value areas of the lightning density for the FY-4A/LMI correspond well with those for the CG observations,and the seasonal variations are also consistent.In contrast,the distribution of the high-value areas of the lightning density for the ISS-LIS is more dispersed.The positions of the peak frequency of the FY-4A/LMI lightning and CG lightning contrast with local altitudes

Recent years have witnessed the transformative impact from the integration of artificial intelligence with organic and polymer synthesis. This synergy offers innovative and intelligent solutions to a range of classic problems in synthetic chemistry. These exciting advancements include the prediction of molecular property, multi-step retrosynthetic pathway planning, elucidation of the structure-performance relationship of single-step transformation, establishment of the quantitative linkage between polymer structures and their functions, design and optimization of polymerization process, prediction of the structure and sequence of biological macromolecules, as well as automated and intelligent synthesis platforms. Chemists can now explore synthetic chemistry with unprecedented precision and efficiency, creating novel reactions, catalysts, and polymer materials under the datadriven paradigm. Despite these thrilling developments, the field of artificial intelligence(AI) synthetic chemistry is still in its infancy, facing challenges and limitations in terms of data openness, model interpretability, as well as software and hardware support. This review aims to provide an overview of the current progress, key challenges, and future development suggestions in the interdisciplinary field between AI and synthetic chemistry. It is hoped that this overview will offer readers a comprehensive understanding of this emerging field, inspiring and promoting further scientific research and development.

Efficient electrocatalysts are vital to large-current hydrogen production in commercial water splitting for green energy generation.Herein,a novel heterophase engineering strategy is described to produce polymorphic CoSe2electrocatalysts.The composition of the electrocatalysts consisting of both cubic CoSe2（c-CoSe2） and orthorhombic CoSe2（o-CoSe2） phases can be controlled precisely.Our results demonstrate that junction-induced spin-state modulation of Co atoms enhances the adsorption of intermediates and accelerates charge transfer resulting in superior large-current hydrogen evolution reaction（HER）properties.Specifically,the CoSe2-based heterophase catalyst with the optimal c-CoSe2content requires an overpotential of merely 240 mV to achieve 1,000 mA·cm-2as well as a Tafel slope of 50.4 mV·dec-1.Furthermore,the electrocatalyst can maintain a large current density of 1,500 mA·cm-2for over 320 h without decay.The results reveal the advantages and potential of heterophase junction engineering pertaining to design and fabrication of low-cost transition metal catalysts for large-current water splitting.

Ground-based arrays of imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes(IACTs)are the most sensitiveγ-ray detectors for energies of approximately 100 Ge V and above.One such IACT is the High Altitude Detection of Astronomical Radiation(HADAR)experiment,which uses a large aperture refractive water lens system to capture atmospheric Cherenkov photons(i.e.,the imaging atmospheric Cherenkov technique).The telescope array has a low threshold energy and large field of view,and can continuously scan the area of the sky being observed,which is conducive to monitoring and promptly responding to transient phenomena.The process ofγ-hadron separation is essential in very-high-energy(>30 Ge V)γ-ray astronomy and is a key factor for the successful utilization of IACTs.In this study,Monte Carlo simulations were carried out to model the response of cosmic rays within the HADAR detectors.By analyzing the Hillas parameters and the distance between the event core and the telescope,the distinction between air showers initiated byγ-rays and those initiated by cosmic rays was determined.Additionally,a Quality Factor was introduced to assess the telescope’s ability to suppress the background and to provide a more effective characterization of its performance.

Fulminant myocarditis is an acute diffuse inflammatory disease of myocardium.It is characterized by acute onset,rapid progress and high risk of death.Its pathogenesis involves excessive immune activation of the innate immune system and formation of inflammatory storm.According to China’s practical experience,the adoption of the“life support-based comprehensive treatment regimen”(with mechanical circulation support and immunomodulation therapy as the core)can significantly improve the survival rate and long-term prognosis.Special emphasis is placed on very early identification,very early diagnosis,very early prediction and very early treatment.

