Objective:To discuss the clinical effects of Western medicine therapy assisted by Ginkgo biloba tablet(GBT) on patients with vascular cognitive impairment of none dementia(VCIND).Methods: A total of 80 patients with VCIND were divided into two groups randomly:Conventional treatment group(control group) and combined treatment *** treatment group was given conventional treatment with anti-platelet *** this group,75 mg aspirin was given three times a day for 3 *** in combined treatment group,19.2 mg CRT was given three times a day for 3 months together with conventional treatment(anti-platelet aggregation drugs). Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA) and transcranial Doppler(TCD) were used to observe changes of cognitive ability and cerebral blood flow in VCIND patients before and after treatment in both *** the clinical data were analyzed so as to compare the efficacy in two groups. Results:After 3 month-treatment in combined treatment group,the scores of executive ability, attention,abstract,delayed memory,orientation in the MoCA were significantly increased compared with those before treatment and those in control group after ***,blood flow velocity of anterior cerebral artery increased significandy than that before treatment and that in control group after ***:CBT tablet can improve the therapeutic efficacy as well improve cognitive ability and cerebral blood flow supply of patients with VCIND.

BACKGROUND Approximately 10%of adults and nearly all children who receive renal replacement therapy have inherited risk factors or are related to genetic *** the past,due to the limitations of detection technology and the nonspecific manifestations of uraemia,the etiological diagnosis is *** addition to common monogenic diseases and complex disorders,advanced testing techniques have led to the recognition of more hereditary renal ***,we report a four-generation Chinese family in which four individuals had a novel SALL1 mutation and presented with uraemia or abnormal urine *** SUMMARY A 32-year-old man presented with end-stage renal disease with a 4-year history of *** father and paternal aunt both had a history of unexplained renal failure with haemodialysis,and his 10-year-old daughter presented with *** patient had multiple congenital abnormalities,including bilateral overlapping toes,unilateral dysplastic external ears,and sensorineural hearing *** family members also presented with similar *** testing revealed that the proband carried a novel heterozygous shift mutation in SALL1_exon 2(c.3437delG),and Sanger sequencing confirmed the same mutation in all affected family *** We report a novel SALL1 exon 2(c.3437delG)mutation and clinical syndrome with kidney disease,bilateral overlapping toes,unilateral dysplastic external ears,and sensorineural hearing loss in a four-generation Chinese family.

Objective: To investigate the effect of Chinese medicine prescription-Haoqinqingdan decoction on damp-heat syndrome in rats with influenza viral pneumonia and its influence on the immune function. Methods: A total of 48 Wistar rats were randomly divided into the normal control group, the damp-heat syndrome model group, the Haoqinqingdan decoction group (high, medium and low dose group) and the ribavirin group. The body temperature and weight of rats in each group were recorded after modeling. After treatment for 6 d, the concentration of T lymphocyte subgroup (CD3+ CD4+ , CD3+ CD8+ ) was determined by flow cytometry. The OD value of IFN毭/IL-4 was detected by double-antibody sandwich ELISA method, and its concentration was acquired through conversion. Results: After modeling, the temperature and weight of rats in each modeling group showed the increasing trend ( P<0.01). From the second day of treatment, there was significant difference in the body mass between groups, and the rat weight of the control group was higher than in the modeling group ( P<0.05 or 0.01). With the advances of treatment, only the temperature in the medium and high dose Haoqinqingdan decoction groups declined significantly ( P<0.05). After treatment, the CD4+ /CD8+ ratio of the damp-heat syndrome model group decreased more significantly compared with the control group. Elevated CD3+ CD8+ percentages and declined CD4+ /CD8+ ratios can be observed in the low dose group and ribavirin group ( P<0.05). Moreover, the CD3+ CD4+ percentage of ribavirin group was lower than in the control group ( P<0.05). After treatment, the IFN-毭 and IFN-毭/ IL-4 levels in the peripheral blood of rats in the dampheat syndrome group were obviously higher than in the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusions: Compared with ribavirin, the high dose Haoqinqingdan decoction can improve the ratio of T lymphocyte subgroup and Th1/Th2 cell balance more effectively.

