Despite significant developments in 3D multi-view multi-person (3D MM) tracking, current frameworks separately target footprint tracking, or pose tracking. Frameworks designed for the former cannot be used for the latter, because they directly obtain 3D positions on the ground plane via a homography projection, which is inapplicable to 3D poses above the ground. In contrast, frameworks designed for pose tracking generally isolate multi-view and multi-frame associations and may not be sufficiently robust for footprint tracking, which utilizes fewer key points than pose tracking, weakening multi-view association cues in a single frame. This study presents a unified multi-view multi-person tracking framework to bridge the gap between footprint tracking and pose tracking. Without additional modifications, the framework can adopt monocular 2D bounding boxes and 2D poses as its input to produce robust 3D trajectories for multiple persons. Importantly, multi-frame and multi-view information are jointly employed to improve association and triangulation. Our framework is shown to provide state-of-the-art performance on the Campus and Shelf datasets for 3D pose tracking, with comparable results on the WILDTRACK and MMPTRACK datasets for 3D footprint tracking.

We recently experienced a case of intestinal myiasis caused by maggots of fly, Sarcophagidae. A 61-year-old Japanese man presented in August 2015 with a 2-day his-tory of diarrhea and white maggots in his stool. Two days before his presentation, he took Chinese noodles and lettuce. At his presentation, we observed a number of discharged insect bodies in his stool. The insect bodies were identified as the larvae of the 3rd instar flesh fly Sarcophagidae based on macroscopic and microscopic examinations. We finally diagnosed as intestinal myiasis due to the fact that the patient had the insect bodies mixed in his diet, lettuce. A few days after the treatment with antibiotics, his symptoms disappeared. Accurate diagnosis of intestinal myiasis in developed countries is necessary to avoid ineffective treatment.

Soft In Way Inc. performed the aerodynamic design of a 4 stages high pressure radial blower with vaneless diffusers and deswirlers for DMW Corporation in 2021. The nominal pressure ratio of the machine is near *** a pressure ratio often characterizes what would typically be called a compressor, especially if the compression work is performed in one stage. For the subject machine of the present study, the compression work is split into 4 *** paper describes the design procedure for this blower, initially focusing in depth on the tradeoffs between work split,rotor diameter, and rotor vane back-sweep angle. The paper then presents a further design and optimization work of different variants of diffuser and deswirler based on aerodynamic performance for this 4 stages radial blower. The number of deswirler blades in the return channel was reduced from 19 to 10 in consideration of manufacturing requirements. To minimize losses in performance due to reduced blade number, several candidates of varied geometry shape deswirler blades were obtained from an automatic design and optimization workflow combining with 3D CFD calculation. All candidates of deswirler were implemented to the entire 4 stages radial blower to analyze machine performance by 3D CFD calculation and the best 10-blade deswirler geometry was determined. 3D CFD analysis shows that 10 blades of deswirler is unable to provide the same pressure rise and efficiency as the original design with 19 blades when all other parts of the design, such as rotor and diffuser are maintained the same. To further improve the blower performance, the similar automatic workflow was applied to study vaned diffuser influence to the blower performance based on the new blower configuration. The number and geometry of best diffuser blades was obtained from the automatic workflow and entire blower performance with vaned diffuser was analyzed and validated by 3D CFD calculation. The existence of excess sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS)molecules in a single-walled carbon nanotube(SWNT)solution dispersed by hybridization with SDS leads to unstable atomic force microscopy(AFM)*** this study,we demonstrate sequential dialysis against pure water in order to remove excess SDS molecules from an SDS-SWNT hybrid dispersion.A 1:102 volume ratio of SDS-SWNT dispersion to water in the dialysis was found to be effective in realizing stable AFM observations of the SDS-SWNT hybrids despite imperfect filtering of SDS via *** the other hand,the SDS-SWNT hybrids were stable even when this volume ratio was 1:***,the SDS-SWNT hybrids were present in the solution even when the dialyzed samples were stored for 14 *** results reveal that dialysis under optimal conditions enables improved handling of SDS-SWNT hybrids,particularly for stable AFM observations.

Verification of Inverse Quench-Hardening Phenomena in Bearing Steel Specimens by Experiment and Computer Simulation

The appearance of lower hardness at the surface than at the core after through-hardening of steels is known as "inverse quench-hardening." Pioneering work was performed in the 1970s by establishing a simple test procedure where cylindrical specimens were cooled by air and brine sequentially to produce the effect. This phenomenon was described in relation to the polymer quenching and its effect to the improvement in the fatigue strength of the steel in the 1990s. The hardening mechanism in the same specimens as the pioneering work was recently examined using a finite element simulation method. However, this work has not been completed for lack of experimental quenching cooling curves for the comparisons. In this study, the same experiments using 20mm diameter cylindrical specimens as those of the pioneering work were conducted to obtain cooling curves and hardness distributions for comparing simulated results. Experimental cooling curves showed a temperature recovery as predicted by the simulation. Also the inverse quench-hardening phenomena were found in the measured and simulated hardness distributions of the specimens.

Since 2003, China＇s labor market has been facing two coexisting crises： a rural labor surplus and a severe shortage of migrant labor Using data from the 2000 China Health and Nutrition Survey questionnaire, which covers 288 villages in 36 counties, this paper attempts to find a solution to this dilemma. Specifically, a multinomial logit model, a Mincer- type model and a probit model are applied to examine the effect of educational level on the employment choices for rural laborers, and on the wages and the employment status of migrants. Based on the results of our analysis, we propose the implementation of policy aimed at increasing the educational level of rural dwellers, in conjunction with other policies to eliminate all artificial barriers, to facilitate the migration of rural laborers.
