A new method of utilizing high-silica hematite to produce low-silicon molten iron was *** this method,FASTMELT,which comprised direct reduction and melt separation processes,was applied,with highly reactive biochar as the reductant in the direct reduction *** proposed method was experimentally investigated and the results show that the method is *** the direct reduction stage,ore-char briquette could achieve a metallization rate of 84%-88% and residual carbon of 0.27-0.89mass% at temperature of 1373 K,biochar mixing ratio of 0.8-0.9,and reduction time of 15 *** silica particles remained embedded in the iron phase after the *** the melting separation stage,molten iron with a carbon content of 0.02-0.03mass% and silicon content of 0.02-0.18mass%could be obtained from the metallic briquettes under the above-mentioned conditions;the iron recovery rate was83%-91% and impurities in the obtained metal were negligible.

Hydroxylation of 3-nitrotyrosine （3-NT） and 3-NT containing peptide Gly-nitroTyr-Gly in aqueous solution by hydroxyl radical were investigated with gamma irradiation. The structures of the hydroxylated products were confirmed by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry and ^1H NMR spectrometry. The reactivity of 3-nitrotyrosine has been investigated using density functional theory （DFT） calculation.

The three-dimensional (3D) pairing process of coherent structures in a plane mixing layer was simulated numerically with the pseudo-spectral method. The behaviors of spanwise cup-shaped vortices, streamwise rib-shaped vortices and quadrupoles were obtained in terms of their iso-surfaces. The results show that three-dimensional structures are strongly influenced by the initial amplitude of the 3D disturbance, and that in most cases the local pairing finishes in a roughly two-dimensional manner. In pairing region, the streamwise vortices are chaotic after pairing due to the breakdown of the engulfed ribs and especially the subsequent breakdown of the quadrupoles. The surviving ribs extend to the top (or bottom) of the paired vortices under the stretch of them. In addition, it is revealed that three dimensional vortices pairing can enhance the mixing of fluid. Finally, some patterns of numerical flow visualization are presented by computing the passive scalar.

Analysis of post-operative endophthalmitis after pars plana vitrectomy： a 10-year experience at a single center

Background Endophthalmitis can be a devastating complication after pars plana vitrectomy. The incidence of post- vitrectomy endophthalmitis is significantly lower than that of endophthalmitis occurring after other intraocular operations. However, normal post-operative pain and inflammation may mask endophthalmitis and lead to delayed diagnosis and grave visual consequences. This study aimed to summarize the outcomes of cases that underwent pars plana vitrectomy over a 10-year period and to analyze the characteristics of post-vitrectomy endophthalmitis. Methods A retrospective observational case study was conducted on all the cases who underwent pars plana vitrectomy in the Beijing Tongren Hospital between January 1, 2002 and March 31, 2012. All cases of endophthalmitis that occurred during a period of 10 years and 3 months were reviewed, and the possible risk factors, clinical findings, causative organism（s）, and the sources of infection were analyzed. Results Within the 10-year observational period, 14 patients developed endophthalmitis after pars plana vitrectomy. The incidence of post-vitrectomy endophthalmitis （0.05%） was lower than that reported previously from the same center （0.12%）. Staphylococcus epidermidis （five patients, 35.71%） was the most common organism identified in aqueous or vitreous cultures. Eight patients （57.14%） had diabetes mellitus. There was no statistically significant difference （P 〉0.05） in the incidence of endophthalmitis between period 1 （with antibiotic pretreatment） and period 2 （without antibiotic pretreatment）. Surgical procedures for the treatment of endophthalmitis were performed in 10 patients （71.43%）. Conclusions This series of cases showed that the incidence of endophthalmitis after pars plana vitrectomy is lower than what was previously reported in our hospital. A variable degree of corneal edema with relatively normal or mildly increased intraocular pressure was one of the commonly observed characteristics of post-vitrecto

Summary:Nurses'work-related fatigue has been recognized as a threat to nurse health and patient *** aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of fatigue among first-line nurses combating with COVID-19 in Wuhan,China,and to analyze its influencing factors on fatigue.A multi-center,descriptive,cross-sectional design with a convenience sample was *** statistical population consisted of the first-line nurses in 7 tertiary general hospitals from March 3,2020 to March 10,2020 in Wuhan of China.A total of 2667 samples from 2768 contacted participants completed the investgation,with a response rate of 96.35%.Social-demographic questionnaire,work-related questionnaire,Fatigue Scale-14,Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7,Patient Health Questionnaire-9,and Chinese Perceived Stress Scale were used to conduct online *** descriptive statistic of nurses'social-demographic characteristics was conducted,and the related variables of work,anxiety,depression,perceived stress and fatigue were analyzed by Z-tests,nonparametric test and Pearson's correlation *** significant factors which resulted in nurses'fatigue were further analyzed by multiple linear regression *** median score for the first-line nurses'fatigue in Wuhan was 4(2,8).The median score of physical and mental fatigue of them was 3(1,6)and 1(0,3)*** to the scoring criteria,35.06%nurses(w=935)of all participants were in the fatigue status,their median score of fatigue was 10(8,11),and the median score of physical and mental fatigue of them was 7(5,8)and 3(2,4)*** linear regression analysis revealed the participants in the risk groups of anxiety,depression and perceived stress had higher scores on physical and mental fatigue and the statistically significant positive correlation was observed between the variables and nurses'fatigue,the frequency of exercise and nurses'fatigue had a statistically significant negative correlation,and average daily working

