The impact of boron on the dissolution and repairing behavior of passive films formed on S31254 super-austenitic stainless steel(SASS)was *** was immersed in 0.5 mol/L of H_(2)SO_(4) for 0,2,6,10,and 14 days to explore the evolution of the passive *** electrochemical impedance spectroscope(EIS),the Mott–Schottky analysis,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscope were utilized to analyze the semiconductor properties and compositions of the passive *** showed a decrease and consequent increase over 14 days;the same pattern was observed for Cr_(2)O_(3) and Cr/***,the defect density of the passive film exhibited a reverse *** variation in film thicknesses indicated that the passive films possessed dissolution and repairing *** passive film had a double-layer structure;the outer layer was found to be rich in Fe3+and Cr(OH)3,but low on Mo6+,while the inner layer was rich in Cr_(2)O_(3) and low in Mo4+.The addition of boron increased the corrosion resistance and could promote the efficiency of the passive film repair,likely by promoting the migration of Mox+,which promoted the repairing of the passive film.

Background and Objective:Heparanase-1 (HPA-1) can promote angiogenesis and metastasis of malignant tumors and plays an important role in the genesis and development of *** study was to explore the effects of specific small interfering RNA (siRNA) targeting HPA-1 combined with heparin on invasiveness of mouse hepatocellular carcinoma ***:The expression of HPA-1 in Hca-F, Hca-P, and Hepa1-6 cells, which have high, low, and no metastatic potential, respectively, was analyzed by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), Western blot analysis and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).After transfection with two specific siRNAs targeting HPA-1, siRNA-1 and siRNA-2, and treatment with heparin, invasiveness of Hca-F cells was observed by Matrigel invasion ***:HPA-1 was negative in Hepa1-6 cells while positive in both Hca-F and Hca-P *** expression levels of both HPA-1 mRNA and protein were obviously higher in Hca-F cells than in Hca-P ***-1 proteins could be secreted into culture supernatant of Hca-F and Hca-P cells, and the amount of secreted HPA-1 detected by Western blot analysis was larger in Hca-F cells than in Hca-P cells (1.34±0.02 vs.0.60±0.01, P<0.001), which was consistent with the results of *** siRNA-1 and siRNA-2 downregulated the expression of HPA-1 and the siRNA-2 did more *** number of invasive Hca-F cells treated with siRNA-2 or heparin alone was larger than that of Hca-F cells treated with combination of them (9±1 vs.4±1, P=0.013; 15±2 vs.4±1, P=0.008), but smaller than that of untreated Hca-F cells (9±1 vs.22±2, P=0.006; 15±2 vs.22±2, P=0.026).Conclusion:The combined application of specific siRNA targeting HPA-1 and heparin is more effective in inhibiting the invasiveness of mouse hepatoma cells.

The positively charged single walled carbon nanotubes （SWNTs^＋） were prepared by conjugating with -CONH-C6H12-NH3^＋. The double strand DNA （dsDNA） chains were loaded onto SWNTs^＋ via the electrostatic interactions. SWNTs^＋ shows improved loading efficiency （353.5 μg/mg） toward dsDNA compared with that of charged free single walled carbon nanotubes （SWNTs）（82.9 μg/mg）.

The charge transport behavior of barium fluoride nanocrystals is investigated by in situ impedance measurement up to 35 GPa. It is found that the parameters change discontinuously at about 6.9 GPa, corresponding to the phase transition of BaF2 nanocrystals under high pressure. The charge carriers in BaF2 nanocrystals include both Fions and electrons. Pressure makes the electronic transport more difficult. The defects at grains dominate the electronic transport process. Pressure could make the charge-discharge processes in the Fm3m phase more difficult.

A 61-year-old woman was hospitalized for a chief complaint of sudden chest tightness with sweating for two hours. The chest tightness and sweating occurred suddenly and without remission after a morning stool. Electrocardiography showed a complete atrioventricular （AV） block and arc-like elevation of the ST-segment in leads Ⅱ, Ⅲ, AVF, V7-V9, and V3R-V5R, at about 0.05-0. 15 mV. After being administered 1 mg of atropine in the emergency room （ER）, the patient was admitted to the cardiology department. The patient had been found in a cyanotic state two years previously, but did not receive any treatment; she was diagnosed with a transient ischemic attack （TIA） 1.5 years previously because of limb dyskinesia accompanied by slurred speech.

Sum Frequency Spectroscopy Studies on Cell Membrane Fusion Induced by Divalent Cations

Cell membrane fusion is a fundamental biological process involved in a number of cellular living functions. Regarding this, divalent cations can induce fusion of the lipid bilayers through binding and bridging of divalent cations to the charged lipids, thus leading to the cell membrane fusion. However, the elaborate mechanism of cell membrane fusion induced by divalent cations is still needed to be ***, surface/interface sensitive sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy(SFG-VS) and dynamic light scattering(DLS) were applied in this research to study the responses of phospholipid monolayer to the exposure of divalent metal ions ***^(2+)and Mg^(2+). According to the particle size distribution results measured by DLS experiments, it was found that Ca^(2+)could induce inter-vesicular fusion while Mg^(2+)could not. An octadecyltrichlorosilane self-assembled monolayer(OTS SAM)-lipid monolayer system was designed to model the cell membrane for the SFG-VS experiment. Ca^(2+)could interact with the lipid POO_(2)^(-)head groups more strongly, resulting in cell membrane fusion more easily, in comparison with Mg^(2+). No specific interaction between the two metal cations and the C=O groups was observed. However, the C=O orientations changed more after Ca^(2+)-PO2-binding than Mg^(2+)mediation on lipid monolayer. Meanwhile, Ca^(2+)could induce dehydration of the lipids(which should be related to the strong Ca^(2+)-PO_(2)^(-)interaction), leading to the reduced hindrance for cell membrane fusion.

Chronic heart failure （CHF）, as the end-stage presentation of all kinds of heart diseases, is a major public health problem as well issue. There are more than 5 as a pressing public policy million patients diagnosed with CHF in USA alone and approximately 550 000 new cases appear per year. About 0.4%-2% of the European population is affected by symptomatic heart failure. Hence heart failure is the leading cause of hospitalization especially in older people around the world.

In the field of intelligent education,the integration of artificial intelligence,especially deep learning technologies,has garnered significant *** tracing(KT)plays a pivotal role in this field by predicting students’future performance through the analysis of historical interaction data,thereby assisting educators in evaluating knowledgemastery and tailoring instructional *** knowledge tracingmethods,largely based on Recurrent Neural Networks(RNNs)and Transformer models,primarily focus on capturing long-term interaction patterns in sequential ***,these models may neglect crucial short-term dynamics and other relevant *** paper introduces a novel approach to knowledge tracing by leveraging a pure Multilayer Perceptron(MLP)*** proposeMixerKT,a knowledge tracing model based on theHyperMixer framework,which uniquely integrates global and localMixer feature *** architecture enables more effective extraction of both long-terminteraction trends and recent learning behaviors,addressing limitations in currentmodels thatmay overlook these key *** evaluations on twowidely-used datasets,ASSIS Tments2009 and Algebra2005,demonstrate that MixerKT consistently outperforms several state-of-the-art models,including DKT,SAKT,and Separated Self-Attentive Neural Knowledge Tracing(SAINT).Specifically,MixerKT achieves higher prediction accuracy,highlighting its effectiveness in capturing the nuances of learners’knowledge *** results indicate that our model provides a more comprehensive representation of student learning patterns,enhancing the ability to predict future performance with greater precision.
