The aim of this study was to determine the correlation of ultrasonographic estimates of testicular volume with true testicular volume and to compare the accuracy and precision of the three most commonly utilized formulas.A total of 15 patients underwent high-resolution ultrasonography(US)analysis for testicular volume before *** volume was calculated using three common formulas:(1)length(L)×width(W)×height(H)×0.52;(2)the empirical formula of Lambert:L×W×H×0.71;and(3)L×W^(2)×*** actual volume of each removed testis was estimated directly by a water displacement ***,four volume measurements were obtained for each of the 30 *** obtained data were analyzed by paired t-test and linear regression *** three US formula measurements significantly underestimated the true testicular *** largest mean biases were observed with US formula 1,which underestimated the true volume by 3.3 mL(31%).US formula 2 had a smaller mean difference from the true volume,with an underestimation of only 0.6 mL(6%).Regression analysis showed that formulas 1 and 2 had better R^(2) values than formula ***,all three US formulas displayed a strong linear relationship with the true volume(R^(2)=0.872−0.977;P<0.001).Among the commonly used US formulas,the empirical formula of Lambert(L×W×H×0.71)provided better accuracy than the other two formulas evaluated,and better precision than formula ***,the formula of Lambert is the optimal choice in clinical practice.

AIM:To evaluate the effect of double balloon endoscope(DBE)on the endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography(ERCP)success rate in patients with a history of BillrothⅡ(BⅡ)***:From April 2006 to March 2007,32 patients with a BⅡgastrectomy underwent 34 ERCP *** all cases,the ERCP procedures were started using a *** intubation of the afferent loop or reaching the papilla failed,we changed to DBE for the ERCP procedure(DBE-ERCP).We assessed the success rate of afferent loop intubation,reaching the major papilla,selective cannulation,possibility of therapeutic approaches,procedure-related complications,and the overall success ***:Among the 32 patients with a history of BⅡgastrectomy,the duodenoscope was successfully passed up to the papilla in 22 patients(69%),and cannulation was successfully performed in 20 patients(63%).Six patients(2 with failure in afferent loop intubation and 4 with failure in reaching the papilla)underwent *** DBE reached the papilla in all the 6 patients(100%)and selective cannulation was successful in 5 patients(83%).Four patients(67%)who had common bile duct stones were successfully *** patient underwent diagnostic ERCP only and the other one,in whom selective cannulation failed,was diagnosed with papilla cancer proven by *** were no complications related to the *** overall ERCP success rate increased to 88%(28/32).CONCLUSION:The overall ERCP success rate increases with DBE in patients with a previous BⅡgastrectomy.

Objective: Coagulation factor VII(FVII) triggers the extrinsic pathway of blood coagulation. In our previous study, we showed that FVII plays an important role in tumorigenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). However, the role of FVII polymorphism in HCC is still unknown. The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between HCC carcinogenesis and single nucleotide polymorphism of ***: Thirty-seven HCC patients and 30 healthy donors were recruited in this study. Four common FVII gene polymorphisms– a decanucleotide insertion at position –323(–323 ins10-bp), a G to T substitution at position –401(–401 G/T), a G to A substitution at position –402(–402 G/A), and a T to C substitution at position –122(–122 T/C) – were analyzed by sequencing or commercialized assays using genomic DNA isolated from blood samples. Clinicopathological parameters between control and HCC subjects were compared according to the specific ***: The most common nucleotide variation was –402 G/A. However, no statistically significant difference was observed between healthy controls and HCC subjects for all four polymorphisms in terms of genotype distribution and allele frequencies,indicating that these polymorphisms may not affect HCC tumorigenesis. Furthermore, no association was found between–402 G/A polymorphisms and tumor stage, recurrence, and overall ***: Our results indicate that FVII polymorphisms may not be a key factor that clinically impact tumorigenesis and outcomes of HCC, although further investigations should be conducted to confirm our findings.

In this paper, we discussed the field failures of the brownish discolored lines like snail trails in PV modules. We were successful simulation snail trails in laboratory and outdoor field. We had found out some types EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) encapsulants and back sheets which had the serious snail trails but others were snail trails free. Furthermore, according to IEC 61215 accelerated aging testing, we also found only within 2% power loss after these modules impacted by snail trails. The main power losses over 5% were come from cell micro cracks before snail trail formation. That snail trails occurrence means solar cells should have micro cracks. In here, we contributed the snail trail effects and avoided the failures in future photovoltaic modules performance.

