The relationship between metabolic derangements and fatty liver development are undeniable,since more than 75% of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus present with fatty *** is also significant epidemiological association between insulin resistance(IR)and metabolic(dysfunction)-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD).For little more than 2 years,the nomenclature of fatty liver of non-alcoholic origin has been intended to change to MAFLD by multiple *** a myriad of reasons for which MAFLD is thought to be of metabolic origin could be exposed,the bottom line relies on the role of IR as an initiator and perpetuator of this *** is a reciprocal role in MAFLD development and IR as well as serum glucose concentrations,where increased circulating glucose and insulin result in increased de novo lipogenesis by sterol regulatory elementbinding protein-1c induced lipogenic enzyme stimulation;therefore,increased endogenous production of *** same effect is achieved through impaired suppression of adipose tissue(AT)lipolysis in insulin-resistant states,increasing fatty acid influx into the *** complementary reciprocal situation occurs when liver steatosis alters hepatokine secretion,modifying fatty acid metabolism as well as IR in a variety of tissues,including skeletal muscle,AT,and the *** aim of this review is to discuss the importance of IR and AT interactions in metabolic altered states as perhaps the most important factor in MAFLD pathogenesis.

A Linearized Branch Flow Model considering Line Shunts for Radial Distribution Systems and Its Application in Volt/VAr control

When urban distribution systems are gradually modernized,the overhead lines are replaced by underground cables,whose shunt admittances can not be *** power flow(PF)model withπequivalent circuit shows non-convexity and long computing time,and most recently proposed linear PF models assume zero shunt *** of them are not suitable for fast calculation and optimization problems of modern distribution systems with non-negligible line ***,this paper proposes a linearized branch flow model considering line shunt(LBFS).The strength of LBFS lies in maintaining the linear structure and the convex nature after appropriately modeling theπequivalent circuit for network equipment like *** results show that the calculation accuracy in nodal voltage and branch current magnitudes is improved by considering shunt *** show the application scope of LBFS by controlling the network voltages through a two-stage stochastic Volt/VAr control(VVc)problem with the uncertain active power output from renewable energy sources(RESs).Since LBFS results in a linear VVc program,the global solution is *** study exhibits that VVc framework can optimally dispatch the discrete control devices,*** transformers and shunt capacitors,and also optimize the decision rules for real-time reactive power control of ***,the computing efficiency is significantly improved compared with that of traditional VVc methods.

Searching systematics for nonfactorizable contributions to B^(-)and B^(0) hadronic decays

The two-body weak decays B→πD/B→ρD and B→πD are examined using isospin analysis to study nonfactorizable *** determining strong interaction phases and obtaining factorizable contributions from spectator-quark diagrams for Nc=3,we determine nonfactorizable isospin amplitudes from the experimental data for these *** results support the universality of the ratio of nonfactorizable isospin reduced amplitudes for these decays within experimental *** demonstrate that these systematics are not coincidental,we also plot our results *** ratio.

Observation of complex Organic Molecules containing Peptide-like Bonds Toward Hot core G358.93-0.03 MM1

In star formation regions,the complex organic molecules(cOMs)that contain peptide bonds(-NH-c(=O)-)play a major role in the metabolic process because-NH-c(=O)-is connected to amino acids(R-cHNH_2-cOOH).Over the past few decades,many cOMs containing peptide-like bonds have been detected in hot molecular cores(HMcs),hot corinos,and cold molecular clouds,however,their prebiotic chemistry is poorly *** present the first detection of the rotational emission lines of formamide(NH_2cHO)and isocyanic acid(HNcO),which contain peptide-like bonds toward the chemically rich HMc G358.93-0.03 MM1,using high-resolution and high-sensitivity Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array bands 6 and *** estimate that the column densities of NH_2cHO and HNcO toward G358.93-0.03 MM1 are(2.80±0.29)×10~(15)cm~(-2)and(1.80±0.42)×10~(16)cm~(-2)with excitation temperatures of 165±21 K and 170±32 K,*** fractional abundances of NH_2cHO and HNcO toward G358.93-0.03 MM1 are(9.03±1.44)×10~(-10)and(5.80±2.09)×10^(-9).We compare the estimated abundances of NH_2cHO and HNcO with the existing threephase warm-up chemical model abundance values and notice that the observed and modeled abundances are very *** conclude that NH_2cHO is produced by the reaction of NH_2and H_2cO in the gas phase toward G358.93-0.03 ***,HNcO is produced on the surface of grains by the reaction of NH and cO toward G358.93-0.03 *** also find that NH_2cHO and HNcO are chemically linked toward G358.93-0.03 MM1.

Design of Enterprise Storage Architecture for Optimal Business continuity

This paper presents a solution for optimal business continuity, with storage architecture for enterprise applications, which will ensure zero data loss and quick recovery. The solution makes use of Internet protocol storage area network （IPSAN）, which is used for data management without burdening the application server, as well as mix of synchronous and semi-synchronous replication techniques to replicate data to remote disaster recovery site. We have presented the detailed design of both synchronous and semi-synchronous with case study of using open source database postgres to prove our point for optimal business continuity. The theoretical presentation is also given for the same.

