Walking on the water surface is an effective method for miniature robots to transport payloads with dramatically decreased interfacial drag. Current aquatic robots reported are generally actuated by a beam of focused light that can trigger asymmetrical deformation, enabling the directional movement through horizontal momentum transfer of photoinduced actuation force to the water. However, the operations are heavily dependent on manual manipulation of the focused light, making the long-term actuation and application of the aquatic robots in vast scenarios challenging. Herein, we developed a kind of water striderinspired robot that can autonomously manage the motion on the water surface under solar irradiation, with their direction steerable by a magnetic field. The motion of this bioinspired robot on the water surface was achieved by the use of a solar cell panel as a driving module to enable propulsive motion based on the conversion of light-electric-mechanical energies. The superhydrophobic design of its leg surfaces enables the aquatic robots with weight-bearing and drag-reducing abilities. With the assistance of magnetic navigation, the bioinspired robot can continuously and controllably locomote to the oily spill floating on the water body and collect them with high efficiency. For further demonstration, the treatment of oil spills in a campus pool with high efficiency has also been achieved. This on-site oil-spill treating strategy, taking advantage of a home-made bioinspired robot actuated by natural sunlight under magnetic steering, shows great potential applications in water-body remediation.

The transmission line tower will be affected by bad weather and artificial subsidence caused by the foundation and other factors in the power *** tower’s tilt and severe deformation will cause the building to *** small changes caused the tower’s collapse,but the early staff often could not intuitively notice the changes in the tower’s *** the current tower online monitoring system,terminal equipment often needs to replace batteries frequently due to premature exhaustion of *** to the need for real-time measurement of power line tower,this research designed a real-time monitoring device monitoring the transmission tower attitude tilting and foundation state based on the inertial sensor,the acceleration of 3 axis inertial sensor and angular velocity raw data to pole average filtering pre-processing,and then through the complementary filtering algorithm for comprehensive calculation of tilt angle,the system meets the demand for inclined online monitoring of power line poles and towers regarding measurement accuracy,with low cost and power *** optimization multi-sensor cooperative detection and correction measured tilt angle result relative accuracy can reach 1.03%,which has specific promotion and application value since the system has the advantages of unattended and efficient calculation.

Inertial mixing of acoustically levitated droplets for time-lapse protein crystallography

Varying the chemical consistency of acoustically levitated droplets opens up an in situ study of chemical and biochemical reactions in small ***,the opti-mization of the mixing time and the minimization of the positional instability induced by solution dispensing are necessary for practical applications such as the study of the transient state of macromolecules crystallography during the ligand binding *** this purpose,we study the inertial mixing in a configuration compatible with the room-temperature crystallography using the acoustic levitation diffractometer,therein solution drops ejected at high velocity collide and coalesce with droplets dis-pensed on acoustically levitated and rotating polymer thin-film sample *** the proposed method,we are able to achieve the mixing time of∼0.1 s for sub-micro and a few microliter *** observed short mixing time is ascribed to the rapid penetration of the solution into the droplets and confirmed by a computational fluid dynamic *** demonstrated accelerated solution mixing is tested in a pilot time-lapse protein crystallography experiment using the acoustic levitation *** results indicate the detection of transient ligand binding state within 2 s after the solution dispensing,suggesting the feasibility of the proposed method for studying slow biochemical processes.

How Emotion Nurtures Mentality:The Influencing Mechanism of Social-Emotional Competency on the Mental Health of University Students

Social-Emotional Competency(SEC),regarded as a critical psychological resource for individuals to adapt to social environments,is an effective protective factor for students’mental health,impacting their future success and *** the impact of SEC on university students’mental health can offer valuable insights for nurturing talents with healthy psychological and physical *** on data from two large-scale surveys of Chinese university students,this study designed two comprehensive Multiple Mediation Models involving SEC,stress,coping strategies,and stress reaction to explore the pathway of emotion nurturing *** 1 utilized a parallel mediation model to examine the relationships between SEC,academic stress,interpersonal stress,and stress *** results indicated that SEC negatively predicted academic stress,interpersonal stress,and stress ***,academic and interpersonal stress mediated the relationships between SEC and stress reactions in *** these findings,Study 2 further investigated the role of coping *** constructing a multiple-chain mediation model,it examined the predictive relationships among SEC,academic stress,interpersonal stress,three types of coping strategies,and stress *** findings indicated that SEC negatively predicted stress,problemavoiding strategy,and stress reactions,while positively predicting problem-solving and assistant-seeking ***,the two stress types and three coping strategies significantly mediated the relationship between SEC and stress *** indicated that higher SEC was associated with reduced stress and more adaptive coping strategies and subsequently contributed to more favorable stress *** research explored the impact of university students’SEC on mental health and its relational mechanisms,aiming to provide theoretical reference and practical insights for future efforts in cultivating SEC among uni

Fabrication of micro spherulitic particles of carbamazepine-hesperetin cocrystal via QESD with enhanced manufacturability and dissolution

Granulation is an effective method for improving the flowability of drugs, particularly when they are in needle form. Carbamazepine-hesperetin (CBZ-HPE) cocrystal is a needle-like crystal with low solubility and poor flowability, which limits its application. To address this issue, this study aimed to obtain CBZ-HPE microspheres using the quasi-emulsion solvent diffusion (QESD) technique. The preparation process was monitored using polarized light microscopy, and the formation mechanism was elucidated using the radial distribution function (RDF). The microspheres were extensively characterized using PXRD, DSC, TGA, and SEM. Furthermore, the effects of surfactants, contents, and rotational speeds on the morphology and particle size distribution of microspheres were analyzed to determine the optimal experimental conditions. Based on these findings, naringenin and quercetin, the active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine, were chosen to successfully prepare CBZ-HPE multicomponent microspheres. This research provides a foundation for increasing drug powder properties and drug conjugation through the preparation of microspheres.

