Cardiovascular diseases cause significant morbidity and mortality worldwide,incurring a major public health *** elata Blume is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine that has been widely used to treat central nervous system and cardiovascular ***,as the major active component in Gastrodia elata Blume,can confer protection against cardiovascular *** this review,we summarize the anti-inflammatory actions,anti-cardiac hypertrophy,anti-hypertension,anti-atherosclerosis,and angiogenic effects of gastrodin,as well as its protective effects on vascular cells and against myocardial ischemia-reperfusion *** medical potential of gastrodin in diabetes-related cardiovascular diseases is also discussed.

A travel ing magnetic field, a power ultrasonic field, and a compound field were used separately during the horizontal continuous casting process of Al-1wt.%Si al oy. The samples obtained were characterized using an optical microscope, a scanning electron microscope, a tensile testing machine, and an electron probe microscopic analyzer to test the microstructures, properties, and element distribution of the samples. The results show that the application of a single ifeld can enhance the mechanical properties and reduce the segregation of Si element in Al-1wt.%Si alloy to some extent. The application of a compound field can obtain the best reifnement and homogeneity of the Si element in the al oy, leading to the highest increase of tensile strength and elongation among the three applied ifelds. The mechanism of the action of external ifelds on the reifnement of microstructures and homogeneity of the Si element is discussed and the compound ifeld is considered to be an effective method to achieve high quality Al alloys.

Dear Editor,Multiple myeloma(MM)is a malignant plasma cancer that grows in the bone marrow and migrates through the ***-eight percent of MM patients exhibit the phenotype of hepatomegaly,and 40%have myeloma cell infiltration in the liver[1].The occurrence and migration of MM are highly associated with the bone marrow microenvironment[2].A key in the develop-ment of MM is the evasion and suppression of the host immune ***/macrophage-lineage cells are major components of the infiltrating leukocytes in tumors.

Artificial neural network(ANN) models have been employed to the calculations ofdensities and excess molar volumes of water+methanol+ethylene glycol ternary system at different temperatures. The results were satisfactory comparing with the experimental values. The method wasconvenient in operation, rapid in calculation and easy in extending to multicomponent systems.

Gynogenetic silver crucian carp, Carassius auratus gibelio, is an intriguing model system. In the present work, a systemic study has been initiated by introducing suppression subtractive hybridization technique into this model system to identify the differentially expressed genes in oocytes between gynogenetic silver crucian carp and its closely related gonochoristic color crucian carp. Five differential cDNA fragments were identified from the preliminary screening, and two of them are ZP3 homologues. Moreover, the full length ZP3 cDNAs were cloned from their oocyte cDNA libraries. The length of ZP3 cDNAs were 1378 bp for gyno-carp and 1367 bp for gono-carp, and they can be translated into proteins with 435 amino acids. Obvious differences are not only in the composition of amino acids, but also in the number of potential O-linked oligosaccharide sites. In addition, gyno-carp ZP3 amino acid sequence has an unexpected higher identity value with common carp (83.5%) than that with the closely related gono-carp (74.7%). The unique homology may be originated from the ancient hybridization. Northern blot analysis confirmed that expression of the ZP3 gene occurred exclusively in the oocytes. Because O-linked oligosaccharides on ZP3 have been demonstrated to play very important roles in fertilization, it is suggested that the extra O-linked glycosylation sites may be related to the unique sperm-egg recognition mechanism in gynogenesis.

This research focuses on addressing the challenges associated with image detection in low-light environments,particularly by applying artificial intelligence techniques to machine vision and object recognition *** primary goal is to tackle issues related to recognizing objects with low brightness *** this study,the Intel RealSense Lidar Camera L515 is used to simultaneously capture color information and 16-bit depth information *** detection scenarios are categorized into normal brightness and low brightness *** the system determines a normal brightness environment,normal brightness images are recognized using deep learning *** low-brightness situations,three methods are proposed for *** first method is the SegmentationwithDepth image(SD)methodwhich involves segmenting the depth image,creating amask from the segmented depth image,mapping the obtained mask onto the true color(RGB)image to obtain a backgroundreduced RGB image,and recognizing the segmented *** second method is theHDVmethod(hue,depth,value)which combines RGB images converted to HSV images(hue,saturation,value)with depth images D to form HDV images for *** third method is the HSD(hue,saturation,depth)method which similarly combines RGB images converted to HSV images with depth images D to form HSD images for *** experimental results,in normal brightness environments,the average recognition rate obtained using image recognition methods is 91%.For low-brightness environments,using the SD method with original images for training and segmented images for recognition achieves an average recognition rate of over 82%.TheHDVmethod achieves an average recognition rate of over 70%,while the HSD method achieves an average recognition rate of over 84%.The HSD method allows for a quick and convenient low-light object recognition *** research outcome can be applied to nighttime surveillance systems or nighttime road safety systems

Objective Biochemical indicators such as N-terminal pro-brain type natriuretic peptide（NT pro-BNP）and high-sensitivity Creactive protein（hsCRP）predict mortality in acute coronary syndrome（ACS）.However,little is known about the relationship of these factors with severity of coronary artery stenosis in patients *** Three hundred and thirty-one subjects including 246 unstable angina pectoris patients and 85 myocardial infarction patients were recruited and classified into two groups：single-vessel disease group（1-vessel disease,n=93）and multiple-vessel disease group（≥2-vessels disease,n=238）according to selective coronary *** levels of NT pro-BNP and hsCRP were measured and severity of coronary stenosis was determined by Gensini *** NT pro-BNP but not hsCRP level was higher in patients with myocardial infarction than in patients with unstable angina *** patients with multiple-vessel disease had significantly higher NT pro-BNP level but not hsCRP compared with those with single-vessel *** pro-BNP levels increased significantly as left ventricle（LV）function decreased,and only NT proBNP but not hsCRP level was related to Gensini score of severity of coronary stenosis in *** NT proBNP but not hsCRP level is related to severity of coronary artery stenosis in patients in ACS.

Millet agriculture,which originated in northern China,alongside rice agriculture,have nurtured the Chinese *** manuring practices likely promoted and maintained sustainable millet agricultural production in the loess area of northern ***,ongoing controversy exists regarding the indicators of prehistoric manuring intensity of foxtail millet(Setaria italica)and common millet(Panicum miliaceum).Here,we present the results of pot and field fertilization experiments on two millet *** findings suggest that manuring can significantly increase the δ^(15)N values of foxtail millet,and its δ^(15)N values increase with increasing manuring *** δ^(15)N values of foxtail millet leaves are systematically greater than those of grains by approximately 1.6‰.Manuring could have a long-term residual impact on increasing the δ^(15)N values of soil and millet *** with previous crop fertilization experiment results,we propose that the impact of manuring on the δ^(15)N values of non-nitrogen-fixing crops is roughly *** δ^(15)N value and amount of manure are key factors determining the extent of change in plant δ^(15)N *** millet grain δ^(15)N values can serve as reliable indicators of manuring ***,we provide an interpretive framework for assessing the correlation between manuring levels and the δ^(15)N values of archaeological millet *** δ^(15)N values of ancient millet grains suggest widespread and intensive manuring practices in prehistoric millet agriculture in northern China,spanning from the early yangshao period to the Longshan period.
