Multiple primary malignancies in a single patient are relatively rare but have increase in frequency in recent decades. This may be a result of medical advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, a possible effect of new carcinogens in the industrial environment, and longer life span allowing another primary cancer to develop. Among those with multiple primary malignancies, double cancer is commonly seen, while triple cancers occur in 0.5% of patients, and quadruple or quintuple cancers occur in only less than 0.1% of the population.

To determine the cause(s)of perturbations seen in dayside equatorial ground magnetograms,we conducted a systematic survey of simultaneous ground-based and geosynchronous satellite-based observations during the 90-day period from December 1,2020 to February 28,*** examined Huancayo ground magnetometer observations from 14:00:00 to 20:00:00 UT each day,during which Huancayo passed through local *** those data we chose perturbation events selected on the basis of large(>20 nT)event amplitude and classified the selected events as responding primarily to solar wind pressure,or to variations in the north/south component of the interplanetary magnetic field(IMF Bz),or perhaps in part to *** results show that an equivalent number of events were identified for each model during this 90-day *** in the lagged solar wind dynamic pressure routinely correspond to nearly simultaneous sudden impulses recorded at both geosynchronous orbit and on the *** in IMF Bz produce erosion signatures at geosynchronous orbit and can correspond to ground events if lag times for reconnection to enhance convection in the magnetosphere are taken into account.

Antimicrobial resistance(AMR)has become a global health crisis in need of novel *** this end,antibiotic combination therapies,which combine multiple antibiotics for treatment,have at-tracted significant attention as a potential approach for combating *** facilitate advances in anti-biotic combination therapies,most notably in investigating antibiotic interactions and identifying synergistic antibiotic combinations however,there remains a need for automated high-throughput plat-forms that can create and examine antibiotic combinations on-demand,at scale,and with minimal reagent *** address these challenges,we have developed a Robotic-Printed Combinatorial Droplet(RoboDrop)platform by integrating a programmable droplet microfuidic device that generates antibiotic combinations in nanoliter droplets in automation,a robotic arm that arranges the droplets in an array,and a camera that images the array of thousands of droplets in *** further implement a resazurin-based bacterial viability assay to accelerate our antibiotic combination *** a demonstration,we use RoboDrop to corroborate two pairs of antibiotics with known interactions and subsequently identify a new synergistic combination of cefsulodin,penicillin,and oxacillin against a model *** *** therefore envision RoboDrop becoming a useful tool to efficiently identify new synergistic antibiotic combinations toward combating AMR.

Effective synthesis planning powered by deep learning(DL)can significantly accelerate the discovery of new drugs and ***,most DL-assisted synthesis planning methods offer either none or very limited capability to recommend suitable reaction conditions(RCs)for their reaction ***,the prediction of RCs with a DL framework is hindered by several factors,including:(a)lack of a standardized dataset for benchmarking,(b)lack of a general prediction model with powerful representation,and(c)lack of *** address these issues,we first created 2 standardized RC datasets covering a broad range of reaction classes and then proposed a powerful and interpretable Transformer-based RC predictor named *** careful design of the model architecture,pretraining method,and training strategy,Parrot improved the overall top-3 prediction accuracy on catalysis,solvents,and other reagents by as much as 13.44%,compared to the best previous model on a newly curated ***,the mean absolute error of the predicted temperatures was reduced by about 4℃.Furthermore,Parrot manifests strong generalization capacity with superior cross-chemical-space prediction *** analysis indicates that Parrot effectively captures crucial chemical information and exhibits a high level of interpretability in the prediction of *** proposed model Parrot exemplifies how modern neural network architecture when appropriately pretrained can be versatile in making reliable,generalizable,and interpretable recommendation for RCs even when the underlying training dataset may still be limited in diversity.

BACKGROUND Splenectomy has previously been found to increase the risk of cancer development,including lung,non-melanoma skin cancer,leukemia,lymphoma,Hodgkin’s lymphoma,and ovarian *** risk of cancer development in liver transplantation(LT)with simultaneous splenectomy remains *** To compare hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)recurrence and de novo malignancy between patients undergoing LT with and without simultaneous *** We retrospectively analyzed the outcomes of 120 patients with HCC within the University of California San Francisco criteria who received LT with(n=35)and without(n=85)simultaneous splenectomy in the Tri-Service General *** and multivariate Cox regression analyses for cancer-free survival and mortality were *** comparison of the group survival status and group cancer-free status was done by generating Kaplan–Meier survival curves and log-rank *** The splenectomy group had more hepatitis C virus infection,lower platelet count,higher-fetoprotein level,and longer operating *** and age were both positive independent factors for prediction of cancer development[hazard ratio(HR):2.560 and 1.057,respectively,P<0.05].Splenectomy and hypertension were positive independent factors for prediction of mortality.(HR:2.791 and 2.813 respectively,P<0.05).The splenectomy group had a significantly worse cancer-free survival(CFS)and overall survival(OS)curve compared to the non-splenectomy group(5-year CFS rates:53.4%vs 76.5%,P=0.003;5-year OS rate:68.1 vs 89.3,P=0.002).CONCLUSION Our study suggests that simultaneous splenectomy should be avoided as much as possible in HCC patients who have undergone LT.

股票联动性是金融市场关注的重要问题之一。本文基于沪深2006年至2019年的权益ETF数据,通过ETF持仓明细数据建立股票网络,借助空间计量模型检验了ETF标的证券网络之间的联动溢出效应。研究发现ETF标的股三个主要交易特征,回报率、成交量和流动性,都表现出空间网络联动溢出效应。随着时间的推移,ETF数量增加,更多股票被纳入ETF成分股范围,股票间的空间关系变得更为紧密,进一步增强了空间联动传染性,展示了ETF标的证券空间网络溢出效应的动态趋势。机制分析表明,ETF独特的套利活动是股票空间联动传染增加的重要微观机制。研究表明ETF持股网络结构对股票联动传染具有重要影响,机构投资者持股结构对金融稳定的综合影响具有重要意义。
