以郑州“7·20”特大洪涝灾害链作为案例,采用危险与可操作性分析(HAZOP)法,对城市洪涝灾害的节点和传播路径进行建模,并结合复杂网络理论,选用度、边介数、平均路径长度、连通度等指标定量分析城市洪涝灾害链的脆弱性、关键节点和关键传播路径。在此基础上,提出断链减灾策略,并对其减灾效果进行科学评估。结果表明郑州“7·20”特大洪涝灾害链中节点度数、点介数和特征向量中心度都将关键事件指向交通中断、抗洪物资供应不足、应急指挥不力、地铁进水、生产线爆炸等,而“抗洪物资供应不足-暴雨洪涝”“交通中断-抗洪物资供应不足”“应急指挥不力-暴雨洪涝”这三条边对整个灾害链网络的结构起到关键作用。应急供电、应急通信、应急交通和停工停产可以有效断链减灾,并且以应急供电的断链减灾效果最显著。相关结果可以为有效应对城市洪涝灾害链提供知识图谱,辨识关键节点和传播路径,并建立断链减灾策略。

Comprehensive and quantitative assessment of human physical activity in daily life is valuable for healthcare,especially for those who suffer from obesity and neurological disorders or are at high risk of *** wearable devices,e.g.,smartwatches,are insufficient and inaccurate for monitoring highly dynamic limb movements and assessing human ***,we report a new wearable leg movement monitoring system incorporating a custom-made motion sensor with machine learning algorithm to perceive human motion accurately and comprehensively during diverse walking and running *** system enables real-time multimodal perceptions of personal identity,motion state,locomotion speed,and energy expenditure for wearers.A general law of extracting real-time metabolic energy from leg movements is verified although individual gaits show *** addition,we propose a novel sensing configuration combining unilateral lower leg movement velocity with its angular rate to achieve high accuracy and good generalizability while simplifying the wearable *** performances in personal identification(accuracy of 98.7%)and motion-state recognition(accuracy of 93.7%)are *** wearable system also exhibites high-precision real-time estimations of locomotion speed(error of 3.04%to 9.68%)and metabolic energy(error of 4.18%to 14.71%)for new subjects across various time-varying *** wearable system allows reliable leg movement monitoring and quantitative assessment of bodily kinematic and kinetic behaviors during daily activities,as well as safe identity authentication by gait parameters,which would greatly facilitate smart life,personal healthcare,and rehabilitation training.

Human proximity to water and its dynamics are important to understanding the socio-hydrological dilemma between using floodplains and avoiding flood ***,previous studies have not distinguished between the water proximity of built-up land in floodplains(BLF)and the water proximity of built-up land outside floodplains(BLOF).This article provides a new and spatiotemporal perspective of the BLF water proximities for understanding the changing flood risk in *** results show that China’s BLFs had an average water proximity of 5.41 km in *** of the BLFs(62%,25.889103 km2)were located within 3 km of *** 1990 to 2014,China’s BLFs increased rapidly by 81%from23.069103 km2 to 41.749103 km2,of which a large portion(57%)was concentrated in water surroundings(≤km),shortening the distance between BLFs and waterbodies by 169 *** BLF growth concentrated in water surroundings even in areas where BLFs have an overall increasing distance from *** the increases in the BLFs and their proximity to waterbodies can increase flood exposure and exacerbate flood *** scientific community and policymakers should pay attention not only to the volume of BLF growth,but also its spatial relationship with waterbodies.

In recent years,there has been extensive research on object detection methods applied to optical remote sensing images utilizing convolutional neural *** these efforts,the detection of small objects in remote sensing remains a formidable *** deep network structure will bring about the loss of object features,resulting in the loss of object features and the near elimination of some subtle features associated with small objects in deep ***,the features of small objects are susceptible to interference from background features contained within the image,leading to a decline in detection ***,the sensitivity of small objects to the bounding box perturbation further increases the detection *** this paper,we introduce a novel approach,Cross-Layer Fusion and Weighted Receptive Field-based YOLO(CAW-YOLO),specifically designed for small object detection in remote *** address feature loss in deep layers,we have devised a cross-layer attention fusion *** noise is effectively filtered through the incorporation of Bi-Level Routing Attention(BRA).To enhance the model’s capacity to perceive multi-scale objects,particularly small-scale objects,we introduce a weightedmulti-receptive field atrous spatial pyramid ***,wemitigate the sensitivity arising from bounding box perturbation by incorporating the joint Normalized Wasserstein Distance(NWD)and Efficient Intersection over Union(EIoU)*** efficacy of the proposedmodel in detecting small objects in remote sensing has been validated through experiments conducted on three publicly available *** experimental results unequivocally demonstrate the model’s pronounced advantages in small object detection for remote sensing,surpassing the performance of current mainstream models.

