Earthquake-related hydrochemical changes in thermal springs have been widely observed;however,quantitative modeling of the reactive transport process is *** the present study,we apply reactive transport simulation to capture the hydrochemical responses in a thermal spring following the Wenchuan Ms 8.0 and Lushan Ms 7.0 *** first constrain deep reservoir geothermal fluid compositions and temperature by multicomponent geothermometry,and then a reactive geochemical transport model is constructed to reproduce the hydrochemical evolution *** results show that the recharge from the shallow aquifer increases gradually until it reaches a peak because of the permeability enhancement caused by the Lushan earthquake,which may be the mechanism to explain the earthquake-related hydrochemical *** contrast to the postseismic effect of the Wenchuan earthquake,the chemical evolution can be considered as hydrochemical anomalies related to the Lushan *** study proves that the efficient simulation of reactive transport processes is useful for investigating earthquake-related signals in hydrochemical time series.

In recent years, the demand direction for electronic equipment has expanded into embedded and miniaturized devices. The heat radiation problem has become one of the most significant factors for hindering the development of electronic devices. Since heat radiation material is one of the important components in electronic devices, the demand for enhancing thermal conductivity is also increasingly urgent. Research on thermal conductive polymer composites has become a major direction for developing functional composites. This work reviewed the recent progress in the fabrication of thermal conductive polymer composites. Five different structures are presented, including the using of single fillers,hybrid fillers, double threshold percolation structure, segregated structure and other complex multiphase structures. Specifically, the preparation of high-performance thermal conductive polymer composites was introduced through the combination of various thermal conductive ***, the development direction of high thermal conductive polymer composites was briefly explored.

As the velocity of a train increases,the corresponding air pumping power consumption of the brake discs increases *** the present experimental study,a standard axle-mounted brake disc with circumferential pillars was analyzed using a 1:1 scale model and a test rig in a wind *** particular,three upstream velocities were selected on the basis of earlier investigations of trains operating at 160,250,and 400 km/h,***,3D steady computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations of the flow field were conducted to compare with the wind tunnel test *** results for a 3-car train at 180 km/h demonstrated:(1)good agreement between the air resistance torques obtained from the wind tunnel tests and the related numerical results,with differences ranging from 0.95%to 5.88%;(2)discrepancies ranging from 3.2 to 3.8 N·m;(3)cooling ribs contributing more than 60%of the air resistance torque;(4)the fast rotation of brake discs causing a significantly different flow field near the bogie area,resulting in 25 times more air pumping power loss than that obtained in the stationary brake-disc case.

In this study, the Pareto optimal strategy problem was investigated for multi-player mean-field stochastic systems governed by It? differential equations using the reinforcement learning(RL) method.A partially model-free solution for Pareto-optimal control was derived. First, by applying the convexity of cost functions, the Pareto optimal control problem was solved using a weighted-sum optimal control problem. Subsequently, using on-policy RL, we present a novel policy iteration(PI) algorithm based on the Hrepresentation technique. In particular, by alternating between the policy evaluation and policy update steps,the Pareto optimal control policy is obtained when no further improvement occurs in system performance,which eliminates directly solving complicated cross-coupled generalized algebraic Riccati equations(GAREs).Practical numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Because of significantly changed load and complex and variable driving road conditions of commercial vehicles,pneumatic suspension with lower natural frequencies is widely used in commercial vehicle suspension *** ever,traditional pneumatic suspension system is hardly to respond the greatly changed load of commercial vehicles To address this issue,a new Gas-Interconnected Quasi-Zero Stiffness Pneumatic Suspension(GIQZSPS)is presented in this paper to improve the vibration isolation performance of commercial vehicle suspension systems under frequent load *** new structure adds negative stiffness air chambers on traditional pneumatic suspension to reduce the natural frequency of the *** can adapt to different loads and road conditions by adjusting the solenoid valves between the negative stiffness air ***,a nonlinear mechanical model including the dimensionless stiffness characteristic and interconnected pipeline model is derived for GIQZSPS *** the nonlinear mechanical model of GIQZSPS system,the force transmissibility rate is chosen as the evaluation index to analyze ***,a testing bench simulating 1/4 GIQZSPS system is designed,and the testing analysis of the model validation and isolating performance is carried *** results show that compared to traditional pneumatic suspension,the GIQZSPS designed in the article has a lower natural *** the system can achieve better vibration isolation performance under different load states by switching the solenoid valves between air chambers.

Gravel hardness effect on compaction characteristics of gravelly soil

The compaction characteristics of gravelly soil are affected by gravel *** investigate the evolution and influencing mechanism of different gravel hardness on the compaction characteristics of gravelly soil,heavy compaction tests and crushing tests were conducted on gravelly soils with gravels originated from hard,soft and extremely soft *** to orthogonal experiments and variance analysis,it was found that hardness has a significant impact on the maximum dry density of gravelly soil,followed by gravel content,and lastly,moisture *** gravel compositions with an average saturated uniaxial compressive strength less than 60 MPa,the order of compacted maximum dry density is soft gravels>hard gravels>extremely soft *** type of gravelly soil has a threshold for gravel content,with 60%for hard and soft gravels and 50%for extremely soft *** these thresholds,the compacted dry density decreases *** is a certain interaction between hardness,gravel content,and moisture *** hardness increases the influence of gravel content,whereas lower hardness increases the influence of moisture *** soils with the coarse aggregate(CA)between 0.7 and 0.8 typically achieve higher dry densities after *** addition,the prediction equations for the particle breakage rate and CA ratio in the Bailey method were proposed to estimate the compaction performance of gravelly soil *** results further revealed the compaction mechanism of different gravelly soils and can provide reference for subgrade filling construction.

Achieving full mutualism with massive passive devices for multiuser MIMO symbiotic radio

Symbiotic radio(SR) is one of the attractive communication technologies to facilitate largescale Internet of Things(IoT) connections with enhanced energy and spectrum efficiency, where passive backscatter devices(BDs) modulate their information over the radio frequency(RF) signals emitted by the active primary transmitters(PTs). Meanwhile, the primary transmission can be strengthened with the additional multipaths created by BDs. To capitalize to a greater extent on the mutualism relationship between the two types of communication, this paper studies multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) SR communication systems including multiple PTs and massive BDs. We derive the achievable rate expressions of each PT and BD, as well as the sum rate expressions of primary and secondary communication, *** asymptotic analysis is given to derive the active and passive communication rates with a large number of BDs. Furthermore, for the general case with a finite number of BDs, we study the precoding optimization problem to maximize the sum rate of primary communication, while ensuring that the sum rate of secondary communication and the individual rate for each PT and BD in the prescribed active and passive user sets satisfy the specified thresholds. Simulation results are presented to verify the analytical studies.
