Myocarditis and pericarditis following mRNA vaccination in autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic disease patients: A single‐center experience

Introduction:The mRNA vaccines Comirnaty(Pfizer/BioNTech)and Spikevax(Moderna)are considered safe and highly effective against SARS‐***,they are also associated with a small increased risk of pericarditis and *** is concern about an increased risk of these complications in patients with autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases(AIRD).Case Report:We describe three patients with pre‐existing AIRD who developed myocarditis or pericarditis shortly after receiving their first dose of the Pfizer‐BioNTech *** first case is a 31‐year‐old female with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)and anti‐phospholipid syndrome(APLS)who presented 7 days after receiving the Pfizer‐BioNTech vaccine and was diagnosed with myopericarditis following a positive troponin and abnormal transthoracic echocardiogram(TTE).The second case is a 29‐year‐old man with seronegative inflammatory arthritis and APLS who presented 7 days after receiving the first dose of the Pfizer‐BioNTech *** troponin and TTE were unremarkable however his ECG showed widespread ST ***,the third case is a 34‐year‐old man with Behcet's disease with a history of recurrent *** developed a recurrence of symptoms approximately 7 days after his Pfizer‐BioNTech vaccine and self‐commenced prednisolone at *** had normal laboratory and radiological *** patients received prednisolone resulting in a quick recovery and resolution of ***:In this review we discuss the association between myocarditis,pericarditis and mRNA COVID‐19 vaccines,those who are at greatest risk and current clinical *** also discuss the possible increased risk in AIRD patients and the current research supporting this.

Well productivity in the Asmari carbonate formation of southwest Iran has decreased in recent years as a result of production *** production rate must be maintained below 1500 STB/day to prevent water *** this study,a gas lift well is modeled using data from one of the producing wells of this *** analysis is performed using lift-gas injection rates and wellhead pressures at different reservoir pressures and water cut conditions to optimize *** aspects are considered to optimize the artificial gas injection rates at different tubing head pressures and water cut *** the lift-gas injection rate from 0.4 MMscf/day to 1 MMscf/day enhances the oil production rate by 37.71%and 43.89%for 10%and 30%water cut conditions,*** injection rates of 5.2 MMscf/day and 5.4 MMscf/day are determined to be economically optimal for 30%water cut with tubing head pressures of 260 psig and 270 psig,respectively.

This study presents a neural network-based model for predicting linear quadratic regulator(LQR)weighting matrices for achieving a target response *** on the expected weighting matrices,the LQR algorithm is used to determine the various responses of the *** responses are determined by numerically analyzing the governing equation of motion using the state-space *** training a neural network,four input parameters are considered:the time history of the ground motion,the percentage reduction in lateral displacement,lateral velocity,and lateral acceleration,Output parameters are LQR weighting *** study the effectiveness of an LQR-based neural network(LQRNN),the actual percentage reduction in the responses obtained from using LQRNN is compared with the target percentage ***,to investigate the efficacy of an active control system using LQRNN,the controlled responses of a system are compared to the corresponding uncontrolled *** trained neural network effectively predicts weighting parameters that can provide a percentage reduction in displacement,velocity,and acceleration close to the target percentage *** on the simulation study,it can be concluded that significant response reductions are observed in the active-controlled system using ***,the LQRNN algorithm can replace conventional LQR control with the use of an active control system.

A novel double side friction stir Z shape lap-butt welding(DS-FSZW)process was proposed to achieve excellent mechanical properties of Al/Cu medium-thick dissimilar *** influence of welding parameters on weld microstructure and properties of DS-FSZW joint were systematically *** indicated that defect-free medium-thick Al/Cu DS-FSZW joint could be achieved under an optimal welding ***-FSZW joint was prone to form void defects in the bottom of the second-pass *** recrystallization mechanisms at the top and middle of the weld nugget zone(WNZ)were continuous dynamic recrystallization(CDRX)and geometric dynamic recrystallization(GDRX).While the major recrystallization mechanism at the bottom of the WNZ was ***-FSZW joint of the optimal welding condition with 850 r/min-400 mm/min was produced with a continuous thin and crack-free IMCs layer at the Al/Cu interface,and the maximum tensile strength of this joint is 160.57 MPa,which is equivalent to 65.54%of pure Cu base ***,the corrosion resistance of Al/Cu DS-FSZW joints also achieved its maximum value at the optimal welding parameter of 850 r/min-400 mm/*** demonstrates that the DS-FSZW process can simultaneously produce medium-thick Al/Cu joints with excellent mechanical performance and corrosion resistance.

Post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography pancreatitis: a review

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) has continued to develop over recent decades with regard to both indications for its use and improvements in technique. The most common complication is post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP) with incidence rates being reported at ～10%. The exact mechanism of PEP is unknown but is likely multifactorial with papillary edema contributing to the activation of the inflammatory cascade playing an important role. Selected risk factors include patient-related factors (female sex, younger age, sphincter of Oddi dysfunction, and history of PEP) and procedure-related factors (difficult cannulation, multiple pancreatic duct guidewire passes, pancreatic acinarization, multiple pancreatic duct contrast injections, and precut sphincterotomy). Several preventative prophylactic strategies have been posited; however, current guidelines recommend the use of rectal non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), aggressive intravenous (IV) fluid hydration, and pancreatic duct stents. Appropriate patient selection and the use of noninvasive imaging modalities for diagnosis of pancreaticobiliary abnormalities is a key aspect in prevention. Future studies continue to explore various pharmacologic, procedure-related, and combination strategies for prevention and will be important as the use of ERCP continues to grow.

Oncologic outcomes with and without amniotic membranes in robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy:A propensity score matched analysis
