The thermal stress-induced deformation issue of receiver is crucial to the performance and reliability of a parabolic-trough(PT) concentrating solar power(CSP) system with the promising direct steam generation(DSG) technology.The objective of the present study is to propose a new-type receiver with axially-hollow spiral deflector and optimize the geometric structure to solve the above issue.To this end,optical-flow-thermal multi-physics coupling models have been established for the preheating,boiling and superheating sections of a typical PT-DSG loop.The simulation results show that our proposed new-type receiver demonstrates outstanding comprehensive performance.It can minimize the circumferential temperature difference through the spiral deflector while lower the flow resistance cost through the axially hollow structure at the same time.As quantitatively evaluated by the temperature uniformity improvement(ε_(ΔT)) and the performance evaluation criteria(PEC),different designs are achieved based on different optimal schemes.When ε_(ΔT)is of primary importance,the optimal design with torsional ratio of 1 is achieved,with ε_(ΔT)=25.4%,25.7%,41.5% and PEC=0.486,0.878,0.596corresponding to preheating,boiling,superheating sections,respectively.When PEC is of primary importance,the optimal design with torsional ratio of 6-6.5 is achieved,with PEC=0.950,2.070,0.993 and ε_(ΔT)=18.2%,13.3 %,19.4% corresponding to preheating,boiling,superheating sections,respectively.

In this study,CuO nanoparticles are pre-modified with styrene-maleic anhydride copolymers(SMAs)of different molecular weights and MAH contents.Then the pre-modified CuO nanoparticles(CuO-SMAs)are added to the PA6/SEBS(Styrene Ethylene Butylene Styrene copolymer)(40/60 wt/wt)polymer blends with a co-continuous morphology.When SMA3(MAH=8 wt%,M_(n)=250000 g/mol)is used to modify CuO nanoparticles,and the grafting degree of SMA3 on the surface of CuO reaches 2.74 wt%,90.71%of the added mCuO-SMA3 nanoparticles can be located at the interface of PA6 and SEBS.A porous PA6 membrane with CuO nanoparticles located at the pore walls can be obtained after the SEBS phase is etched with xylene.The catalytic reaction velocity constant(k)for the reduction of p-nitrophenol in NaBH_(4)solutions with the PA6/mCuO-SMA3 porous membrane can reach 1.0040 min^(-1).This work provides a feasible and straightforward method for the preparation of porous polymer membranes with functional nanoparticles located at the wall of the pores.

To investigate the impact of combustor width on continuous rotating detonation(CRD)fueled by ethylene and air,a series of 3 D simulations are conducted by changing the inner cylinder radius of an annular combustor while retaining the same outer cylinder radius.The results show that the CRD wave propagates more steadily and faster as the combustor width increases.The high-temperature zone at the backward-facing step preheats the propellants and contributes to the steady propagation of the CRD wave in 25-and 30-mm wide combustors.The highest and the lowest velocities are obtained in the30-and 15-mm wide combustors at,respectively,1880.27 and 1681.01 m/s.On the other hand,the average thrust decreases as the combustor width increases.The highest thrust is obtained in the 15-mm wide combustor while the lowest is in the 30-mm wide combustor,at 758.06 and 525.93 N,respectively.Nevertheless,the thrust is much more stable in the 25-and 30-mm wide combustors than in the 15-and 20-mm wide combustors.

The degradation of the shear stress between pile-clay interface caused by undrained cyclic jacking affects the jacking force.A series of large displacement monotonic shear,cyclic shear and post-cyclic monotonic steel plate-clay interface shear te sts were performed under the constant normal load(CNL)condition to inve stigate the effects of normal stre ss,cyclic amplitude,and number of cycles on a steel plate-clay interface using the GDS multi-function interface shear tester.Based on the experimental results,in monotonic shear tests,change of shear stress took place in the specimen,the shear stress rapidly reached the peak value at shear displacement of 1 mm,and then abruptly decreased to the residual value.In cyclic shear te sts,accumulated displacement was a better parameter to describe the soil degradation characteristics,and the degradation degree of shear stress became greater with the increasing of normal stress and accumulated displacement.Shear stress in post-cyclic monotonic shear tests did not generate a peak value and was lower than that in monotonic shear tests under the same normal stress.The soil was completely disturbed and reached the residual strength when the cumulative displacement approached 6 m.An empirical equation to evaluate shear stress degradation mechanism was formulated and the procedure of parameter identification was presented.

Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy(LPD) at its early stage failed to demonstrate the superiority compared with open pancreaticoduodenectomy(OPD) [1]. The well-known randomized trial, LEOPARD-2, was even terminated due to the safety issue [2], but recent researches [3,4] revealed that LPD is technically safe and feasible with acceptable rates of morbidity and mortality and therefore, gains popularity recently.

Fentanyl is a fully synthetic opioid with analgesic and anesthetic properties.It has become a primary driver of the deadliest opioid crisis in the United States and elsewhere,consequently imposing devastating social,economic,and health burdens worldwide.However,the neural mechanisms that underlie the behavioral effects of fentanyl and its analogs are largely unknown,and approaches to prevent fentanyl abuse and fentanyl-related overdose deaths are scarce.This review presents the abuse potential and unique pharmacology of fentanyl and elucidates its potential mechanisms of action,including neural circuit dysfunction and neuroinflammation.We discuss recent progress in the development of pharmacological interventions,anti-fentanyl vaccines,anti-fentanyl/heroin conjugate vaccines,and monoclonal antibodies to attenuate fentanyl-seeking and prevent fentanyl-induced respiratory depression.However,translational studies and clinical trials are still lacking.Considering the present opioid crisis,the development of effective pharmacological and immunological strategies to prevent fentanyl abuse and overdose are urgently needed.

Modulation of geometric and electronic structures of supported Pd-based catalysts by forming atomically ordered intermetallic phases enables an effective way to optimize catalytic performance.However,the synthesis of small-sized Pd-based intermetallic nanoparticle catalysts with improved mass-based activity remains formidable challenges,since high-temperature annealing generally required for atom ordering inevitably leads to severe metal sintering and thus large crystallites.Here,we present a bulky nanodiamond-confined method to prepare sub-5 nm Pd_(3)Pb intermetallic nanocatalysts by mitigating metal sintering at high temperatures,which is induced by the electronic interactions between metal and defect-rich graphene shells reinforced by diamond cores in the bulky nanodiamond support.The prepared small-sized Pd_(3)Pb intermetallic catalyst displays a high activity with a turnover frequency of 932 h−1 for the semihydrogenation of phenylacetylene under mild conditions(room temperature,3 bar H_(2)),along with a high selectivity of>96%to styrene near the complete conversion of phenylacetylene.

Tailoring polymer acceptors by electron linkers for achieving efficient and stable all-polymer solar cells

The trade-off between efficiency and stability is a bit vague,and it can be tricky to precisely control the bulk morphology to simultaneously improve device efficiency and stability.Herein,three fused-ring conducted polymer acceptors containing fur an,thiophene and selenophene as the electron linkers in their conjugated backbones,namely PY-O,PY-S and PY-S e,were designed and synthesized.The electron linker engineering affects the intermolecular interactions of relative polymer acceptors and their charge transport properties.Furthermore,excellent material compatibility was achieved when PY-Se was blended with polymer donor PBDB-T,resulting in nanoscale domains with favorable phase separation.The optimized PBDB-T:PY-Se blend not only exhibits maximum performance with a power conversion efficiency of 15.48%,which is much higher than those of PBDB-T:PY-O(9.80%) and PBDB-T:PY-S(14.16%) devices,but also shows better storage and operational stabilities,and mechanical robustness.This work demonstrates that precise modification of electron linkers can be a practical way to simultaneously actualize molecular crystallinity and phase mis cibility for improving the performance of all-polymer solar cells,showing practical significance.

Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)is one of the most widely used block ciphers nowadays,and has been established as an encryption standard in 2001.Here we design AES-128 and the sample-AES(S-AES)quantum circuits for deciphering.In the quantum circuit of AES-128,we perform an affine transformation for the SubBytes part to solve the problem that the initial state of the output qubits in SubBytes is not the|0⟩⊗8 state.After that,we are able to encode the new round sub-key on the qubits encoding the previous round sub-key,and this improvement reduces the number of qubits used by 224 compared with Langenberg et al.’s implementation.For S-AES,a complete quantum circuit is presented with only 48 qubits,which is already within the reach of existing noisy intermediate-scale quantum computers.
