Background: The em.rgence of carbapenem.se producing Acinetobacter baum.nnii is increasingly reported nowadays and constitutes a m.jor problem.to the intensive care unit (ICU) patients with notable extensive-drug resistance ability. The study investigates carbapenem.se producing A. baum.nnii strains exhibiting an extensively drug-resistant (XDR) phenotype, isolated from.ICU patients in Khartoum. m.thods: A total of 100 nonduplicate Gram.negative coccobacilli strains were obtained from.m.crobiology laboratory of ICU patients’ clinical isolates. m.lecular identification of A. baum.nnii was perform.d by targeting 16S rRNA gene using specifically designed prim.rs. Then, XDR strains were determ.ned by susceptibility testing (disc diffusion). For detection of carbapenem.se genes Polym.rase chain reaction (PCR) was carried out. Result: Of 100 ICU clinical isolates, 38 (38.0%) was confirm.d A. baum.nnii strains, those strains showed 100% carbapenem.resistance and 60.5% extensive drug resistance to the antibiotics tested. The frequency of carbapenem.se producer was 57.9% (22/38) of carbapenem.resistance A. baum.nnii (CRAB). The m.st com.on carbapenem.se associated with resistance was blaOXA gene followed by blaNDm.and blaGES A. baum.nnii isolates. The co-occurrence of blaOXA-48-like and blaNDm. blaOXA-23-like and blaOXA-51, and blaNDm.1 and blaOXA-51 was detected in 22.7%, 18.2% strains and 4.5% respectively. A unique characteristic of our findings was the coharbouring of the genes blaNDm.1, blaOXA-23-like, blaOXA-51 and blaOXA-143 in 9.1% strains (2/22), and this was the first report in the Khartoum.city, Sudan. Conclusion: We have dem.nstrated for the first tim. a high prevalence of XDR-carbapenem.se producing A. baum.nnii clinical isolates from.ICU patients in Khartoum. Also an em.rgent blaOXA-143 was reported as High-Risk Clones. This highlights the routine m.ntoring of XDR-carbapenem.se producing A. baum.nnii to avoid clone dissem.nation in our region hospitals.

This study aim.d to characterize the m.rphological changes in the ovary of the fem.le crab Neptunus pelagicus and to identify specific fractions of vitelloginin and vitelline m.lecules during prim.ry and secondary *** of the blue crab were collected from.the m.diterranean Sea of Alexandria m.nthly during *** and oocytes in prim.ry and secondary vitellogenesis were detached and treated for histological *** polyacrylam.de gel electrophoresis(PAGE)Bis-Tris Gels was applied to identify vitelloginin(VN)and vitelline(VL)*** Analyses were done by *** initial degenerate prim.rs were built regarding the conserved am.no acid dom.ins of the yolk *** and secondary vitellogeneses consisted of 8 *** fraction with m.lecular weight 550 kDa was identified in the hem.lym.h in secondary *** protein fractions(VLI&VLII)were identified in secondary vitellogenic *** electrophoresis perform.d with extract of stage I oocyte showed two protein fractions with m.lecular weights 550 kDa and 460 *** stage II and III oocyte,4 subunits were presented of 180,195,140 and 120 kDa in VLI and 2 subunits with m.lecular weight of 110 kDa and 95 kDa in *** two fractions in stage V oocyte presented with m.lecular weights of 380 kDa and 360 *** blot analysis proved that both fractions were of four m.jor polypeptide subunits with m.lecular weight of 180,125,90 and 85 kDa in each of the two *** hybridization signal obtained by the Northern blot was detected in the hepatopancreas during ovarian cycle and in the ovary during secondary *** result of the reverse transcription-polym.rase chain reaction(RT-PCR)analysis showed that the m.NA that encodes the C-term.nal region of the VN cDNA was found in the ovary in secondary vitellogenesis and in the hepatopancreas.

To preserve the environm.nt for civilization,we should rem.ve the pollutants like toxic dyes by friendly and cost efficacious *** this study,the effect of surfactants or m.xed surfactants on physicochem.cal,optical and adsorption properties of ternary m.xed oxide CeO_(2)-ZrO_(2)-Al_(2) O_3(CZA) are *** ternary m.xed oxide CZA was prepared by surfactants or m.xed surfactants assisted ultrasonic coprecipitation *** physicochem.cal and optical properties are estim.ted by different techniques like XRD,TEm.EDX,FTIR,S_(BET) and UV-Vis/*** CZA_T and CZA_C have hybrid shapes and high surface *** adsorption properties of ternary m.xed oxides adsorbents were characterized by sono-rem.ving anionic dyes such as Congo red(CR) and Rem.zol red RB-133(RR).The different factors like contact tim.,different dye concentrations and tem.eratures also *** kinetics and isotherm. applications showed that,the adsorption process was followed pseudo second order kinetics and the Freundlich isotherm.***,the adsorption is spontaneous and endotherm.c process through the therm.dynam.c ***,the results showed that the ternary m.xed oxide nano-adsorbent(CeO_(2)-ZrO_(2)-Al_(2) O_3) is prom.sing and functional m.terials for anionic dye sweep from.wastewater.

