A real-world study of the differences in Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis and treatment rules for coronavirus disease 2019 between Northern and Southern China

OBJECTIVE:To explore the differences in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)diagnosis and treatment rules for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)between Northern and Southern China based on the real-world data from 982 COVID-19 ***:All consecutive cases of COVID-19 admitted to the TCM department of designated COVID-19 hospitals in eight provinces and cities were retrospectively *** were divided into a Northern and a Southern group according to the location of the admitting *** symptoms,syndrome elements,syndrome distribution and herbal treatments were *** core prescriptions were extracted using the multiscale backbone-based network comparison algorithm(msbNC).RESULTS:The distribution of syndrome elements showed that dampness was common in Northern and Southern China,wind and heat were more often present in the South,while fire toxin and spleen deficiency were more often encountered in the *** distribution of syndromes showed that the South was dominated by heat dampness accumulating in the lung(55.69%),while the North was dominated by dampness-toxin stagnating in the lung(44.90%).The results of core prescription mining showed that dispelling dampness,dispersing wind,clearing heat and strengthening spleen were the common treatment methods in Northern and Southern *** mild cases,Jinyinhua(Flos Lonicerae)and Lianqiao(Fructus Forsythiae Suspensae)were often used in the South to clear heat and relieve exterior symptoms,while Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri Chinensis)and Huangqin(Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis)were often used in the North to relieve muscles by expelling *** moderate cases,Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri Chinensis),Qinghao(Herba Artemisiae Annuae),and shigao(Gypsum Fibrosum)were often used to clear heat of Tri-jiao Channel and stomach in the South,while Fuling(Poria),Chenpi(Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae),and Dangshen(Radix Codonopsis)were often used to invigorate spleen and remove dampness in the *** severe cases

The grain boundary(GB)damage of long-term crept HR3C(25Cr–20Ni–Nb–N)austenitic steel with solid solution state was investigated by nanoindentation test accompanied with in-situ electron back-scattered *** corresponding microstructure was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron *** show that the increase in nanoindentation hardness at the GBs and triple grain junctions may be related to the dislocation accumulation and carbide growth during the *** M23C6 and dislocations piling-up at the GB accelerate the nucleation and coalescence of creep cavity along the *** nanoindentation hardness in grains varies with orientation of the stress *** orientation difference of neighbor grains may induce local high geometrically necessary dislocation densities and strain gradients near the GB,consequently causing stress concentration and subsequent crack growth at specific GBs.

Analysis of large datasets for identifying molecular targets in intestinal polyps and metabolic disorders

Kinetic scale magnetic holes in the terrestrial magnetosheath:A review

Magnetic holes at the ion-to-electron kinetic scale(KSMHs)are one of the extremely small intermittent structures generated in turbulent magnetized *** recent years,the explorations of KSMHs have made substantial strides,driven by the ultra-high-precision observational data gathered from the Magnetospheric Multiscale(MMS)*** review paper summarizes the up-to-date characteristics of the KSMHs observed in Earth’s turbulent magnetosheath,as well as their potential impacts on space *** review starts by introducing the fundamental properties of the KSMHs,including observational features,particle behaviors,scales,geometries,and distributions in terrestrial *** have discovered that KSMHs display a quasi-circular electron vortex-like structure attributed to electron diamagnetic *** electrons exhibit noticeable non-gyrotropy and undergo *** occurrence rate of KSMH in the Earth’s magnetosheath is significantly greater than in the solar wind and magnetotail,suggesting the turbulent magnetosheath is a primary source ***,KSMHs have also been generated in turbulence simulations and successfully reproduced by the kinetic equilibrium ***,KSMHs have demonstrated their ability to accelerate electrons by a novel non-adiabatic electron acceleration mechanism,serve as an additional avenue for energy dissipation during magnetic reconnection,and generate diverse wave phenomena,including whistler waves,electrostatic solitary waves,and electron cyclotron waves in space *** results highlight the magnetic hole’s impact such as wave-particle interaction,energy cascade/dissipation,and particle acceleration/heating in space *** end this paper by summarizing these discoveries,discussing the generation mechanism,similar structures,and observations in the Earth’s magnetotail and solar wind,and presenting a future extension perspective in this active field.

