Potassium isotopic signatures of modern offshore detrital sediments from different climatic regimes and the implications

Potassium isotopes are a novel tracer for continental *** K isotope studies on chemical weathering generally targeted weathering profiles under a particular climate region,yet the effects of chemical weathering on K isotopes under different climatic backgrounds remain ***,little is known about the K isotope signatures of modern unconsolidated detrital ***,we report K isotopic data of surficial seafloor sediments from continental shelves along the east coast of China(ECC),as well as those around the tropical Hainan island in the northern South China *** ECC sediments have a relatively narrow distribution ofδ^(41)K(with reference to NIST3141a)values,which range from(-0.40±0.01)‰to(-0.57±0.04)‰,with an average of(-0.51±0.09)‰.By contrast,δ^(41)K values of Hainan offshore sediments display a larger variation,ranging from(-0.28±0.07)‰to(-0.67±0.02)‰.Theδ^(41)K values of Hainan offshore sediments exhibit negative correlations with the chemical index of alteration(CIA),Al/K,Ti/K,and total iron(FeT),which underlines the control of chemical weathering on K isotopic signatures of detritus inputs into *** also measured Mg isotope compositions for the same samples;interestingly,the variability inδ^(26)Mg of the samples is small(~0.24‰)for all ECC and Hainan offshore sediments,andδ^(26)Mg values do not show clear correlations with indexes of chemical *** study demonstrates the link between K isotopic variability of detrital sediments and climatic conditions including rainfall intensity,which indicates that K isotopes of the detrital component of marine sediments could be applied to study Earth’s climate in deep ***δ^(41)K values of the offshore detrital sediments are significantly less variable than those of pelagic marine sediments,highlighting the importance of distinguishing the effects of diagenesis and neoformation of clay minerals from continental weathering in attempts to study deep-time climate-weathering

Enhanced mechanical property by introducing bimodal grains structures in Cu-Ta alloys fabricated by mechanical alloying

Dispersion-strengthened copper alloys can achieve ultra-high strength,but usually at the expense of *** this study,a strategy for overcoming strength-ductility tradeoffof Cu alloys is realized through the introduction of bimodal grains ***-Ta alloys with only 0.5 at.%Ta content were successfully prepared by mechanical alloying combined with spark plasm *** samples prepared by one-step and two-step ball milling methods are named as Cu-Ta(Ⅰ)and Cu-Ta(Ⅱ),*** microstructural characterizations revealed that ultra-fine equiaxed grains with uniformly dispersed Ta precipitates were obtained in the Cu-Ta *** strength of 377 MPa for yield strength together with elongation of∼8%was obtained in Cu-Ta(Ⅰ).Bimodal grains structures composed of fine-grain zones and coarse-grain zones were successfully introduced into Cu-Ta(Ⅱ)by a two-step ball milling approach,and both yield strength(463 MPa)and elongation(∼15%)were significantly synergistic *** hardness values of both Cu-Ta(Ⅰ)and Cu-Ta(Ⅱ)were almost kept nearly constant with the increase of annealing time,and the softening temperatures of Cu-Ta(Ⅰ)and Cu-Ta(Ⅱ)are 1018 and 1013℃,reaching 93.9%and 93.5%T m of pure Cu(1083℃),*** reveals that the Cu-0.5 at.%Ta alloys exhibit excellent thermal stability and exceptional softening *** nanoclusters with semi-coherent structures play an essential role in enhancing the strength and microstructural stability of *** structures are beneficial to the activation of back stress strengthening and the initiation and propagation of microcracks,thus obtaining the extraordinary combination of strength and *** study provides a new way to fabricate dispersion-strengthened Cu alloys with high strength,high elongation,excellent thermal stability and softening resistance,which have potential application value in the field of the future fusion reactor.