OBJECTIVE To investigate the reverse effects of sambutoxin, a representative derivative of 4-hydroxy-2-pyridone with antibacterial, antifungal and antitumor effects, on multidrug resistance(MDR) of K562/ADR cells to adriamycin(ADR) and to elucidate its potential molecular mechanism. METHODS We first investigated the dose-dependent cytotoxic effects of sambutoxin as single treatment on K562 and K562/ADR cells by MTT and CCK-8 assay in order to select the suitable dosage of sambutoxin in the combination treatment. The cytotoxicity of ADR combined with sambutoxin on K562 and K562/ADR cells were also determined by MTT and CCK-8 assays. Then, effects of sambutoxin on the intracellular accumulation of ADR in K562/ADR cells were determined using flow cytometry. The effect of sambutoxin on the efflux function and expression of P-gp in K562/ADR cells was evaluated by Rhodamine123(Rh123) accumulation assay and Western blotting assay respectively. 3 D interactions of human P-gp with sambutoxin, verapamil and adriamycin predicted by docking studies conducted using Sybyl2.1 sofware. Next, the effect of combination treatment of sambutoxin and ADR on the apoptosis of K562/ADR cells was determined by Hoechst 33342 nuclear staining. The expression of the apoptosis related proteins were detected by Western blotting assay. Effect of sambutoxin and ADR on reactive oxygen species(ROS) level in K562/ADR cells was evaluated detected by the DCFH-DA method using fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. Effect of sambutoxin and ADR on EGFR/MAPK and PI3 K/AKT/m TOR signaling pathways in K562/ADR cells was evaluated by Western blotting assay. RESULTS Sambutoxin treatment potently enhanced the susceptibility of K562/ADR cells to ADR in a dose manner and the reversal effect was much more prominent in K562/ADR cells. Sambutoxin increased the intracellular accumulation of ADR and Rh123 in K562/ADR cells. Sambutoxin inhibited protein expression of P-gp through Akt/NF-κB pathway in K562/ADR cells

The tensile strain in inorganic perovskite films induced by thermal annealing is one of the primary factors contributing to the inefficiency and instability of inorganic perovskite solar cells （IPSCs）,which reduces the defect formation ***,a flexible molecule 5-maleimidovaleric acid （5-MVA） was introduced as a strain buffer to release the residual strain of *** anhydride and carboxyl groups in 5-MVA interact strongly with the uncoordinated Pb2+through Lewis acid-base reaction,thus tightly“pull”the perovskite *** in-between soft carbon chain increased the structural flexibility of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite materials,which effectively relieved the intrinsic internal strain of CsPbI2.85Br0.15,resisted the corrosion of external strain,and also reduced the formation of defects such as VIand *** addition,the introduction of 5-MVA improved crystal quality,passivated residual defects,and narrowed energy level ***,power conversion efficiency （PCE） of NiOxbased inverted IPSCs increased from 19.25% to 20.82% with the open-circuit voltage enhanced from 1.164 V to 1.230 *** release of strain also improved the stability of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite films and devices.

The development of flexible supercapacitors(FSCs) capable of operating at high temperatures is crucial for expanding the application areas and operating conditions of supercapacitors. Gel polymer electrolytes and electrode materials stand as two key components that significantly impact the efficacy of hightemperature-tolerant FSCs(HT-FSCs). They should not only exhibit high electrochemical performance and excellent flexibility, but also withstand intense thermal stress. Considerable efforts have been devoted to enhancing their thermal stability while maintaining high electrochemical and mechanical performance. In this review, the fundamentals of HT-FSCs are outlined. A comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art progress and achievements in HT-FSCs, with a focus on thermally stable gel polymer electrolytes and electrode materials is provided. Finally, challenges and future perspectives regarding HT-FSCs are discussed, alongside strategies for elevating operational temperatures and *** review offers both theoretical foundations and practical guidelines for designing and manufacturing HT-FSCs, further promoting their widespread adoption across diverse fields.

Low-cost and fluoride-free synthesis of MFI zeolite nanosheets with enhanced stability for benzene alkylation with ethanol

Zeolite nanosheets with a short b-axis thickness are highly desirable in lots of catalytic reactions due to their reduced diffusion resistance. Nevertheless, conventional synthesis methods usually require expensive structure-directing agents(SDAs), pricey raw materials, and eco-unfriendly fluorine-containing additives. Here, we contributed a cost-effective and fluoride-free synthesis method for synthesizing high-quality MFI zeolite nanosheets through a Silicalite-1(Sil-1) seed suspension and urea cooperative strategy, only with inexpensive colloidal silica as the Si source. Our approach was effective for synthesizing both Sil-1 and aluminum-containing ZSM-5 nanosheets. By optimizing key synthesis parameters,including seed aging time, seed quantity, and urea concentration, we achieved precise control over the crystal face aspect ratio and b-axis thickness. We also revealed a non-classical oriented nanosheet growth mechanism, where Sil-1 seeds induced the formation of quasi-ordered precursor particles, and the(010)crystal planes of these particles facilitated urea adsorption, thereby promoting c-axis-oriented *** obtained ZSM-5 nanosheets exhibited exceptional catalytic performance in the benzene alkylation with ethanol, maintaining stability for over 500 h, which is 5 times longer than traditional ZSM-5 catalysts. Furthermore, large-scale production of ZSM-5 nanosheets was successfully carried out in a 3 L highpressure autoclave, yielding samples consistent with those from laboratory-scale synthesis. This work marks a significant step forward in the sustainable and efficient production of MFI nanosheets using inexpensive and environmentally friendly raw materials, offering the broad applicability in catalysis.