Soil Respiration, Microbial Biomass c and N Availability in a Sandy Soil Amended with clay and Residue Mixtures

crop yields in sandy soils can be increased by addition of clay-rich soil, but little is known about the effect of clay addition on nutrient availability after addition of plant residues with different c/N ratios. A loamy sandy soil （7% clay） was amended with a clay-rich subsoil （73% clay） at low to high rates to achieve soil mixtures of 12%, 22%, and 30% clay, as compared to a control （sandy soil alone） with no clay addition. The sandy-clay soil mixtures were amended with finely ground plant residues at 10 g kg-l： mature wheat （Triticum aestivum L.） straw with a c/N ratio of 68, mature faba bean （Vicia faba L.） straw with a c/N ratio of 39, or their mixtures with different proportions （0% 100%, weight percentage） of each straw. Soil respiration was measured over days 0-45 and microbial biomass c （MBc）, available N, and pH on days 0, 15, 30, and 45. cumulative respiration was not clearly related to the c/N ratio of the residues or their mixtures, but c use efficiency （cumulative respiration per unit of MBc on day 15） was greater with faba bean than with wheat and the differences among the residue mixtures were smaller at the highest clay addition rate. The MBc concentration was lowest in sole wheat and higher in residue mixtures with 50% of wheat and faba bean in the mixture or more faba bean. Soil N availability and soil pH were lower for the soil mixtures of 22% and 30% clay compared to the sandy soil alone. It could be concluded that soil cumulative respiration and MBc concentration were mainly influenced by residue addition, whereas available N and pH were influenced by clay addition to the sandy soil studied.

Microscopic mechanism of unusual lattice thermal transport in TlInTe_(2)

We investigate the microscopic mechanism of ultralow lattice thermal conductivity(κl)of TlInTe_(2)and its weak temperature dependence using a unified theory of lattice heat transport,that considers contributions arising from the particle-like propagation as well as wave-like tunneling of *** we use the Peierls–Boltzmann transport equation(PBTE)to calculate the particlelike contributions(κl(PBTE)),we explicitly calculate the off-diagonal(OD)components of the heat-flux operator within a firstprinciples density functional theory framework to determine the contributions(κl(OD))arising from the wave-like tunneling of *** each temperature,T,we anharmonically renormalize the phonon frequencies using the self-consistent phonon theory including quartic anharmonicity,and utilize them to calculateκl(PBTE)andκl(OD).With the combined inclusion ofκl(PBTE),κl(OD),and additional grain-boundary scatterings,our calculations successfully reproduce the experimental *** analysis shows that large quartic anharmonicity of TlInTe_(2)(a)strongly hardens the low-energy phonon branches,(b)diminishes the three-phonon scattering processes at finite T,and(c)recovers the weaker than T^(−1) decay of the measuredκl.

The response of cells to physical or chemical stimuli is complex,unfolding on time-scales from seconds to days,with or without de novo protein synthesis,and involving signaling processes that are transient or *** combining the technology of microfluidics that supports fast and precise execution of a variety of cell handling operations,with that of mass spectrometry detection that facilitates an accurate and complex characterization of the protein complement of cells,in this work,we developed a platform that supports(near)real-time sampling and proteomelevel capturing of cellular responses to a perturbation such as treatment with *** geometric design of the chip supports three critical features:(a)capture of a sufficient number of cells to meet the detection limit requirements of mass spectrometry instrumentation,(b)fluid delivery for uniform stimulation of the resident cells,and(c)fast cell recovery,lysis and processing for accurate sampling of time-sensitive cellular responses to a *** simulations and microscopy were used to predict and evaluate the flow behavior inside the microfluidic *** analysis of the cellular extracts generated by the chip experiments revealed that the identified proteins were representative of all cellular locations,exosomes,and major biological processes related to proliferation and signaling,demonstrating that the device holds promising potential for integration into complex lab-on-chip workflows that address systems biology *** applicability of the chips to study time-sensitive cellular responses is discussed in terms of technological challenges and biological relevance.

Water Intake and Utilization in Mithun (Bos frontalis):Effect of Environmental Temperature,Rearing System and concentrate Feed Supplement

Seasonal and sexual variations as well as the effect of dry feed supplement on total drinking water intake and its utilization were observed in mithun （Bosfrontalis） - a semi-wild animal found in North Eastern Hill Region （NEHR） of India. In a completely randomized design, twelve adult mithuns （B. frontalis） as per their sex and body weight were assigned in two different rearing systems （free grazing and free grazing with dry concentrate feed supplementation）, and ten growing male mithuns as per their body weight assigned in two different levels of dry concentrate feed supplementation （1.o kg and 2.0 kg dry concentrate feeds on green forage based diet） and in two different seasons （summer and winter）. It was observed that the environmental temperature had a significant effect on drinking water intake by mithuns. Drinking water consumption （per unit of body weight） was significantly （P 〈 0.05） higher in summer than in winter. Supplementation of concentrate feed on free grazing animals resulted in increase in water consumption. Total water consumption （drinking as well as performed water） was found to be 15.18 litres per 100 kg body weight by growing mithun. Feed dry matter and digestible nutrient intakes by growing mithun were observed to be increased with the increase of supplementation of dry concentrate feed. Roughage to concentrate ratio did not affect the nutrient digestibility. Mithun calves drank an average of 4.30 litres water for each kg of dry matter intake. Metabolic water was significantly （P〈0.01） increased with the increase of supplementation of concentrate feed whereas water turn over, which depends upon the body weight of the animals, did not differ significantly on offering of lower or higher level of dry feed. Faecal water loss of growing mithun was decreased with the increase in intake of concentrate feed and was estimated to be 33 - 46 % of total water intake.
