To construct strains of the filamentous fungus Trichoderma reesei with low cellobiohydrolases while high endoglucanase activity, the Pcbh1-eg3-Tcbh1 cassette was constructed and the coding sequence of the cellobiohydrolase I (CBHI) gene was replaced with the coding sequence of the eg3 gene by homologous recombination. Disruption of the cbh1 gene was confirmed by PCR, Southern dot blot and Western hybri- dization analysis in two transformants denoted as L13 and L29. The filter paper-hydrolyzing activity of strain L29 was 60% of the parent strain Rut C30, and the CMCase activity was increased by 33%. This relatively modest increase suggested that the eg3 cDNA under the control of the cbh1 promoter was not efficiently transcribed as the wild type cbhl gene. However our results confirmed that homologous recombination could be used to construct strains of the filamentous fungus Trichoderma reesei with novel cellulase profile. Such strains are of interest from the basic science perspective and also have potential industrial applications.

Transition metal-based nanomaterials have emerged as promising electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Considerable research efforts have shown that self-reconstruction occurs on these nanomaterials under operating conditions of OER ***,most of them undergo incomplete reconstruction with limited thickness of reconstruction layer,leading to low component utilization and arduous exploration of real catalytic ***,we identify the dynamic behaviors in complete reconstruction of Co-based complexes during *** hollow phytic acid(PA)cross-linked CoFe-based complex nanoboxes with porous nanowalls are designed because of their good electrolyte penetration and mass transport ability,in favor of the fast and complete reconstruction.A series of experiment characterizations demonstrate that the reconstruction process includes the fast substitution of PA by OH-to form Co(Fe)(OH)xand subsequent potential-driven oxidation to Co(Fe)*** obtained CoFeOOH delivers a low overpotential of 290 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)and a long-term *** experiment results together with theory calculations reveal that the Fe incorporation can result in the electron rearrangement of reconstructed CoFeOOH and optimization of their electronic structure,accounting for the enhanced OER *** work provides new insights into complete reconstruction of metal-based complexes during OER and offers guidelines for rational design of high-performance electrocatalysts.

A key characteristic to be elucidated,to address the harmful health risks of environmental perfluorinated alkyl substances(PFAS),is their binding modes to serum albumin,the most abundant protein in *** oxide-dimer acid(GenX or HFPO-DA)is a new industrial replacement for the widespread linear long-chain ***,the detailed interaction of new-generation short-chain PFAS with albumin is still ***,the binding characteristics of bovine serum albumin(BSA)to GenX were explored at the molecular and cellular *** found that this branched short-chain GenX could bind to BSA with affinity lower than that of legacy linear long-chain perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA).Site marker competitive study and molecular docking simulation revealed that GenX interacted with subdomain IIIA to form BSA-GenX *** with its weaker affinity to albumin protein,the cytotoxicity of branched short-chain GenX was less susceptible to BSA binding compared with that of the linear long-chain *** contrast to the significant effects of strong BSA-PFOA interaction,the weak affinity of BSA-GenX binding did not influence the structure of protein and the cytotoxicity of *** detailed characterization and direct comparisons of serum albumin interaction with new generation short-chain GenX will provide a better understanding for the toxicological properties of this new alternative.

The photocatalytic CO_(2) cycloaddition to prepare high value-added chemicals,such as cyclic carbonates(CCs)under mild conditions is an effective strategy to realize carbon ***,through a three-step reaction,the porphyrin-based covalent organic polymer with bimetallic active sites(Fe-COP-Zr)is successfully obtained by coordinating Fe^(2+) and Zr^(4+)with porphyrin and bipyridine(Bpy),*** to excellent photosensitivity of porphyrin moieties,Fe-COP-Zr exhibits outstanding visible light absorption,which is very important for the production of photogenerated ***,Fe-COP-Zr shows high photocatalytic performance towards CO_(2) cycloaddition with a yield of 12.1 mmol/h,which is 6 times higher than that of pure covalent organic polymer(COP)and 3 times higher than that of monometallic *** reason for this excellent photocatalytic CO_(2) cycloaddition performance may be ascribed to the synergistic effect of Fe and Zr *** photogenerated electrons are easily injected into epichlorohydrin(ECH)through Fe—O bonds to form affluent electron transition state,and interact with Zr^(4+) as Lewis acid sites for the ring-opening of ECH,which is the rate-determining step for the visible light boosted chemical fixation of CO_(2) into *** work might provide some insights for design and preparation of COPs with multiple active sites to modulate their photocatalytic activities.