AIM:To discuss the impact of Lycium Barbarum Polysaccharide (LBP) and Danshensu purified from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) of rabbits with retinal neovascularization. METHODS:Forty rabbits were divided into normal control group, model control group, LBP group and Danshensu group. Animals in the normal control group were fed in the normal oxygen environment. Animals in the other three groups were put into the environment with 70% oxygen for 5 days in order to build the model of oxygen-induced vascular proliferation retinopathy. And then different TCM extract was injected into the abdominal cavities of these annimals. After 7 days, the VEGF content of in the serum of rabbit was measured by double antibody sandwich method. RESULTS:Data analysis indicated that VEGF content was as follows:Danshensu group was lower than model control group (12.92 ±3.84ng/L vs 19.32 ±4.15ng/L, P < 0.05); LBP group and normal control group were lower than model control group (12.92±3.84ng/L, 9.26±1.61ng/L vs 19.32±4.15ng/L, P<0.01); total blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, cholesterol content, fibrinogen content and triacylglycerol content after peritoneal injection of LBP and Danshensu were obviously lower than before injection. CONCLUSION:TCM extract-LBP and Danshensu can prominently reduce the content of VEGF in the process of vascular proliferative retinopathy of rabbit; can prevent the occurrence of retinal microvascular disease by improving partial oxygen -deficient environment or affecting all kinds of new growth factor.

AIM: To analyze the clinical features and risk factors of adverse reactions associated with telbivudine. METHODS: Clinical data were collected from cases that presented with serious adverse reactions to telbivudine. We analyzed general information and medicine status, clinical features, results of examination, and misdiagnosis. RESULTS: Out of 105 patients who were treated with telbivudine for hepatitis B in an outpatient department from January, 2007 to January, 2008, five presented with serious adverse drug reactions. Most of these five patients had used other nucleoside analogues in the past. Four were treated with a combination of telbivudine and interferon or another nucleoside analogue, while the other received an increased dose of telbivudine. The main adverse reactions were myalgia and general weakness. This was accompanied by cardiac arrhythmia in one patient, and nervous symptoms in three. Serum creatine kinase was elevated. The rate of misdiagnosis was high. CONCLUSION: The adverse reactions were related to telbivudine, but the biological mechanism of the reactions is not yet clear. Combination therapy with interferon or another nucleoside analogue and a high dose may increase the risk of adverse reactions.

Background:There is an unmet need for accurate non-invasive methods to diagnose non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH).Since impedance-based measurements of body composition are simple,repeatable and have a strong association with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)severity,we aimed to develop a novel and fully automatic machine learning algorithm,consisting of a deep neural network based on impedance-based measurements of body composition to identify NASH[the bioeLectrical impEdance Analysis foR Nash(LEARN)algorithm].Methods:A total of 1,259 consecutive subjects with suspected NAFLD were screened from six medical centers across China,of which 766 patients with biopsy-proven NAFLD were included in final *** patients were randomly subdivided into the training and validation groups,in a ratio of 4:*** LEARN algorithm was developed in the training group to identify NASH,and subsequently,tested in the validation ***:The LEARN algorithm utilizing impedance-based measurements of body composition along with age,sex,pre-existing hypertension and diabetes,was able to predict the likelihood of having *** algorithm showed good discriminatory ability for identifying NASH in both the training and validation groups[area under the receiver operating characteristics(AUROC):0.81,95%CI:0.77-0.84 and AUROC:0.80,95%CI:0.73-0.87,respectively].This algorithm also performed better than serum cytokeratin-18 neoepitope M30(CK-18 M30)level or other non-invasive NASH scores(including HAIR,ION,NICE)for identifying NASH(P value<0.001).Additionally,the LEARN algorithm performed well in identifying NASH in different patient subgroups,as well as in subjects with partial missing body composition ***:The LEARN algorithm,utilizing simple easily obtained measures,provides a fully automated,simple,non-invasive method for identifying NASH.

Irradiation effect by slow neutrons at a low fluence of about 108n/cm2 on YBCO and GB-CO films was reported in this paper. It was experimentally shown that appropriate slow meutron irradiation would increase the critical current densities Jcm at higher temperature (78K) and have almost no effect on Jcm at lower temperature (57K). Peak effect deduced by appropriate irradiation was observed in the field dependence of Jcm and volume flux pinning force density Fp at 78K. Based on mechanisms of slow-neutron irradiation , some discussions were made.

Effect of pyrite content on chalcopyrite flotation under different regrinding conditions

This study aimed to investigate the effect of varying pyrite(Py)content on copper(Cu)in the presence of different regrinding conditions,which were altered using different types of grinding media:iron,ceramic balls,and their mixture,followed by flotation in the cleaner *** flotation performance of rough Cu concentrate can be improved by changing the regrinding conditions based on the Py *** electron microscopy,X-ray spectrometry,ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt extraction,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy studies illustrated that when the Py content was high,the use of iron media in regrinding promoted the generation of hydrophilic Fe OOH on the surface of Py and improved the Cu *** ceramic medium with a low Py content prevented excessive Fe OOH from covering the surface of chalcopyrite(Cpy).Electrochemical studies further showed that the galvanic corrosion current of Cpy-Py increased with the addition of Py and became stronger with the participation of iron media.
