Nature is an information sourcebook of behaviour, function, colour and shape which can inspire visual design and invention. Studying the form and functional characteristics of a natural object can provide inspiration for product design and help to improve the marketability of manufactured products. The inspiration can be triggered either by direct observation or captured by three-dimensional （3D） digitising techniques to obtain superficial information （geometry and colour）. An art designer often creates a concept in the form of a two-dimensional （2D） sketch while engineering methods lead to a point cloud in 3D. Each has its limitations in that the art designer commonly lacks the knowledge to build a final product from a 2D sketch and the engi- neering designer＇s 3D point clouds may not be very beautiful. We propose a method for Product Design from Nature （PDN）, coupling aesthetic intent and geometrical characteristics, exploring the interactions between designers and nature＇s systems in PDN. We believe that this approach would considerably reduce the lead time and cost of product design from nature.

Three new triterpenes, 3β,21α-dihydroxylupen-18（19）-en （1）, 3β,25-dihydroxytirucalla- 7,23（24）-dien （2）, and 21α-hydroxy-19α-hydrogentaraxastero1-20（30）-en （3） were obtained from an ethyl acetate extract of the whole plant of Siyekucai （Ixeris chinensis）. The structures of 1-3 were determined by spectroscopic methods （EIMS, IR, 1D and 2D NMR）.

BACKGROUND Castleman disease(CD) is a rare lymphoproliferative disorder that presents with various symptoms. CD accompanied with jaundice is uncommon since there are only 11 cases reported in the *** SUMMARY Here we report a 62-year-old woman who was admitted to the hospital with signs and symptoms of intermittent jaundice. Biochemical tests showed higher serum levels of total and direct bilirubin, and normal serum levels of tumor markers and interleukin-6. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography detected a6 cm × 4 cm × 2.5 cm mass between the hepatoduodenal ligament and the inferior vena cava. The mass was successfully excised and the patient had a complete resolution of symptoms. A diagnosis of idiopathic unicentric CD was made based upon histological examination, which demonstrated the pathological features of CD of mixed type, including hyperplasia of follicular lymphoids with abundant plasma cells, degenerative germinal centers, interfollicular vascularity and hyaline degeneration. The diagnosis was corroborated by immunohistochemical analysis which detected multiple *** This is the first study that describes the clinicopathological features of CD presenting with jaundice, which may deepen and extend our understanding of this disease.

The permeability index is one of the important production indicators to monitor the operation of blast *** is crucial to grasp the trends of changes in the new permeability index in *** the complex vibration spectrum of the permeability index,a prediction model of the permeability index based on the VMD-PSO-BP(variational mode decomposition-particle swarm optimization-back propagation)method was ***,the key factors that affect the permeability index of blast furnace were studied from multiple ***,the permeability index was divided into multiple sub-modes based on the difference of frequency bands by the VMD algorithm,and a PSO-BP prediction model was established for each ***,the prediction results of each sub-mode were summed to obtain the final *** results show that the composite prediction accuracy by using the VMD algorithm is 3%higher than that of the traditional prediction method,which has better applicability.

During steam reforming,the performance of a catalyst and amount/property of coke are closely related to reaction intermediates reaching surface of a ***,modification of reaction intermediates by placing Mg-Al-hydrotalcite above Ni/KIT-6 catalyst in steam reforming of glycerol was conducted at 300 to 600°*** results revealed that the catalytic activity of Ni/KIT-6 in the lower bed was enhanced with either Mg1-Al5-hydrotalcite(containing more acidic sites)or Mg5-Al1-hydrotalcite(containing more alkaline sites)as upper-layer *** in situ infrared characterization of steam reforming demonstrated that Mg-Al-hydrotalcite catalyzed the deoxygenation of glycerol,facilitating the reforming of the partially deoxygenated intermediates over Ni/***-Al-hydrotalcite as protective catalyst,however,did not protect the Ni/KIT-6 from formation of more ***,this did not lead to further deactivation of Ni/KIT-6 while Mg5-Al1-hydrotalcite even substantially enhanced the catalytic stability,even though the coke was much more significant than that in the use of single Ni/KIT-6(52.7%vs.28.6%).The reason beneath this was change of the property of coke from more aliphatic to more ***5-Al1-hydrotalcite catalyzed dehydration of glycerol,producing dominantly reaction intermediates bearing C=C,which formed the catalytic coke of with carbon nanotube as the main form with smooth outer walls as well as higher aromaticity,C/H ratio,crystallinity,crystal carbon size,thermal stability,and resistivity toward oxidation on Ni/KIT-6 in the lower *** comparison,the abundance of acidic sites on Mg1-Al5-hydrotalcite catalyzed the formation of more oxygen-containing species,leading to the formation of carbon nanotubes of rough surface on Ni/KIT-6.
