A Comparative Study of Two Tree-Based Models for Predicting Flyrock Velocity at Open Pit Bench.Mining

Blasting is a cost-effective tech.ique to break h.rd rock volumes by using explosives in th. mining and civil engineering realms. Moreover, alth.ugh.blasting is a designed process and plays an indispensable role in th.se industries, it can also h.ve multiple adverse environmental impacts. One such.effect is flyrock, wh.ch.poses risks to nearby mach.nery, and residential structures, and can even lead to injuries or fatalities. To optimize blasting efficiency as well as restrict side effects, prediction of th. blast aftereffects is vital. Th.refore, th. present work focuses on using two mach.ne learning meth.ds to predict th. velocity of flyrock in th. open pit mine. To address th.s issue, a compreh.nsive dataset was gath.red from th. open pit mine. Th.n, Decision Tree and Random Forest algorith.s were employed to predict flyrock velocity. Th. Random Forest model demonstrated superior performance compared to th. Decision Tree model. Noneth.less, th. performance of th. Decision Tree model was deemed satisfactory, as evidenced by its coefficient of determination value of 0.83, mean squared error (MSE) of 4.2, and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of 5.6%. Considering th.se metrics, it is reasonable to conclude th.t tree-based algorith.s can be effective in predicting flyrock velocity.

Purpose: To evaluate th. visual acuity outcome and th. various factors influencing visual outcome in patients undergoing surgical removal of type 1+ 2 ch.roidal neovascularization (CNV) caused by age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Meth.ds: We studied th. records of 54 patients (54 eyes)-followed for at least 1 year after surgical excision of CNV associated with.AMD. Results: Th. final visual acuity was 0.4 or better in 4% , 0.1 to 0.3 in 46% , and worse th.n 0.1 in 50% of th. patients. Final visual acuity was improved in 39% , stable in 37% , and worse in 24% . Stepwise regression sh.wed th.t th. distance between th. center of th. foveal avascular zone and th. CNV margin h.d th. greatest effect on final visual acuity. Conclusions: Surgical excision of type1+ 2 CNV due to AMD may be indicated for preserving preoperative visual acuity. Th. distance between th. center of th. foveal avascular zone and th. CNV margin is th. most important factor affecting final visual acuity.

Purpose: We evaluated th. effects of th. peeling of th. internal limitingmembrane (ILM) during vitrectomy in diabetic cystoid macular edema (CME) patients. Meth.ds: Visual outcome and intraoperative and postoperative complications were evaluated retrospectively in 84 CME patients (100 eyes), all of wh.m h.d been followed for at least 1 year postoperatively. Before January 2001, we did not perform ILM peeling at our h.spitals; 57 patients (66 eyes) treated before 2001 were included in th.s retrospective study as th. non-peeling group. After January 2001, ILM peeling was performed in 27 (34 eyes) CME patients, wh. were included in th.s study as th. peeling group. In th. peeling group, indocyanine green (ICG) staining was performed at th. time of ILM peeling. Visual acuity improved significantly after vitrectomy regardless of ILM peeling. Results: Visual acuity improved gradually from 6 month. to 1 year after th. operation, and improved furth.r at th. final observation point in both.groups. Visual acuity did not differ significantly between th. two groups at any time point. Th.re was no difference in th. incidence of intraoperative and postoperative complications between th. two groups. Th.re were no adverse events associated with.ICG-assisted ILM peeling. Conclusions: Visual acuity improved with.vitrectomy for diabetic cystoid macular edema in both.groups. ILM peeling was not found to improve visual acuity postoperatively.

Meth.ds: We studied th. records of 92 patients (92 eyes) wh. were followed for at least 1 year after surgical excision of CNV associated with.AMD. Results: Th. final visual acuity was 0.4 or better in 21% , 0.1 to 0.3 in 66% , and worse th.n 0.1 in 13% of th. patients. Final visual acuity was improved in 62% , stable in 29% , and worse in 9% . Stepwise regression identified CNV size as a significant factor influencing final visual acuity (R=0.287, P=0.0045). Conclusions: Surgical excision of CNV for AMD is indicated for patients with.subfoveal active type 2 CNV with.a visual acuity of 0.3 or worse. To ach.eve better postoperative visual acuity it is important to operate on AMD patients in th. early stage of CNV.

GSSSS family h.ve been carried out based on th. proposed correct *** th. numerical results demonstrate th.t using th. existing state-of-th.-art implementation reduces th. time accuracy to be first-order accurate in time,wh.le th. proposed implementation preserves th. correct time accuracy to yield second-order.
