Bacterial infection is a major issue after artificial bone transplantation due to the absence of antibacterial function of bone scaffold,which seriously causes the transplant failure and even amputation in severe *** this study,oxygen vacancy(OV)defects Fe-doped Ti O2(OV-FeTiO2)nanoparticles were synthesized by nano TiO2and Fe3O4via high-energy ball milling,which was then incorporated into polycaprolactone/polyglycolic acid(pCLGA)biodegradable polymer matrix to construct composite bone scaffold with good antibacterial activities by selective laser *** results indicated that OV defects were introduced into the core/shell-structured OV-FeTiO2nanoparticles through multiple welding and breaking during the high-energy ball milling,which facilitated the adsorption of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)in the bacterial infection microenvironment at the bone transplant *** accumulated H2O2could amplify the Fenton reaction efficiency to induce more hydroxyl radicals(·OH),thereby resulting in more bacterial deaths through·OH-mediated oxidative *** antibacterial strategy had more effective broad-spectrum antibacterial properties against Gram-negative Escherichia coli(***)and Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus(***).In addition,the pCLGA/OV-FeTiO2scaffold possessed mechanical properties that match those of human cancellous bone and good biocompatibility including cell attachment,proliferation and osteogenic differentiation.

Bacterial infection is a major problem following bone implant ***,poly-l-lactic acid/carbon nanotube/hydroxyapatite(pLLA/CnT/HAp)bone scaffolds possess enhanced mechanical properties and show good ***,wesynthesizedsilver(Ag)-dopedCnT/HAp(CnT/Ag-HAp.nanohybrids via the partial replacing of calcium ions(Ca2+)in the HAp lattice with silver ions(Ag+)using an ion dop.ng technique under hydrothermal ***ﬁcally,the dop.ng process was induced using the special lattice structure of HAp and the abundant surface oxygenic functional groups of CnT,and involved the partial replacement of Ca2+in the HAp lattice by doped Ag+as well as the in situ synthesis of Ag-HAp.nanoparticles on CnT in a hydrothermal *** result-ing CnT/Ag-HAp.nanohybrids were then introduced into a pLLA matrix via laser-based powder bed fusion(pBF-LB)to fabricate pLLA/CnT/Ag-HAp scaffolds that showed sustained antibacterial *** then found that Ag+,which pos-sesses broad-spectrum antibacterial activity,endowed pLLA/CnT/Ag-HAp scaffolds with this activity,with an antibacterial effectiveness of 92.65%.This antibacterial effect is due to the powerful effect of Ag+against bacterial structure and genetic material,as well as the physical destruction of bacterial structures due to the sharp edge structure of *** addition,the scaffold possessed enhanced mechanical properties,showing tensile and compressive strengths of 8.49 Mpa and 19.72 Mpa,***,the scaffold also exhibited good bioactivity and cytocompatibility,including the ability to form apatite layers and to promote the adhesion and proliferation of human osteoblast-like cells(MG63 cells).

Data-driven garment animation is a current topic of interest in the computer graphics *** approaches generally establish the mapp.ng between a single human pose or a temporal pose sequence,and garment deformation,but it is difficult to quickly generate diverse clothed human *** address this problem with a method to automatically synthesize dressed human animations with temporal consistency from a specified human motion *** the heart of our method is a twostage ***,we first learn a latent space encoding the sequence-level distribution of human motions utilizing a transformer-based conditional variational autoencoder(Transformer-CVAE).Then a garment simulator synthesizes dynamic garment shapes using a transformer encoder-decoder *** the learned latent space comes from varied human motions,our method can generate a variety of styles of motions given a specific motion *** means of a novel beginning of sequence(BOS)learning strategy and a self-supervised refinement procedure,our garment simulator is capable of efficiently synthesizing garment deformation sequences corresp.nding to the generated human motions while maintaining temporal and spatial *** verify our ideas *** is the first generative model that directly dresses human animation.

Currently,more than ten ultrahigh arch dams have been constructed or are being constructed in *** control is essential to long-term operation of these *** study employed the flexibility coefficient and plastic complementary energy norm to assess the structural safety of arch dams.A comprehensive analysis was conducted,focusing on differences among conventional methods in characterizing the structural behavior of the Xiaowan arch dam in ***,the spatiotemporal characteristics of the measured performance of the Xiaowan dam were explored,including periodicity,convergence,and time-effect *** findings revealed the governing mechanism of main ***,a heterogeneous spatial p.nel vector model was developed,considering both common factors and specific factors affecting the safety and performance of arch *** model aims to comprehensively illustrate spatial heterogeneity between the entire structure and local regions,introducing a specific effect quantity to characterize local deformation ***,the proposed model was applied to the Xiaowan arch dam,accurately quantifying the spatiotemporal heterogeneity of dam ***,the spatiotemporal distri-bution characteristics of environmental load effects on different parts of the dam were reasonably *** of the model prediction enhances its credibility,leading to the formulation of health diagnosis criteria for future long-term operation of the Xiaowan *** findings not only enhance the predictive ability and timely control of ultrahigh arch dams'performance but also provide a crucial basis for assessing the effectiveness of engineering treatment measures.

