Experimental Investigation of the Operating Characteristics of a Pulsating Heat Pipe with Ultra-Pure Water and Micro Encapsulated Phase Change Material Suspension

The specific heat capacity of working fluid is an important influence factor on heat transfer characteristic of the pulsating heat pipe(PHP).Due to the relatively large specific heat capacity of micro encapsulated phase change material(MEPCM) suspension,a heat transfer performance experimental facility of the PHP was *** heat transfer characteristic with MEPCM suspension of different mass concentrations(0.5% and 1.0%) and ultra-pure water were compared *** was found that when the PHP uses MEPCM suspension as its working fluid,operating stability is impoverished under lower heating power and the operating stability is better under higher heating *** the inclination angle of 90°,the temperature at heating side decreases compared to ultra-pure water and the temperature at heating side decreases with the raising of MEPCM suspension mass *** heat transfer characteristic of the PHP is positively correlated with the inclination angle and the 90° is *** unfavorable effect of the inclination angle decreases with heating power *** the inclination angle is 90°,the PHP with MEPCM suspension at 1.0% of mass concentration has the lowest thermal transfer resistance and followed by ultra-pure water and MEPCM suspension at 0.5% of mass concentration has the highest thermal transfer *** the inclination angles are 60° and30°,the effect of gravity on the flow direction is reduced to 86.6% and 50% of that on the inclination angle of 90°,respectively,and the promoting effect of gravity on the working fluid is further weakened as the inclination angle further *** to the high viscosity of MEPCM suspension,the PHP with ultra-pure water has the lowest heat transfer *** the inclination angles is 60°,the thermal resistance with MEPCM suspension at0.5% of the mass concentration is lower than that at 1.0% at the heating power below 230 *** thermal resistance of MEPCM suspension tends to be simila

Both morphology and composition have a great influence on the properties and functions of materials,however,how to rational modulate both of them to achieve their synergistic effects has been a longstanding ***,we demonstrate a competitive assembling strategy for the construction of metal-free graphite carbon nitride(CN)homojunctions in which morphology and composition can be easily controlled simultaneously by only changing the ratio of assembly raw *** homojunctions are comprised of porous nanotubular S-doped CN(SCN)grafted with CN nanovesicles,which are derived from thermal polycondensation of melamine-thiocyanuric acid(M-T)/melamine-cyanuric acid(M-C)supramolecular hybrid *** unique architecture and component engineering endows the novel SCN-CN homojunction with abundant active sites,enhanced visible trapping ability,and intimate interface *** a result,the synthesized SCN-CN homojunctions demonstrate high photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution and pollutant *** developed strategy opens up intriguing opportu-nities for the rational construction of intricate metal-free heterostructures with controllable architecture and interfacial contact for applications in energy-related fields.

Medical image segmentation has witnessed rapid advancements with the emergence of encoder-decoder based *** the encoder-decoder structure,the primary goal of the decoding phase is not only to restore feature map resolution,but also to mitigate the loss of feature information incurred during the encoding ***,this approach gives rise to a challenge:multiple up-sampling operations in the decoder segment result in the loss of feature *** address this challenge,we propose a novel network that removes the decoding structure to reduce feature information loss(CBL-Net).In particular,we introduce a Parallel Pooling Module(PPM)to counteract the feature information loss stemming from conventional and pooling operations during the encoding ***,we incorporate a Multiplexed Dilation Convolution(MDC)module to expand the network's receptive ***,although we have removed the decoding stage,we still need to recover the feature map ***,we introduced the Global Feature Recovery(GFR)*** uses attention mechanism for the image feature map resolution recovery,which can effectively reduce the loss of feature *** conduct extensive experimental evaluations on three publicly available medical image segmentation datasets:DRIVE,CHASEDB and MoNuSeg *** results show that our proposed network outperforms state-of-the-art methods in medical image *** addition,it achieves higher efficiency than the current network of coding and decoding structures by eliminating the decoding component.

