The variation of dielectric,ferroelectric and piezoelectric characteristics of BaZrO_(3)emodified(Ba_(0.85)Ca_(0.15))TiO_(3) ceramics,(1-x)(Ba_(0.85)Ca_(0.15))TiO_(3)-xBaZrO_(3),have been investigated together with the structure *** crystal structure at room-temperature varies from tetragonal to metrically cubic through orthorhombic and rhombohedral,and the morphotropic phase boundary(MPB)is determined around x=0.12 where the significantly enhanced dielectric,ferroelectric and piezoelectric characteristics are *** increasing x,the present ceramics indicate the crossover from normal to diffused and relaxor ferroelectric,and the evolution process is explored systematically.

BaTiO_(3)-epoxy dielectric composites were prepared by curing the liquid epoxy monomer that infiltrated into the partially-sintered BaTiO_(3)porous *** BaTiO_(3)volume fraction of the composites maintained around 58.6%with increasing the sintering temperature from 600℃to 1000°C,while the significant microstructure evolution,improved connectivity of BaTiO_(3)phase and dramatical increase in permittivity from 102 to 697 were *** permittivity and BaTiO_(3)volume fraction further increased to 2328 and 83.5%for the sintering temperature of 1250℃.The present composites had the permittivity 102 orders of magnitude higher than the 0-3 type ones,and the extraordinary results were mainly attributed to the improved connectivity of BaTiO_(3)phase that benefited from partial *** connectivity also had a significant effect on the temperature dependence of permittivity,and good combination of temperature-stable high permittivity,low dielectric loss and relatively low ceramic fraction could be obtained by regulating the connectivity of BaTiO_(3)ceramic phase.

(Sr_(0.5)Ba_(0.5))Nb_(2)O_(6) ultra-fine powders were synthesized by a novel sol–gel route,and the mechanism of the reaction was ***_(3),BaCO_(3),oxalate niobium and citric acid were used to initiate the sol–gel process,and ethylene glycol(EG)was added to further polymerize the cross-linking *** evolution of the(Sr_(0.5)Ba_(0.5))Nb_(2)O_(6) phase,the reaction process and the microstructures were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Raman spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,DSC-TG and scanning electron *** synthesis temperature of the(Sr_(0.5)Ba_(0.5))Nb_(2)O_(6) powders reached as low as 1200℃,and the size and morphology of the powders were controlled by *** adjusting the calcination temperature,we obtained(Sr_(0.5)Ba_(0.5))Nb_(2)O_(6) powders with uniform sizes of 20 nm to 500 ***,dense(Sr_(0.5)Ba_(0.5))Nb_(2)O_(6) ceramics were successfully prepared using these ultrafine ***,an enhanced electrocaloric effect(ECE)value of 0.35℃ was obtained at 100 kV/cm.

With the rapid development of mobile communication technology towards 5G and 6G,the microwave dielectric materials with ultra-low permittivity and ultra-high Qf value are urgently ***,the excellent microwave dielectric properties are reported in H3BO3 ceramics with the molecular crystal structure,whose permittivity(2.84)and density(1.46 g/cm^(3))are record-low among the low-loss *** ultra-high Qf value of 146,000 GHz(or the ultra-low dielectric loss of 1.03×10^(-4) at 15 GHz)is also ***,the H_(3)BO_(3) ceramics can be densified at room temperature by a simple cold sintering process in a short time of 10 min,and this brings many advantages for the integration with microwave *** large molecule volume originating from the molecular crystal structure and the low dielectric polarizabilities of H^(+) and B^(3+) are responsible for the ultra-low permittivity of H_(3)BO_(3) ceramics,and more microwave dielectric materials with ultra-low permittivity and ultra-high Qf value are expected to be explored in the molecular crystals.