Photocatalytic hydrogen generation from hydrogen storage media is an effective and promising approach for the green hydrogen industry as well as for achieving carbon neutrality ***,the lower photocatalytic efficiency due to the limited light trapping capacity,low electron transfer rate,and severe aggregation of nanoparticles caused by high surface energy seriously restricts their practical ***,we constructed a series of donor–acceptor(D–A)type covalent organic frameworks to confine ultrafine bimetallic Pt-based nanoclusters for photocatalytic hydrogen generation from ammonia borane(AB)*** visible light irradiation at 20℃,PtCo_(2)@covalent organic framework(COF)showed the highest photocatalytic activity with a turnover frequency(TOF)of 486 min−*** and density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the high catalytic activity is mainly attributed to the strong electronic interactions between D–A type COF and ultrafine PtCo_(2)***,the D–A type COF can significantly enhance the light-trapping ability by fine-tuning the electron-acceptor type in the framework,and accelerate the photogenerated electron transfer from D–A type COF to PtCo_(2)nanocluster,which promotes the adsorption and activation of H_(2)O and AB molecules and accelerates hydrogen ***,PtCo_(2)@COF also exhibited ultra-high durability due to the significantly enhanced resistance to nanocluster aggregation caused by the nanopore confinement effect of D–A type *** believe that this work will provide a theoretical guide for the rational design of efficient D–A COFbased catalysts for photocatalysis.

Photoacoustic elastography based on laser-excited shear wave

Elastography can be used as a diagnostic method for quantitative characterization of tissue hardness information and thus,differential changes in pathophysiological states of *** this study,we propose a new method for shear wave elastography(SWE)based on laser-excited shear wave,called photoacoustic shear wave elastography(PASWE),which combines photoacoustic(PA)technology with ultrafast ultrasound *** using a focused laser to excite shear waves and ultrafast ultrasonic imaging for detection,high-frequency excitation of shear waves and noncontact elastic imaging can be *** laser can stimulate the tissue with the light absorption characteristic to produce the thermal expansion,thus producing the shear *** frequency of shear wave induced by laser is higher and the frequency band is *** tracking the propagation of shear wave,Young’s modulus of tissue is reconstructed in the whole shear wave propagation region to further evaluate the elastic information of *** feasibility of the method is verified by *** with the experimental results of supersonic shear imaging(SSI),it is proved that the method can be used for quantitative elastic imaging of the *** addition,compared with the SSI method,this method can realize the noncontact excitation of the shear wave,and the frequency of the shear wave excited by the laser is higher than that of the acoustic radiation force(ARF),so the spatial resolution is *** to the traditional PA elastic imaging method,this method can obtain a larger imaging depth under the premise of ensuring the imaging resolution,and it has potential application value in the clinical diagnosis of diseases requiring noncontact quantitative elasticity.

The reductive cross-coupling between C(aryl)—O and Si—Cl bonds is of much importance as a valuable strategy for the construction of C(aryl)—Si bonds but has remained a great ***,we report a reductive cross-coupling of diaryl ethers and chlorosilanes via strong electrophilic C(aryl)—O and Si—Cl bonds cleavage by iron catalysis,which constitutes an efficient protocol for the synthesis of a range of functionalized *** combination of low cost FeCl2 as the precatalyst and iPrMgCl as the reductant shows high activity in the successive cleavage of unactivated C(aryl)—O bonds of diaryl ethers and strong electrophilic Si—Cl bonds of chlorosilanes,allowing their cross-coupling in a reductive *** low-valent iron species generated in situ by reduction of FeCl2 with iPrMgCl was proposed,which prefers to initially cleavage the C(aryl)—O bond of diaryl ethers with the chelation help of an o-amide auxiliary.

Optimal Cooperative Secondary Control for Islanded DC Microgrids via a Fully Actuated Approach

DC-DC converter-based multi-bus DC microgrids(MGs) in series have received much attention, where the conflict between voltage recovery and current balancing has been a hot topic. The lack of models that accurately portray the electrical characteristics of actual MGs while is controller design-friendly has kept the issue active. To this end, this paper establishes a large-signal model containing the comprehensive dynamical behavior of the DC MGs based on the theory of high-order fully actuated systems, and proposes distributed optimal control based on this. The proposed secondary control method can achieve the two goals of voltage recovery and current sharing for multi-bus DC MGs. Additionally, the simple structure of the proposed approach is similar to one based on droop control, which allows this control technique to be easily implemented in a variety of modern microgrids with different configurations. In contrast to existing studies, the process of controller design in this paper is closely tied to the actual dynamics of the MGs. It is a prominent feature that enables engineers to customize the performance metrics of the system. In addition, the analysis of the stability of the closed-loop DC microgrid system, as well as the optimality and consensus of current sharing are given. Finally, a scaled-down solar and battery-based microgrid prototype with maximum power point tracking controller is developed in the laboratory to experimentally test the efficacy of the proposed control method.