In this study, we explored spatial patterns and the temporal trends in high-temperature events （HTEs） for the mainland of China dudng 1961-2014 based on a dailymaximum surface-air-temperature dataset of 494 stations and nonparametric trend detection methods. With three thresholds of 35℃ （HTE35）, 37℃ （HTE37）, and 40℃ （HTE40）, HTEs occurred in 82%, 71%, and 37% of the surveyed stations and showed an overall increasing trend in both frequency and intensity during 1961-2014. In northern and southeastem China, HTEs showed a significant increasing trend in both frequency and intensity, whilst a decreasing trend for both was observed in central China. Despite such regional heterogeneity, HTEs overwhelmingly presented three-phase characteristics in all three representative regions and throughout China; the phases are 1961-1980, 1980-1990, and 1990-2014. Both frequency and intensity of HTEs have strongly increased during 1990-2014 at 54.86%, 48.38%, and 23.28% of the investigated stations for HTE35, HTE37 and HTE40, respectively. These findings implied that HTEs adaptation should be paid further attention in the future over China because the wide spread distribution of HTEs and their increasing trends in both frequency and intensity during recent decades might pose challenges to the sustainability of human society and the ecosystem.

The escalating deployment of distributed power sources and random loads in DC distribution networks hasamplified the potential consequences of faults if left uncontrolled. To expedite the process of achieving an optimalconfiguration of measurement points, this paper presents an optimal configuration scheme for fault locationmeasurement points in DC distribution networks based on an improved particle swarm optimization ***, a measurement point distribution optimization model is formulated, leveraging compressive *** model aims to achieve the minimum number of measurement points while attaining the best compressivesensing reconstruction effect. It incorporates constraints from the compressive sensing algorithm and networkwide viewability. Subsequently, the traditional particle swarm algorithm is enhanced by utilizing the Haltonsequence for population initialization, generating uniformly distributed individuals. This enhancement reducesindividual search blindness and overlap probability, thereby promoting population diversity. Furthermore, anadaptive t-distribution perturbation strategy is introduced during the particle update process to enhance the globalsearch capability and search speed. The established model for the optimal configuration of measurement points issolved, and the results demonstrate the efficacy and practicality of the proposed method. The optimal configurationreduces the number of measurement points, enhances localization accuracy, and improves the convergence speedof the algorithm. These findings validate the effectiveness and utility of the proposed approach.

Photovoltaic(PV)and battery energy storage systems(BESSs)are key components in the energy market and crucial contributors to carbon emission reduction *** systems can not only provide energy but can also generate considerable revenue by providing frequency regulation services and participating in carbon *** study proposes a bidding strategy for PV and BESSs operating in joint energy and frequency regulation markets,with a specific focus on carbon reduction benefits.A two-stage bidding framework that optimizes the profit of PV and BESSs is *** the first stage,the day-ahead energy market takes into account potential real-time forecast *** the second stage,the real-time balancing market uses a rolling optimization method to account for multiple ***,a real-time frequency regulation control method is proposed for the participation of PV and BESSs in automatic generation control(AGC).This is particularly relevant given the uncertainty of grid frequency fluctuations in the optimization model of the real-time balancing *** control method dynamically assigns the frequency regulation amount undertaken by the PV and BESSs according to the control interval in which the area control error(ACE)*** case study results demonstrate that the proposed bidding strategy not only enables the PV and BESSs to effectively participate in the grid frequency regulation response but also yields considerable carbon emission reduction benefits and effectively improves the system operation economy.

Radioisotope leaking from nuclear waste has become an intractable problem due to its gamma radiation and strong water *** this work,a novel porous ZnFC-PA/PSF composite sphere was fabricated by immobilization of ferrocyanides modified zinc phytate into polysulfone(PSF)substrate for the treatment of Cs-contaminated *** maximum adsorption capacity of ZnFC-PA/PSF was 305.38 mg/g,and the removal efficiency of Cs+was reached 94.27%within 2 *** ZnFC-PA/PSF presented favorable stability with negligible dissolution loss of Zn^(2+)and Fe^(2+)(<2%).The ZnFC-PA/PSF achieved high-selectivity towards Cs+(K_(d)=2.24×10^(4)mL/g)even in actual geothermal *** adsorption mechanism was inferred to be the ion-exchange between Cs^(+)and K^(+).What’s more,ZnFC-PA/PSF worked well in the fixed-bed adsorption(E=91.92%),indicating the application potential for the hazardous Cs^(+)removal from wastewater.

Perceptions and Controversies on Cholera in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Field in the Late Qing Dynasty

At the beginning of the initial cholera outbreak in China,Wang Qingren(王清任),after years of clinical trials,became an early representative who discovered the infectious characteristics and observed the course of cholera in the field of traditional Chinesse medicine(TCM).Kou Langao(寇兰皋)and Xu Zimo(徐子默),both medical practitioners,constructed a diagnosis and treatment system for cholera with cold patterns under the theory of *** represented“School of Cholera with Cold Patterns”(SCCP).In the 1860s,with the influence of Wang Shixiong’s(王士雄)studies on the nature of cholera under the theory of epidemic febrile disease,the“School of Cholera with Heated Patterns”(SCHP)prevailed *** two schools complemented each other in theories and contributed to the integrity of TCM in cholera diagnosis and *** reviewing previous literature,books,clinical cases,and historical materials in medical field,this article aims 1)to summarise the influence of TCM on the cognitive development towards cholera in the late Qing dynasty;2)to explore the origin of the controversy between SCCP and SCHP from historical evidence;3)to summarize the historical lessons from the debate over cholera in TCM based on the principle of treatment based on pattern identification,and offer suggestions for the current prevention and treatment of new diseases using TCM.