Origin and Evolution Process of Overpressure in the Shahezi Formation of Xujiaweizi Fault Depression in the Northern Songliao Basin,NE China

It is of great significance for deep oil and gas exploration to understand the origin and evolution behind *** occurs in the deep Shahezi Formation of Xujiaweizi fault ***,due to limited degree of exploration,there are some problems in the study area,such as unclear understanding of the origin of overpressure and the vague investigation of overpressure *** clarify the impact of overpressure on oil and gas migration and accumulation in the study area,this study focuses on the research of the origin and evolution of overpressure in the Shahezi Formation of the study area,utilizing single well logging parameters and combining methods such as microthermometry of fluid inclusions,laser Raman spectrum,and basin *** results show that the overpressure of the Shahezi Formation in Xujiaweizi fault depression is primarily generated by hydrocarbon generation pressurization,and the evolution of overpressure is closely related to hydrocarbon *** development of overpressure can be divided into two evolutionary stages:early hydrocarbon generation pressurization and late uplift release,with slight variations in different *** glutenite gas reservoirs in the Shahezi Formation are characterized by continuous *** overall charging period ranges from the late Denglouku to the early Mingshui(110-67 Ma ago).There is an obvious paleo-overpressure during the gas reservoir formation *** gas generation period of source rocks occurred approximately 125-60 Ma ago,and the main gas generation period(112-67 Ma ago)highly coincides with the period of natural gas *** anomalously high pressure during the accumulation period is considered the significant driving force for natural gas *** addition,the sustained effect of overpressure provides better conditions for the preservation of tight gas reservoirs within the *** results of the study are of guiding significance for the in-depth expl

Carbon-based perovskite solar cells(C-PSCs)exhibit notable stability and ***,the power conversion efficiency(PCE)is significantly hindered by energy level mismatches,which result in interfacial charge transport barriers at the electrode-related ***,we report a back electrode that utilizes atomically dispersed metallic cobalt(Co)in carbon nanosheets(Co_1/CN)to adjust the interfacial energy *** electrons in the d-orbitals of Co atoms disrupt the electronic symmetry of the carbon nanosheets(CN),inducing a redistribution of the electronic density of states that leads to a downward shift in the Fermi level and a significantly reduced interfacial energy *** a result,the C-PSCs using Co1/CN as back electrodes achieve a notable PCE of 22.61%with exceptional long-term stability,maintaining 94.4%of their initial efficiency after 1000 h of continuous illumination without *** work provides a promising universal method to regulate the energy level of carbon electrodes for C-PSCs and paves the way for more efficient,stable,and scalable solar technologies toward commercialization.

Catalytic reduction of nitrate over bimetallic catalysts has emerged as a technology for sustainable treatment of nitrate-containing ***,the structure of bimetallic has been much less investigated for catalyst ***,two main types of Pd-Cu bimetallic nanocrystal structures,heterostructure and intermetallic,were prepared and characterized using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The results show that two individual Pd and Cu nanocrystals with a mixed interface exist in the heterostructure nanocrystals,while Pd and Cu atoms are uniformly distributed across the intermetallic Pd-Cu *** catalytic nitrate reduction experiments were carried out in a semibatch reactor under constant hydrogen *** nitrate conversion rate of the heterostructure Pd-Cu nanocrystals supported onα-Al_(2)O_(3),γ-Al_(2)O_(3),SBA-15,and XC-72R exhibited 3.82-,6.76-,4.28-,2.44-fold enhancements relative to the intermetallic nanocrystals,and the nitrogen and nitrite were the main products for the heterostructure and intermetallic Pd-Cu nanocrystals,*** indicates that the catalytic nitrate reduction over Pd-Cu catalyst is sensitive to the bimetallic structures of the catalysts,and heterostructure bimetallic nanocrystals exhibit better catalytic performances on both the activity and selectivity,which may provide new insights into the design and optimization of catalysts to improve catalytic activity and selectivity for nitrate reduction in water.
