The effect of urban shrinkage has gradually become a new ***,urban shrinkage may exert great influence on land use efficiency(LUE)through various urban subsystems,but there is currently limited research examining these *** the Super-SBM-Undesirable model and the Structural Equation Model(SEM),this study calculates the LUE of shrinking cities in Northeast China and simulates the process of urban shrinkage affecting *** quantify the process of urban shrinkage affecting LUE,three mediation variables,namely the economy,public services,and innovation,are used as latent variables to apply *** results show that urban shrinkage will affect LUE through a direct path and indirect *** the direct path,urban shrinkage leads to an improvement in *** the indirect paths,the economy and innovation will transmit the negative effect of urban shrinkage on LUE,while public services will reverse this *** important contribution of this study is that it quantifies the paths of urban shrinkage affecting LUE,thereby expanding the understanding of urban shrinkage effect and laying a foundation for the sustainable development of shrinking cities.

Although the effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)on host plants have been well documented,whether the effects of AMF on parental generations affect offspring performance is not fully *** conducted a common garden experiment to determine whether AMF status of host plants(Medicago truncatula)affects phenotype and transcriptome expression of their *** from four type parental treatments(low-phosphorus(P)soil without AMF,low-P soil with AMF,high-P soil without AMF and high-P soil with AMF)were grown under low-P(LPS)and normal-P soil(OHS)*** fowering pattern of LP offspring was similar to their parents,such that plants with AMF fowered earlier than those without AMF under OHS condition but were opposite under LPS *** transcriptome differential analysis showed that some differential transcripts(45 for parental plants growing under low-P condition and 3 for parental plants growing under high-P condition)expression patterns between offspring were comparable,and that only affected by parental AMF status regardless of the P environment that offspring was ***(146 for parental plants growing under low-P condition and 2.for parental plants growing under high-P condition),however,were affected both by the parental AMF status and the offspring P *** addition,the number of differential transcripts between offspring whose parental plants grew under high-P condition was far less than under low-P *** results indicate that AMF may not only affect the current generation of host plants but also affect the offspring especially when their parents have experienced a stressful environment.

In this paper,we present a new vertex-centered arbitrary LagrangianEulerian(ALE)finite volume scheme for two-dimensional compressible *** our scheme,the momentum equation is discretized on the vertex control volume,while the mass equation and the energy equation are discretized on the sub-cells which are included in the vertex control *** attain the average of the fluid velocity on the vertex control volume directly by solving the conservation *** we can obtain the fluid velocity at vertex with the reconstructed polynomial of the *** fluid velocity is chosen as the mesh velocity,which makes the mesh move in a Lagrangian *** WENO(Weighted Essentially Non-Oscillatory)reconstructions for the density(the total energy)and the velocity are used to make our scheme achieve the anticipated *** with the general vertexcentered schemes,our scheme with the new approach for the space discretization can simulate some multi-material flows which do not involve large *** addition,our scheme has good robustness,and some numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the anticipated accuracy and the good properties of our scheme.

The surrounding rock of roadways exhibits intricate characteristics of discontinuity and *** address these complexities,this study employs non-local Peridynamics(PD)theory and reconstructs the kernel function to represent accurately the spatial decline of long-range ***,modifications to the traditional bondbased PD model are *** considering the micro-structure of coal-rock materials within a uniform discrete model,heterogeneity characterized by bond random pre-breaking is *** approach facilitates the proposal of a novel model capable of handling the random distribution characteristics of material heterogeneity,rendering the PD model suitable for analyzing the deformation and failure of heterogeneous layered coal-rock mass *** established numerical model and simulation method,termed the sub-homogeneous PD model,not only incorporates the support effect but also captures accurately the random heterogeneous micro-structure of roadway surrounding *** simulation results obtained using this model show good agreement with field measurements from the Fucun coal mine,effectively validating the model’s capability in accurately reproducing the deformation and failure mode of surrounding rock under bolt-supported(anchor cable).The proposed subhomogeneous PD model presents a valuable and effective simulation tool for studying the deformation and failure of roadway surrounding rock in coal mines,offering new insights and potential advancements.

This work reports the use of defect engineering and carbon supporting to achieve metal-doped phosphides with high activities and stabilities for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)in alkaline ***,the nitrogen-doped carbon nanofiber-supported Ni-doped CoP_(3) with rich P defects(Pv·)on the carbon cloth(p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC)is synthesized through a plasma-assisted phosphorization *** p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC is an efficient and stable catalyst for the HER and the *** only needs overpotentials of 107 and 306 mV to drive 100 mA cm^(-2. for the HER and the OER,*** catalytic activities are higher than those of other catalysts reported *** high activities of the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC mainly arise from its peculiar structural *** density functional theory calculation indicates that the Pv·richness,the Ni doping,and the carbon supporting can optimize the adsorption of the H atoms at the catalyst surface and promote the strong electronic couplings between the carbon nanofiber-supported p-NiCoP with the surface oxide layer formed during the OER *** gives the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC with the high activities for the HER and the *** used in alkaline water electrolyzers,the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC shows the superior activity and excellent stability for overall water splitting.
