The effect of typical seawater cations on the adhesion of mussel protein Mefp-1 based on dissipative quartz crystal microbalance

Mussels are common anchoring organisms that adhere to the surfaces of various substrates with their *** adhesion of mussel to substrates is contingent upon the presence of mussel foot proteins,of which Mytilus edulis foot protein-1(Mefp-1)has been identified as the most abundant *** has been found that lipids are involved in the mussel adhesion process and can facilitate *** this research,the adhesion behavior of Mefp-1 on various substrate surfaces under the effect of typical seawater cations with or without the presence of lipid were investigated using a quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation(QCM-D).Results indicate that the presence of cations Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+),Na^(+),and K^(+)leads to varying degrees of reduction in the adhesion performance of Mefp-1 on different *** degree of this reduction,however,was much alleviated in the presence of palmitic acid,which is involved in the mussel adhesion ***,the involvement of palmitic acid is advantageous for mussel protein adhesion to the substrate surface in the marine *** study illustrated the significant contribution of palmitic acid to mussel adhesion,which can help to better understand biofouling mechanisms and develop biomimetic adhesive materials.

Scheelite （CaWO4） mineral holds promise as a cost-effective and efficient catalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction （OER）crucial in renewable energy ***,challenges such as limited active site exposure and low electrocatalytic performance need *** this work,we have fabricated two-dimensional （2D） CaWO4nanosheets from scheelite minerals via a straightforward ultrasonic exfoliation method and evaluated their efficacy as OER *** to scheelite powders,these 2D nanosheets exhibited superior crystallinity and a 1.26-fold increase in electrochemical surface area,promoting active site *** 2D CaWO4nanosheet electrode demonstrated outstanding OER catalytic performance,achieving a current density of 20 mA/cm2at an overpotential of 290 m V in alkaline conditions,which was lower than that of bulk CaWO4electrodes （～340 mV）.Density functional theory calculations attributed this enhanced catalytic performance to moderate adsorption of oxygenated intermediates （*OH,*O,and*OOH） on the W sites of 2D *** situ electrochemical atomic force microscopy tests also confirmed the catalytic enhancement by 2D CaWO4nanosheets during *** findings demonstrate the potential of affordable and abundant mineral resources in advancing electrochemical catalysts for oxygen evolution,highlighting their broader application in sustainable energy technologies.

This paper is devoted to the number of isolated zeros of the hyperelliptic integrals ■whereΓhis a compact component of the hyperelliptic cures{（x,y）|y2+P5（x）=h,h∈Σ};here,Σis a maximal open interval on which a continuous family of ovals Γhexists,and P5（x） is a polynomial of x with degree *** is shown in Liu and Xiao （2013）,P5（x） can be assumed to have the form ■and there exist some real numbers α and β such that I（h） has at least two isolated zeros if （v,u）∈Θ,where ■However,the problem whether two is also the upper bound of the number of isolated zeros of I（h） remains open for （v,u）∈Θ.In this paper,we propose a new simplification technique,which can reduce the degree of a polynomial by at least *** combined with the new criterion and some available methods and techniques shows that two is indeed the lowest upper bound on the number of isolated zeros of I（h） for some subset ofΘ,which partially gives a positive answer to the open *** methods and techniques developed in this paper may be used to study other similar problems.

Broad area quantum cascade lasers(BA QCLs)have significant applications in many areas,but suffer from demanding pulse operating conditions and poor beam quality due to heat accumulation and generation of high order modes.A structure of mini-array is adopted to improve the heat dissipation capacity and beam quality of BA *** active region is etched to form a multi-emitter and the channels are filled with In P:Fe,which acts as a lateral heat dissipation channel to improve the lateral heat dissipation efficiency.A device withλ~4.8μm,a peak output power of 122 W at 1.2%duty cycle with a pulse of 1.5μs is obtained in room temperature,with far-field single-lobed *** result allows BA QCLs to obtain high peak power at wider pump pulse widths and higher duty cycle conditions,promotes the application of the mid-infrared laser operating in pulsed mode in th e field of standoff photoacoustic chemical detection,space optical communication,and so on.

We demonstrate a bipolar graphene/F_(16)CuPc synaptic transistor(GFST)with matched p-type and n-type bipolar properties,which emulates multiplexed neurotransmission of the release of two excitatory neurotransmitters in graphene and F_(16)CuPc channels,*** process facilitates fast-switching plasticity by altering charge carriers in the separated *** complementary neural network for image recognition of Fashion-MNIST dataset was constructed using the matched relative amplitude and plasticity properties of the GFST dominated by holes or electrons to improve the weight regulation and recognition accuracy,achieving a pattern recognition accuracy of 83.23%.These results provide new insights to the construction of future neuromorphic systems.

With their high economic value and cultural significance,modern roses are one of the most important ornamental *** of their complicated genetic background and tetraploid nature,the creation of high-density genetic maps of roses has been a challenge that has slowed the pace of molecular breeding for modern *** current construction of tetraploid genetic maps based on existing diploid rose genomes could lead to inaccurate marker information and genotyping ***,we generated the first high-quality tetraploid genome of Rosa chinensis‘Yunzheng Xiawei.'Utilizing Illumina,PacBio,and Hi-C sequencing technologies,we assembled a genome of 858.59 Mb with *** of inheritance analysis using PolyOrigin indicated that modern roses show both quadrivalent and bivalent *** on this reference genome,high-density genetic maps were constructed using MSTmap with nearly saturated *** trait locus(QTL)analysis was conducted using WinQTLCart and R/qtl for flavonoids and carotenoids,and 11 QTL clusters were *** combining the genome annotation,phylogenetic analyses,and gene expression analyses,we were able to identify several key genes related to flavonoid and carotenoid *** study provides the basis for further genetic analyses of highly heterozygous tetraploid roses and could facilitate the progress of marker-assisted selection in modern roses.