On February 6, 2023, the doublet earthquake including two main shocks with magnitudes M_(W)7.8 and M_(W)7.5, occurred near the western side of the East Anatolian Fault at the southeast boundary of the Anatolian Plateau in Turkey. Based on the WGM2012 Bouguer gravity anomaly data and the Etopo1topography data, this study first introduced a joint inversion of admittance and coherence functions and used the Bayesian optimal parameter estimation method to obtain the effective elastic thickness Teand loading ratio F of the lithosphere for various tectonic units in the Anatolian Plateau. Secondly, we discussed the characteristics and influencing factors of the lithospheric mechanical strength and analyzed its relationship with seismic activity. The lithospheric mechanical strength of the Anatolian Plateau showed clear lateral heterogeneity and a "weak-strong-weak" spatial pattern from east to west,reflecting various tectonic processes. At last, the strong seismic activity was found where the lithospheric strength was low in the Anatolian Plate. We also incorporated GPS strain rate and other results to investigate the tectonic background and primary causes of the M_(W)7.8 and M_(W)7.5 doublet earthquakes in Turkey. The results have a good insight into urban safety design in the Turkish region, including postdisaster rehabilitation, earthquake hazard assessment, and loss reduction.

Coastal ecosystems are highly susceptible to salt-related problems due to their formation process and geographical location. As such ecosystems are the most accessible land resources on Earth, clarifying and quantifying the effects of salt-alkali conditions on N concentration and ammonia(NH_(3)) volatilization are pivotal for promoting coastal agricultural productivity. The challenge in establishing this effect is to determine how salt-alkali conditions impact NH_(3) volatilization through direct or indirect interactions. An incubation experiment using a coastal soil from a paddy farmland, combined with the structural equation modeling(SEM) method, was conducted to reveal the net effects of salt-alkali on NH_(3) volatilization and the role of environmental and microbial factors in mutual interaction networks. The specific experimental design consisted of four salt treatments(S1, S2, S3, and S4: 1‰, 3‰, 8‰, and 15‰ NaCl by mass of soil, respectively), four alkaline treatments(A1, A2, A3, and A4: 0.5‰, 1‰, 3‰, and 8‰ NaHCO_(3)by mass of soil, respectively) and a control without NaCl or NaHCO_(3) addition(CK), and each treatment had three urea concentrations(N1, N2, and N3: 0.05, 0.10, and 0.15 g N kg^(-1) soil,respectively) and three replicates. At the N1, N2, and N3 levels, NH_(3)volatilization increased by 9.31%–34.98%, 3.07%–26.92%, and 2.99%–43.61% as the NaCl concentration increased from 1‰ to 15‰, respectively, compared with CK. With an increase in the NaHCO_(3)concentration from 0.5‰ to 8‰, NH_(3) volatilization increased by 8.36%–56.46%, 5.49%–30.10%, and 30.72%–73.18% at the N1, N2, and N3 levels, respectively, compared with CK. The rotor is the most important component of rotating machinery,and the vibration produced by its mass unbalance has a serious influence on the secure and steady operation of the machine,so an effective online suppression technology is urgently needed.A new hydraulic unbalanced bionic self-recovery system is introduced,imitating the way of manually repairing faulty *** accomplish the effect of actuator mass redistribution,the technology employs pressurized air to drive the quantitative transfer of liquid in the reservoir cavity at opposite *** can complete the online adjustment of the equipment's balancing state and suppress the unbalanced vibration of equipment in real time,which gives the equipment the ability to maintain an autonomous health state and improve equipment *** composition and working principle of the system are introduced in detail,and the key performance parameters,such as the minimum running speed and the balancing liquid transfer speed,are analyzed *** fluid-solid coupling model of the actuator was established,and the two-phase flow from inside the hydraulic unbalanced bionic self-recovery actuator was simulated under multiple working conditions and the performance parameters were quantitatively analyzed.A balancing simulation test bed was built,and its effectiveness was verified by performance parameter tests and unbalanced bionic self-recovery *** experimental results show that the mass distribution adjustment of the balancing disk can be achieved using different viscosity balancing liquid,and the response of liquid viscosity 10 cSt is faster than that of liquid viscosity 100 cSt in the process of balancing liquid transfer,and the time is reduced by more than 75%;the system can reduce the simulated rotor amplitude from 18.3μm to 10.6μm online in real time,which provides technical support for the subsequent development of a new generation of bionic intelligent equipment.