Flexible strain sensors are promising in sensing minuscule mechanical signals,and thereby widely used in various advanced ***,the effective integration of hypersensitivity and highly selective response into one flexible strain sensor remains a huge ***,inspired by the hysteresis strategy of the scorpion slit receptor,a bio-inspired flexible strain sensor(BFSS)with parallel through-slit arrays is designed and ***,BFSS consists of conductive monolayer graphene and viscoelastic styrene–isoprene–styrene block *** the synergistic effect of the bio-inspired slit structures and flexible viscoelastic materials,BFSS can achieve both hypersensitivity and highly selective frequency ***,the BFSS exhibits a high gage factor of 657.36,and a precise identification of vibration frequencies at a resolution of 0.2 Hz through undergoing different morphological changes to high-frequency vibration and low-frequency ***,the BFSS possesses a wide frequency detection range(103 Hz)and stable durability(1000 cycles).It can sense and recognize vibration signals with different characteristics,including the frequency,amplitude,and *** work,which turns the hysteresis effect into a"treasure,"can provide new design ideas for sensors for potential applications including human–computer interaction and health monitoring of mechanical equipment.

Long-term fluorescence monitoring of subcellular organelles is crucial for cellular physiology and pathology *** droplets(LDs)are increasingly recognized for their involvement in various biological processes,to influence disease development through diverse behaviors However,existing LD probes face challenges in achieving high targeting and long-term monitoring due to poor photostability and long-term *** quantum dots(CQDs)have gained prominence due to their exceptional fluorescence properties,but their prevalent blue excitation wavelength presents difficulties for long-term ***,we synthesized red-emissive carbon quantum dot(R-CQDs)with superior photobleaching resistance and red-emission,thus enabling harmlessly fluorescence monitoring of cells longer than3 *** addition,R-CQD exhibits suitable amphiphilicity and remarkable solvatochromic effect,allowing rapid targeting to LDs for immediate imaging without cumbersome washing ***,R-CQD shows high performance for extended observation of dynamic LD behavior in various biological processes,which is confirmed by documenting the course of LDs during starvation as well as *** to commercial probes,R-CQD extends live cell imaging time by at least 9-fold,facilitating the study of LD behavioral characteristics under diverse physiological or pathological *** work provides a reliable fluorescence tool for tracking intercellular microenvironment dynamically thus to understand the divers biological or disease mechanism.

为提高Al-Cr-Fe-Co-Ni系高熵合金的力学性能和耐腐蚀性能,研究Mo元素对Al_(0.3)CrFeCoNiMo_(x)(x=0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8,摩尔比,下同)高熵合金的组织结构、力学性能及腐蚀行为的影响。结果表明:随着Mo元素含量的提高,合金由FCC相(x=0.2)转变为FCC+σ双相结构(x=0.4~0.8)。当Mo元素含量由x=0.2增加到x=0.8时,合金的压缩屈服强度和硬度分别由304 MPa和214HV提高到1192 MPa和513HV,塑性应变由>50%降低到5.2%,这主要是由于固溶强化作用和σ相含量增加。该合金系中,Al_(0.3)CrFeCoNiMo_(0.4)和Al_(0.3)CrFeCoNiMo_(0.6)合金具有较高的屈服强度(571~776 MPa)和较好的塑性(塑性应变10.3%~23.8%)。在3.5%(质量分数)NaCl溶液中,Al_(0.3)CrFeCoNiMo_(x)高熵合金发生自钝化,具有较低的腐蚀速率(3.6×10^(-4)~5.9×10^(-4)mm/a),且Mo元素的添加有效抑制了点蚀的发生。合金的耐腐蚀性能随着Mo含量的增加而提高,这与合金表面形成的钝化膜阻抗值和厚度提高有关。适当添加Mo元素可以使Al-Cr-Fe-Co-Ni系合金同时具有良好的力学性能和耐腐蚀性能。

Conservation genomics of the critically endangered Chinese pangolin

The Chinese pangolin(Manis pentadactyla,MP)has been extensively exploited and is now on the brink of extinction,but its population structure,evolutionary history,and adaptive potential are ***,we analyzed 94 genomes from three subspecies of the Chinese pangolin and identified three distinct genetic clusters(MPA,MPB,and MPC),with MPB further divided into MPB1 and MPB2 *** divergence of these populations was driven by past climate *** MPB2 and MPC,recent human activities have caused dramatic population decline and small population size as well as increased inbreeding,but not decrease in genomic variation and increase in genetic load probably due to strong gene flow;therefore,it is crucial to strengthen in situ habitat management for these two *** contrast,although human activities have a milder impact on MPA,it is at high risk of extinction due to long-term contraction and isolation,and genetic rescue is urgently ***1 exhibited a relatively healthy population status and can potentially serve as a source ***,our findings provide novel insights into the conservation of the Chinese pangolin and biogeography of the mammals of eastern Asia.
