Growing evidence suggests that myeloid-derived suppressor cells （MDSCs）,which have been named ＂immature myeloid cells＂ or ＂myeloid suppressor cells＂（MSCs）,play a critical role during the progression of cancer in tumor-bearing mice and cancer *** their name implies,these cells are derived from bone marrow and have a tremendous potential to suppress immune *** studies indicated that these cells also have a crucial role in tumor *** can directly incorporate into tumor *** secret many pro-angiogenic factors as *** addition,they play an essential role in cancer invasion and metastasis through inducing the production of matrix metalloproteinases （MMPs）,chemoattractants and creating a pre-metastatic *** evidence supports the idea that cancer stem cells （CSCs） are responsible for tumorigenesis,resistance to therapies,invasion and ***,we hypothesize that CSCs may ＂hijack＂ MDSCs for use as alternative niche cells,leading to the maintenance of stemness and enhanced chemo-and radio-therapy *** countermeasure that directly targets to MDSCs may be useful for against angiogenesis and preventing cancer from invasion and ***,the study of MDSCs is important to understand tumor progression and to enhance the therapeutic efficacy against cancer.

This study aimed to investigate the microstructure and mechanical properties of TixZrVNb(x=1,1.5,2)refractory high-entropy alloys at room and elevated *** TiZrVNb alloy consisted of the body-centered cubic(bcc)matrix with a small amount of V2Zr *** Ti1.5ZrVNb and Ti2ZrVNb alloys exhibited a single-phase bcc *** room temperature,the tensile ductility of the as-cast alloys increased from 3.5%to 12.3%with the increase in the Ti *** TixZrVNb alloys exhibited high yield strength at 600°C,and the ultimate yield strength was more than 900 *** occurred at 800°C,but the ultimate yield strength could still exceed 200 ***,the TixZrVNb alloys displayed low densities but high specific yield strengths(SYSs).The lowest density of TixZrVNb alloys was only 6.12 g/cm^3,but the SYS could reach about 180 MPa·cm^3·g^−1,which is better than those of most reported high-entropy alloys(HEAs).

Cutaneous metastasis from colorectal carcinoma is uncommon, occurring in less than 4% of the whole patients. The most frequently involved are incision scar or abdominal skin, while cutaneous metastasis to neck and chest is very rare. We hereby report a case of synchronous, postoperative cutaneous metastasis from colorectal carcinoma to neck, upper limb and chest skin, which were confirmed by biopsy.

AIM: To investigate changes of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα) and TNFR-Ⅰ expression in vital organs and their significance in the pathogenesis of multiple organ damage associated with endogenous endotoxin following major ***: Wistar rats subjected to a 35 % full-thickness scald injury were sacrificed at 12 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h postburn, respectively. Meanwhile, eight rats were taken as normal controls. Tissue samples from liver, spleen, kidney,lung and intestine were collected to assay tissue endotoxin levels and measure TNF-α and TNFR-Ⅰ expression, In addition, blood samples were obtained for the determination of organ function ***: Endotoxin levels in liver, spleen and lung increased markedly after thermal injury, with the highest level in liver. The gene expression of TNF-α in liver, lung and kidney was up-regulated after thermal injury, while the TNFR-Ⅰ mRNA expression in liver, lung, kidney and intestine was shown decreased throughout the observation period. Thus, the mRNA expression ratio of TNF-α to TNFRⅠ was significantly increased postburn, particularly in pulmonary tissue (67-fold). In addition, the significant correlations between the expression of TNFR-Ⅰ or the expression ratio of TNF-α/TNFR mRNA in liver tissue and serum aspartate aminotransferase levels were noted (P ＜0.05-0.01). Similar results were also obtained between pulmonary TNF-α mRNA expression and myeloperoxidase activities (P＜0.01), whereas there was a highly negative correlation between levels of renal TNFR-Ⅰ mRNA expression and serum ***: Burn injury could result in the translocation of gut-derived endotoxin that was mainly distributed in the liver, spleen and lung. The translocated endotoxin then made the expression of TNF-α and TNFR-Ⅰ mRNA up-regulated and down-regulated respectively in various organs, which might be involved in the pathogenesis of multiple organ damage following burns.