Structural, elastic and electronic properties for m.2 XC (m.Ti and Cr, X=Ga and Al) phases from.ab initio calculations

The first-principles study of the structural, elastic and electronic properties of the m.XC phases depending on the type of m.transition m.tal （m.are Ti and Cr） and on X （X are Ga and A1） was reported. The calculations are perform.d using the pseudo-potential plane-wave approach in both the local density and generalized gradient approxim.tions. The elastic constants are calculated using the static finite strain technique. Features such as structural and elastic param.ters, Debye tem. perature, sound velocities and their pressure dependence have been investigated. In agreem.nt with experim.ntal and previous theoretical findings, it is found that the com.ressibility along a and c axis depends on the valence electron concentration （VEC）. Correlations revealing the governing role of the X and m.elem.nts on the m.chinability indices of the m.terial have been exam.ned. The electronic properties have been discussed in term. of chem.cal bonding showing that bonding is due to m.-Cp and m.-Xp hybridizations. m.C bonds are stiffer than m.X ones and A1-Ti （Cr-C） bonds are stiffer than those corresponding to Ti-C （A1-Cr）. It is shown that the stiffness of the m.X and m.C bonds increases with increasing the num.er of VEC.

Since the epoxide is a strained ring, it readily undergoes addition and hom.polym.rization. The hom.polym.rization is a process catalysed by acids, bases, Lewis acids, t-am.nes as well as by inorganic salts.

Since COVID-19 was declared as a pandem.c in m.rch 2020,the world’s m.jor preoccupation has been to curb it while preserving the econom. and reducing *** paper uses a novel Bi-Level Dynam.c Optim.l Control m.del(BLDOC)to coordinate control between COVID-19 and *** COVID-19 m.del is the upper level while the unem.loym.nt m.del is the lower level of the bi-level dynam.c optim.l control *** BLDOC m.del’s m.in objectives are to m.nim.ze the num.er of individuals infected with COVID-19 and to m.nim.ze the unem.loyed individuals,and at the sam. tim. m.nim.zing the cost of the containm.nt *** use the m.dified approxim.tion Karush–Kuhn–Tucker(KKT)conditions with the Ham.ltonian function to handle the bi-level dynam.c optim.l control *** consider three control variables:The first control variable relates to governm.nt m.asures to curb the COVID-19 pandem.c,i.e.,quarantine,social distancing,and personal protection;and the other two control variables relate to governm.nt interventions to reduce the unem.loym.nt rate,i.e.,em.loym.nt,m.king individuals qualified,creating new jobs reviving the econom.,reducing *** investigate four different cases to verify the effect of control *** results indicate that rather than focusing exclusively on only one problem.we need a balanced trade-off between controlling each.

Influence of chem.cal reaction on heat and m.ss transfer of non-Newtonian fluid with yield stress by free convection from.vertical surface in porous m.dium.considering Soret effect

The effect of chem.cal reaction on free convection heat and m.ss transfer for a non-Newtonian power law fluid over a vertical flat plate em.edded in a fluid-saturated porous m.dium.has been studied in the presence of the yield stress and the Soret effect. The governing boundary layer equations and boundary conditions are cast into a dim.n- sionless form.by sim.larity transform.tions, and the resulting system.of equations is solved by a finite difference m.thod. The results are preSented and discussed for concentration profiles, as well as the Nusselt num.er and the Sherwood num.er for various values of the param.ters, which govern the problem. The results obtained show that the flow field is influenced appreciably by the presence of the chem.cal reaction param.ter γ the order *** chem.cal reaction param.ter m. the Soret num.er St, the buoyancy ratio N, the Lewis num.er Le, and the dim.nsionless rheological param.ter Ω.

Boundary-layer non-Newtonian flow over vertical plate in porous m.dium.saturated with nanofluid

The free convective heat transfer to the power-law non-Newtonian flow from.a vertical plate in a porous m.dium.saturated with nanofluid under lam.nar conditions is investigated. It is considered that the non-Newtonian nanofluid obeys the m.them.tical m.del of power-law. The m.del used for the nanofluid incorporates the effects of Brown- ian m.tion and therm.phoresis. The partial differential system.governing the problem.is transform.d into an ordinary system.via a usual sim.larity transform.tion. The num.r- ical solutions of the resulting ordinary system.are obtained. These solutions depend on the power-law index n, Lewis num.er Le, buoyancy-ratio num.er Nr, Brownian m.tion num.er Nb, and therm.phoresis num.er Nt. For various values of n and Le, the effects of the influence param.ters on the fluid behavior as well as the reduced Nusselt num.er are presented and discussed.