Deep learning for drug-drug interaction prediction:A comprehensive review

The prediction of drug-drug interactions(DDIs)is a crucial task for drug safety research,and identifying potential DDIs helps us to explore the mechanism behind combinatorial *** wet chemical experiments for DDI are cumbersome and time-consuming,and are too small in scale,limiting the efficiency of DDI ***,it is particularly crucial to develop improved computational methods for detecting drug *** the development of deep learning,several computational models based on deep learning have been proposed for DDI *** this review,we summarized the high-quality DDI prediction methods based on deep learning in recent years,and divided them into four categories:neural network-based methods,graph neural network-based methods,knowledge graph-based methods,and multimodal-based ***,we discuss the challenges of existing methods and future potential *** review reveals that deep learning can significantly improve DDI prediction performance compared to traditional machine *** learning models can scale to large-scale datasets and accept multiple data types as input,thus making DDI predictions more efficient and accurate.

Promoted NH_(3)-SCR activity and hydrothermal stability of Cu-SSZ-50 catalyst synthesized by one-pot method

Nitrogen oxide(NO_(x))is one of the most critical contaminants in the air,and the control of NO_(x)emission from diesel vehicles is very ***-based small-pore zeolites have already been applied for NO_(x)abatement on diesel *** the small-pore zeolites,Cu-SSZ-50 catalysts with good NH_(3)-SCR catalytic activity were believed to have potential for *** this study,a one-pot synthesis method for Cu-SSZ-50 catalysts was developed for the first time,using the co-templates of Cu-TEPA and 2,6-dimethyl-N-methylpyridinium *** this synthesis method,Cu-SSZ-50 with various Cu contents can be obtained by adjusting the amount of Cu-TEPA without the need for a further after-treatment *** addition of Cu-TEPA affected the framework atoms and Cu species,and a lower Si/Al ratio and more SCR active Cu species were *** synthesized catalyst with a Cu/Al ratio of 0.40 exhibited over 90%NO_(x)conversion between 200℃and 450℃for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR).Meanwhile,over 80%NO_(x)conversion could be obtained from 250℃to 450℃after hydrothermal aging at 750℃for 16 *** addition,both L-H and E-R mechanisms were proven to exist for the one-pot-synthesized Cu-SSZ-50 by in situ DRIFTS *** simple synthesis procedure,excellent catalytic activity and hydrothermal stability brighten the prospects for the application of Cu-SSZ-50.

A Normalizing Flow-Based Bidirectional Mapping Residual Network for Unsupervised Defect Detection

Unsupervised methods based on density representation have shown their abilities in anomaly detection,but detection performance still needs to be ***,approaches using normalizing flows can accurately evaluate sample distributions,mapping normal features to the normal distribution and anomalous features outside ***,this paper proposes a Normalizing Flow-based Bidirectional Mapping Residual Network(NF-BMR).It utilizes pre-trained Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)and normalizing flows to construct discriminative source and target domain feature ***,to better learn feature information in both domain spaces,we propose the Bidirectional Mapping Residual Network(BMR),which maps sample features to these two spaces for anomaly *** two detection spaces effectively complement each other’s deficiencies and provide a comprehensive feature evaluation from two perspectives,which leads to the improvement of detection *** experimental results on the MVTec AD and DAGM datasets against the Bidirectional Pre-trained Feature Mapping Network(B-PFM)and other state-of-the-art methods demonstrate that the proposed approach achieves superior *** the MVTec AD dataset,NF-BMR achieves an average AUROC of 98.7%for all 15 ***,it achieves 100%optimal detection performance in five *** the DAGM dataset,the average AUROC across ten categories is 98.7%,which is very close to supervised methods.