BiVO_(4)porous spheres modified by ZnO were designed and synthesized using a facile two-step *** resulting ZnO/BiVO_(4)composite catalysts have shown remarkable efficiency as piezoelectric catalysts for degrading Rhodamine B(RhB)unde mechanical vibrations,they exhibit superior activity compared to pure *** 40wt%ZnO/BiVO_(4)heterojunction composite displayed the highest activity,along with good stability and *** enhanced piezoelectric catalytic activity can be attributed to the form ation of an I-scheme heterojunction structure,which can effectively inhibit the electron-hole ***,hole(h+)and superoxide radical(·O_(2)^(-))are proved to be the primary active ***,ZnO/BiVO_(4)stands as an efficient and stable piezoelectric catalyst with broad potential application in the field of environmental water pollution treatment.

Although solar steam generation strategy is efficient in desalinating seawater,it is still challenging to achieve continuous solar-thermal desalination of seawater and catalytic degradation of organic ***,dynamic regulations of hydrogen bonding networks and solvation structures are realized by designing an asymmetric bilayer membrane consisting of a bacterial cellulose/carbon nanotube/Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)nanorod top layer and a bacterial cellulose/Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)nanorod(BCH)bottom ***,the hydrogen bonding networks inside the membrane can be tuned by the rich surface–OH groups of the bacterial cellulose and Co_(2)(OH)_(2)CO_(3)as well as the ions and radicals in situ generated during the catalysis ***,both SO_(4)^(2−)and HSO_(5)−can regulate the solvation structure of Na^(+)and be adsorbed more preferentially on the evaporation surface than Cl^(−),thus hindering the de-solvation of the solvated Na^(+)and subsequent nucleation/growth of ***,the heat generated by the solar-thermal energy conversion can accelerate the reaction kinetics and enhance the catalytic degradation *** work provides a flow-bed water purification system with an asymmetric solar-thermal and catalytic membrane for synergistic solar thermal desalination of seawater/brine and catalytic degradation of organic pollutants.

Double carbohelicenes have attracted considerable attention due to their aesthetic structures, distinct π-conjugation extension, inherent chirality, and intriguing optical and electronic properties. Herein, the concise de novo synthesis of a new double[5]carbohelicene 1 together with its chiroptical properties, isomerization process and lasing application is presented. 1 was synthesized by a simple protocol involving the formation of a 6,6′-bipentacene as the key intermediate. It is worth noting that1 existed as two diastereomers 1-PP/MM and 1-PM, which were successfully isolated and unambiguously confirmed by Xray crystallography. The optical resolution of the racemic 1-PP/MM was successfully achieved by chiral-phase highperformance liquid chromatography（HPLC）, and 1-PP and 1-MM were characterized by circular dichroism. Interestingly, it was found that 1-PP/MM could be completely isomerized to 1-PM upon heating, and the detailed thermodynamics and kinetics of the isomerization process were systematically investigated. 1-PM exhibited deep-red luminescence with emission maximum at 723 nm and fluorescence quantum yield as high as 32.95%. Consequently, we can showcase the lasing application of 1-PM by doping with epoxy resin to assemble a bottle microlaser spontaneously, which the lasing wavelength is 796.6 nm at a threshold of 0.8 m J cm-2. We believe that our studies, including the facile synthesis methodology, detailed isomerization studies, and lasing application, will shed some light on the design and synthesis of novel carbohelical systems with more functions.

Mechanism Study on the Effect of Retarder on Polyurethane Setting Time Based on Molecular Simulation

This study identified castor oil and phosphate ester as effective retarders through setting time,tensile,and flexural tests,and determined their optimal *** mechanism by which phosphate ester affects the setting time of polyurethane was further investigated using molecular dynamics *** transform infrared spectroscopy was also employed to systematically study the physical and chemical interactions between phosphate esters and polyurethane *** results demonstrate that a 1%concentration of phosphate ester provides the most effective retarding effect with minimal impact on the strength of *** phosphate ester is added to the B component of the two-component polyurethane system,its interaction energy with component A decreases,as do the diffusion coefficient and aggregation degree of component B on the surface of component *** reduction in interaction slows the setting ***,the addition of phosphate ester to polyurethane leads to the disappearance or weakening of functional groups,indicating competitive interactions within the phosphate ester components that inhibit the reaction rate.