【目的】婴幼儿血管瘤是婴幼儿时期最常见的自限型良性软组织肿瘤,依照侵犯深度分为浅表型、混合型及深部型血管瘤。虽然瘤体可以自行消退,但是消退后往往会在原来病灶处残留不同程度和类型的皮肤质地改变,整体外观预后不佳。这样的皮肤损伤若发生在面部,往往会给患儿带来了巨大的负面心理影响。本研究纳入混合型及深部型婴幼儿血管瘤,通过评价瘤体消退后的皮肤预后,分析影响预后的因素,为临床诊疗决策提供依据和帮助。【方法】对2008年至2011年于上海市交通大学医学院附属第九人民医院就诊的混合型及深部型婴幼儿血管瘤患儿进行随访。依照随访照片评判是否为正常皮肤外观及是否发生皮肤残留外观改变(包括毛细血管扩张、纤维脂肪组织残余、皮肤皱褶、或疤痕生成),并请不同医生进行瘤体消退程度(Volume regression,VR score)及皮肤外观改变的严重程度(Sequelae severity,S score)的评级后,对瘤体消退后的皮肤预后及其相关因素进行总结及分析。【结果】最终收取280例含有随访照片的东亚血统患儿随访信息,其中有111例(39.6%)完全消退并且呈现正常皮肤的外观。在瘤体消退后皮肤外观改变的事件中,毛细血管扩张的发生率最高(96例,34.3%),纤维脂肪残余次之(66例,23.6%),皮肤皱褶及疤痕发生率较低(24例,8.6%及28例,10%)。多因素回归分析显示,瘤体所在部位及患儿初诊年龄对瘤体消退程度及瘤体消退后皮肤外观正常比例皆有影响。在48例自然病程的已消退混合型及深部型婴幼儿血管瘤中,26例(54.2%)消退后恢复为正常皮肤外观,剩余的例数中,15例(68.2%)残留纤维脂肪组织,8例(36.3%)出现皮肤毛细血管扩张,且面中央区域的深部型及混合型瘤体较容易留下皮肤质地及外观改变。【结论】国内超过三分之一未经治疗的深部型及混合型婴幼儿血管瘤消退后皮肤无法恢复为正常皮肤外观和质地。瘤体所在部位、患儿初诊年龄及瘤体类型对瘤体最终消退程度和瘤体消退后的皮肤外观产生一定的影响。

AIM: The Lewis b (Leb) antigen has been implicated as a possible binding site for attachment of Helicobacter pylori (H pylori)to gastric mucosa. However, studies both supporting and denying this association have been reported in the literature. Differences in secretor (Se)genotype have been suggested as a possible reason for previous discrepancies. Therefore, we investigated the relationship between Le and Se genotypes and H pylori infection rates in people with peptic ulcer or gastric ***: Peripheral blood samples were obtained from 347 patients with endoscopic evidence of peptic ulcer disease (235 cases of duodenal ulcer, 62 of gastric ulcer,and 50 of combined duodenal ulcer/gastric ulcer) and 51patients with gastric cancer on endoscopy. Peripheral blood specimens from 101 unrelated normal volunteers were used as controls. Lewis phenotype was determined using an antibody method, whereas Le and Se genotypes were determined by DNA amplification and restriction enzyme analysis. Gastric or duodenal biopsies taken from patients with endoscopic evidence of peptic ulcer or gastric cancer were cultured for H pylori. Isolates were identified as H pylori by morphology and production of urease and catalase. The H pylori infection status was also evaluated by rapid urease test (CLO test), and urea breath test (13C-UBT). Results of studies were analyzed by chi-square test (taken as significant).RESULTS: H pyloriwas isolated from 83.7% (303/347)of patients with peptic ulcer disease. Statistical analysis did not show any significant difference in Lewis phenotype or genotype between patients with and without H pylori infection. BACKGROUND No prognostic models specific to hepatocellular carcinoma patients receiving surgical resection have been considered strong and convincing enough for survival prediction thus far,and there are no models including only preoperative *** derived a nomogram to predict disease-free survival in a previous *** To simplify our score and compare research outcomes among other scoring *** We retrospectively reviewed data from 1106 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who underwent liver resection at the Linkou chang Gung Memorial Hospital between April 2003 and December *** analyses were conducted to identify the significant survival ***,Harrell’s C-index,and Akaike information criterion were compared between our score,AJCC 8^(th)edition,Tokyo score,and Taipei Integrated Scoring System(TTV-CTPAFP model).RESULTS Among the 1106 patients,731(66.1%)had tumor recurrence at a median followup of 83.9 *** risk factors were identified:platelet count,albumin level,indocyanine green retention rate,multiplicity,and radiologic total tumor *** were divided into three risk groups,and the 5-year survival rates were 61.7%,39%,and 25.7%,*** C-index was 0.617,which was higher than the Tokyo score(0.613)and the Taipei Integrated Scoring System(0.562)and equal to the value of the AJCC 8th edition(0.617).CONCLUSION The modified score provides an easier method to predict *** treatment can be planned preoperatively by dividing patients into risk groups.

This paper proposes a hybrid multi-object optimization method integrating a uniform design,an adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system(ANFIS),and a multi-objective particle swarm optimizer(MOPSO)to optimize the rigid tapping parameters and minimize the synchronization errors and cycle times of computer numerical control(CNC)***,rigid tapping parameters and uniform(including 41-level and 19-level)layouts were adopted to collect representative data for ***,ANFIS was used to build the model for the collected 41-level and 19-level uniform layout experiment *** tapping center machines,the synchronization errors and cycle times are important consid-erations,so these two objects were used to build the ANFIS ***,a MOPSO algorithm was used to search for the optimal parameter combinations for the two ANFIS models *** experimental results showed that the proposed method obtains suitable parameter values and optimal parameter combinations compared with the nonsystematic ***,the optimal parameter combination was used to optimize existing CNC tools during the commissioning *** the proportional and integral gains of the spindle could improve resistance to deformation during rigid *** posi-tion gain and prefeedback coefﬁcient can reduce the synchronization errors signiﬁcantly,and the acceleration and deceleration times of the spindle affect both the machining time and synchronization *** proposed method can quickly and accurately minimize synchronization errors from 107 to 19.5 pulses as well as the processing time from 3,600 to 3,248 ms;it can also shorten the machining time signiﬁcantly and reduce simultaneous errors to improve tapping yield,there-by helping factories achieve carbon reduction.