Rigid barrier deflectors can effectively prevent overspilling landslides,and can satisfy disaster prevention ***,the mechanisms of interaction between natural granular flow and rigid barrier deflectors require further *** date,few studies have investigated the impact of deflectors on controlling viscous debris flows for geological disaster *** investigate the effect of rigid barrier deflectors on impact mechanisms,a numerical model using the smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SpH)method with the Herschel–Bulkley model is proposed to simulate the interaction between natural viscous flow and single/dual barriers with and without *** model was validated using laboratory flume test data from the ***,the model was used to investigate the influence of the deflector angle and multi-barrier *** optimal configuration of multi-barriers was analyzed with consideration to the barrier height and distance between the barriers,because these metrics have a significant impact on the viscous flow pile-up,run-up,and overflow *** investigation considered the energy dissipation process,retention efficiency,and dead-zone *** with bare barriers with similar geometric characteristics and spatial distribution,rigid barriers with deflectors exhibit superior effectiveness in preventing the overflow and overspilling of viscous debris *** for the rational design of deflectors and the optimal arrangement of multi-barriers are provided to mitigate geological disasters.

Based on thermal-entransy theory, the multi-objective constructal design of quadrilateral heat generation body(HGB) with similar shapes of leaves is studied further. The relationship between the aspect ratio of quadrilateral HGB and average temperature difference based on thermal-entransy dissipation is compared with that between the aspect ratio of quadrilateral HGB and the maximum temperature difference(MTD). The relationship between a composite function, consisting of linear weighting sum of the average temperature difference and MTD, and aspect ratio is obtained, and the optimal aspect ratios under minimum composite function with different weighting coefficients are obtained. Using the nSGA-Ⅱ algorithm, the pareto frontier containing a series of compromise results of average temperature difference and MTD is obtained, and optimization results are compared using the deviation index. There is no aspect ratio to make both MTD and average temperature difference reach the minimum, and the optimal aspect ratio under the minimum MTD is smaller than that under the minimum average temperature difference. The optimal aspect ratio is obtained by making the composite function reach the minimum, and the optimal aspect ratios obtained by minimizing the composite function with different weighting coefficients are different. Compared with the construct of the initial design, the value of the composite function with optimal construct decreases by 1.9%, and the aspect ratio of the quadrilateral HGB decreases by 9.1%. The average temperature difference with the optimal construct increases by 2.1%, and the MTD with the optimal construct decreases by 5.6%. The deviation index under multi-objective optimization is smaller than that under single-objective optimization, and the obtained construct has better comprehensive thermal conductivity. Compared with TOpSIS and LInMAp decision-making methods, the average temperature difference with composite function optimization increases by 0.5

Background Stable carbon isotope composition(δ13Cp) can be used to estimate the changes in intrinsic water use efficiency（iWUE） in plants,which helps us to better understand plants' resp.nse strategies to climate *** study focused on the variations in δ13Cp.nd iWUE for the different life-form plants（i.e.,herbs,shrubs,and trees）along an altitudinal gradient（3300,3600,3900,4100,4300,and 4500 m） on the eastern slope of Yulong Snow Mountain,southeastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet *** resp.nse mechanisms of δ13Cp.nd iWUE for different life-form plants to altitude were thoroughly analyzed in this mountain *** The δ13Cpvalues of plants on the eastern slopes of Yulong Snow Mountain ranged from-30.4‰to-26.55‰,with a mean of-28.02‰,indicating a dominance of *** δ13Cp.nd iWUE values varied among different life-form plants in the order of herbs> shrubs> trees,particularly in 3600,3900,and 4300 ***δ13Cp.nd iWUE values for herbs and shrubs increased with altitude and were mainly controlled by air *** two parameters for trees exhibited a trend of initial decrease followed by an increase with *** 3900 m,the δ13Cp.nd iWUE values decreased with altitude,influenced by soil ***,above 3900 m,the two parameters increased with altitude,mainly regulated by air *** addition,iWUE was positively correlated with leaf p content but negatively correlated with leaf n:p ratio,especially for herbs and trees,suggesting that p plays a key role in modulating iWUE in this *** The diffe rentiated resp.nses of water availability for different life-form plants to a higher altitudinal gradient are regulated by air temperature,soil moisture,and leaf p content in the Yulong Snow *** results provide valuable insights into understanding the wate r-carbon relationships in high-altitude ecosystems.

The elastic adhesive contact of self-affine fractal rough surfaces against a rigid flat is simulated using the finite element method. An array of nonlinear springs, of which the force-separation law obeys the Lennard–Jones potential, is introduced to account for the interfacial adhesion. For fractal rough surfaces, the interfacial interaction is generally attractive for large mean gaps, but turns repulsive as the gap continuously shrinks. The interfacial interactions at the turning point corresp.nding to the sp.ntaneous contact are shown for various surfaces. For relatively smooth surfaces, the probability density distributions of repulsion and attraction are nearly symmetric. However, for rougher surfaces, the simulation results suggest a uniform distribution for attraction but a monotonously decreasing distribution with a long tail for repulsion. The pull-off force rises with increasing ratio of the work of adhesion to the equilibrium distance, whereas decreases for solids with a higher elastic modulus and a larger surface roughness. The current study will be helpful for understanding the adhesion of various types of rough solids.
