3-Bromopyruvate(3BP) is a new, promising anticancer alkylating agent with several notable functions. In addition to inhibiting key glycolysis enzymes including hexokinase II and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), 3BP also selectively inhibits mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, angiogenesis, and energy production in cancer cells. Moreover, 3BP induces hydrogen peroxide generation in cancer cells(oxidative stress effect) and competes with the LDH substrates pyruvate and lactate. There is only one published human clinical study showing that 3BP was effective in treating fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. LDH is a good measure for tumor evaluation and predicts the outcome of treatment better than the presence of a residual tumor mass. According to the Warburg effect, LDH is responsible for lactate synthesis, which facilitates cancer cell survival, progression, aggressiveness, metastasis, and angiogenesis. Lactate produced through LDH activity fuels aerobic cell populations inside tumors via metabolic symbiosis. In melanoma, the most deadly skin cancer, 3BP induced necrotic cell death in sensitive cells, whereas high glutathione(GSH) content made other melanoma cells resistant to 3BP. Concurrent use of a GSH depletor with 3BP killed resistant melanoma cells. Survival of melanoma patients was inversely associated with high serum LDH levels, which was reported to be highly predictive of melanoma treatment in randomized clinical trials. Here, we report a 28-year-old man presented with stage IV metastatic melanoma affecting the back, left pleura, and lung. The disease caused total destruction of the left lung and a high serum LDH level(4,283 U/L). After ethics committee approval and written patient consent, the patient received 3BP intravenous infusions(1-2.2 mg/kg), but the anticancer effect was minimal as indicated by a high serum LDH level. The concentrations of 20 trace elements in several ceramics tiles and ceramic composites used in Egypt were elementally analyzed by neutron activation analysis(nAA) technique. The samples and standard were irradiated with reactor for 4 h(in the Second Research Egyptian Reactor(Et-RR-2)) with thermal neutron flux 5.9×10 13 n/(cm 2·s).The gamma-ray spectra obtained were measured for several times by means of the hyper pure germanium detection system(HPGe). Also a solid state nuclear track detector(SSnTD) CR-39, was used to measure the emanation rate of radon for these samples. The radium concentrations were found to vary from 0.39—3.59 ppm and the emanation rates were found to vary from (0.728—5.688) × 10 -4 kg/(m 2· s).The elemental analysis of the ceramic tiles and ceramic composites have a great importance in assigning the physical properties and in turn the quality of the material.

Introduction: Fibroscan is a recent, non-invasive and non-irradiating diagnostic method. It is based on the principle of ultrasound, which enables liver tissue elasticity to be quantified using a probe, and fibrosis to be assessed. Fibroscan measures both elasticity correlated with hepatic fibrosis and CAP correlated with steatosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate hepatic fibrosis and steatosis using pulse elastometry (Fibroscan/CAP). Methods: This was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study in which 170 patients were included. It was conducted from October 1 2021 to December 31 2023, i.e. 27 months, in an outpatient clinic in the hepato-gastroenterology department of the Donka national hospital of the CHU Conakry. Results: Of the 170 patients identified, 87 were male (51%) and 83 female (49%), giving a M/F sex ratio of 1.04. The average age of our patients was 40. The 30 - 50 age group was the most affected, with a frequency of 58.23% (n = 99), followed by the 50 age group with a frequency of 29.41% (n = 50). Hepatomegaly, steatotic liver on ultrasonography, transaminase elevation and obesity were the main indications, respectively: (21.76%), (17.65%), (14.71%), and (13.53%). The examinations were requested by hepatogastroenterologists (47.06%), diabetologists (35.88%) and general practitioners (29%). Of the 170 patients, 100 patients (58.82%) had no significant fibrosis F0F1, 39 (22.94%) had moderate fibrosis F2, 20 patients (11.76%) had severe fibrosis F3 and 11 patients (6.47%) had fibrosis F4. Hepatic steatosis: 62 patients (36.47%) had no S0 steatosis;29.41% had S1 steatosis, 20% had S2 steatosis and 24 patients (14.11%) had S3 steatosis. Abdominal ultrasound revealed a normal liver in 67.05% of patients, hepatic steatosis in 29.41% and non-decompensated cirrhosis in 6 cases. 磷灰石[Ca(PO)(OH,F,Cl)]是磷的主要来源。通常,采用浮选法将磷灰石和脉石矿物分离,获得可用于化工的磷精矿。磷灰石矿中的主要脉石矿物是白云石[Ca Mg(CO)]和方解石(Ca CO)。但三种含钙矿物的表面物理和化学性质相似,导致采用传统的脂肪酸类捕收剂无法将其高效分离。对此,本论文开发了一种选择性好、可生物降解的氨基酸类捕收剂——n-月桂酰肌氨酸钠(SnLS)。通过单矿物、人工混合矿和实际矿浮选试验,考察了SnLS对三种含钙矿物可浮性的影响。借助Zeta电位、傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)和密度泛函理论(DFT)计算研究了SnLS在白云石、方解石和磷灰石上的吸附机理。主要结论如下:(1)单矿物浮选试验结果表明,SnLS对白云石和方解石的捕收性能较好。在矿浆p H 10和SnLS用量为5×10 mol/L的最佳浮选条件下,白云石和磷灰石、方解石和磷灰石的浮选回收率差值分别为83%和86%。(2)将磷灰石与白云石或方解石按质量比1:1混合形成的人工混合矿浮选试验结果表明,SnLS可实现磷灰石与白云石和方解石的反浮选分离。采用上述最佳浮选条件,针对磷灰石与白云石混合矿,可获得PO品位和回收率分别为16.8%和85.5%的磷灰石精矿,针对磷灰石与方解石混合矿,可获得PO品位和回收率分别为29.5%和83.1%的磷灰石精矿。(3)机理研究表明,磷灰石天然疏水性弱于白云石和方解石,SnLS在白云石和方解石表面的吸附更强。相比磷灰石,SnLS羧基中的O原子与白云石表面的Ca/Mg原子以及方解石表面的Ca原子化学键合能力更强。(4)磷矿实际矿浮选试验结果表明,采用SnLS可获得高品位和高回收率的磷精矿。经过破碎、磨矿、筛分和脱泥后,针对原矿品位PO的红海磷矿,采用2×10 mol/L的SnLS和p H 10的浮选条件,可获得品位和回收率分别为30.9%和81.5%的磷精矿;针对原矿品位为21.1%的尼罗河磷矿,采用5×10 mol/L的SnLS和p H 10的条件,可获得PO品位和回收率分别为30.5%和80%的磷精矿。图X幅,表X个,参考文献X篇