The cancer cell metastasis is a major death reason for patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Although researchers have disclosed that interleukin 17(IL-17)can increase matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs)induction causing NSCLC cell metastasis,the underlying mechanism remains *** the study,we found that IL-17 receptor A(IL-17RA),p300,p-STAT3,Ack-STAT3,and MMP19 were up-regulated both in NSCLC tissues and NSCLC cells stimulated with IL-17.p300,STAT3 and MMP19 overexpression or knockdown could raise or reduce IL-17-induced p-STAT3,Ack-STAT3 and MMP19 level as well as the cell migration and *** investigation revealed that STAT3 and p300 bound to the same region(−544 to−389 nt)of MMP19 promoter,and p300 could acetylate STAT3-K631 elevating STAT3 transcriptional activity,p-STAT3 or MMP19 expression and the cell mobility exposed to ***,p300-mediated STAT3-K631 acetylation and its Y705-phosphorylation could interact,synergistically facilitating MMP19 gene transcription and enhancing cell migration and ***,the animal experiments exhibited that the nude mice inoculated with NSCLC cells by silencing p300,STAT3 or MMP19 gene plus IL-17 treatment,the nodule number,and MMP19,Ack-STAT3,or p-STAT3 production in the lung metastatic nodules were all ***,these outcomes uncover that IL-17-triggered NSCLC metastasis involves up-regulating MMP19 expression via the interaction of STAT3-K631 acetylation by p300 and its Y705-phosphorylation,which provides a new mechanistic insight and potential strategy for NSCLC metastasis and therapy.

The chain dynamics heterogeneity of the poly(vinyl butyral)(PVB) plasticized by triethylene glycol bis(2-ethylhexa noate)(TEG-EH) was investigated by various solid-state NMR *** plasticized PVB shows two domains in distinct molecular dynamics differences,namely,rigid and soft domains,where the latter is the plasticizer-rich *** time domain low field NMR was first used to investigate the dynamics heterogeneity of the plasticized PVB,and the results show the decreasing activated energy of components in the soft domain of plasticized PVB(E_a=20.2 kJ/mol) as compared with that of the pristine one(E_a=24.3 kJ/mol).Detailed dynamics heterogeneity was obtained by high-field NMR with site-specific *** quadrupole-echo ~2H-NMR was adopted to elucidate the dynamics heterogeneity of the vinyl alcohol(VA) units,where only the hydroxyl group of VA is *** ~1H-^(13)C WISE NMR spectra show that there is not much difference in the mobility of the VB unit in PVB with and without plasticizer,whereas the glass transition temperature differed by approximately 53℃.This is further supported by Torchia's T_1 relaxation *** origin of such an unusual phenomenon is attributed to the critical role of the remaining VA(~22%) in the soft domain,where the VA units locally aggregate through hydrogen ***,the existence of a mobility gradient in the VB unit has been ***,the mobility difference for VB with different stereo-geometry(meso or racemic conformation) is observed for the first *** indicates the importance of modulating the ratio of meso over racemic VB for controlling the macroscopic perfo rmance of PVB.

From ancient wisdom to modern science:Gut microbiota sheds light on property theory of traditional Chinese medicine

The property theory of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has been practiced for thousands of years,playing a pivotal role in the clinical application of TCM. While advancements in energy metabolism,chemical composition analysis, machine learning, ion current modeling, and supercritical fluid technology have provided valuable insight into how aspects of TCM property theory may be measured, these studies only capture specific aspects of TCM property theory in isolation, overlooking the holistic perspective inherent in TCM. To systematically investigate the modern interpretation of the TCM property theory from multidimensional perspectives, we consulted the Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2020 edition) to compile a list of Chinese materia medica(CMM). Then, using the Latin names of each CMM and gut microbiota as keywords, we searched the PubMed database for relevant research on gut microbiota and CMM. The regulatory patterns of different herbs on gut microbiota were then summarized from the perspectives of the four natures, the five flavors and the meridian tropism. In terms of the four natures, we found that warm-natured medicines promoted the colonization of specific beneficial bacteria,while cold-natured medicines boosted populations of some beneficial bacteria while suppressing pathogenic bacteria. Analysis of the five flavors revealed that sweet-flavored and bitter-flavored CMMs positively influenced beneficial bacteria while inhibiting harmful bacteria. CMMs with different meridian tropism exhibited complex modulative patterns on gut microbiota, with Jueyin(Liver) and Taiyin(Lung) meridian CMMs generally exerting a stronger effect. The gut microbiota may be a biological indicator for characterizing the TCM property theory, which not only enhances our understanding of classic TCM theory but also contributes to its scientific advancement and application in healthcare.