Designed imidazole-based supramolecular catalysts for accelerating oxidation/hydrolysis cascade reactions

Reconstructing enzymatic active sites presents a significant challenge due to the intricacies involved in achieving enzyme-like scaffold folding and spatial arrangement of essential functional *** is also a growing interest in building biocatalytic networks,wherein multiple enzymatic active sites are localized within a single artificial system,allowing for cascaded *** this work,we report the self-assembly of imidazole or its derivatives with fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl-modified histidine and Cu2+to fabricate a supramolecular catalyst,which possesses catechol oxidase-like dicopper center with multiple imidazole as the coordination *** electron microscopy,low-temperature X-band continuous-wave electron paramagnetic resonance,K-edge X-ray absorption spectra/the extended X-ray absorption fine structure analysis,and density functional theory modeling were used for the structural characterization of the *** phenol derivatives and the dissolved oxygen were used as the substrates,with the addition of 4-aminoantipyrine to generate a red adduct with a maximum absorbance at 510 nm,for obtaining time-dependent absorbance change curves and estimating the *** results reveal that the addition of imidazole synergistically accelerates the oxidative activity about 10-fold and the hydrolysis activity about 14-fold than fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl modified-histidine/Cu2+.The supramolecular nanoassembly also exhibits the ability to catalyze oxidation/hydrolysis cascade reactions,converting 2′,7′-dichlorofluorescin diacetate into 2′,7′-*** process can be regulated through the methylation of the imidazole component at various *** work may contribute to the design of advanced biomimetic catalysts,and shed light on early structural models of the active sites of the primitive copper-dependent enzymes.

How Emotion Nurtures Mentality:The Influencing Mechanism of Social-Emotional Competency on the Mental Health of University Students

Social-Emotional Competency(SEC),regarded as a critical psychological resource for individuals to adapt to social environments,is an effective protective factor for students’mental health,impacting their future success and *** the impact of SEC on university students’mental health can offer valuable insights for nurturing talents with healthy psychological and physical *** on data from two large-scale surveys of Chinese university students,this study designed two comprehensive Multiple Mediation Models involving SEC,stress,coping strategies,and stress reaction to explore the pathway of emotion nurturing *** 1 utilized a parallel mediation model to examine the relationships between SEC,academic stress,interpersonal stress,and stress *** results indicated that SEC negatively predicted academic stress,interpersonal stress,and stress ***,academic and interpersonal stress mediated the relationships between SEC and stress reactions in *** these findings,Study 2 further investigated the role of coping *** constructing a multiple-chain mediation model,it examined the predictive relationships among SEC,academic stress,interpersonal stress,three types of coping strategies,and stress *** findings indicated that SEC negatively predicted stress,problemavoiding strategy,and stress reactions,while positively predicting problem-solving and assistant-seeking ***,the two stress types and three coping strategies significantly mediated the relationship between SEC and stress *** indicated that higher SEC was associated with reduced stress and more adaptive coping strategies and subsequently contributed to more favorable stress *** research explored the impact of university students’SEC on mental health and its relational mechanisms,aiming to provide theoretical reference and practical insights for future efforts in cultivating SEC among uni

Flexible strain sensors are promising in sensing minuscule mechanical signals,and thereby widely used in various advanced ***,the effective integration of hypersensitivity and highly selective response into one flexible strain sensor remains a huge ***,inspired by the hysteresis strategy of the scorpion slit receptor,a bio-inspired flexible strain sensor(BFSS)with parallel through-slit arrays is designed and ***,BFSS consists of conductive monolayer graphene and viscoelastic styrene–isoprene–styrene block *** the synergistic effect of the bio-inspired slit structures and flexible viscoelastic materials,BFSS can achieve both hypersensitivity and highly selective frequency ***,the BFSS exhibits a high gage factor of 657.36,and a precise identification of vibration frequencies at a resolution of 0.2 Hz through undergoing different morphological changes to high-frequency vibration and low-frequency ***,the BFSS possesses a wide frequency detection range(103 Hz)and stable durability(1000 cycles).It can sense and recognize vibration signals with different characteristics,including the frequency,amplitude,and *** work,which turns the hysteresis effect into a"treasure,"can provide new design ideas for sensors for potential applications including human–computer interaction and health monitoring of mechanical equipment.