目的探讨茯苓酸(PA)对银屑病小鼠皮损组织胰岛素受体底物(IRS)-1/细胞外调节蛋白激酶(ERK)1/2通路及角质形成细胞增殖的影响。方法将BALB/C雄性小鼠随机分为正常对照组、模型组、PA低、中、高(1.25、2.50、5.00 mg/kg)剂量组、阳性药物组(氨甲蝶呤，2 mg/kg),每组10只。除正常对照组外，其余各组于背部涂抹5%咪喹莫特乳膏建立银屑病模型；各组均在分组后当天开始给药，PA各剂量组及阳性药物组灌胃给予相应剂量的PA和氨甲蝶呤，正常对照组和模型组灌胃给予相应体积生理盐水，连续给药1 w, 1次/d。各组末次给药24 h后，观察各组背部皮肤组织，并对银屑病皮损面积和严重程度指数(PASI)进行评分；取背部皮损组织，采用苏木素-伊红(HE)染色观察皮肤组织形态学改变；取血液和皮损组织，用酶联免疫吸附试验检测空腹胰岛素(FINS)、空腹血糖(FBG)水平及皮损组织炎性因子白细胞介素(IL)-6、肿瘤坏死因子(TNF)-α、IL-17、IL-23含量，计算胰岛素抵抗指数(HOMA-IR);Western印迹检测皮损组织IRS-1、ERK1/2、磷酸化ERK1/2(p-ERK1/2)蛋白及角质形成细胞增殖、分化指标-增殖细胞核抗原(PCNA)和外皮蛋白(Involucrin)表达水平。结果正常对照组皮肤组织正常；与正常对照组相比，模型组可见背部皮肤红斑、鳞屑、增厚浸润等损伤及表皮层棘细胞层增厚、角质层角化不全、真皮层炎性细胞浸润等病理损伤程度、PASI评分、HOMA-IR及皮损组织IL-6、TNF-α、IL-17、IL-23含量、IRS-1、p-ERK1/2、PCNA、Involucrin蛋白表达水平明显升高(P0.05);各组皮损组织ERK1/2蛋白表达水平差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论 PA可抑制皮损组织IRS-1/ERK1/2通路激活，降低PCNA、Involucrin蛋白表达，抑制皮损组织角质形成细胞增殖和分化，改善银屑病模型小鼠胰岛素抵抗、炎症反应及病理损伤。

癌症发病率与年龄密切相关,75%的非小细胞肺癌(non-small cell lung cancer, NSCLC)患者年龄均≥65岁。免疫检查点抑制剂(immune checkpoint inhibitors, ICIs)的出现改变了NSCLC的治疗格局。针对老年患者有限的研究发现对于65-75岁的患者,ICIs单药显示出良好的获益,与年轻患者无明显差异,这种获益在免疫联合化疗或放疗中也有所体现。但是对于≥75岁的患者来说生存获益不明显。ICIs单药在不同年龄段的患者中免疫相关不良反应(immune-related adverse events, irAEs)发生率相似,免疫联合化疗对比单纯化疗导致irAEs的发生率高,≥75岁患者发生更高级别irAEs的可能性更大。除了老年患者免疫衰老会从多维度影响免疫微环境从而影响免疫治疗疗效外,东部肿瘤协作组体力状态(Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status, ECOG PS)评分等也会影响预后。对于部分≥75岁或身体状况较差的患者,免疫联合低强度化疗成为有潜力的治疗方式之一,但相关研究较少,所以应有意识增加老年患者入组试验的人数,同时综合评估,探索个体化治疗方案。本综述拟对老年NSCLC患者应用抗程序性死亡受体1(programmed cell death protein 1, PD-1)及其配体(programmed cell death ligand 1, PD-L1)的相关研究进行汇总分析,以期为老年NSCLC患者的免疫治疗提供更多参考和指导,并结合其特点提出新的治疗展望。
